I'm using Roccat Kave 5.1 headphones. Unlike the "virtual 7.1" headphones, these have a set of three speakers in each can and use them to drive 5.1 speakers worth of sound. "Virtual" headphones use simulation to work out how things would sound if they were being generated in 7.1 audio and feed that to your ears. Honestly though, once you're spending about $70 on a pair of headphones the main thing to do is to take care of them and their wiring/soldering. That's their point of failure.
Definitely. Makes me consider investing in a wireless set, but never had one like that so, I’m unsure.
