Ok so I violently want a leopard gecko so may I have a few tips or rules on owning one

Yeah for sure! If you ever have any specific questions, feel free to send an ask or message me!

~RULEBOOK FOR THE LEOPARD GECK KEEPER~

1. No matter what places say, even if it is calcium sand, do not use sand. Don’t do it. It’s dangerous! And smelly too

2. Draw out a little month chart of when you dust your leos bugs! They don’t need to be dusted every feeding. Maybe do it twice a week! Make sure you adhere to it

3. Leos (like most geckos) are solitary animals. Don’t believe anyone who tries to tell you that two females can go together! It causes unnecessary stress for them both, and you may wake up to one of them injured.

4. Be careful with what cleaning products you use. Lots of them are toxic! Even if it makes the glass look good, I never use Windex because it has chemicals. I use a mixture of vinegar and water.

5. Be careful with scents! Though not as sensitive to scents as snakes, the perfume/ candle/ incense you’re using, is releasing particles into the air that can be harmful to the little guys lungs. I don’t burn scented candles in my room, and I spray my body mist in a different room!

6. It’s very good to use a UTH! Leopard geckos use stomach heat to activate the enzymes in their stomach, to properly digest food. So using an under tank heater with a thermostat (you can get them online) will help your geck be as happy as can be!

7. Make sure what objects you use for decorations or enrichment in your tank, are non toxic and not sharp! I have a ziplock with Eco earth in my tank for my female leo, but the door I cut in it I burned with a candle so the edges are dull. Any branches you get from outside should be baked in an oven to assure there’s no parasites, and any rocks should be boiled. Be especially careful with rocks you find outside. Some can be harmful to them!

Anyway, I hope this helps. Some good tips to live by! 💕 if you ever have any more questions let me know!

Here are some Valentine’s day cards!

Don’t have any pick up lines? Don’t worry fam, i got u

I’ve wanted to make these since i was like 15 and it fINALLY HAPPENED WOO

Feel free to use them! Wanna write your own (possibly less terrible) pick up lines?

How to adult on a budget for the lazy and new adulting people (by a not-so-adulty-adult)
  • learn how to cut your own hair. If it’s something easy like an undercut or just trimming your ends every month, you’ll look clean and put together without shelling out $20 every month. (my hair cutting stuff cost like $20 total)
  • if you have to go to a laundromat, make your own detergent. Or just in general. It’s about $15 for everything you’ll need and it’ll make you a solid 6-10 batches depending on how many soap bars you get. 1 bar ivory soap or fels-naptha (ivory works just fine tbh. Cheaper and easier to find) Grate that shit. 1 cup borax and 1 cup washing powder. Mix that shit. 1 tablespoon in the wash. Boom. Add essential oils if you so choose.
  • On the topic of laundry, throw all your clothes in the same load. Use the cold-cold setting and you can put those red shirts in with your whites with no bleeding whatsoever. (read those tags tho. unless it needs special care, most shirts/pants/socks/underwear can all be thrown together)
  • When money is tight for food, rice, 2 pounds of chicken, some kind of stock or bouillon cubes, and frozen veggies make about 2-3 different meals.
  • Keep a few bouillon cubes handy tbh. Cook rice in it. Make soup. They’re so much cheaper than stock itself.
  • Coconut oil for everything from actual oil to chapstick to cracked skin.
  • Baby powder makes a fairly good dry shampoo. Put it on your roots, scrub around, brush out. Boom.
  • Make scripts for all phone calls you ever have to make to make them go smoother. (bills, doctors, work, etc)
  • Fill 1 side of the sink with water to do your dishes and then rinse with the smallest amount of water possible so you dont end up using a lot of water.
  • Gasbuddy.com helps you find the cheapest gas near you!
  • Aldi has great cheap groceries
  • If you live alone or with 1 roommate, you don’t really need more than 12 megabyte internet speed. By yourself? Don’t get more than 6 tbh. You won’t need it.
  • Freeze all meats and veggies! Let’s be honest. You wont be eating carrots every day or that ground beef often enough for it to not go bad, Throw it in the freezer.
  • Dollar store cleaning supplies save the world. Everything there besides liquid soap is basically just as good. (glass cleaner, bleach, magic erasers, so on and so forth)
  • Dollar stores in general. Most things there will do in a pinch. (earbuds and most electronic/battery powered things are a no-no however)
  • Nail polish remover gets hair dye stains. Hydrogen peroxide gets up blood. Milk for ink. Chalk for oil.
  • Once you finish using a pot or pan, put hot water in it until you’re ready to clean it. Stuff will just wipe off.

Here are some Photoshop tips and tricks that I wish I’d known when I started digital painting. The shortcuts are for Photoshop CS6, but they should be similar across versions.

  • Flip your canvas while sketching. This will make anatomical flaws painfully obvious and may help you work out areas you’re having trouble with. You may literally recoil in horror when you flip it (I know I have), but after you fix the mistakes and flip it back your drawing will look much better. (Image > Image rotation > Flip canvas horizontal).
  • Liquify is your best friend for fixing your sketch. It allows you to push and pull sections of your drawing around so you can fix little things without having to redraw them a million times. However, it will slightly blur the areas you push around so don’t use it on your final images because you’ll loose some detail. (Filter > Liquify…).
  • Adjust the brush presets for smoother lines. Photoshop’s default brushes have spacing set to 25% for some bizarre reason; reducing the spacing to 1% will give you smoother lines. (Brush panel > Spacing > 1%).
  • Rename and rearrange your brush presets. Save brush settings you like, delete the ones you don’t use, and test/rename all the brushes you download to avoid cluttering up your presets and streamline your process. Everyone loves trying new brushes, but I always end up going back to the same 5. You can also rearrange your workspace under the Window menu.
  • Blend your colours while painting by selecting the intermediate colour. Okay, everyone and their mom has probably told you that blending with the intermediate colour is far superior to the Blur and Smudge Tools. What they usually fail to mention is that you can quickly select any colour on your canvas by holding the ALT key while using the Brush Tool. (I’ve programmed one of the hot keys on my tablet to be ALT so I can select colours quickly while painting without having to switch to Eyedropper Tool or Colour Picker).
  • Use Clipping Masks to restrict your painting to a specific area. Need 12 layers to get the right skin tone but tired of erasing the edges of each one so they line up perfectly? Use a clipping mask to prevent a layer from exceeding the boundaries of the layer below it. (Layers panel > new layer > RIGHT CLICK > Create clipping mask).
  • Test your colour and tone variety by taking them to the extreme. Using adjustment layers that max out the saturation of you painting will give you a clear idea of the colours you’ve used and the overall hue of your piece. Another adjustment layer minimizing saturation will make it obvious where you need to add more light or shadow to boost your contrast. (Layers panel > Create new fill or adjustment layer > Hue/saturation… > Saturation set to +100 or -100).
  • Make your painting more cohesive with Curves. Curves will adjust the overall hue and tone of your painting, which can quickly tie all of your elements together and add atmosphere. You can also adjust Levels and Brightness/Contrast in the same way. (Layers panel > Create new fill or adjustment layer > Curves…)

Harry Styles’ Natal Chart Analysis

So many of you have been asking me to do this forever and I finally finished it and decided to post it! It’s quite long but quite worth the read.  (And very interesting.  Especially if you want to see what you have in common with him!)

A general note: none of this is written from any bias or from what we as fans already know. It was taken from websites and books that I own, as well as my own knowledge of the signs and how they affect a person.  Read this willing to note the positive AND negative aspects of his personality.

Please feel free to ask me any questions about my own personal feelings/interpretations of this, or chime in with your own!

Without further ado and below the cut, here is… the Natal Chart of Harry Styles.
