Third Person’s POV

She had to tell him.

She had already ended her relationship with Abel once she realized she was pregnant and it wasn’t for him.

How could she have been so dumb?

It wasn’t even meant to go that far but they were both so caught up in the moment…

She didn’t even think about it until she was throwing up daily and putting on weight and then suddenly the dots connected.

She hadn’t gone that far with Abel so she knew whose it was.

What would he even say?

Yes they had planned to have children together but that was when they were a couple.

A happy couple.

Now they barely even spoke.

Would he even want the child?

Or would he just send her maintenance money?

She shook her head at the thought.

This was Justin she was talking about. He would never do that.

He loved children and he would love his child.

He would want to be a part of the baby’s life. That much was true.

But would he want to be a part of her life?

Maybe she was being ridiculous.

Maybe the nerves were sending her crazy.

Maybe she was paranoid.

But for some reason, it didn’t cross her mind that he would be happy to start a family with her.

She took a deep breath and rang his doorbell.

“Selena?” He questioned, shocked that she was standing in front of him and crying. “Hey what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”

She quickly swiped away the tears on her cheek, not even realizing she had been crying.

“C-can we talk? Please?” She requested quietly.

“Yeah. Yeah of course, come on.” He opened the door wider, allowing her to walk in before he shut it behind them and led them to the living room.

He stood near the doorway, watching her pace up and down and feeling himself grow anxious.

“Maybe you should sit down for this.” She swallowed roughly and he did as she said, taking a seat on the arm of the couch closest to him.

“What’s going on Sel? You’re scaring me.”

“Do you,” She stopped, clearing her throat before she began again, “Do you remember what happened the last time we saw each other?”

He nodded, unsure of where she was going with this.

“We had sex right?” He cut her off harshly, not liking the way she was referring to something that was special between them both.

“We don’t have sex Selena. Ever. You know that. Anytime I’m with you, I make love to you.”

She smiled sadly. “Well this time, we made more than love.”

He blinked, the meaning of her words registering in his head. “Wait, what? Are you saying…”

She nodded once. “I’m pregnant Justin. And I’m sure it’s yours?”

“Holy shit.” He ran his hands through his hair as he processed everything.

She was pregnant. He was going to be a father.

The love of his life was carrying his baby.

A small smile touched his features before it faded.

“What about Abel?”

She shrugged. “I ended things with him once I found out.”

“I’m sorry.” He frowned knowing that she was happy with him.

“It’s okay. But um, what are we going to do?”

“What do you mean? You’re not thinking of abortion right?” His heart rate increased.

“What? No! Of course not!” He breathed a sigh of relief.

“I just mean, how are we going to do this? Be parents I mean.”

He smiled, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer to him before he wrapped his arms around her. She rested her cheek against his shoulder and he rested his against her head.

“We’re going to do it exactly the way we planned. We can get a house together again and we’ll be a couple. I’m not letting my baby grow up like I did. I always told you I wanted to have a stable home for them.”

She nodded, holding onto him tighter as she grinned.

“I’m going to take care of both of you and I’m going to marry you so by the time he or she is here, she’ll have a normal family.”

“You still want to marry me?” She asked slightly shocked but happy nonetheless.

“I always wanted to marry you. That never stopped.”

She pulled back slightly, tilting her head upwards just enough so she could capture in lips in her own.

They were going to be a family.

“Daddy’s going to find you!” Justin called as he walked through the house, pretending he couldn’t hear the giggles of his children as he walked past his closet.

“I wonder where my rugrats are?” He playfully thought aloud, hearing his wife shushing their kids.

“I guess they’re not here.” He sighed dramatically, pausing before he pulled open the door.

“Or maybe they are!” He exclaimed when he saw them crouched under his shirts.

They both gasped as Selena laughed, quickly running past him before he could grab them.

“You can’t catch us!” Jason squealed as he followed his older sister down the stairs. Justin waited a few seconds before he turned to follow them, picking up his pace when he heard Emory scream and Jason begin to cry.

“Aw buddy.” He cooed, picking up the three year old from his spot on the ground.

“He tripped and fell daddy.” Emory told him. “Is he okay?” She asked in a shaky voice.

“He’ll be fine baby.” Justin comforted once he had checked Jason over to make sure there were no serious injuries. “He just has a booboo on his head.”

Selena picked up her worried daughter, holding her tightly as Justin carried a still whimpering Jason to their bathroom.

“It’s okay buddy. Daddy’s here.” He kissed his son’s head as he sat him on the counter. “I’ll make it better okay?”

His son nodded, sticking his thumb into his mouth.

“Which band-aid do you want? We have Superman and Spiderman and Belle and who’s this Sel?” He turned to his wife when he couldn’t remember which character was the one on the box.

Before she could answer, Jason pointed at the Belle band-aid. “That one wooks wike mommy.”

Justin smiled at how adorable his baby boy was, placing the band-aid over the small red spot on his head, then placing a light kiss over it.

“There! All better!” He scooped him up into his arms, blowing raspberries onto his stomach, laughing as his son’s squeals filled the air.

“Mommy! Do me that!” He heard his princess demand and then the sound of her laughter joined.

This was what heaven felt like.

Like it? Hate it?

Oh my goodness time has just been so elusive lately! Here’s a little update and reminder to be grateful of every little precious moment 🙈⌛️🕰✨

• I celebrated Beltane (a day late) by planting edible flower seeds and the usual rituals
• I saw the cutest dog at work and an older man asked me for my opinion on his flower paintings (he had Polaroids in his shirt pocket)
• the rain has been very cleansing and it sounded so lovely these past few nights and all day yesterday, I even just laid in bed for awhile happily listening
• I found a little wooden tray at work and this really neat vintage silver hands clasping ring but my boss would only accept ten dollars which was half the price and already way undervalued
• I also finally had a day off (at home, with no where to be) so I had an extra long yoga sesh, caught up on journaling, washed some laundry and my bedding then rearranged my altar
• my mom called to tell me she already booked her next trip and will be here for my birthday this year so we might all do something special
• plus I was able to get the weekend off again so I’m up north with my sisters (and brother in law and little nephew)!! 💗💗💗
