Yes, Roseanne Barr Is Still Running For President

Comedian Roseanne Barr announced Thursday that anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan would be her running mate in her bid for the Peace and Freedom Party’s nomination for President.

The small California-based party, which first qualified for the ballot in 1968, is “committed to socialism, democracy, ecology, feminism and racial equality.”

Barr sought the Peace and Freedom Party’s nomination after her bid to become the Green Party presidential candidate failed.

“Cindy and I are the ‘Throw the Bums Out’ ticket and the ‘Ballot Access’ ticket. We want people to register in the Peace and Freedom Party so that the party can keep its ballot status in California,” Barr said.

The Peace and Freedom Party needs approximately 40,000 more registrants to maintain its ballot status beyond 2014.

“The American people are sick and tired of this ‘lesser evil’ garbage they get fed every election year. Both the Democrats and the Republicans do the same evils once they’re in office. I’m here to tell the voters: if you want to tell the government and the two domineering parties that you’re sick and tired of all their evil, register in the Peace and Freedom Party and vote for me and
Cindy,” she added.

A growing voice in American politics in recent years, Barr has caught the limelight for espousing 9/11 conspiracy theories and aligning herself with the 99 Percent movement.

She told protesters in New York City months ago that she planned to run for the nation’s highest elective office, adding that if she wins, she’d bring back the guillotine “for the worst of the worst of the guilty” and cap all personal incomes at $100 million a year.

“And if they are unable to live on that amount then they should go to the re-education camps and if that doesn’t help then be beheaded,” she added.
