feel free to use or whatever

Us

So, I’ve decided to create a blog specifically with the intent to listen. On this blog, I want for you to feel like you are free to ask whatever you need. To say whatever is on your mind. It’s for you, it’s for us; I want for this blog to help us feel less alone and above all else to encourage understanding, in that we are all the same, we just maybe hurt and heal a little differently.

On this blog, I will also be posting photographs, videos, quotes, poems, and writings that either I myself, or you guys submit, (I encourage creativity here as well; post stories and poems with the intent to enlighten us, to share brainwaves,) have found helpful, inspirational, and stirring.

My main blog is meant to be a place for me to celebrate my love for Peter Parker/Spider-man, and while I will never turn you down here if this is where you ask for understanding, to be heard, I figured it would be better to give you a door to enter that was specifically made for you.

Please follow and submit asks/send messages here @rileywrites-us

Hey anon! Fellow "faggot" here as you seem to like to call us lovely LGBTQ+ folks. I'm telling you, I care about this person, this wonderfully kind person who has done nothing here to deserve hate. If you want to argue that point, feel free to come talk to me and we can have a nice chat about all this. I'm saying this off anon so you know exactly where to find me. Hope your day goes better than whatever happened on the day that made you decide talking like this to people was okay.

I made icons in response to tumblr’s censorship of the lgbt+ community because apparently our existence is “sensitive content.”

- feel free to use them for whatever you wish!

- also send an ask if you want me to make an edit with another flag in it because I’ll do it woo

Compilation of some of my favorite dialogues from the BNHA manga.

I really hope all of these make it into the anime, cause they’re all comedy gold.

Bakugou: Heh, kid thinks he’s an adult.
Todoroki: reminds me of someone I know….
Bakugou: AH? HE’S NOTHING LIKE ME! AT LEAST I DON’T KEEP ALL MY EMOTIONS PENT UP INSIDE LIKE A CERTAIN SOMEONE!
Todoroki: relax… it was a joke.

Yaoyorozu: The more I consume, the more I can create.
Sero: kinda like poop
[Jirou punches Sero in the face]

Bakugou: KING OF EXPLODOKILLS
Midnight: I’d suggest trying something different for your hero name…that’s not gonna slide….
Bakugou: fine.
Bakugou: BARON OF EXPLODOKILLS
Midnight: Again…not gonna slide.
Kirishima: How about Blasty McSplode!?!

Shouji: I’ll tell you now…I don’t have anything interesting in my room…
Mina: …more like you don’t have anything PERIOD!!!
Todoroki: ….Is this what they refer to as “minimalist”?

[Yaoyorozu offers to tutor people]
Kirishima: [to Bakugou] Talk about a gap in personal virtue
Bakugou: I’m plenty virtuous too fuckmunch!! Why don’t I tutor you till you’re a puddle of blood?!?
Kirishima: Ohh i’ll take you up on that!

Todoroki: Bakugou, what are you going to do about the provisional license supplementary lessons?
Bakugou: THAT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS
Todoroki: Well then, I’ll leave you to your cleaning. Enjoy!!
Bakugou: DAMN IT!!!

📚Dorm Room Witch Tips📦

While you’re getting ready to move into your dorm room, keep these tips in mind to help create a witchy experience for you in the dorm.

📦 Take a small box with you. Fill it with your tools and keep it under the bed or on your desk. It conceals it from others’ eyes (you can also have it open if you’re open with your craft) while it’s near you and it helps to keep things organized and out of the way.
📦 Bring a blanket, rug, towel, or tapestry with you. You can keep these things folded under your bed and then lay them out when you feel like meditating or praying. You can also use these for your work space if your desk doesn’t have enough room to work with.
📦 Change your alarm clock noise to sound like a bell if it’s possible. Each time it goes off, it will cleanse the room.
📦 Use an essential oil diffuser as a substitute to incense or candle smoke. A cheap way to diffuse oils is to pour the essential oil of your choice on some Himalayan pink salt. This will also cover up any gross smells from the cafeteria or other peoples’ microwaves.
📦 If you have a window, keep crystals on the windowsill (unless they fade in sunlight). This keeps them off your desk and it also looks really pretty!
📦 You can also make a mobile with your crystals as long as they aren’t too big. You can hang this anywhere in your room and it won’t take up a lot of space.
📦 Use fake candles or fire salt instead of real candles. Most dorms don’t allow open flames, so do not risk getting caught for a spell. Use a substitute instead, which can be fake candles, fire salt, chili pepper, or any other symbol of the element.
📦 Enchant, like, everything. If you can find a purpose for an object, enchant it. Want to enchant your desk chair to be more comfortable? Do it. Want to enchant your desk to help you get your homework done? Do it. Want to enchant your clothes to keep attention away from you? Go ahead. Make life easier with some enchantments!
📦 Bring a chalkboard or a dry erase board. It doesn’t have to be huge, but these can be really handy, especially if you use them for sigils. You can draw whatever sigils on them whenever you like and erase those you don’t want to have around anymore. Simply charge them (perhaps with an enchanted marker) after you draw them!
📦 Bring something to motivate or reconnect you with witchcraft. During school, we may fall out of practice. School gets busy and tough, so don’t feel down about not being able to practice 24/7, but definitely bring something to motivate you for those days when you are free and could be practicing, but you don’t because you may be feeling disconnected or something. It could be a poster, crystal, sachet, or a charm. Have it where you can see and touch it- it could be above your bed, on your desk, wherever. Use it to help you practice again.

So it took a while for this one but here is another Jenny’s Witchy How-To! Last time was Self Love Rose Soy Milk Tea, check it out HERE!

Based on the voting poll I did a while back on my Twitter, the top requested How-To was for a bath mix! <3

So because things have been crazy & stressful I want to remind everyone that it’s important to take a break from time to time and let go of the things that might be a little too heavy right now. Stop, breathe deep and take a moment to live in the moment & clear your mind! It’s ok to treat yourself, it’s ok to stop and relax!

Before you continue, please be aware of any allergies you might have! Always play it safe and read labels! This is just my personal blend but please feel free to substitute things to suit your needs! If you are unsure of something, a quick google search for alternatives should help! <3

Things You Will Need:

-Epsom Salt: Epsom Salt is great for relaxing muscles and soothing any tension you may be carrying. If you choose to use salt’s that are scented, be aware that the mingling smells combined with the oils and incense might effect the overall scent of your bath! Approx 1 cup

-Himalayan Salt: Salt in general is great for cleansing & purification, himalayan salt has the added bonus of self love & positivity! Just a small pile in about the palm of your hand should do.

-Lavender Essential Oil: Much like the rest of the ingredients, you don’t have to use this sent, I say lavender for a couple reasons: it’s a scent that is perfect for calm soothing relaxation, this oil is safe for skin contact, and it’s my preferred scent, hah! Please make sure whatever oil you use is safe for skin! Approx 5 drops.

-Dry Lavender: Now when I say dry lavender, I’m really saying any safe herb or flower you choose, hah! These can be dry or fresh! Again lavender is known for it’s relaxation benefits but feel free to look up herbs online or try some of these other relaxing herbs:
-chamomile -rosemary

-green tea -mint

-lemon balm -rose

-Small Bag/ Cheesecloth: So this part is optional for anyone who does not want the salts & flowers floating openly in the bath water. You are essentially going to be making a bath teabag using either a small loose fabric bag, cheese cloth or even a coffee filter will work! You are going to be putting everything but the oil in this and tying the top tightly closed so nothing spills out!

-Candles: If you have the counter space (that’s safe for it) I highly recommend candles! Putting out 3-4 small candles always helps me get into a more magical state of mind!

-Incense: If you like, try lighting your fave incense while you soak!

-Crystals: And heck yes you should put out some crystals to help raise your vibration to a positive level! You can have them set out nearby the tub OR if you know they will be ok in salt water you can add them into your bath with you! Remember to look up the properties of crystals before adding them into the water! I personally like to use tumbled amethyst, clear quartz and rose quartz stones which help with clarity of mind, positivity and self love!

-Drinking Water: Yes, drinking water! I always find myself getting dehydrated when I take these baths, not just because it’s hot & steamy but also because of the salts which can dehydrate you! I like to make an ice cold water with cucumber, blueberries and a little lemon!

And lastly, feel free to put your phone somewhere safe and play some meditation music!

Now that you have your items gathered up & you are ready to turn on the bath water take a moment to stop and breathe deeply. Imagine that all the thoughts, feelings and vibrations that are weighing you down or stressing you out are large stones in your arms. They are heavy but they are not serving your highest good. Remind yourself, “I no longer need these and they no longer weigh me down” and visualize yourself letting go of these stones. As you do this breathe deeply exhaling as you let go of the troubles from yesterday. Once you have let go of these troubles remind yourself “I allow myself to relax free of worry and free of fear”

<3 LET’S GET RELAXING! <3

Turn on your meditation music, light your candles and start your incense! Start filling your tub with hot/warm water, if you put your ingredients in a bag submerge and let the bag soak as the bath fills. If you choose to do the ingredients loose; as the bath fills add your salts and oils stirring them into the bath with your hand in a clockwise motion. Once the tub has filled add your crystals and herbs. Imagine that the crystals combined with the salts and herbs have made the water a bright glowing water of positivity and relaxation. As you step into these bright waters imagine it dissolving away any stress, worry, fear, anxiety, anything at all. Breathe deeply and say some positive affirmations! These can be anything from “I wash away the troubles of yesterday” to “I am at peace” or anything in particular that you feel is best for you! Once you have finished, make sure you compost all herbs and never let them go down the drain!

I hope you all enjoyed this relaxing bath & that you are all filled with positive energies as well as being in a calmer state of mind!

Much love <3

Samhain will be here before you know it. Sometimes referred to as “The Witches New Year” it is, not only a time that’s believed to be when the veil between our world and the afterlife is at it’s thinnest, but also a time to reflect on the past year and look to the future.

Let this spread be a guide as you prepare yourself for the cold and dark months ahead.

Card 1 : Your Past

This card represents all you’ve learned and experience this past year (since last Samhain). Let this be a reminder to you of how far you’ve come.

Card 2 : Your Future Love Life

Will you have one? Is it important? What should you be focusing on in your relationship in the new year? These are all questions that this card can answer for you.

Card 3 :Your Future Work

This card will represent your career for the coming new year. Whether this be to help you figure out any doubts you have about a new career path or promotion, or if how you can better improve your current work ethic / attitude. Let this card help you figure out where you’re trying to head [in your career] in the new year.

Card 4 : Your Present

What are you still dealing with right now? This card will help you better understand where you’re at in this moment so that you’ll better understand how to get to where you want to be.

Card 5 : Your Future Self

Let this card be a guide for your coming new year. Allow it to represent where you need to be in the future, as far as self and self-love goes.

*fart noise*

School can be exhausting so these are my ways of dealing with stress and I’m, obviously, not an expert, but it helped me.

Take a bath

Get a bath bomb, shave your legs, and just relax in the warm water

Get an adult coloring book

I can’t tell you how much getting a coloring book helped me with stress. When I have free time, or a free class, or I just feel like coloring, I get my coloring book and just start.

Draw / doodle

Have a sketchbook where you can draw little things, or even big things. Draw random stuff that comes to your mind to free your thoughts. If you are bad at drawing, don’t worry cause it’s your private thing and you don’t have to show this to anyone.

Paint

Same as drawing but this time instead of just a pencil, use watercolors or ink or markers, whatever you want and have. Create a masterpiece and if you like it pin it on your wall to remind you that you can do great things!

Do some origami

You have a ton of YouTube videos of how to do some basic origami. Fold your paper and enjoy your finished work.

Stretch

After a study session, stretch from head to toe. You will feel better because blood will easily come to your brain and you won’t have any back pain for sitting too long.

Exercise

Every day, at morning or at night (or both if you are available) do some exercises for 20-30 minutes. If you are not that into exercising, you could dance with some up-beat music like nobody is watching.

Go for a quick run or ride a bike for 5 minutes

It will boost your energy and you will go outside and see the actual sun, or even clouds. Fresh air is really important for your health, so are little things that boost your energy.

Listen to music

Maybe you are listening to music while studying, but listening to music while doing nothing else is also great. On the ride on the bus/train or whatever you’re taking, get some headphones and jam to your favourite music.

Take a nap

You come from school exhausted and you know you need to study, but it’s really hard for you to focus, just take a nap. Or if you are studying for 3-4 hours straight for that test tomorrow or writing a extra long essay - take a nap. 15-20 minutes is enough.

Get a diary or journal and write it down

Recently I started again writing into a diary (I haven’t done that since I was 12-13) and I can’t tell you how much better I feel after writing my thoughts down on paper. For me, writing with a pen/pencil instead of typing had me more focused on actually freeing my thoughts, but if you want to type you can. Also, it is funny to read some of your daily entries after a couple of years.

Meditate

Lay on your back, or sit on a comfortable chair, close your eyes and just breathe. Try not to think of your work, or problems and just breathe. If you are religious, you can also pray.

Clean your room

Clear room = clear mind. Having a nice and tidy room helps me more to focus and not to think of the mess surrounding me. Also, cleaning can be calming and stress relieving, if you focus on cleaning instead of your thoughts.

Drink a glass of water

You will be more hydrated and feel much better. So just drink your water.

Eat a fruit

It’s healthy and sweet, what else is there to say about?

I hope some of those help you. Keep in mind that you, obviously, don’t have to everything everyday. Doing a few of these will really be beneficial for your mental health and your body.

Sending much love to you all, V. ❤
