exposing black truth

Found an article about a lesbian couple who are suing when over being impregnated by a black donor instead of their chosen white donor. What are your views/thoughts on their lawsuit?

White Mom’s Lawsuit Over Black Baby Exposes Ugly Truths About White Privilege

The whole this is so disgusting and anti-black I can’t even deal. They have the nerve to say it’s “not about race” and yet, they’re suing the sperm bank because they’re “stressed” about raising a black child. That’s right. They’re friends, family and neighborhood is racist they don’t feel safe raising their daughter there and now they have to move! Oh no! (cause you can just move cities and escape racism don’t ya know) Here’s what blows my mind and shows how anti-black and stupid they are. They were TOTALLY OK with being surrounded by racists until they had a black kid. NOW they’re concerned?! That’s some cluless Kim Kardasian “I didn’t know racism still existed” logic huh? Cause if their kid was white they wouldn’t have had any problem raising them around racists. I mean…

The thing that upsets me the most about the whole thing is how thirsty they are for the spotlight and how it’s at the complete detriment to that little girl. Yes, the sperm bank messed up and they have grounds for a medical malpractice suit, but there’s no reason for them to be doing tv interviews and crying on national tv. I can’t help but think of how crushed that little girl is going to be when she gets older and sees her parents all over the news crying because they got a black kid instead of a white one. If they really loved her, they wouldn’t be making this a public spectacle and instead would quietly file a malpractice suit, put the money towards her education and move the hell on. I really feel for that little girl.

White Mom's Lawsuit Over Black Baby Exposes Ugly Truths About White Privilege

What happens, exactly, when a white family that wants a white sperm donor gets a half-black child instead?

In the case of a lesbian couple from Ohio, it means a “wrongful birth” lawsuit against the sperm bank — two years after the fact. The lawsuit has apparently been prompted by the “racial problems” the parents are experiencing now that their child, 2-year-old Payton, is inching closer toward learning about the cruel, racist realities of American society. But there’s another large issue sitting at the crux of what’s otherwise a lawsuit about medical malpractice.

Dealing with blackness has become burdensome and inconvenient for these two white mothers — because the biracial baby completely upended their decades of enjoying the spoils of white privilege.
