Today, I fucked up... by thinking my friend was Satan for several years
Ok, so this fuck up actually occurred between 5th and 6th grade. I’m 25 now and this is still easily the biggest fuck up of my life…so far.
When I was in elementary, I made friends with a boy on the playground named Stan. Stan was a good kid. He was smart, loved to play, listened to his parents; you know, all the good stuff. Well right around that time, the Catholic church my family had been going to for several years brought in a new priest. This guy was one of those fire and brimstone type guys. You know, the kind of guy that would stand in the quad of his local state college screaming at the harlots and Jezebels walking by. This priest pretty much rewrote the Sunday School curriculum to put the fear of God into his children. Needless to say, my education in faith changed from learning about the Golden Rule and being kind to others to learning what Satan would do to me if I touched my ‘Holy Place’. That is the first time I had heard of this guy, Satan. I had learned about the Devil, lucifer, Adam, and Eve, but not this mean guy Satan. Now, you’re probably thinking to yourself “The Devil, Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub - they’re all the same being!” Yes, you are right. But to a very young child who’s only interaction with any of these names is in the antagonist of stories, I didn’t make the connection they were the same. Keep in mind, my previous priest was amazing. He understood that you can’t put fear into children and worked diligently to help us find the beauty within our own faith. This new guy was different. He wanted you to know early and often who and what Satan was. Unfortunately for me, I apparently had some sort of ADD/ADHD/Dyslexia (I don’t know, I wasn’t paying attention) and confused the word Satan with Stan.
As you can imagine, I was very confused. How could Stan, such a good guy and friend, hurt people? The thought terrified me. From that moment forward I feared any wrongdoing in front of Stan as I thought he would punish me. I actively avoided him at school, to the point in which we stopped being friends. I kept my eye on him from a distance…just waiting to see what horrible things he would do to people. I never told my parents about why Stan and I stopped being friends and I assume they didn’t notice. This continued for a few years, until the summer between 5th and 6th grade. Stan and I ran into each other at our local pool. As I walked through the front gate our eyes met and I went white. My parents recognized Stan and his family and immediately went over there to socialize, forcing me to actually talk with him. That’s when it happened: Stan asked me why I don’t play with him anymore. So many emotions exploded at that moment and I shouted, in front of his family, “Because you hurt people who do bad things!” My parents, his parents, hell half of the pool just stared at us. All was quiet until my mother cleared her throat and asked me where I had heard that. “Mom, Reverend Endofdays said Stan punishes people who do bad things!” Everyone just stared at me, blankly. “Honey…[Long Pause]…I think you mean Satan.” It took several minutes, but I realized the extent of my fuck up. For several years I had been operating under the assumption that my friend was the King of Hell.
Fast forward a few years, Stan and I are still pretty close friends. Though he moved away after highschool, we still joke about this incident.
TL;DR: I thought my friend Stan was Satan for several years. I was wrong.
Books you need to read right now so some books, like Percy Jackson or Raven Boys have big happy fandoms and thats GREAT but here are some books I feel are just as good but never seem to have gotten the love they should
The Half Bad Trilogy (Half Bad, Half Wild, Half Lost) Bisexual main character, epic gay love story, Harry Potter by way of Raven Boys, go read them, cry.
holy crap ok so i just thought of an ml au fusion, and you were the first ladybug blog on my dash so here goes: what if you combined blind!adrien au, and the au where your soulmate's first words to you are written on you. so like adrien would come to school and drop something and he'd be looking for it on the ground and marinette would come running up and say something like "oh let me help" and she'd see what she said written on his arm and then he'd say what's written on her arm and she'd (1/2
(2/2) completely freak out and he’d ask what was wrong and she’d just turn completely red and shove the thiing into his arms and run off and escalate even more in her freak out (partially because of the soulmate thing, partially because he’s hot and she’s marinette). anyway, you can go about your business, i just had to tell someone
Adrien begrudgingly woke up, his incessant alarm shattering his dreams. They had been pleasent, from what he could remember. His mother had been there, safe and warm. Colors and lights had danced around him, just as they did so long ago. Adrien wondered, as he often did, what it would be like to see again.
He remembered what it was like, of course, but there was only so much to draw on. He had lost his sight at a young age, due to a chance encounter with a faulty piece of construction equipment. A bolt here, a snapped belt there, and Adrien became a sunglasses aficionado. His mother and father had sued to hell and back, getting a settlement so large they could replace most equipment in Paris twice over. Although, Adrien apparently still had to model per his father’s request, but that train of thought was a little too depressing this morning.
Instead, Adrien yawned and stretched, sitting up before shutting off his alarm. Still groggy, he tried to sit up straight, mentally preparing himself for the day. First, he had breakfast plans with his best buds, Me, Myself, and I, followed by lunch with rousing conversation from his inner monlogue, and dinner plans under the stars. Well, there could be stars. His ceiling could look like anything at this point. Interrupted, of course, by various photoshoots, home-schooling, and asking his father about public school.
Quickly, Adrien ran through his room, pulling himself together as quickly as he could. Of course he would almost forget about school, the one day Nathalie actually managed to convince his father it wasn’t too dangerous. Under guard, of course, but that was nothing new. One of the surprisingly few benefits of having no friends over to change his room, is that he had memorized where everything was, able to walk around with confidence. Vaulting over various pieces of furniture, he scrambled together what he could only assume were the highest brands of fashion, since they had been pre-selected by Nathalie the night before, and ran out the door. Slowly, he walked back into his room, picking up his faceted cane he kept by the door. Feeling along the wall, he perused his selection of sunglasses.
“It feels like… A rimless day.” He muttered, grabbing a sleek pair of glasses with metallic bands.
Items in hand, he ran down the stairs, meeting the man simply known as Guerrilla at the door. Flipping on his shades, Adrien snapped his cane to the side, locking it in place. He was thankful Guerrilla was the one escorting him today. Of all the people in his life, Guerrilla was one of the few who didn’t think Adrien was made of glass. He didn’t take Adrien’s arm, or coddle him through life. It was a welcome change of pace, though it could get a little cold at times. Sitting in the car, Adrien could hardly keep still, esctatic to finally learn what a school was like.
Marinette’s alarm jolted her awake, almost making her fall out of bed. She was an incurably deep sleeper, so her mother had insisted on getting one of the loudest alarms on the market. How she had grown to loathe that machine. Still, she had actually woken up to her second alarm, giving her even less time to get to school.
Throwing her outfit together, she found herself once again lost in the faint birthmark along her left forearm. Everyone knew about Soulmarks, the destined first words spoken to you by your true love, but no one really ever talked about them. It was a simple fact of life, like having five fingers on each hand, or waking up just in time to be late to school. Besides, the birthmark faded after they were spoken, so if you had a mark, you hadn’t met The One, simple as that. Still, she couldn’t help but think that anyone who still had their mark felt the same confusion she did.
“And I felt so good about Rimless today.” Seriously, what the hell did that even mean?
Shaking herself out of her confusion, she ran down the stairs, dragging her bookbag behind her. With a quick breakfast and quicker goodbyes, she ran out of the bakery, making her way to school. That is, until she heard the faint ringing of the school’s bell, signifying to all students outside of the grounds that they were, unfortunately, late.
Groaning, Marinette picked up in speed, barely registering the black car pulling up beside her. As she ran, she kept her eye on the main gates. It was unlikely, but they might have instituted some new rule of locking out late students, and she would not be locked out all day. Many things would go over well with her parents, but that is not one of them. She was about to change course, climb the steps three at a time, and jump through the gates for a three point landing, until she ran full speed into a blonde boy getting out of a car. They both toppled to the ground, his bodyguard standing beside himself in shocked silence. It took the two of them a moment to actually react, each for wildly different reasons.
For Adrien, he was simply shocked that someone had snuck up on him like that. Sure, he hadn’t been fully paying attention, and he might have been a little too jittery with excitement, but he usually prided himself on his awareness. Still, this stranger had not only snuck up on him, but tackled him to the ground, all without him noticing a thing. She was like a ninja. A sneaky, clumsy, ninja.
For Marinette, her mind was working overtime, trying to grasp the fact that she had just tackled Adrien Agreste to the ground. Adrien Agreste. The same Adrien Agreste that she had seen a thousand times in her favorite fashion magazines. The son of her idol. Who she had just tackled to the ground. Whose sunglasses were now shattered a ways away. Who was trying to get up now.
Wincing through a scraped elbow, Adrien noticed a missing weight on his face, and reached up for his glasses. Feeling nothing but air, he started pushing off the stranger, trying to find one of his favorite pairs. Stunned, Marinette got off of him, still not quite sure how to process everything that just happened.
Reaching his shattered glasses, he clicked his tongue, saying, “Damn. And I felt so good about Rimless today.”
Finally catching up, Marinette rushed out, “Oh my gosh I am so sorry please don’t hate me I didn’t see you there that was my fault I was trying to get to my class and I’m gonna be late and you’re blind and I just broke your sunglasses I am SO SORRY, here please take mine.”
Holding out her hands, Marinette held a pair of white sunglasses, a floral print wrapping around its bands. With her head bowed, she caught a glimpse of Adrien’s arms, almost cradling his broken shades. And there, wrapping twice around his forearm, was a sprawling wall of text, slowly fading into his skin.
You leaned your head against the windows in one of Negan’s
trucks. You were driving to Alexandria to pick up the supplies they owed you,
but all you could think about was Rick. You had felt so sorry for him during
the line-up, mostly because all you could think about was how big his cock must
“You alright (y/n)?”
You looked to your side and saw Negan eyeing you
“I’m good, why?”
“You have that look on your face” he said with a big grin.
“What look?” you asked curiously. You laughed when he smiled
at you and gave you a wink. “You got that aroused look on your face, I can see
how dark your eyes have gone. You want some dick?” he asked, cockiness dripping
off of his voice.
“Shut up” you rolled your eyes, hoping that he would carry
on assuming you were getting aroused over him.
You continued in the car for another half an hour before you
finally pulled up to the Alexandrian gates. You stepped out the truck and swung
your rifle across your shoulder. You watched as Negan called out to Rick,
letting him know of your presence. You were standing behind Negan when Rick appeared
at the gate. His eyes immediately fell on you and you noticed them change, they
then flicked up to yours and you winked at him.
“Don’t make me ask” Negan said, he had some seriousness in
his voice but there was always a hint of amusement.
Rick said nothing as he opened up the gates and you could
see some of the group walking over.
“You all know what to do so get to it!” Negan shouted at you
and the rest of the saviors. You all started to walk to different houses,
storming in and taking what you wanted. You approached one house and you heard
footsteps behind you.
“Wait! That’s my house” Rick said, out of breath. You
continued to walk up the steps to his house and you opened up the door to find
a young boy and a baby inside.
“Carl, take Judith and wait outside” Rick said, stepping out
of the way so Carl and Judith could pass.
Once they had left Rick shut the door behind him and stared
at you. “I won’t take a lot” you giggled innocently, walking over to the
cupboards in the kitchen and looking at what was there. You made sure to wiggle
your hips as you walked, pushing out your butt as you stretched over the
counter to reach for stuff.
“Hey Rick, would you mind helping me out? I’m too short to
reach that” you said, almost teasing him with your cute voice. He hesitated
before coming over to you. You could see it in his eyes, he wanted you just as
much as you wanted him, but since you were on the ‘bad side’ he would never
make the first move. As he reached up to grab the can of beans you looked at
his arms, veins just visible on his skin and his muscles reacting to his
movement. He handed you the can and you made sure that your fingers brushed
together. You looked up at him, seeing him already staring at you when suddenly
his lips were on yours, and the can had fallen to the floor. You moaned into
the kiss as his fingers dug into your waist, and you wrapped your hands in his
curly hair. You broke away from the kiss so that you could start to take your
jeans off, Rick doing the same and fumbling with his belt. Once you were both
naked from the waist down your lips clashed together again, and Rick moaned
into your mouth as his tip started to rub against your wet slits. Rick lifted
you up and sat you on the counter, the material feeling cold against your bare
ass. You wrapped your legs around his waist, bringing him closer and forcing
him to push inside of you. He didn’t take his time as he pushed his full length
into you, not stopping to let you adjust. He thrusted into you wildly, letting
out grunts against your neck where he left rough kisses.
You heard the door open and your eyes grew wide as you
stared at Negan in shock. Rick immediately looked behind when he saw you weren’t
concentrating on him and he quickly pulled out of you and moved away.
“Negan-” You started but he raised his hand to silence you.
He started to grin, and you didn’t know if that was a good sign or a bad one.
“Would you look at that! Ricks getting in on all the action without
me!” Negan laughed and approached you, starting to unbuckle his belt. Rick said
nothing as he looked to the ground, trying hide his erection from Negan.
“This aint the time to be scared Rick! Carry on with what you’re
doing, just one thing, I get the back door” He winked at Rick and then at you.
You giggled at Negans words but Rick was a little hesitant
at first. You jumped down from the counter and led rick to the sofa, Negan
following behind now in only his shirt and jacket. You pushed Rick down on the
sofa and straddled him before lowering yourself onto his cock. He tried to hold
back a moan but the pleasure was all too much. He leaned his head back as you
continued to bounce on him.
“You’re such a dirt girl,
aren’t you?” Negan asked, coming up behind you and kissing your neck. “I knew
you wanted some dick, I could see it in your eyes” he laughed into your neck,
sending goose bumps down your skin. Between Negans dirty words and Ricks moans,
you were getting closer to your release.
You felt Negan begin to push his tip into your ass,
stretching you out. You were used to his size though, you did this every two
weeks or so back at the sanctuary. As he stretched you out he let out a deep
moan, moving his body forward and wrapping his arms around your waist. You
started to moan when the two men were thrusting in you at the same rhythm. Rick
started to rub his fingers against your clit, sending adrenaline coursing
through your veins. You leaned your arms on Ricks shoulders and rested your
head in the crook of his neck as he continued to leave kisses on you. You
noticed Rick was kind of a more romantic guy in bed, whereas Negan was a
straight up animal, pulling your hair, whispering dirty things in your ear and
just fucking your brains out.
“I’m close” you moaned. At this Rick’s finger movement sped
up and Negan continued to pound into you fast, bringing along your orgasm a lot
faster than usual. It took over your whole body, there was no warning sign as
your eyes hazed over, all noise was blocked out and you could only concentrate
on the pleasure both men were pushing into you.
Once you had finished your high both Negan and Rick came,
Rick quickly pulled out of you and you jerked him off until his warm liquid
spilled onto your hand. Negan finished off inside of you, staying still for a
couple of seconds as he rode out his high. You got off of Rick’s lap and
collapsed on the sofa next to him, watching Negan put on his boxers and jeans.
He walked over to the counter and threw your clothes at you, telling you to
hurry up because they were ready to leave.
You quickly changed and left Rick with a kiss on his cheek. “Until
next time!” you said, walking out of the house and following Negan to his car. —————————————————————————————————-
Summary: What’s going to be your relationship with prince Jongin’s future wife?
Pairing: Kim Jongin x Reader
With king’s words I felt my heart sank. No. It’s just impossible. It must be some kind of joke. I couldn’t believe it. He can’t get married yet. We just started everything and I don’t want it to be ruined so fast. My dream was coming true and now it shattered like a glass.
“What?” I heard Jongin’s shaked voice
I was trying to focus on their talk, but my thoughts were running around my head. Jongin is going to have a wife and when he’ll become a king, she’s going to be his queen. And it’s not going to be me. Actually, I shouldn’t expect anything else. I was only a servant. Maybe I used to be a princess, but it doesn’t change anything now.
“What ‘what’?” king snapped “You’re twenty three and you’ll soon become a king. I won’t let you take over the throne alone. You need someone to be by your side when it’s going to happen”
“I’m not ready and you know that!” Jongin exclaimed
“You are ready!” king raised his voice “You need to be”
“At least tell me who is she…”
The one that was supposed, to wear the silver dress I was wearing at Jongin’s birthday party. I think I remember her. She had beautiful black locks, brown eyes and she was always dressed in something red. Her brother married a princess from Thulosan, but she still visited him very often. I didn’t know her very well, but she seemed really… Cold.
“Why her?” Jongin asked “She’s three years older than me”
“But she’s my friend’s daughter and I know she’ll be a good queen one day” said the king
“But I don’t want her to be my queen”
Silence filled the room. Even hiding in a wardrobe, I still could feel the tension building up in the air. I was trying to imagine what was happening there. The king and the prince eyeing each other. I thought king Doyun wasn’t used to someone disagreeing with him. Especially, not his own son.
“The decision was already made” ruler’s voice was surprisingly calm “The last thing to set is the wedding day”
“No ‘buts’! You’re going to marry lady Shin and I don’t want to hear any objection!”
I heard heavy footsteps and then the door of Jongin’s room shut with a loud thump. My whole body was shaking. I didn’t move. I just kept looking at the ground, no words escaping my lips. He is going to marry lady Shin. Jongin is going to marry lady Shin, and I could do absolutely nothing about it. I felt tears form in my eyes. I wanted to go back in time and be a princess once more.
I saw the door in front of me opening. I looked up. Jongin was standing in front of me with a guilt on his face. He was breathing heavily and his eyes were avoiding mine. I still couldn’t say anything. One of my biggest dreams has just been destroyed with five simple words. We found you a fiancé.
I took a deep breath and walked past Jongin, my legs still shaking. Before I left the wardrobe, I felt him grabbing my wrist. I didn’t turn back to him.
“Don’t go” he whispered “Please… Not now”
“How can I stay?” I quietly asked “Knowing you’ll get married soon?
“Please… Y/N, I just-”
“We should stop if we still can” my tone was serious “Before it’s too late”
I hated it. I hated the fact that I was lying. It was too late a long time ago. Even before he told me how he felt about me. I should’ve expect it all turns out like this. He’s going to become a king soon and he needs his queen. Just like king Doyun said. Servant, like me is nobody compared to the royals.
“I can’t let you go” Jongin got closer to me “Not now. Not when it all just started”
“Do you think I want it?” I looked up at him “Do you think I want it to end?”
“I know you don’t want it too, but-” “But we have no choice” I interrupted him
I felt his piercing gaze on me. He knew I was right. I didn’t know if he felt how desperate I was to kiss his soft lips and let him embrace me. I felt the tears forming in my eyes.
“Please, don’t cry” I heard him whisper “I can’t stand seeing you cry”
“Then I’ll just go” my voice broke down
I started to walk to the door of his room. I didn’t want it and he knew it. Damn it. I didn’t want it so badly. I lifted my hand over a handle.
“Don’t call for me or don’t ask me to serve you anything” I said without looking at him “Let’s just don’t complicate this even more”
I went out of his room. I still had a small hope that he’ll go after me. But he didn’t. I shouldn’t be upset because that’s what I wanted. I just had to leave. Tears started to stream down my face. I wanted them to stop. I didn’t want to cry after Jongin. We barely knew each other. At least that’s what I thought. He was a prince and I was a servant. That’s all. How ridiculous the whole situation was? Last night prince Kim Jongin, the guy I fell for, confessed to me. We talked, shared a few kisses and not only. Now, the day after that happened, it all was ruined.
I wiped tears off my face. I didn’t want anyone to see them.
All of sudden, I started to quietly hum the song I grew up with. The anthem of Southerlands.
For the next few days I was working with Miyoung. I didn’t serve at any of royal’s meals. Jongin also didn’t call for me even once. I couldn’t sleep at nights. Since the moment I discovered he’s going to get married soon I couldn’t stop thinking about it. In my mind I saw pictures of him and lady Shin together. Both happy. Both in love. I was wondering is that ever going to happen. From what I’ve heard that evening, I could say he didn’t like the idea of her becoming his queen. But this was the decision king Doyun and queen Eunji made. There was nothing to do about it now.
I was helping Miyoung with the dresses for the ladies. She had so many orders it was impossible for her to do them on her own. I haven’t seen her in three days, so now I had to tell her the whole story. She was the one who encouraged me to go to the party, so I had to reveal what exactly happened. How he confessed, how he kissed me and how he promised to meet me again. Everything we’ve done in his room and the talk I listened too.
“I can’t believe it” she sighed “I can’t believe he’s going to get married!”
“I know…” I put another needle in the material
“He can’t do that!” Miyoung shouted “Not after what he has done with you! It’s just unfair!”
“Please, don’t shout. I don’t want anyone to hear about this:”
“I’m sorry” she stood next to me “I’m just… I’m just mad at him!”
I smiled. She was so young and inexperienced, but I loved it. She was always making me happier, even when I was sad. Just like now. The whole whole situation with Jongin was overwhelming me.
“Let’s change the topic” I suggested with a weak smile on my face “Whose dress it will be?”
“Um…” she bit her bottom lip “It’s lady Shin’s”
I froze. I should’ve known. It was red, just every single dress that belonged to her. She was coming back to the kingdom this evening, so that’s the gown she’s going to get as a welcoming gift. I was wondering if I should stop working on the dress. But I didn’t want to show that I care, so I just sat on the chair and sew on another ribbon to the material.
“You’re pretending you don’t care, right?” Miyoung asked
“Yes” I said “And I’ll tell Jongin I sewn this one”
“You’re going to talk to him?”
“No” I laughed “At least not now. We’re both not ready”
I was trying to joke about it, but the truth was that I still cared. He wasn’t leaving my thoughts. Memories of us together in the garden and his room made me blush so easily. His hands on my body, our lips connected. It all didn’t want to leave my mind.
“What’s going on?” I asked with confusion when I saw Yeun getting up from her bed
“You don’t know?” she raised her eyebrow at me
I gently shook my head. No one told me about anything.
“We need to help with lady Shin’s arrival” she said
I clenched my hands into fists under a blanket. Why do we need to do that? Weren’t here hundreds of servants who could do it instead of us? The worse thing about it, was that Jongin will be there for sure. She was his fiancé after all.
“Come on” Yeun broke the short silence “We need to hurry. She can come in any minute”
I got up from my bed with a loud sigh. I didn’t want anyone to know that something happened between Jongin and me. Because no one in the palace, or anywhere else, would think that prince could fall for a servant. If this ever would happened, it was doomed for failure from the beginning.
We walked out of our room. I was wondering how Jongin is going to react. We haven’t seen each other in a few days. Maybe he was trying to forget, just like me? I didn’t want to remember our few moments together, but every time I closed my eyes, I saw us kissing.
Together with Yeun, I walked through a long corridor, which led to palace’s gate. I saw king Doyun, queen Eunji and some servants. Of course, Jongin was standing next to his parents. I couldn’t help, but stare at him. Surprisingly, he wasn’t smiling. The usual joy and happiness were replaced by seriousness. I’ve never seen him like this before.
I stood next to Yeun, on the left side of the royals. With a corner of my eye, I saw Jongin noticing me. I didn’t turn to face him, but I still could feel his gaze on me. I took a deep shaky breath.
“Are you alright?” Yeun’s voice made me snap out of my thoughts “You seem a bit out of here”
“It’s just a headache” I lied “It’ll pass”
Suddenly, I heard clatter of wheels. I saw two dark horses and a big black carriage going through palace’s gates. My eyes were following it, until it stopped a few meters away, sending a cloud of dust. I coughed quietly.
Carriage’s door opened and when I looked up, I saw a tall figure. Lady Shin was standing in front of the royal family. She bowed quickly and her long red dress twirled around her feet. I just stared at the whole situation. Jongin just kept looking at her with no emotions on his face.
“Your majesty” lady Shin’s voice was really high and somehow unpleasant
“My dear Jihee” king Doyun smiled “We are so happy that you finally came back to us”
“I am honored that you chose me to be your son’s future wife” she said
“You are no idea how happy we are, to announce your marriage” queen Eunji clapped her hands “We know that you lived in our castle for a long time, but it’s going to be a little bit different from now on”
“In a few minutes, Jongin will show you where your new room is” the king looked at his son with warning in his eyes “But now, as you’re almost the part of our family, choose one girl. She’s going to be your private servant”
Now I realized that there weren’t any man here. Lady Shin glanced at our small group of servants. She came closer and looked carefully at each of us. I didn’t want my eyes to met her’s. They were so dark and cold. I felt her presence in front of me. No. Please, no. She can’t choose me. There are at least ten six more girls here. I shut my eyes, hoping she won’t say the words I was expecting.
“I want her” she said and breath caught in my throat
“No” Jongin’s voice was strong and sudden
“Why?” lady Shin turned to face him
“Because she’s a seamstress” he snapped “They have a lot of work, so we can’t give them even more”
When I looked up, I saw Jongin staring at me. On the contrary to his voice, in his eyes there was care and gentleness. I couldn’t believe he said ‘no’ to his future wife. Maybe he didn’t want to forget? Maybe he still wanted me as much as I wanted him?
“You’re Y/N, right?” queen Eunji came closer to me with a smile on her face
“So, are you a seamstress, Y/N?”
I took a deep breath and looked at Jongin. I hoped he realised what I wanted to tell him.
“No, your highness” my voice was really quiet “Your son must have mistaken me for someone else because I sometimes help with sewing the gowns, but… As I said before, I am not a seamstress”
“Good” king Doyun eyed Jongin “Y/N, from now on you’re a private servant of lady Shin. You are going to have more duties, but I’ll make sure it will be well rewarded. Start from helping her with the luggage”
“Yes, your highness” I bowed and quickly went closer to the carriage
I had to stand on the tiptoes to take the smallest bag. It was pretty heavy. When the coachmen saw I had problem with the rest, he got up from his seat and helped me. I didn’t know if he was allowed to do that, but no one complained. When he finished, I smiled gently and mouthed ‘thank you’. Now, I had three big and one small bag in front of me and I had to take them all to lady Shin’s new room. I hoped it wasn’t somewhere deep in the castle.
“Jongin, you will show lady Shin her new chamber?” king Doyun wasn’t asking his son a question
The prince just shrugged and let out a sigh, leaving everyone shocked. Me included. I was expecting that he’ll say ‘with pleasure’ or something like that, but instead of it I just heard:
He started walking to the castle. King Doyun furrowed his eyebrows. I could see how mad he was. He whispered something to his wife and looked at me. I immediately took the smaller bag and one of the bigger ones. I knew I’ll have to go back here and take the rest. Lady Shin pretended nothing happened and started to follow Jongin. When she was about to enter the palace, she stopped and turned to face me. In that exact moment, I tripped over something and dropped the smaller bag. I quietly hissed from sudden pain. I looked around and I noticed everyone was staring at me. Jongin clearly struggled with the desire to approach and help me. Brushing the dust off, I got up and joined lady Shin.
When I was close enough, she leaned in and whispered with a devilish smile on her face that only I could see:
“You drop something once more, you sleep in the dungeon”
Author’s note: I can’t believe that previous parts have over 80 notes! Thank you!
