A/N: Oh boy, I guess I’m really writing again haha. This is for @theassetseyeliner’s writing challenge for the prompt “You’re always sitting alone and you’re cute, so I came to sit next to you.” I got inspiration for this story from the anime series Ore Monogatari (My Love Story). I hope you guys enjoy it :)

This is it. You’re going to finally ask your crush out.

During the past semester, the both of you have grown close and your feelings for him blossomed from the first moment you met in your math class. Now, this is your chance to finally reveal your feelings, to finally take your relationship with him to the next level.

Running over to the student center, you walk up the stairs to the campus cafe to meet with him. As you enter the vicinity though, you see him and your best friend, Natasha talking near the entryway. The brunet doesn’t even notice you walking inside as he lets the next words fall from his lips.

Deciduous

Running fingers over bare hills
hoping to be covered in leafy trees
do I remember stories
only known by haylofts and
cotton pillows

It’s still afternoon
in the middle of thick and silent
no wind to whirl
nothing to move skyward

But they fall
one by one, dropping from the trees

The brown leaves
lay like cotton patches
forming a warm quilt
covering the ground

Update

We have had two #1 accidents and two #1s in the potty. Both of the number ones in the potty have been a “right place at the right time” situation, completely by coincidence, and every time she has peed without a diaper she says “Uh-oh.”

She says “uh oh” every time anything falls on the ground - dropped, thrown, or otherwise. But I’m glad she’s showing awareness!

Currently dreading a #2 scenario. She has no “tells” so…yeah. I’m living in fear.

Reading more into my General Psych book and it is talking about intelligence. Identical twins almost always have the same IQ levels but if they reach that genetic potential they were born with all depends on environmental factors that encourage the child of reaching it.

By the laws of science Stanley Pines has the same IQ level as Stanford but they were both treated differently in school and home life so they both developed it differently.

Stan was clearly not a book learner. If I had to peg him as anything I would say he is more hands on. He just goes for something without reading the instructions and can probably do it pretty well. Ford is the typical book learner that teachers love.

Home life was all about Ford and how great he was in school and Stan put all his might into boxing once he figured that was something he could do well and get praise for. Then comes everyone called him dumber then Ford so he never really tried to go for the high test scores because he probably (subconsciously) thought he could never get great grades.

I know it is old news that Stan is super smart like Ford but I like having the science behind it.
