Someone on my dash got called out for whitewashing a character in her fanart. The thing is... the sketch was in black & white (with the exception of the eyes/hair), she simply hadn't drawn ANY skin colour. Like at that point it's obvious the anon was just looking for something to be offended by.
Some SJW goblin:
Um, sweaty, that's appropriating a Black(tm) hairstyle. Only black people wear braids, literally no other culture in all of history has worn braids except black people. Your hair is White(tm) and thin and brittle and can't handle being put in braids anyway. You'll probably be bald by next week because your hair literally cannot handle being tied back at all without falling out. Trust me I know your hair better than you do. :)))))
i saw a few people in the wentworth tag talking about/looking for this photo set from around the time he did the human stain, so here is what i think is the whole set. i’ve never seen the bottom two in color, so i’m not sure they exist except in black and white. enjoy!
so that post about the soulmate au where your life turns color when you meet and then black and white when one of them dies.
like…. supernatural where everything else is the same except for that.
sam literally has no memories of life being black and white. he’s known dean since he was born. and dean’s only black and white memories are from before sam was born.
so it’s like… the biggest shift and shock when dean’s world slowly fades to gray at cold oak. and the last color to leave is red, so the last color he sees is sam’s pink lips.
and then he knows after the deal that it worked because his world bursts into a shock of colors again. and sam would never need to know because he lost consciousness in a color world and woke up in a color world. he never would have known if it weren’t for jake’s big mouth.
and then…. sam finally experiences it… over a hundred times in mystery spot.
and so on…. and their colors shift and go away and come back so many times…
Bc it’s Taetae’s birthday today and i am fluff trash rn, enjoy!

Soulmate! AU where you are born unable to see colors except for black and white until you see your soulmate for the first time.
Summary: Shielded by a veil of black and white, meeting Taehyung brings color to your world.
As a child, when your mother would
tell you the story about how her world had brightened up when she first saw
your father always left you entranced. You always felt butterflies in your
stomach because you hoped that one day you too would be able to experience that
same feeling of finally seeing all the colors in the world because of a certain
special someone. Your mother had called it her Brightening, a moment when the
black and white veil that hung suspended over every human being’s eyes until
they met their soulmate fell from its place and suddenly the world would be a
spectrum of colors you could only imagine.
Your mother described the
experience in so much detail you could practically see the colors yourself, she had said the colors radiated off your father in hues and tones she had never
imagined were possible to see. You were so amazed to hear that there were
people out there who could actually see
colors, that once they met their other half they’d have the privilege of seeing
the world for the true beauty it really was.
spent years fantasizing about how your Brightening would happen, what colors
you might see, where would it be, at what time of day would it happen, and most
importantly what kind of significant other you would have. Would colors emanate
off him and dissolve the black and white veil in front of your eyes just like
your mother had described? You yearned for the moment when this would happen.
So much so that every day you prepared yourself and yet every day you were
time went on and you met no one that caused the veil to lift, your heart grew
heavy and as you grew older and went off to college the belief you once had that
one day you would meet your soulmate and be Brightened began to fade and you
were left with the decision to be logical and forget your childish fantasies or
live on in hopes that your dreams would one day come true.
Having to deal with rude stares and whispers about ‘Prescott and his little friend’ in the streets when you’re holding hands. He’s had to pull you off of a few people before.
Disapproval from Victoria when you two first meet, but by the end of the three of you hanging out, she turns to you and says, “You know? You’re not that bad.”
Once you’ve finally been dating for a month, you’re both pretty used to each others very different friends and hobbies. He’s not so rude to Warren anymore and although the two of them share snide comments every now and then and you get along well with Victoria and Hayden.
All of his pictures black and white except for the ones he takes of you. Unless you’re posed for it.
Getting calls from him in the early morning and sneaking into his dorm to help him during his panic attacks.
Dinner with the Prescotts. The house is big and cold and you’re a lot more nervous than your usually cool and confident self. He can tell you are so he holds your hand. Sean Prescott is really funny and charismatic.
But you know exactly how he treats Nathan and it doesn’t make you like him any more.
Him letting you in on and how you’re the first person not to use him. It’s the first time he hints at his involvement with Jefferson and it throws you off. It takes a long while of questioning both him, Sean and doing your own bit of investigating but when you find out you punch Jefferson square in the face.
He has no idea why and you won’t tell.
So when you’re about to get expelled Nathan bursts in like some kind of superhero from a movie, hair dishevelled slightly, and pulls all the strings he can to make sure you get off lightly.
He holds you close and he’s so happy that you’ve only been suspended for a week, but he’s also very mad at you, demanding why you did it.
When you tell Nathan you know he tries to push you away. He expects you to call the police.
Instead you encourage him to get out of what is happening - start to ignore Jefferson - maybe tell Max what he knows.
He takes your advice.
And because of that, he doesn’t die.
The night that Jefferson is arrested you two sit together in his room and you just hold him and he cries and cries and cries. When he finally stops you two watch a movie together and he falls asleep in your arms.
He’s the big spoon, though.
You support him through the entire Rachel Amber trial and the lead up to it. Max stands up for him in the witness box for trying to tell somebody what was going on (much to Chloe’s dismay. “Max, he killed her!” “No, Chloe, Jefferson did and you know it.”)
You’re both the talk of the town, but people begin to respect him more, and you notice that he notices because he seems a lot happier.
Because he let you put a flower crown on his head as a joke and he didn’t stop you taking a picture.
Because whenever he hugged you from behind he would whisper in your ear ‘I love you.’
Because now he wasn’t carrying a huge burden around and it was because of you he has admitted to several interviewers for the papers that you are his hero.
Because three months after Jefferson is founded guilty, he gets down on one knee and pops the big question.
It’s soon, but he promises you that you guys can wait to get married.
