Prince Harry sank to his knee to speak to Jonathan Bryan, 11, from Stanton St Quintin, Wiltshire.
The youngster, has a number of disabilities and is unable to speak so communicated through a spelling board attached to a piece of Perspex, with a carer reading his gaze to each letter to help him construct words and sentences.
Jonathan says his motto is ‘never judge a book by its cover; never look at a child like me and assume we are not worth teaching.’
'How does this work?’ Harry asked Jonathan, who spelt out his answers to the royal, 'what do you call it?’
'Do you find this a very good way to express yourself?’
