I had a lot of fun in Kobe today! I have a lot of photos, but I’m much too tired to resize and post them all now. So, here is one set for now, of the lunch Yapi bought me for my early birthday gift – Kobe Beef!
The first two pictures are beef sashimi and oxtail soup. The rest are Kobe beef sirloin. Kobe beef, (神戸ビーフ) refers to cuts of beef from the Tajima strain of wagyu cattle, raised in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, according to rules as set out by the Kobe Beef Marketing & Distribution Promotion Association. The meat is generally considered to be a delicacy, renowned for its flavour, tenderness, and fatty, well-marbled texture.
It was amazing – the most tender meat I’ve ever had! I hope you get to try it if you haven’t yet!
