I absolutely emailed Melissa’s publicity team, her agents, and her managers, buuuuut someone is in fact on vacation so at least one is out of the office until the 25th.
Even so, I sent it to a handful of others and I’m posting it because I want to do right by all of you. I attached some screenshots of quotes that I had permission to use that aren’t pictured here, and the email addresses of Melissa’s representatives were attained professionally. I hope this message is well-received because I think that as a community wlw deserve a lot better than what our Supergirl showed us today. ♡
Harry, laughing with the others, was glad to have an innocent reason to look at Ginny; he had received several more Bludgers injuries during practice because he had not been keeping his eyes on the snitch. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
#i just love this moment right here #the pure happiness radiating from both of them #’do you want to get out of here’ and an emphatic ‘yes’ #alec’s slowly spreading grin #magnus’s smitten face and the embodiment of heart-eyes #the way they circle in each other’s gravity #it’s a fleeting moment but it feels like everything
does anyone ever think about the fact that Julian Blackthorn takes the time to draw out expressions Ty doesn’t understand and patiently explain them to him and does anyone ever think about how Julian does everything possible to make sure his autistic little brother grows up with all the love and encouragement possible in a world where if anybody found out about Ty’s autism he would be shunned and separated from his family and does anyone ever think about how even though Julian and most other shadowhunters don’t know anything about autism or the spectrum because their education doesn’t bother to entertain the possibility that shadowhunters can be anything less than physically and mentally perfect he never once regarded his brother as broken or lets Ty feel like there’s anything wrong with him does anyone ever think about that because I do
another thing occurs to me about dave is that, despite great comet’s appallingly short run and despite everything that occurred within it, he’s notable. he’s the composer who took one of the most notoriously long books of all time and made a musical in a way that no one has ever seen before, and in doing so he gained so many fans and followers that will support him as he continues on. he’s overwhelmed with fan-mail and he’s gained so many supporters in the span of the past few months and i feel like even the encouragement of all of these people is going to only help him charge forward.
perhaps in the business world, great comet was snubbed, but the fact that dave malloy’s bizarre war and peace musical made it onto broadway is astounding in itself. i don’t know, i’ve been feeling sad about this closing lately but i’m realizing that the sheer fact that we got here and that dave got here is amazing, he is the creator of a show with twelve tony nominations, he is the person who took on an impossible project and made it beautiful. he isn’t going to be forgotten after this. this isn’t over for him. he has the fans and fame he couldn’t have imagined when he was starting this show and he’s only going to go up from here.
