feed your ears

I'm using Roccat Kave 5.1 headphones. Unlike the "virtual 7.1" headphones, these have a set of three speakers in each can and use them to drive 5.1 speakers worth of sound. "Virtual" headphones use simulation to work out how things would sound if they were being generated in 7.1 audio and feed that to your ears. Honestly though, once you're spending about $70 on a pair of headphones the main thing to do is to take care of them and their wiring/soldering. That's their point of failure.

Definitely. Makes me consider investing in a wireless set, but never had one like that so, I’m unsure.

Imagine catching Cas singing a lullaby to your baby to get her to stop crying.

Cas’ soft voice woke you up from your light sleep. You had been trying to catch a few z’s before your daughter woke you up for her next feeding time. Your ears perked up as you heard her softly cooing, followed by more of Cas singing.

You recognized a soft lullaby and got out of bed, walking over to her nursery. Sure enough, there was Cas gently rocking her and smiling thankfully at her as she seemed to have quieted down. He leaned his head down and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“Don’t want to wake mommy up yet, princess,” he whispered.

You smiled and quietly tiptoed away from the room and back to yours, knowing your baby was okay in her father’s arms.

I was trying to think of a way to show my appreciation for the crazy amazing amount of messages, comments, kudos, and support you guys give me, so I figured doodling Claudia with a big bowl of her famous macaroni and cheese (with sausage) was a good way to go… SO HERE, HAVE A CLAUDIA! There isn’t a day I don’t think about how lucky I am to have so much feedback on Home and now Raising Home, so THANK YOU for being there for me!! :)

the20goto10: 10 Start Program (Demo)

This week’s installment of the Sunday Night Music Club features a demo from a band called the20goto10 that was released on our 2002 compilation called Feed Your Ears Vol. 1. The song is a demo for an album that was supposed to be released in the fall of that year but never actually came out.

the20goto10 was a short-lived project started by Rory Phillips after the break up of The Impossibles in 2002. This song is their only official release though several other demos exist. Later versions of those songs can be found on The Artificial Heart’s 2000 - 2005 Mixtape  songs that “bridge the gap between The Stereo, The Impossibles and The Artificial Heart” according to Rory.
