excuse not to run

Writing OCs

I know I have more than seven ocs, but these are the ones I’ve written about the most in the long run. (I also just wanted an excuse to draw chibis and organize the obscene amount of characters I have.)

Clockwise from top:
Octavian
(Human, Migraines & Mutations);
Lorcan (Vampire, The Music Box);
Ramirez ( Human Wizard/ Shapeshifter, Witchy Paws);
Gladys (Vampire, Personal drabblings);
Yvaine (Human, Migraines & Mutations);
Cordelia (Human, Personal drabblings);
and Madge (Human Witch, Witchy Paws).

Enjoy!

My birthday is coming up and I really really love your drawings of Bokuto. If you're not too busy, could you make my day with a Bokuto drawing? Thank you!

Ahhhhh thank you!! I hope you’ll have a great birthday~!!

No one is above Naruto running

@bittersweetyrant discovered Chat Noir doing it. (link)

Most of you know Jagged Stone did it in Kung Food.

But how many of you caught this, also in Kung Food?

Talks Machina Highlights: Episode 94
  • Denise message: “MY WORDS ARE A SPELL I’M CASTING ON YOU ALL”
  • Everybody will be in next week’s ep for the continuation of Liam’s one-shot!
  • If Pike had been in the Nine Hells, Percy probably would’ve signed the contract secretly as opposed to up-front. She’s the only one who can actually evoke shame in them at this point.
  • Taliesin was planning the entire time to scry on Scanlan and has been trying to make an excuse to steal the Scrying Eye for weeks.
  • Pike’s moment with the earring, talking to Scanlan, was 100% improv.
  • Laura suspects Sam wouldn’t have been able to pull off Scanlan’s departure if Pike had been there. As it was, after the show went on break, Sam felt so bad that he ran over and gave a hug to everyone. If he’d made Pike cry, according to Laura: “he’d be UNFORGIVABLE.”
  • Taliesin semi-bullshitted the Grey Hunt stuff and Matt rolled with it. Taliesin gave him a ride to the airport the next day and they talked about how much they enjoyed how it worked out.
  • Laura points out that she’s the type of gamer who reloaded the game 20 times in ME3 to try to find a way to get a resolution that would be good for everyone when one didn’t exist, and she had that same sense of frustration when she got home after the game. She was really upset over the resolution of the Grey Hunt, but is feeling a bit better knowing it at least wasn’t failure.
  • Ashley and Travis both briefly thought the Grey Hunt was gonna be a weird proposal. Taliesin: “I feel like in our friends group the proposals have been getting more and more ridiculous. That would be the meta-continuation.”
  • Taliesin points out that Percy has a problem with abandonment and the whole thing with Scanlan is hitting his “really serious anger management issues.” Percy was hoping to get Vex’s vague permission/help over the Scanlan thing, and when it wasn’t forthcoming, he changed his plans to be less extreme. Percy’s also dealing with guilt over not feeling useful in the underwater fight, and is displacing that as anger over Scanlan not being there to mitigate that issue.
  • Pike’s got a lot of lingering resentment over Scanlan leaving.
  • Vex would’ve approached the Hunt differently if she’d known more about the creature ahead of time. Everyone decides that it probably killed a lot of small, cute woodland creatures when it threw the tree at Vex.
  • Percy’s most angry about Scanlan leaving the group and abandoning his responsibilities. Everyone else has to deal with the horrible shit going on, but he’s the one who gets to fall apart.
  • Ashley was disappointed not to be in the Hells—she was wondering if she might’ve had a permanent shift in her personality as a result of staying there. Ashley really struggled with playing Pike as a good character early in the home game.
  • Vex was at 10 HP at the end of the Hunt. Taliesin didn’t think there was a real chance of death there, because Matt’s great at building tests that are terribly difficult but not fatal, but was more worried that she was gonna fail. Laura: “God, I would’ve felt like a loser!”
  • Ashley and Laura have both kept themselves from watching the scene that was just Taliesin and Sam and Matt in the room.
  • The idea of leaving with Scanlan crossed Ashley’s mind when she watched the episode, but it’s tough to tell what would’ve happened if she’d been there, because so much of the show is in-the-moment.
  • Vex thinks of Whitestone as home, more than Greyskull.
  • Pike feels some guilt over Scanlan’s departure because of the pranking. “I never thought he would be mad at something like that, of all people.” Percy didn’t feel bad about it, because that’s not where Scanlan’s anger really came from. Pike still feels bad, knowing that.
  • Poor Brian has food poisoning and had to run off-set midway through the show. Ashley jumps in to take over. “Okay, Laura and Ashley. Uh. Me.”
  • Taliesin says Percy and Cassandra don’t really talk about personal things—she probably doesn’t know about Vex, although she suspects. They love each other and all, but they’re not a very warm family. “It’s cold and we live in a castle, for god’s sake.” Laura sums it up: “Cassandra is no Vax.” Percy and Cassandra weren’t super close as kids. “She was a brat.”
  • Brian judges Ashley for not coming up with a funnier excuse for his running off-screen.
  • Vex and Vax have been growing into their own people over the past few months, but Laura doesn’t know how Vex will deal with being in Whitestone without having Vax around, without the comfort of knowing the person she loves most is nearby.
  • Percy has come up with contingency plans for if the other party members go rogue. Brian: “Tell me about it.” Taliesin: “No. They’re in the room.”
  • Vex has an affinity for nature, and while she’s growing accustomed to Whitestone, she’s more comfortable not being around people, because it lets her keep from putting on an act.
  • Before Pike died, her hair was black (with a purple streak), and after she died, her hair turned white.
  • Ashley gets asked about Pike’s parents and grandparents, and there is a story there, but she refuses to answer in case it comes up in the game.
  • Someone asks about Percy breaking his "honesty streak.” Taliesin: “It’s not an honesty streak, it’s just a period of not being caught lying.” Laura: “People think [Percy]’s much better than he is.”
  • Blurbs on the back of Tary’s book. Percy: “A fascinating addition to the Audubon chronicles of Emon.” Vex: “Don’t believe the lies.” Pike: “I enjoyed the artwork in particular. Great read, but the artwork is fantastic. By the late and great artist, Doty(e), someone whom we used to know.”

Talks Machine in the Dark:

  • If Pike had a companion along the lines of Trinket, it would be a baby snow owl.
  • Taliesin wants fanart of Strawberry Shortcake-esque little animal pets for all of them.
  • Taliesin hasn’t thought about what Grog’s title would entail. “Now that you’ve said it, I’m having thoughts, and they’re all ridiculous and a little mean.”
  • Favorite spells outside their class: all agree that Chromatic Spray is cool. Taliesin misses using Prestidigitation. Brian: “I don’t have that spell because I can’t pronounce it.”
  • Percy smells like sandalwood and gunpowder.
  • After a long debate over which character would win in a Survivor AU, they eventually decide everyone would survive and they’d all do just fine together.
  • Ashley and Laura have matching compass tattoos, along with two more of their friends—they each have a direction.
  • High-school superlatives. Pike: “Best legs.” Percy would have a series along the lines of “President of chess club, president of yearbook club. Most likely to help make the yearbook.”
Aura masterpost

This took forever but its done! This post includes the colors and correlations of an aura, a description of what they are, aswell as other small bits of information I’ve picked up over the years and how to start seeing them. If I’ve missed any colors-be sure to let me know! 💕

DESCRIBING THE AURA

All beings have what is called an aura. It is an energy field around a person/animal and sometimes thing, everything gives off vibration, which some people can feel,sense, or most commonly see as a color around a person or the thing. An aura is usually about 3 feet outwards from the subject, however auras have been known to expand up to 50 feet in most often survivors of a trauma. This probably comes from the subconscious need to protect oneself from the event. Commonly there are seven “layers” or different colored sections of an aura, where some people can see more then nine. A more experienced psychic will eventually be able to see all of these colors, however the most common to see first is the first layer of aura, the Etheric aura. Each layer has a higher vibration of the one beneath it. The etheric layer seems to be the most structured and solid, and the highest layer seems to come off as a gassy or oily looking mix of color, like fog.

Like all vibration our aura can be intercepted and mix with other peoples if they touch us, or express emotions towards us, if we’re emotionally attached to someone, etc. Peoples auras are known to turn pinkish shades if they’re in love. Expand if angry, retreat if sad. If there are sparks in the aura, the person is known to have divine protection, depending on the color-white sparks usually represent angelic interference. Before one dies or if one has a near death experience their aura can turn dead white. Sparkly white can also indicate someone about to become pregnant or someone who is pregnant. A weak, small or faint aura can represent someone who is sick spiritually or physically just as a strongly vivid aura can indicate a healthy person. If someone has an intricate idea, the aura around their head can sparkle or turn bright, (Like the cartoon lightbulbs on cartoon characters!)

LAYERS OF THE AURA

First layer-Etheric

-About one-quarter to two inches from the body. This has to do with the physical body and overall health of the person.

Second layer-Emotional

-One to three inches from the body. This color has to do with the overall emotions of the person.

Third layer-Mental

-Three to eight inches from the body. Associated with the thoughts and thinking process

Fourth layer-Astral

-One to one and a half feet from the body. The bridge between the physical and spiritual planes. We express here our relationships to others and the spiritual plane.

Fifth layer-The etheric template

-One and a half to two feet from the body. Here is how we manifest energy and our true personality.

Sixth layer-The Celestial layer

-Two to two and three quarters feet from the body. This is the layer where you will see the connection to the spiritual plane, and the relationship to the universe//God, universal love.

Seventh layer- Ketheric Template

-Two and a half to three feet from the body. The strongest layer of the aura. Here is our true spiritual self, our being’s color.

[Other layers are yet to be explored or have any pinned meanings]

SEEING THE AURA

Seeing an aura is easier then you would expect, especially if you are already used to spiritual topics and sensing energy, or meditate on a daily basis.

The first step is being relaxed, and being aware. Meditate for a few seconds, get in your “zone” for witches or workers, this is the place you go before you complete a spell. For newbies, this is just a calming zone, until you feel detached from the physical realm enough to start.

Normally, dim lighting works best, but its all about your awareness and preferences-the best place for myself and a few others i know was always a brightly lit grocery store. Wherever is right for you works! Also, dark backgrounds can warp what color the aura truly is,making it darker-make sure the background behind the person is light,preferably white, so you can see the aura in vivid, bright color.

Most people can see aura through clothes, but its obviously easier to see it on skin, and you wont have to worry about the color of clothes warping the aura.

For some people, its hard to see an aura straight on, and for others, you can view it better from the corner of your eye.

The forehead method:

Start by staring at the person’s forehead. Relax, and start slowly unfocusing your eyes. There should be a clearish color starting to form around the person like a shield,lining the person’s body. Remember not to look directly at the colors forming or the clear vibration yet-try not to move your eyes from the unfocused position either, be as still as possible, and the clear shield will start forming into a color.

This is the best way to start seeing past the etheric aura, the outer colors of the aura closest to the skin.

The straight-on method:

Take the person’s hand or arm, place it on the light background you’ve chosen. Now focus as close as you can to their skin, without looking directly at their skin. Like the forehead method, a clear surrounding should start to form right outside of the skin. Keep focused, and eventually you will see color.

They love bright colors.They love music and aren’t afraid to act out at a concert. They look for the reactions in people- what kind can vary on what this person has missed out on or feels him/herself-attention, to anger, to sadness. They can evoke actions in people and make people fearless. Usually they call themselves “night owls” loving to walk cities in the dark, the fog of the night. These are the people who spray paint a city-for a political or big movement, and aren’t afraid to do so. They are often judged as scary because their personality can range so far, and is new and unusual to so many people. Magentas can have trouble with exhaustion or lack of energy because they use so much of it as well as depression-feeling like they have no emotion in general because they feel so differently, or are treated as if. Silver:

When the aura turns silver it  indicates a spiritual awakening or a new idea. Cosmic energy. Nurturing. Seen in older people , a sign of wisdom.

Black:
A negative influence or sickness if muddy or dull. Lack or emotion.
Grounded, a stable person. An intense person. This can also indicate a surviver of abuse. Long term-unforgiveness. Unable to feel guilt. Secrecy. A hard color to interpret! Be positive.

White

Again a hard color to interpret. This color is more like a “noise” when read. In some cultures, this is a color of death,and white appears right before the time of death in the aura,or in someone who is terminally ill or addicted to substances. In a better light, it is divine, angelic or indicates a spiritually well person. Someone peaceful,purity. Like pink this can represent powers not yet obtained or dormant or developing abilities.

Yellow/green:
If found in points along the body it can indicate sickness or an illness healing in a person.

Grey:

Loneliness, developing abilities, Shyness, Depression.

Muddy colors

Colors that are muddy or foggy or seem to be darkened or not bright can be signs of instability or manifesting thoughts, the bad ones. These colors should be read very carefully, remember that its not always the bad reasoning first. For example, black can show up in spots of an aura of someone working through bad emotion, black taking the light to manifest and transform it into something good,  or consume it,black can actually be PROTECTING someone from negative energies.  As muddy colors are mostly portrayed in a negative light, the descriptions are going to face that direction aswell,but remember not everyone suffering is a bad person,they’re just going through something tough like we all do eventually. These colors are not usually strong points, and show as spots in the aura.

  • Muddy brown:
  • Selfishness, anxiety,paranoia. Low self esteem. Material greed.

  • Mostly found in students. Someone working too hard,trying to learn everything at once.
  • Muddy blue
  • Blocked perception, worry,rushing
  • Muddy turquoise/teal
  • Struggling with their life purpose. Thinking they will never amount to what they need to be spiritually.
  • Muddy red:
  • Anger or someone who is being bullied.

Imagine Derek catching Stiles with his hand in the cookie jar, grabbing a handful of cookies with even more in his mouth. Stiles freezes like an animal in headlights and Derek scolds him. Lacking an excuse, Stiles shouts, “I’m pregnant,” and runs off with the jar.

Any other day, Derek wouldn’t have given it a second thought, but taking into consideration a full moon has just passed and ‘conveniently’ was in time with Derek’s heat, Derek starts to worry that it might be true.

In classic Stiles form, it’s not; it was just the first response he had, but because he couldn’t think of anything better he has to put up with a very panicked Derek who’s worried he’s not going to be a good father, crying about how he wants kids but not so soon, etc. And soon those cookies disappear from Derek’s stress eating.
