fail!seduce series

Anyone who knew Violet well could tell she was thinking hard, because her long hair was tied up in a ribbon to keep it out of her eyes. Violet had a real knack for inventing and building strange devices, so her brain was often filled with images of pulleys, levers, and gears, and she never wanted to be distracted by something as trivial as her hair.

He thinks about Kit, some kind of warped, ruined saint with all her broken morals and shades of grey, surrounded by all of her foolish righteous holier-than-thou comrades, whiter than white, and he swallows heavily, because finally he understands what she meant. He doesn’t understand you like I do though, does he? he thinks, but she turns her back before he gets the chance to say it out loud.

Honestly, I love them so so so so much. I think the thing I love about them is how well they developed, both as individuals and as a couple, over the course of the series. Like in the beginning, there wasn’t a lot of focus on romance between them (though it was beginning to be implied once Sango recovered from “THAT ONE EXPERIENCE” after Miroku groped her), and there was instead camaraderie. I love how well they work as a team, and for the longest time they were friends with little hints here or there that prodded shippers to ship them (from the groping to the jealousy - both pretty stereotypical anime characteristics, but that’s kind of what I love about them).

I JUST LOVE THE WAY THEY DEVELOP OVER TIME. EVEN THE FILLERS LIKE “ONLY YOU, SANGO” WRECKED ME. OR THEIR TIME IN MT. HAKUREI. OR THE VILLAGE OF WOMEN. LIKE. THAT. WAS. MY. FAVORITE. THING. EVER. I. WANTED. TO. SOB.

This is supposed to be an “honest brutal truth” thing but it ended up being a ramble instead. Long story short, I think they both developed as individuals and as a pairing over a long period of time, and I think Rumiko Takahashi did it very well. They have some of the stereotypical anime character characteristics when it comes to a relationship, but it’s difficult to find pairings without (even Royai had a little jealousy going in the manga!).

ANYWAYS

I LOVE THEM. FANTASTIC PAIRING. 10/10 WOULD SHIP FOREVER AND AGAIN.

Chapter 8: Swatches and pizza

[Chapter 7]

It had been several months since you started dating Seungri. things in your relationship were going very well and you had a lot of fun together. He was away or busy a lot, but the two of you had found ways of dealing with that. You called each other a lot, skyped, and sometimes even exchanged hand-written letters. The most random thing though, and your favourite, was small square fabric swatches.

The day the first one arrived, you were perplexed to say the least. When you got home from a long day of work and school, you found a letter in your mailbox. You instantly recognised your boyfriend’s handwriting, your heart leapt in your chest when you saw it. Even though it wasn’t the first time he had been away while you were together you already missed him after just a few days, so every little communication from him made you happy.

You rushed upstairs to your apartment before opening your letter in peace and quiet. Opening the envelope, you expected a letter, but what dropped out was a small note and a slightly bigger square of fabric. You had no idea why he would be sending you a small swatch of fabric, and the note did nothing to explain. All it said was “I love you” in Seungri’s small slightly messy hand.
