I was tagged by @tomfionncarney to do this, thank you so much!<3 I got ridiculously emotional when I’m tagged in things because it makes me so happy!!
Age: 21 (for less than 24 more hours)
Birthday: October 17 (It’s tomorrow, oh my god I can’t believe it)
Favorite genre of music: Alternative rock.
Favorite music artist: I’m not sure if I have one, honestly?
Favorite bands: Panic! At The Disco and Paramore. I actually listen to musicals and Disney music the most though.
Favorite film: I mean, obviously Dunkirk. But my two other favorite movies are Psycho and Moulin Rouge.
Favorite 1D song and solo song: Um…wow, this is difficult. I can’t actually pick just one 1D song. I think my top three are ‘Through the Dark’, ‘They Don’t Know About Us’, and ‘Moments’. As for solo stuff, I’m not positive yet.
Reasons you love your favorite icons: I have so many reasons??? I also just have so many fandoms that it would take me absolutely ages to go through everyone. But just for Dunkirk, the cast just makes me so incredibly happy that I can’t possibly explain how much they mean to me.
What you love about this community: Okay, sappy time. This is genuinely one of the most loving and accepting fandoms I’ve ever been a part of and I adore it so much. I get inexplicably happy just seeing people’s names pop up on my phone even if I’ve never talked to them before. Everyone is just so incredibly lovely and I don’t think I could’ve found a better group of people to be associated with<3
What I really mean: Imagine Dragons is an American band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Imagine Dragons’ lineup consists of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman. The band gained exposure following the release of their debut studio album, Night Visions (2012) and first single “It’s Time”. According to Billboard, Imagine Dragons topped the year-end rock rankings for 2013; Billboard named them “The Breakthrough Band of 2013”, and Rolling Stone named their single “Radioactive” “the biggest rock hit of the year”. MTV called them “the year’s biggest breakout band”. Night Visions peaked at number two on the weekly Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart. The band’s second studio album Smoke + Mirrors reached number one on the Billboard 200, Canadian Albums Chart, and UK Albums Chart. Imagine Dragons won two American Music Awards for Favorite Alternative Artist, a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance, five Billboard Music Awards, and a World Music Award. In May 2014, the band was nominated for a total of fourteen different Billboard Music Awards, including Top Artist of the Year and a Milestone Award, recognizing innovation and creativity of different artists across different genres.

Ya know, I’ve had this blog for about a year and a half and I now have over 34,800 followers which is pretty awesome!
(Fun Fact: I didn’t have any followers at all for like the first 10 months that I had this blog)
Anyway, in all that time, I realized that I’ve never really formally introduced myself.
Full disclosure, I’m really introverted (for those familiar with the Myers-Briggs 16 personalities, I’m an INTJ). I’m not that great at connecting with people so when I first started this blog I thought I’d just post stuff and reveal anything about myself at all
But as I’ve gotten more and more followers and more and more people telling me how much they enjoy this blog, I decided that I wanted to try to be more open and interactive
Now I still totally suck at it. And for people that have been following me long enough, you might know this about me:
I have a tendency to come off as rude and standoff-ish. My lack of social skills that I don’t always know how my words will affect others. Also, I tend to be very sarcastic and sometimes sarcasm doesn’t come across in writing
I guess my point is: I’m basically using this blog to kind of work on my people skills.
Note: I’m not a huge “sharer” and I’m definitely not a touchy-feely kind of person, so if you don’t like hearing about my personal life, don’t worry, you won’t have to suffer through it often.
…ugh I also ramble…a lot
So let’s just get on with this shall we (before I get completely off topic)
I thought I’d introduce myself a little, share some fun facts about myself and then we’ll get back to your regularly scheduled programming.
MY NAME IS Rebekah. I’m a girl. I was born on March 3, 1997 (so I’m currently 19 years old). I’m American and I’ve lived in Kansas my whole life (I live in the suburbs of Kansas City).
I like cats. A lot. Like for real, I have sweaters with cats on them. My favorite animal is a tiger. They’re so fierce and majestic (and a cat).
Both of my parents are religious and raised me to be Southern Baptist but I’m an atheist. Although, because of my religious upbringing and like all of my family being religious I know how important religion is for some people so I have nothing against people that practice it.
I’m bisexual. Hey look at that, I said it out loud. (Don’t tell my parents though, I’ve already disappointed them enough)
Believe it or not I’m actually into other things besides science fiction and fantasy. I love musical theatre. Sondheim is my favorite composer. My favorite musicals are Sweeney Todd and Rent. I’m more into like rock musicals than classical musicals. I also did community theatre when I was younger but I’d like to start doing it again.
I have a pretty wide variety of other interests. I just like learning things.
My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw.
I consider myself an open-minded person. I try not to form an opinion on something until I’ve heard both sides of the issue.
2016 is the first time I’ll get to vote and to be honest, I’m really not that excited about it.
I’m a “haha” person. (As opposed to an “lol” person)
Uh…what else? I have three older siblings (two brothers and one sister). My oldest brother is 10 ½ years older than me and just turned 30 like a month ago which is so weird to think about.
Um…I have a rare genetic eye condition that’s basically macular degeneration. I have to see two different eye doctors every year. I actually just got back from the special eye doctor who told me that my vision is 20/150 (which I assume is really bad seeing as how “perfect” vision is 20/10). I have glasses but they only help so much. I’m completely blind in the dark.
I got bullied a lot in school. Mainly because of my social awkwardness and then later because of my eyesight.
I had depression since I was 9 and I was suicidal for a long time. I’ve overcome it (more or less) but that depression caused a bunch of other issues (namely my deep-seeded trust issues that I may never overcome)
Uh…happy thoughts…I write fan fiction. I post all my stuff on AO3 (Archive of Our Own).
I’m an realistic optimist (it’s a super weird combo I know)
I love love LOVE music. Well, I like music that has actual substance. I mostly like alternative rock. My favorite artists are Set It Off, Arctic Monkeys, Eisley, Florence and the Machine, and Lenka. (I like other artists but those are my favorites). I also love classic rock.
I’m really tall (apparently). 5'8 ½ which is 4 ½ inches taller than the average.
I’m a total wimp. I’m afraid of like everything. Thunderstorms, the dark, fucking clowns…
I also swear like a sailor…
That might be it. I know some of you like to message me and have conversations and stuff…that’s totally fine but like…you gotta be able to maintain a conversation. I don’t like one word responses (does anyone though)
I’m also a stickler for grammar and spelling.
Uh…above all else, I guess my deal is respect. You have to earn my respect. I don’t just give it out freely. I don’t respect people who don’t respect me. If you respect me then we can be friends and I’ll treat you with the same respect in return…if not, then get the hell out of my life.
If you have any questions, I have an ask box and a private message box that are open 24/7.
Stay classy, guys and gals and non-binary pals
(P.S. I am NOT proof-reading this so just deal with it)
