Just thought I’d share my weeping angel costume, I actually made this for school, because we got a self portrait assignment in photography.
I used cardboard and newspaper to create the wings then painted them with acrylic paint.

#like lots 2 be said about how *hyper*femininity is adjacent to gender nonconformity?#(in women/assumed women)#it can be a way to break out of sexualised expectations (see: lolitafashion)#and just a way of exploring fashion and self expression in a way thats feminine But#which isnt based on your body#like u get to display makeup and accessories#and even a feminine figure but like its not Your figure#its the contrast between a big skirt and a fitted waist#or its a padded bra#you know?#also ofc we have to factor in that feminine fashion generally allows for more of like#Everything#more self expression more experimentation more variety#so even if u have transmasc flavour dysphoria u might lean more that way#especially as an egg/pre coming out#PLUS at that stage dressing masc can make u feel bad for reasons u cant admit#whether bc it shows how you're Not physically masculine and makes u feel#like a poor imitation#or bc ur in denial abt liking it#so ur need to have Control over ur appearance#finds an outlet in an over the top very artistic kind of femininity#that is a costume to u (not in a bad way! its a good coping mechanism!)#but its not your final form#and ofc some trans guys are hyperfeminine post transition!!!!!!!!!!!#but this is just focusing on the experience of being Some Guy#who was a glam girl last year#lmao#misc
