We got to watch a family of hyenas in action at their den site. Momma grabbed one of the babies exploring and took it back to the den for a licking and a suckle. Meanwhile, a couple of juniors were lying around. The picture of baby being carried here looks a lot like an upcoming photo of momma leopard dragging prey home to baby. Stay tuned.

At the cost of a beating she and her friends, Achilles and Ajax, successfully forced the far larger German cruiser Admiral Graf Spee into the port of Montevideo, in neutral Uruguay. There she was scuttled in a rare early war victory.
That’s a gunshot wound you see in the middle of her forehead. She was shot by poachers, but lived to tell the tale. The US National Gun Association has proposed arming all Rhinos with AK-47s to prevent further poaching. So far the South African government has not followed up on their offer.
