—  THE SIGNS AND THE SPEAKING BODY (PART I), by Jael
Around us, life bursts with miracles - a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colours, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.
—  Thich Nhat Hanh

Your eyes are a forest in the middle of winter. The deep brown trees branch out across your iris and stop abruptly at the snow of your sclera. Your pupils are a night sky and if given the right timing the crescent shaped moon centers it giving off the only like in that dark sky.  Your smile is snow covered mountains. The peaks aren’t perfect, but how they glisten when you smile makes than more captivating any snowfall. Your laugh is an avalanche. How it echoes through my head. How I would die just at the chance to hear it. Your heart is the sun and your brain is the moon. Your heart is a fire that will never go out. It is the biggest thing in our galaxy and still some people don’t see it’s importance. Your brain tries to light up the darkness that clouds it. It has a dark side you try to hide from the world, but no matter what you do the light side will always show over the dark.

I don’t think you understand that every part of you is a metaphor.

It has been a crazy hectic and strange last couple weeks. Many little things provoking self reflections and reminders of our impermanence within
this physical shell.
Connections created with like minded souls, ghosts seen in the shadows of night and long nights of music medicine and camp fire.
Finally feeling back to normal as of a couple days ago, which means….
back to work<3

We will be attending fay worlds this year splitting a huge booth with a bunch of beautiful folks including Invisible alchemy kombucha ( delicious) and hopefully some of sierras awesome leather work, among the reedz apothecary, wysterium wears, iron insanity and more.
We will also be setting up at last thursday this month in portland… aka..
in 2 days <3

Got more donations to make educational displays and shadow box displays!!
fetal pigs, kittens, snakes, large insects, lizards, bats, hearts, brains, eye balls and so much more. Processing and cleaning these up will be a LONG challenge of patience but am so very fortunate and thrilled to have the opportunity to work with these damaged creatures in hopes of restoration and revival.

blah blah blah, got up super early to use our internet and my mind is still hazy <3

Hope you all had a wonderful solstice and a lovely last couple weeks

My son Ivan Camilo. He is the oldest son but the little one of the family; the most helpless but also the bravest, does not know much of this world yet and probably is the wisest among us. I just hope to understand what brought us , what teaches us , I hope we see his great love.

He has TSC (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex). TSC is a genetic disorder that causes non-malignant tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. The aspects of TSC that most strongly impact quality of life are generally associated with the brain: seizures, developmental delay, intellectual disability and autism.
