Damian and Jason had terrible childhoods

Dick and Tim had great childhoods before they started off as Robins. They both had loving parents at an early age, childhood friends, favorite dishes or TV shows…

Jason and Damian never had any of this. Sometimes, Damian catches Dick singing random, unknown songs, the songs that his mother sang to him before bedtime. Talia never sang to Damian. He didn’t had any friends growing up with whom he could play games, like Dick did with his friends at the circus.

Jason often goes to the kitchen and finds Tim eating some very weird comfort food, something his father would make him whenever he got sick. Jason’s parents never cooked anything for him, specially comfort food.
He didn’t even have a TV when he was little, so he didn’t knew any of the children shows Tim would nostalgically remember with Steph.

Alfred suspects that’s why Bruce’s relationship with Dick and Tim is usually easier than with Jason or Damian. While the first two see their lives with Bruce as new and different from their old ones, Jason and Damian see it as new and better. Bruce is not emotionally capable of handling this kind of responsibility, and freaks out sometimes.

Bonding is hard.

Last night’s new episode of SpongeBob Squarepants was “Food Con Castaways.” (½)

It’s possible that I’ve said this numerous times before but this was one of my favorite episodes to work on! So much opportunity for acting and such a fun story.

Although what was particularly special to me about this episode was that our supervising executives (Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller) were kind enough to allow me to play a quick little Bill & Ted-esque air guitar riff. I know I shouldn’t brag about something that’s only 2 seconds long but it’s a dream come true for me to have something I played broadcasted on my favorite childhood TV show alongside my own drawings!…I am eternally grateful for that opportunity.

Cosette’s favorite childhood television show was Kim Possible. Her biggest dream was becoming a cheerleader who fought crime. She took gymnastics lessons and used those lessons to take down Monsieur and Madame Thenardier and Patron-Minette (with whom she had a friendly rivalry). But she had no friend, no Ron, and was very lonely.

Then, she met Marius.

“ Rewatching Teen Titans now as an adult as more meaning to me than when I watched it was a child. As a child, the messages in the episodes usually went over my head. Now I’m taking something away from them. I have much more respect for my favorite childhood TV show.”

“This week pick your favorite childhood TV show or movie and pick a screenshot and recreate it exactly but in your own individual style!”

It’s so hard to pick a nice screenshot. I have so many shows that I love(d), but I guess RK is kinda special since the old series made a huge influence on how I draw now. Plus, some scenes in the show are sweet eye candy, so there.
