prompt: Phil is a boarding school student, and he has pretty much everything. His dad owns the school, he’s pretty popular, has the best room, gets all the best treatment – he’s the King. Dan is a cleaner/phil’s personal maid there, and he isn’t as lucky. Some students are assholes to Dan, including Phil at first.
you all so so much for your consistent patience with this. College work (and a
hell of a lot of it) has unfortunately become my priority right now what with
university just around the corner and subsequently I haven’t updated it nearly
as regularly as I would have liked to, but you guys have been so supportive and
understanding and I really cannot thank you enough for that. I’ve missed this
and I’ve missed you. Here’s to more regular updates in the future <3
I’m sorry if this seems a lil wooden I haven’t written this in literal months
so it might take a while for me to adjust to the story and the prose again so
pls bear with me)

Phil’s been on edge all week.
He can’t remember the last time he relaxed.
Every day, every hour right
from the second his eyes flutter open to the sound of his morning alarm, is
spent with a thudding heart and searching eyes. Even when he’s sleeping he’s tense – his dreams have
spiralled into a whirlwind of almost nightmares,
technicolour episodes crashing into the other in colourful sparks and bursts
that end in cold sweats and aching muscles and whisperings from the boy only
centimetres away from him. And it’s stupid because Phil should be the one
comforting him after a bad night (and
he still tries his best nonetheless), but he can’t deny there’s nothing quite
like the feeling of Dan’s gentle lips on his forehead at four a.m., the sound
of his voice whispering reassurances with his arms draped over Phil’s waist
like a protective shield.
He hasn’t seen Liam since he
grabbed at any excuse and all but ran
out of Noah’s room upon his discovery that no, Phil doesn’t still have a tag,
and he’s scared. He’s so fucking scared.
And yeah, it was a very stupid
move to dodge the bullet in the way he did, to fling himself out of the
situation without even stopping to at least
try and explain himself, but he couldn’t help it. He doesn’t think he can
face sitting through another one of Liam’s explosions without crying or running
for cover, and he just can’t look that evil glint in the eye. Not since he saw
the very same one glittering menacingly when Liam looked at Dan, the daggering
stare boring into the other boy. The image is still printed deep in Phil’s
mind, resurfacing during the darkest part of the night.
That’s cowardly. Phil doesn’t

Album: The White Album – released November 22nd, 1968
“While John was busy experimenting with sounds, Paul started and finished the recording of ‘Blackbird’, a lovely new composition which featured his own lead vocal, double-tracked in places via an overdub, accompanied by his acoustic guitar and a metronome gently ticking away in the background. It was a straightforward recording – no reductions necessary – and was perfected by the 32nd run through, just 11 of which were complete.
There was one other addition to the four-track tape: chirruping blackbirds, courtesy of “Volume Seven: Birds of Feather”, from the Abbey Road taped sound effects collection, the doors of the trusty green cabinet already being open during this evening for raidings by John Lennon. “I taped that on one of the first portable EMI tape-recorders, in my back garden in Ickenham, about 1965,” recalls Stuart Eltham.
“There are two recordings, one of the bird singing, the other making an alarm sound when I startled it.” Six mono remixes of the song were made before the session in studio two ended, the sixth being ‘best’.”

Kaz set down his leather satchel as he slid into a chair in the back of the classroom. He was intentionally early on the first day of school, wanting to get his preferred seat. He got a book out of his bag and started to read as people started filling the classroom. His peers tended to sit away from him, knowing his reputation. Kaz liked how others were a little afraid and curious of him, but didn’t always enjoy the alone-ness this caused for him, which he tried not to admit to himself.
Kaz’s watch showed a couple minutes left before class started. As he leaned back to observe his classmates, a petite girl with a backpack almost as big as her walked in. Kaz was struck first by her build, an athletic and graceful body complimented by her white sweater and black jeans. He then abruptly noticed her hair, how it fell smoothly down her back in a sleek braid. He was too busy concentrating on how strangely pleasing she was that he jumped when she suddenly looked right at him. She made eye-contact and smiled which sent a shock down his spine. Why is someone I’ve never met before having this sort of impact on me? Kaz thought with bewilderment. He fought his now muddled brain back for control. Kaz schooled his features back in place to show a careless and somewhat arrogant face. To his surprise, however, the girl walked straight towards him.
“Hello,” she said pleasantly as she sat down in the desk next to Kaz. “I’m Inej.”
“Kaz,” he replied, looking down at her. She was quite pretty.
“It’s a pleasure. Oh, is that Gone With the Wind?” She furrowed her eyebrows looking at the cover of Kaz’s book.
“What, you don’t like it? It’s a classic.” Kaz examined her displeased face.
“It gives an unrealistic portrayal of slavery in America. It makes it seem like the slaves were treated like human beings, and that they were glad to be forced to work for the entirety of their lives. That is a dangerous and totally inaccurate message to send.”
Kaz opened his mouth to reply, but the teacher walked in and Inej turned her attention to the front of the class.
Throughout the lesson(math, something Kaz excelled in but found endlessly boring), Kaz looked over at Inej. He was compelled by her, something he wasn’t with most people his age. This pushed him to reach into his binder and pull out a note card. He quickly scrawled a question: But by being inaccurate about slavery, doesn’t the book clearly show the mindset that Southerners had in the author’s generation about the outcome of the Civil War and slavery in general? Kaz folded the note card and slipped it onto Inej’s desk. She glanced at him and opened the note, eyes quickly scanning what he had written. She suddenly broke into a bright smile that made Kaz’s heart leap. He watched with warmth spreading through him as she quickly wrote a reply.
At the end of class, the teacher announced a project that was to be done in groups. Kaz usually hated group projects, as it decreased the quality of work when he had to tolerate and explain what he was doing to slow peers. But when he saw Inej look at him with a question in her eyes, he felt a rush. Kaz smiled, something rare, and nodded, looking forward to an excuse to get to work more with this beautiful, intriguing girl.
appeared masculine but i don't remember them as one specific gender. Gabriel was a guiding light, powerful and unreachable -- at least to me in the time i knew them. i didn't speak to them, but i looked up to them (literally and figuratively) and they would offer me encouragement and gentle greetings. I know I aspired to be like them
they? (again, I get the same feeling as with Gabriel) have been puzzling me for a long time because I don't remember much of how I felt about them, but I have memories of them protecting me. I know I recognised how powerful they were and I was maybe a little scared of them, but they always kept me safe and maybe trained me to fight a little? Like I remember going into battle and them being by my side and I looked up at them and adjusted my grip on my weapon and they was so approving and I felt so confident
I don't remember much about Zadkiel, but I remember him being a powerful presence, about as much as Azrael if not more, and that he was with me in battle to keep me strong and unshaken. I don't remember him being there much for things other than battle but I know that when he was needed, he was never far away
I remember he was close to Jophi, and that while he was here for me too I think he was more around for Jophiel. They were very close, as I remember -- perhaps even lovers, though I'm not certain. I know Nathaniel was as warm as his aura and associations would suggest, and he resonated with calm and comfort and love
Mischievous and fun-loving, loves cracking jokes and being deliberately mysterious. He is still capable of being serious when it matters, though, and can be a grounding and caring influence. he tends to cater how he behaves towards you in a way that best fits your needs -- with me, for example, i've always been stubborn and distrustful so rather than telling me things outright about myself as an angel or anything spiritual, he'll drop hints and nudge me in the right direction so that i come to my own conclusions and trust them more
I know most of the archangels are most often seen as male, but I've always personally instinctively felt like she was female more often. And I feel like she was quite a calming influence -- all of them were good fun and good company but I remember Raphael being a really chill person like she could have fun and with the rest of us but in such a cool-headed way, y'know? To the point where even in battle she wouldn't lose her cool.
I don't know if I knew him personally, but I get the feeling I wasn't as fond of him as my other brothers. I'm not certain, however -- it's all speculation on his front.
...I don't wanna talk about it. I loved him. But y'know-.. War never changes.
Luci was arguably the closest of all my brothers, moreso even than Jophi. While the other angels treated me as a lovable fledgeling, mentoring and taking care of me, Luci treated me more like an equal. We had fun together, and he was always ready to show me new things or experience them with me. He was the best brother I could have hoped for, and I believe I sided with him during the war due to my own feelings of unease with the way things were run in Heaven.
Summary: You have cramps and Steve is doing his best to comfort you.
A/N: Just fluff. :)
Word Count: 644
You slumped in the door, dropping your stuff immediately. Steve looked up from the couch, hearing you groan.
“What’s wrong?” he asked as you stripped off your coat.
“I have cramps.” You whined miserably. “I’m going to go put on pajamas.” you trudged to your bedroom.
You redressed in pajama shorts and one of Steve’s blue sweatshirts. You dragged your feet back into the kitchen and opened a cupboard, looking for your favorite mug.
“I already made you some tea.” Steve spoke up. You turned around and saw Steve standing in the living room with your favorite mug, full of steaming Chamomile tea. “I got you everything you need.” he held out two tablets of Tylenol to you and you saw that your heating pad was already turned on, resting on the arm of the couch. Your eyes welled up, your emotions getting the better of you.
Summary: Before his big plan, Kai decides he’s going to stay on the down low for a bit, which means he needs somewhere to hide out for a while. Since no one usually walks onto your doorstep asking for help, you’re not sure what to do when you see a familiar face behind your open door. However, that’s not what spooked you. The declaration of emotions coming from the one person who you thought was incapable of love, is what got to you.
Pairing: Kai Parker x Reader
Universe/Fandom: The Vampire Diaries, CW.
Word Count: 1,540
Warnings: Not anything important, sort of fluffy Kai, a little heated make-out session. ;)
A/N: This is my first EVER Kai Parker imagine, so excuse me if there are any mistakes or errors. Feedback would be extremely appreciated, and I’m very open to writing more Kai imagines, or even other fandom imagines, such as The Flash (ofc), DC, Marvel, Supernatural, and TVD. Lemme know what you think! Hope you enjoy!
Kai knew before he took action in his big, miraculous plan that he needed a moment to think. Now, being a sociopath doesn’t always mean that you’re crazy and dangerous - sometimes it means that you just need help - but in Kai’s situation, danger is exactly what it means and more. So he wasn’t surprised when he watched your eyes grow wide in fear at the one person you promised to never get involved with again while he was standing on your doorstep.
But Kai was never one to back down from a challenge, and your promise to stay away from him was a challenge he knew he would always be willing to take.
“Hey, doll face.” Kai greeted you with a wide, sinister smile that he knew you could never resist. And he was right. Almost instantly, you felt your knees grow weak at your feet, but you stood your ground, wrapping your arms around your chest to show you were not backing down from this fight.
You had shifted your weight on your feet before greeting Kai with a hissing tone. “What are you doing here, Parker?” Your tone was enough to put Kai on the edge, considering he had a soft spot for you since the moment you two met, and silently he panicked, thinking you weren’t going to let him in. But somewhere deep inside him, he knew you would always be there for him. Which is exactly why he came to you now, more than ever.
“I just need a place to stay for a bit. Do you mind, doll?” he motioned inside your house, his voice as smooth as caramel. But you weren’t going to crack that easily.
“Get lost, Kai.” You hissed, before slamming the door shut on his face. But before the door could completely close, Kai’s foot interrupted the impact, making you groan.
His voice echoed in your ears, a sound you silently missed, but wished would disappear. “Come on, Y/N. You know I’m not leaving until you let me in.” You had wished that weren’t the case, but it was, and he knew just how to get you to crack, which made your blood boil. A loud groan from deep within your throat, then you found yourself opening the door wide enough for him to slip past.
Kai entered with a heart-melting grin, pleased in himself at getting you to back down. He always loved to get you mad, something he took pride in himself for. However, he always neglected the fact he thought it was cute when he saw the crease between your eyebrows.
“If you touch and, or, break something, I swear I will break every bone in your body and feed them to the wolves in Mystic Falls.” Kai laughed at your threat, his head falling back and eyes closing. You admired the view for a second before snapping yourself out of it, turning away from Kai and heading to your kitchen.
Kai saw how you looked at him, and his lungs suddenly lost all the air in them, and he felt unable to breathe. But he pushed the feeling away, following you into the kitchen, and grabbing a grape from your coffee table on the way there. “There are no wolves in Mystic Falls. Y/N.” he said, popping the green grape into his mouth before chewing on the luscious fruit.
“Then I’ll just have to call Damon, and give him the pleasure of doing it himself.” you suggested, but you and Kai both knew that you’d never do that to him.
As if reading your mind, Kai shook his head with a chuckle and grabbed your hand to lead you to the living room. “We both know that’ll never happen, Y/N.” his voice and the heat radiating on your intertwined hands caused an involuntary shiver to run down your spine. Kai felt it and smirked at the affect he had on you, then made you sit down on your couch. He smiled down at you, giving you his most charming look as he caressed your cheek slowly.
“Sit.” You ordered, pushing his hand away from your now burning face. Kai obliged, now sitting thigh to thigh with you on the couch. “Why are you here, Kai?” you asked, and Kai’s jaw locked immediately. You tensed at the well known habit.
You and Kai had a different relationship than most of the relationships Kai had. Kai never cared about anyone before. However, when you entered his life, he knew that you were his weakness and his strength. His only weakness. So whenever Kai needed somebody, you were the person he always went to. As for you, Kai always held a special place in your heart. You took him under your wing after you found out he was a sociopath, and soon after, you fell in love with him. So, whatever Kai was planning, you knew you could get him to tell you sooner or later. Getting it out of him sooner rather than later was your plan, in this case.
“Kai, please. Don’t do anything that would get you and other people killed.” You begged, but Kai looked away, a sign that he wasn’t going to listen to you. But you weren’t giving up that easily. You sighed before grabbing Kai’s hands in yours and placing them on your lap, which caused him to look back to you with pleading eyes.
“Y/N, you know I can’t do that.”
“Why not, Kai? Remember when we first met?” You brought the memory back to the surface and Kai shaked his head at you.
“That was different-”
“How so, Kai?” You cut him off, sitting straighter in your seat and sending a squeeze to his hands. He was now rapidly shaking his head, but refusing to look at you. “You were going to kill me, Kai. You were! You had the knife against my throat, ready to watch my blood pour from my body, but you stopped. You stopped yourself from hurting me, and if you can do that, then you can-”
“THAT WAS DIFFERENT, Y/N, AND YOU KNOW THAT!” Kai finally snapped, ripping his hands from yours and abruptly standing up from the seat he was in. You flinched, ready for the Kai that everyone - besides you - knew well, but he never came. Instead, Kai tried to calm himself, thinking about your smile and the stories you constantly told him about when you were a kid. And slowly, his rapid heartbeat slowed down to a pace he was recently familiar with. The pace he always got around you.
“Kai…” there was a begging tone in your voice, and Kai snapped his head toward you, hating that tone. But instead of acting upon that hatred, he just stood there, admiring the shape of your lips and repeating your soothing voice in his head. And Kai closed his eyes, imagining the feeling of your lips on his, and he panicked again. These feelings were new to him, so he wasn’t sure how to act upon them, but hearing your voice soothed him all the less.
“Kai, what are you thinking about?” Slowly, you had stood up from your seat, not wanting to alarm the boy standing in front of you, and tiptoed over to him. Silently, you placed your hand on his cheek, soothing the tense muscles there as Kai felt your touch on his skin. Then, unexpectedly, his eyes snapped open, and you saw a softness in them that you never noticed before. Gasping at the sight, you removed your hand from his cheek, but didn’t move another bone in your body.
But Kai moved. The shaking hand that stood next to his thigh just a second ago was suddenly in your hair, and you felt him move your head towards his until your lips connected. The gasp that escaped your mouth was breathless, and you soon found yourself kissing him back. His lips were soft against yours, almost angelic. You soon felt his tongue drag against your bottom lip, and you allowed him to trace every inch of your mouth. The feeling made you sigh, and you were soon threading your fingers through his hair, lightly scratching at his scalp to get a reaction out of him.
And that’s exactly what you got. The grip he had in your hair tightened only slightly, and a groan vibrated from deep within his throat as he felt your nails scrape against his scalp, silently loving the feeling. Then you both pulled away from lack of oxygen, and it felt like the whole world just stopped. It was just you and Kai, staring into each others eyes as both of you try to process what just happened.
“It was different with you, Y/N. It’s always been different with you.” Kai whispered, slowly thumbing your cheek as you squeezed his biceps, still trying to process all of this.
“I thought you wereincapable of love.” Kai chuckled lowly at this, still remaining close to you as he brought the hand that was rubbing your cheek down to your shoulder.
“So did I,” he squeezed your shoulder, starting to massage it. “but like I said, it’s always been different with you.”
I’ve been feeling really discouraged and lonely in my fanfic writing lately. While it may be true that I’m writing primarily for self-expression, I would also really like to write in community and have more feedback. I feel like I only get a tiny bit of that here and in the few scattered reviews I get on AO3 and FFN. I didn’t get much feedback at all on my last chapter and it was a bit demoralizing — I don’t know if it’s because my writing sucks, or if people dislike my take on things, or if it’s just a matter of people simply not having read it yet.
I’d also really like to discover more fanfic and encourage other writers however I can.
All that to say, does anyone know of any good online communities that involve sharing fic (particularly about Han x Leia)? I seem to remember stumbling across a Han x Leia writers blog at some point but I can’t remember the name. @graciecatfamilyband I might have stumbled upon it through one of your posts?
Anyway I just thought I’d throw this question out to the wind and see if it catches. If anyone has any pointers for this relatively new fic writer, it would be very much appreciated!
Okay, this is the spell that I used to take care of all the nastiness at my workplace. It was designed as a spell to cleanse and ward a place that you can’t physically go cleanse and ward, though it will work just as well to protect your own home! It’s a very adaptable spell, and feel free to tweak it to fit your needs. This particular spell will require lots of grounding, energy work, and visualization.
What you need:
dried sage (or cleansing herb of choice)
pins, needles, nails, or something else pointy and thorn like
crystals associated with cleansing and protection (I used my big ‘ole block of calcite, quartz, and aventurine)
incense associated with cleansing and purifying (I used lavender and lemon)
fire safe bowl
some sort of paper material from the place you are cleansing and warding (NOTE: if this is not possible to obtain, you’ll also need a sheet of paper. my item was a paper shopping bag, which will make sense in the instructions)
optional: tarot card of your choice. I used The High Priestess.
What to do
Gather all of your materials and set up everything within reach. Light incense, candles, etc., and do some major grounding.
Invoke any deities, familiars, or spirits if your wish, and ask all materials to assist in the fruition of your spell. Draw energy from them now, and throughout the spell.
In your firesafe bowl, add the salt and dried sage. Light the sage, and while it’s smoking, take your paper and tear it in half.
On the first half, write down your intent of cleansing and banishing all negative energies and entities. Also write down the address of the place, or anything else that further ties the object to the place. Light that baby on fire and toss it in your firesafe bowl while visualizing the negativity fleeing the building.
Once everything has burned all the way down, add the black pepper and pins to your bowl.
On the remaining part of the paper, draw a box and label it with the name of the place you are now warding. Draw a second box around it, and in the space between the two write your intention that nothing but positive and neutral energy shall pass through your wards. This is where some heavy visualization comes in. Bring the place up in your mind, and visualize your wards being put in place around the building. Put as much energy as you can into this. Draw from your materials, your deities, and the earth itself. Once you feel you have put enough energy into your wards, light the drawing on fire and toss it into the bowl.
Once everything has stopped burning, allow the ashes to blow away or dispose of them along with everything else in your bowl. It was a windy day for me so I let the ashes of the paper bag be carried away in the wind, and dumped everything else in the trash.
Reground, recharge, and relax!
If you have any questions or need and clarification or advice, feel free to ask!
Rika hated to see suffering because she felt so powerless to change destiny for what they were, but (Name) chose to accept suffering and was able to look beyond her pain to bring forth happiness. V had been so stubborn to cling onto Rika despite her distorted obsessions to end suffering that he ended up hurting everyone in the process. Truly, he was not one to deserve any forgiveness from the people he cherished and thought fondly of.
Warning: There is character death and several heavy plot spoilers from Seven’s secret routes so be warned!

February Writing/Art Challenge: #13 - Unrequited Love
So @radchita tagged me in this post like 3 weeks ago and I haven’t been able to work on it much until now. It’s not finished but I felt anxious so I posted part one. I don’t really know how many parts there will be but there won’t be many and I’ll try and get them out as fast as possible.
Anyways, this is my first fanfic that I’ve actually posted anywhere, so I would appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism on how to improve my writing. :)

Natsu had seen pretty girls before.
I mean, it was kind of hard to miss the over-sized lingerie
advertisements on the side of the road, although those meant nothing. Nothing
compared to her.
She was beautiful.
Her silky blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders and fell
just above her waistline, bouncing behind her back as her body shook from
laughter. The heart shape of her face matched perfectly with the curve of her
jaw. Her smile stretched over her cheeks and met her eyes, causing them to
crinkle cutely at the corners. They were casted downwards to a petite girl with
blue hair, Natsu recognized her as Levy, but her barely paid the smaller girl
any attention. All of his focus was on the woman beside her.
His green eyes stopped her brown ones, and they stayed
there. Natsu could only stare.
A blush coated the pink-haired boy’s cheeks. He tried to
look away, but it was as if she had caught his eyes in her gravitational pull. Suddenly,
her eyes met his, as if she knew he was there, and the girl sent a little wave
with her hand his way. He made no move to reply with his own. He just kept
Her smile fell, causing Natsu to snap out of his reverie and
realize that he had probably started to creep her out. He tore his gaze away,
while his cheeks darkened in colour and his hand managed to give a response.
He didn’t look back to see if she had saw.
‘What a way to make a
first impression, stare her down until she feels uncomfortable” Natsu
chastised himself. She probably thought of him as a strange pervert now. He
didn’t want that.
“Way to go Flame Brain, you totally freaked her out.” A deep
voice came from behind him. It was Gray. That bastard always had something to
“Shut up ya damned pervert. Go find a shirt, no one wants
too see that.” The black haired teen looked down in surprise as his upper torso
was suddenly exposed to the air. Though that didn’t stop him from saying one
more thing to Natsu.
“Ha! How am I the pervert in this situation exactly? You
were practically drooling.” With that, Gray had started to leave, only to be
stopped by Natsu’s words.
“At least I’m not secretly
drooling over the girl who openly loves me ‘cuz I’m a damned coward and is too big-headed
“What did ya say?!”
“You have ears Ice Freak, I’m sure I don’t have to repeat
“You little- “Gray didn’t finish his sentence, and let his
fist communicate instead. He swung his arm towards the shorter boy’s face, only
to be stopped by the palm of his hand.
Natsu was quick to retaliate, as he quickly swung his arm
back so he could gain some force in his punch. Although, his arm had already
