The Hōzen Through The Seasons

1x01 || It’s a Hozen and in Buddhism, it symbolizes reconnecting.


1x05 || And you gave me this. I mean, it’s an arrowhead.


2x02 || And my brother gave me that when he came back from the dead. Said it was a Hozen…some Buddhist thing that symbolizes reconnecting.


2x07 || It has a Buddhist inscription on one side. It reminded me of my father.


5x08 || It’s called a Hozen. It symbolizes reconnecting…It’s a very thoughtful gesture from your amazingly loving sister.


7x01 || It’s a symbol of re-connection. Oliver gave it to Thea and she gave it to me before she left.  As long as you have this, I will always be able to find you.

Separated but always together.

What I loved most about that Olicity scene was that it completely reaffirmed how strong their relationship is, and how much they truly love each other.

I wanted Felicity to be allowed to display a myriad of emotions this season, including anger and frustration at her husband’s decisions. But for this to in no way affect the strength of their bond.

They are solid. Nothing can break them.

But Felicity is still allowed to feel what she feels.

This is what happens when you don’t have a misogynist running your show. Women are allowed to be real and have a pov without getting crucified for it. Hallelujah!

Arrow Season 6 Wrap Up

As is becoming my habit, I’ve waited until the new season is about to start before I write my wrap up for the previous season.  

At least it gives you something to read while I work on my premiere review. Also, it’s nice to look at the previous season before we embark on the new one. Season 6 feels oddly straightforward for me, so this will be quick and to the point. Yes, I can do that! I HAVE LAYERS.
