It’s been over a year since we first discovered the camp culinary creations of French designers Thomas Weil and Quentin Weisbuch for their Fat and Furious Burger project (previously featured here). We’re delighted to see that their mouthwatering project is still going strong.

This wonderful food-oriented madness first began when Thomas and Quentin met while working at the same design firm in Paris and decided to team up to make their boring lunches more interesting.

“The culinary challenge? Burgers. The rules? None, except they had to be edible. Because lunch break is only so long, Weil and Weisbuch gave themselves 90 minutes to come up with an idea, run to the store, and cook the burger. Using their office kitchen, the men began experimenting. Things quickly spiraled out of control.”

Today the creative duo is still creating all sorts of outrageous burgers, from the Neil Armstrong moon burger to “The Burgirl” (complete with blonde wig and lipstick, sometimes spending as much as 50 Euros ($61) on a single meal. They’ve also published a Fat & Furious Burger cookbook [Buy on Amazon].

If you aren’t already following along, Thomas and Quention post their burgers along with a title and ingredients list, explaining the inspiration for each meal, here on Tumblr at fatandfuriousburger and on Instagram.
