Hi! I’m Cecil and I identify as a nonbinary transman (I’m also pan). I’m fluent in Dutch and English.
I enjoy playing video games, writing and reading. I also like listening
to podcasts (my favourite is The Penumbra), listening to music (anything
from rock to jazz) and watching movies or series. My favourite genres
are horror, sci-fi and Film Noir (or Neo-noir), and if something’s gay,
you can bet I’m interested.
I’m also really interested in anthropology, history and the English language.
Preferences: - Between 13 and 17 years old
- Not anti-LGBTQ+ or anti-feminism
So excited to show ‘Pumzi’ (Wanuri Kahiu, 2009) to my students tomorrow. One of my favourite sci-fi films, genius Afrofuturism, and an amazing example of what you can do with a short. Bring on the feature already!
My 50 favourite sci-fi films (in no particular order)
16/50 - Cloud Atlas (2012)
“To be is to be perceived. And so to know thyself is only possible through the eyes of the other. The nature of our immortal lives is in the consequences of our words and deeds that go on apportioning themselves throughout all time.”
Hello! I’m Sophie. I’m 28, British, and gayer than a sparkly rainbow unicorn. Oh and as you might have guessed from my username and that statement, I really like unicorns, like, a lot. My hair is currently red, orange and yellow, but it doesn’t usually stay the same colour for long.
Yes, that is me that time I attempted to re-create my fave Regina pics. I may or may not have done the whole photoshoot…
I studied Spanish and Italian at university, but now I just work as an admin assistant part time because I still can’t work out what I want to do when I grow up.
I LOVE travelling. I’ve been to 29 countries (I think). Some highlights of my travels include the year I spent in South America and that time I got the train all the way home to England from China. That was fun.
I also love music. I have very eclectic tastes. I go to gigs as often as I can. There’s a music festival in Budapest called Sziget which I’ve been to a few times and love. (Especially because it gives me an excuse to hang out with caitlyn216)
I’m a big geek. I love books, TV, movies, and gaming. I mostly love fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes, kids films and musicals. My favourite author is Brandon Sanderson and I am attempting to read my way through everything he’s ever written. He’s pretty prolific, it’s taking a while.
I would really really love to make more Swen friends, so please drop me a line if you want to chat, I would love that! :)
2) I love Swan Queen
The moment I started shipping them involved a chainsaw and an apple tree and Regina ‘lusty face’ Mills… jfc
I love every phase of their relationship. Season 1 “we-hate-each-other-but-we’re-totally-fucking”, season 2 starting to understand each other, season 3 starting to work together and season 4 DOING EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO PROTECT YOU.
I feel like I don’t need to say too much in this section because we all love Swan Queen.
3) I love Swen
OMG Swen you guys are crazy talented! The manips, people THE MANIPS!!! That gif where Jen kisses Lana on the cheek on the red carpet at like comiccon or something, you know the one I mean? It took my like a year to realise that was a manip! It felt like I’d just found out Santa wasn’t real! And tbh I still question whether it is or it isn’t real every time I see it… DAMN.
AND THE FICS! OMG THE FEEEEEELS! The first SQ fic I ever read was The Secret’s in the Telling… What a way to start, eh?
