I just found this person on the internet and I can literally feel the life rushing back into me. I found their tumblr and it looks like they posted a new outfit today, however, all the other fashion post were from like a year ago… so I am not sure how active they are.

Despite that, they have already posted like A BILLION outfits, so even if they are not active, I still recommend following this blog and having a look at their archive… I am seriously impressed. I don’t know how or why no one has noticed this amazing fashionista here, you know, just quietly posting amazing outfits on tumblr!!!!

My new muse, honestly.
I am going to see if I can get in contact with them and bring them onto House of Alexzander as a fashion contributor!
Funny thing is, their blog is Called House Of Jeory. Hmm…

The Only 3 Sandal Styles You Need for Summer

With summer fast approaching, stores are teeming with overwhelming selections of sandals! With so many to choose from, we offer these three must-have styles to keep in mind while shopping around. Of course, you can grab other styles, but these three should cover most, if not all, of your wardrobe needs!

Tan, Flat Sandals

MICHAEL Michael Kors Sondra Logo Sandal | ModCloth Waterside Warbling Sandal | Steve Madden Comma Leather Sandal

It’s essential to always keep a pair of flat sandals around—even if you’re more of a heels girl. They’re especially important for walking purposes if you’re planning to indulge in a lot of touristy activities over the summer. A tan pair matches with everything, making for easy packing and easy dressing. Wear with items that hit at the knee or higher—skater skirts, sundresses, and rompers—to keep your legs looking elongated.

Statement Platforms

Topshop Wallis Flatform Sandals | Prada Patent Crisscross Cork Flatform Sandal | Topshop Looker Cork Platform Sandals

Sometimes we need a little added boost in height, but nobody wants to struggle to walk around when the temperatures soar. To keep things comfortable, look for something with a chunky heel or a flatform. Not only do they add height, they also make a statement. These will go especially well with midi- and maxi-length skirts, as well as ankle-skimming trousers and boyfriend jeans.

Minimalist Heels

Charlotte Russe ID Tag Sueded Single Sole Heel | Forever 21 Classic Stiletto Sandals | Rihanna for River Island Velvet Ankle Strap Stilettos

Keep a classic “naked” heel on hand in black or nude. It matches everything and can either dress up or dress down whatever you already have in your wardrobe. They also make it easy to feminize more masculine pieces such as boyfriend jeans and short suits. If you find it difficult to walk in stilettos, look for a thicker heel with a bit of a platform in front. Want something that stands out a bit more? Keep an eye out for metallic hardware detailing!

Crash Course on the Holographic & Iridescent Trend

Walk into any Forever21, Urban Outfitters, or Steve Madden right now, and you’re sure to see unusually shiny, reflective items pushing into your peripheral vision. Holographic iridescent fabrics have walked down numerous runways since late 2013 and early 2014, and yet, the web is somehow completely lacking in tips on how to actually wear them. Not to worry. Grab a pen, notebook, and your debit card because you are about to learn the ABC’s of this psychedelic trend.

Start Out Small

Details count, so if you’re ready to move beyond painting your nails with iridescent nail polish, accessorize away. Try carrying a holographic bag with a black-and-white monochrome outfit, or pop on an iridescent necklace with a black blouse. If you’re still wary, limit the reflective surfaces to sunglasses, which can be paired with anything regardless of your clothing colors or patterns.

Let the Shoes Take Center Stage

Feeling lazy? Shoes can elevate your outfit on days when all you want to do is lounge around in sweatpants and a collegiate sweater. Here’s an effortlessly cool look that works for both guys and girls: swap out those sweats for a pair of black pants, leave the sweater on and throw on a black leather jacket or oversized denim jacket, and finish off with some highly metallic boots or sneakers. If it’s warmer out, opt for a white t-shirt (ladies, go for one a bit oversized) instead of the sweatshirt. Let your shoes do the talking, and keep the rest of the outfit as simple and basic as possible by avoiding too many patterns or loud colors.

Look for Casual Silhouettes

People usually associate shiny things with the night, but there really isn’t a rule against wearing light-reflecting items during the day. It’s all about the silhouette. Go for a casual t-shirt cut or sweaters with holographic detailing to avoid looking too formal or like you’re about to head into a club. Look for an A-line skirt and tuck in a plain t-shirt or top off with a graphic black-and-white crop top to dress it down. Finish everything off with black booties (if you want a heel on it, opt for something chunkier instead of a stiletto). The foolproof way to toning down the flashiness for anything is by sticking to neutrals for everything else—white, black, black-and-white, grays, and beige.

Go All In

Here’s the thing about having an entirely holographic outfit: it’s super easy if you just wear a dress. Does that mean guys have to stick to the guidelines we’ve listed above? Of course not. Pair a holographic sweater with iridescent shoes if you’re feeling brave—just make sure the colors don’t clash! But beware of overdoing it because less is definitely more when it comes to this trend. However, girls can have a bit more fun with the trend on nights out by pairing a fitted holographic dress with a blazer and black or nude pumps. Forego necklaces, flashy earrings, and too many bracelets with this look. You want all the attention on the dress.

7 Ways to Style Your Blue Denim Jacket

The blue jean jacket is one of those timeless pieces that never go out of style regardless of the season, decade, or changing trends. Whether you’re looking for new inspiration to freshen up your denim jacket look or simply have no idea how to style the item, here are 7 go-to outlines your wardrobe can adapt.

1. Back to Basics

When in doubt, stick with khakis on the bottom to keep things simple and easy. Because your bottoms are a neutral, you can wear any top you want regardless of its pattern, color, or cut. Try to stay away from any blue that’s too close to the wash of your jacket though.

2. Colored Corduroys

If you feel like khakis are too boring, throw on colored corduroys in any color you like instead. Make sure your top is mostly a neutral color in the black or white family, so it won’t clash with the pants!

3. Denim on Denim

Blue denim on blue denim has some bad rep—often for some very good reasons, such as the cringe-worthy memory of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears swathed in matching outfits composed entirely of denim. The trick to styling this is to make sure the shade of the jacket and jeans are pretty much on opposite ends of the spectrum—light wash with dark wash only. If you’re still wary of the look, stick to black jeans instead.

4. Sweaters, Sweater, Sweaters

If you have a jacket that’s a bit more oversized, stick a sweater underneath to beat the chill on colder days. It’s also a great way to transition into fall. Make sure you continue following the previous guidelines on pants and color!

5. Chilling in the Hood

Of course, in the spring it can get much too warm for a full sweater, so you can opt to layer a hoodie—any solid color of your choice—underneath instead. Not only does this allow you to adjust easily to temperatures throughout the day, but it also looks super relaxed and laid back.

6. Badass Biker

For the grungier gentlemen out there, blue denim jackets are still worth investing in. They’re great for adding dimension and an unobtrusive amount of color into an otherwise monochrome, dark outfit.

7. Dressing Down

Though it seems like it would clash, subbing in a denim jacket for a blazer on a more casual three-piece suit can actually work! Stick to neutral colors—think shades of tan and grey—for the slacks and waistcoat to complement the blue denim and avoid looking like a walking contradiction of informal and formal. This pairing looks smart, and unless you’re attending a black-tie event, you should have no trouble fitting in anywhere, regardless of the dress code.

Are you convinced yet that a blue denim jacket can only better your life? Take Wantering for a spin, and choose from a wide selection of washes and fits for your own classic jacket!
