Kerry Washington WINS Best International Actress At 2015 Glamour UK Women Of The Year Awards
Congratulations are in order for one of our fave chicks. Kerry Washington took home the Best International Actress award at the 2015 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London today.
The gorgeous Kerry Washington jetted overseas to attend this year’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Berkeley Square Gardens in London today.
Dubbed as one of London’s biggest nights in fashion, the “Scandal” star did not disappoint. The fab mother-of-one sparkled in a printed high-slit skirt and black strapless crop top by David Koma. She finished her look with black pointed-toe Christian Louboutins, Effy Jewelry earrings, an EF Collection bracelet and her hair in a loose, wavy mid-length bob. Gorge!
The 38-year-old actress had plenty to celebrate during the event. Following a stellar run on the hit ABC series, the Glamour Magazine covergirl was awarded the Best International Actress Award. And it was presented to her by French footwear designer Christian Louboutin. Well deserved. Congrats Kerry!
Kerry posed it up with “Game of Thrones” actress Maisie Williams, “Britain’s Got Talent” singer Alesha Dixon and girl group Little Mix. Fab times.
Kerry Washington stuns in strapless top and embellished split skirt at Glamour Awards… as she takes to stage to hail ‘modern feminism’
She took to the stage to hail 'modern feminism’ after being awarded one of the night’s major prizes. But Kerry Washington proved you can be strong and stunning as she wowed on the red carpet at the Glamour Women Of The Year awards on Tuesday. After jetting into London from LA, the Scandal star brought some Hollywood glamour to the event.
The 38-year-old was there to collect her gong for International Actress and certainly looked the part in a stunning ensemble. She showed off her slim figure in a strapless black top mixed with a embellished long black skirt with a split.
Taking to the stage to be presented the award by shoe designer to the stars Christian Louboutin, she told the star-studded crowd: 'Christian Louboutin just called me a bitch - that’s awesome! 'Modern glamorous feminism is about being in a fabulous red soled shoe and being on a pedestal and having a voice and being a three dimensional person.
'A part of me will always be a little girl in New York City riding the subway to the Bronx and I’m so lucky to be in this show. 'This is the golden age of television and it’s great to be a woman. I only have a job because you guys watch me!’ Although she’s cemented herself as small screen royalty thanks to her role as former White House communications boss Olivia Pope, the actress was more than thrilled to bump into another TV starlet; Game of Thrones favourite Maisie Williams. The pair grabbed a selfie together at the bash at Berkeley Square Gardens, with Kerry pulling an excited face and pointing to the teen in the snap.
That autism feel when one of your special interests is Marshmallow Peeps (sugar-covered marshmallows in different shapes)(my fave shape is the chick), so the newest Splatoon Splatfest in North America, Marshmallows vs Hot Dogs, gives you an opportunity to make in-game drawings of marshmallow peeps that you can find as graffiti in the game! :D
um, kerry washington was on real time with bill maher’s panel last night, and she shut these other panelists down. repeatedly. i’m getting all kinds of claire huxtable on that sunday morning public access channel talk show panel feels. she is not here for your close-minded viewpoints, sirs.
slighty in shock over amber being featured in the intro to the SAGs.
the “i’m an actor” mini-monologues are my fave part of the whole show so of course i was watching with rapt attention, and then up she pops! not prepared at all. YAY AMBER! (and how adorbs were the loud applause from the table after she was done? monumentally adorbs. i love this cast.)
