So I did something gross but effective to my face. I made my own pore mask. Now don’t get me wrong biore’s pore strips are life. I love watching the blackhead rip out of the holes in my face as much as the next girl, but they can get expensive. I bought a packet of non flavored gelatin and followed the instructions here http://petitelefant.com/how-to-pore-strips/ . It really did work and it felt good on your face, as long as you didn’t let it get too hot. I will warn you it rips hair out DONT GET IT CLOSE TO YOUR EYEBROWS!! your face will be baby smooth though. Have fun, go to town and inbox me pics of your disgusting blackhead pus in the mask please I beg you.
There are few things I love more than a little DIY all-natural remedy. Especially when it comes to skincare. There are far too many nasty chemicals in most of the cosmetics on the shelf these days. Don’t get me wrong, I love make-up and feeling “pretty”, but I prefer to do it in as non-toxic of a manner as I can (Pacifica & Arbonne are some of my favs). So today, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite at-home facial treatments. These are so natural that they are completely edible (eh, maybe not the raw egg)— and truly good for you & your skin!
Avocado & Honey Mask:
½ of a ripe avocado
1/4tsp raw organic honey
Oatmeal, Honey & Olive Oil Scrub:
1TB olive oil
Egg Yolk & Lemon Treatment:
1 egg yolk
Juice of half a lemon
^Use these treatments for skin so soft & fresh.. you’ll feel like posting a TOTALLY MAKEUP-LESS UN-AIRBRUSHED PICTURE OF YOUR MUG ON THE INTERNET :) (Ok, so I have leftover mascara on). Enjoy!
