Exit Interviews [S:16/17] | Tyler Seguin

You know there’s going to be some changes, when it’s a losing season. Especially the one we had. You feel like you’ve let yourself down, you’ve let your teammates down most importantly. And obviously, seeing a coach go, you feel like you let him down. I do feel that, and I’m sure he’s going to find a job pretty quickly.

anonymous asked:

For the character headcanons - Bernie Wolfe, number 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22. Thank you!

Yay!

10. Fears/phobias?

Bernie Wolfe is terrified of Serena leaving her. She’s spent so long fighting herself and being used to herself being the one who runs that the idea of someone else leaving scares her. The sabbatical proves this to her.

13. What gets them flustered?

When Serena makes really obviously suggestive comments in public. When the receptionist asked if they had anything planned for their stay, did Serena really have to reply with ‘eating out’ alongside a super suggestive wink?

14. Ingrained habits/forces of habit?

Getting up at 5am everyday. Feeling the need to go running or do weights. She also makes sure Serena is furthest from harm, and always has to sit facing an exit.

16. Dark secrets/'skeletons in the closet’?

The biggest one was always her attraction to women. Now that’s out, there’s less in the closet, so to speak. However, she’s sketchy about her military past, scared people will run when they discover she once killed someone in defence.

17. Regrets?

Not being true to herself sooner, though in a way she’s glad as that led her to Serena. Kiev. Always Kiev. No matter how many times Serena tells her it is in the past, she can’t quite forgive her cowardice.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines?

My main one has been what if she was Sexy Firefighter Bernie? However, if Bernie had been truer to herself sooner and arrived at Holby, I wonder how long it would have taken for she and Serena to become a couple.

21. Turning points in their life?

Joining the RAMC. Every military promotion. Giving birth to Cameron and Charlotte. Alex. The divorce. Meeting Serena and arriving at Holby. Kiev. Her first time with Serena.

22. People who’ve influenced them greatly?

Her parents were the ones who inspired her to join the military. Marcus gave her Cameron and Charlotte. That one scary major when she was a new recruit gave her ambition. Alex made her be a bit less scared. Serena showed her the world.

Transiting Pallas enters Retrograde Zone

Timetable (current events in bold)
Sunday, June 11 - Pallas enters retrograde zone, 25:05 Aries, 06:41 UT
Monday, June 26 - Pallas enters Taurus
Monday, September 11 - Pallas retrograde, 14:16 Taurus, 17:49 UT
Thursday, November 16 - Pallas rx back into Aries
Sunday, December 17 - Pallas direct, 25:05 Aries, 23:38 UT
Saturday, January 20, 2018 - Pallas back into Taurus
Wednesday, February 26, 2018 - Pallas exits retrograde zone, 14:16 Taurus, 20:37 UT

Martin Bulgerin, first off:

“Pallas relates to themes of creativity, initiative and planning. Frequently, Pallas retrograde is a time when you must concentrate more fully on some creative endeavor. There’s often a need to rethink your plans and come up with a new approach to some situation. It may seem like there’s a conflict between the head and the heart, although it’s possible to go beyond this apparent conflict and have it both ways. You may be experiencing troubles adjusting to situations where you don’t naturally fit in, requiring compromise or creative resolution on your part. This is often a ‘mental’ period when the emotional life takes a back seat to something more important.”

I suppose the “Cliff Notes” version of this particular Pallas RZ would go something like this: “We get a really brilliant idea about creative self-expression (the aspects over June 18-20), except it almost immediately gets bogged down, or we fall into a torpor or something (Taurus; Rx). Around Yuletide it turns itself around, though (direct motion), and after the new year (out of zone) we find we have all the tools we need to go ahead.”

So, what’s in store for these next two weeks of Pallas in Aries? In Martin’s words, “During the first pass, you may not even be aware of the need for change or that at some unconscious level, your psyche is already setting the stage for situations that will teach you. Perhaps you dimly notice storm clouds on the horizon, but you don’t pay them much attention. By the retrograde station, the pattern is crystallized and set in motion.”

Looking at that aspect pattern below, “it” may start as a whopper of a brilliant idea with tons of potential for self-actualization. (Peeking ahead to the day Pallas turns direct, there’s another massive cosmic “set up” which will involve the Sun, Moon, Venus, Ceres, Uranus, and the Nodes.)

What you need to do is spend a little time with your natal Pallas. What’s she up to? This is going to cause all the fun and games to come.

Next, look at which of your natal houses the swath of 25:05 Aries through 14:16 Taurus falls. That’s where the action will take place. It’s likely that those 19 degrees will fall into two houses (it does for Ms M); that means that you’ll have some “unfinished business” from the 25:05 Aries placements, before you can truly move on with the work of the next house. (Fans of Ms M Going Pro will be intrigued to see that it’s 95% in her 6th House. It may just “take” that long to get everything set up to my and my kids’ satisfaction.)

Sunday, June 18, North Node/Leo trine Pallas/Aries, 27:19;
South Node/Aquarius sextile Pallas/Aries, 27:19;
Sun/Gemini sextile Pallas/Aries, 27:20;
Monday, June 19, Uranus/Aries conjunct Pallas/Aries, 27:44;
Tuesday, June 20, Mercury/Gemini sextile Pallas/Aries, 27:59

This is an aspect pattern called a cradle: a series of sextiles which lead from one to the next. In this instance it’s

South Node/Aquarius, which is sextile to
Pallas and Uranus/Aries, which is sextile to
Sun and Mercury/Gemini, which is sextile to
North Node/Leo

This “incident” is probably going to manifest as a learning opportunity - it’s the way this type of sextile tends to manifest, the main sextile between the Aries conjunction (aligning one’s mental-creative process with intuition and transpersonal thought) and the Gemini conjunction (identifying with information gathering and sharing). In and of itself it’s pretty much oriented to personal development and growth; it’s the interaction with the Nodes that can elevate it into becoming much more.

There are two trines in the pattern, as well, with the Gemini planets encouraging the South Node to “serve a larger group or humanitarian purpose,” and the Aries planets showing the North Node that by doing so it can develop self-respect and leadership qualities.

Additionally, on the 19th the Moon will be taking part in the action during her trip through Aries.

Planets/Points affected lie between 26:19 and 28:59 of the yang signs Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.

Please feel free to help Ms M maintain her sanity during her recuperation, and ask questions!

Exit Interviews [S:16/17] | Jamie Benn

We got to find a way to put these seasons together consistently. We can’t be going one in one out every year. … You know, for sure we could have done a better job as leaders. I think you got to look at yourself first in the mirror. You hate to look back at this point on the year and ask yourself ‘what happened?’ It should’ve been dealt with mid-season and adjustments should’ve been made. For sure we could’ve done a better job as a group and as a group of our leaders getting by the early adversity that we had.

Exit Interviews [S:16/17] | Mattias Janmark

How are you trying to handle that lingering doubt? Jim said earlier that ‘if anyone could do it, [Mattias] can’, so there’s some confidence but it sounds like there is still a little unsureness.

Yeah, I know I think it was more the first couple of months, maybe. You think a lot and you’re worried about all of the exams you’re doing. But now I am more comfortable with it and I know what I can do. There’s things that need to happen for me to get back. I think if I do a good job and work hard, eventually with time I will be back.

it’s the ones with the pretty smiles that cry
when they are all alone at night
and cannot help but break
under the weight of all the pain that they cannot take
—  but darling it is okay to cry
water has always been a sign of life
and all pain needs a place to exit
and crying is a way to get it out
without you having too leave too
so baby hold your head up
even when the tears are streaming down
because no matter what rule number one is
never look down
