Alaric Imagine: Road Trip
So this may not be my best imagine but it’s still pretty decent I think. And as promised it’s longer than the last! Up next I have a Klaus imagine that will be out within the next 2 days. Also: Slight Smut Warning. There is one smutty scene in this imagine but its kinda short and not too graphic, but still read with caution if you’re not into that. As always, thanks for reading Xx ceecee
I entered the Salvatore boarding house knowing it was almost never locked anyways and was met with an eerie silence. I was slightly pissed off since Stefan and I had planned on meeting each other at the coffee shop and he never showed up. After an hour of waiting and 3 phone calls later I gave up and decided to go and see if he was home.
At first glance it seemed no one was home but then I heard a thump come from upstairs. I followed the noise up into a room I believe to be Stefan’s although I’d never actually been in it before. I knocked before entering only to find Stefan, Damon, and Alaric in deep discussion.
“What’s going on here?” I asked curiously.
The trio turned their attention to me and Stefan’s expression changed as he looks like he remembered he was supposed to meet me. He looked pretty guilty as he stepped forward.
“Oh my god, Y/N, I’m so sorry.” Stefan said, his voice was tired like he hadn’t slept much although as a vampire his features didn’t show anything wrong.
“It’s fine, but what is going on here?” I repeated myself. They exchanged glances before inviting me in, shutting the door closed behind me.
Stefan gave me a serious look as he began to tell me. “Look, you can’t tell anyone about this okay? Not Elena, not Bonnie, not Caroline-”
“Especially not Caroline.” Damon interrupted.
“The less people that know the better.” Alaric finished.
“Okay fine so what are you guys up to?” I pressed.
“We have news on Katherine.” Alaric said. At the mention of her name my eyes widened. He took my silence as an invitation to continue. “But we’ve not had much luck on breaking all of it down , however, there’s a grimoire that can help us at Isobel’s old office at Duke.”
“Whoa, whoa, wait. Isobel - you’re dead ex-wife turned vampire who’s also Elena’s biological mother - Isobel?”
“Yes, that one.”
“Damn.” I was completely shocked. We hadn’t seen her since her (very dramatic) disappearance when she exposed Damon’s love for Elena. “Why does she have it?”
“We don’t know why, but we know it’s there so we’re sending Ric to go retrieve it for us.” Damon said with his annoying smirk. Alaric gave him an irritated glance but ignored him. Ah, true friendship. No one does it worse than Damon Salvatore.
“Let me go with you.” I directed my words to Alaric.
“Um, no.” Stefan chimed in.
“Because we need you to stay here, if both of you go it’ll atract the others attention. We have to keep this on the down low.”
I clenched my jaw. Why is it such a big deal if they find out anyways? Their going to figure it out eventually, they always do. Plus, Stefan owes me for ditching our plans and not even bothering to let me know. I wasted a whole hour of my valuable time waiting for him to show up.
“They won’t find out.” I promised. Stefan and Alaric shared a quick glance at each other. “Please, I need to get out of this crazy town for a while anyways.”
Stefan sighed and nodded in agreement. I smiled at my persuasion abilities. We packed Ric’s car with all of his hunting equiptment and I brought some snacks and CD’s for the long ride. As soon as we got in the car I made myself comfortable, popping open a bag of potato chips and placing my feet on the dash.
“Want one?” I offered, my mouth still full.
Ric laughed and shook his head. “Nah, I’m good.”
I shrugged and leaned forward to turn the radio up. “Suit yourself.” The lyrics to ‘You’re Gonna Go Far Kid’ blew through the speakers and I winced. “Yuck, we’re not listening to The Offspring.” I flipped through the channels looking for a compromise.
“Fine, but no Taylor Swift or One Direction.” I rolled my eyes and leaned back in my seat as a Paramore song began to play.
“I think you mistake me for one of your students, Ric.” I smirked.
He looked over at me and smiled. It wasn’t often we got to spend time with just the two of us. He was a teacher and I had a full time office job, and with his hobby of vampire hunting and our constant run ins with deadly scenarios it basically ate up any free time.
I’ve always liked Ric but I kind of just stay back because I have the feeling he’s into Jenna Gilbert and not me. I wouldn’t blame him for liking a girl who’s totally normal and not involved in all this vampire crap. After Isobel, I can only imagine how much hurt he feels towards the supernatural. I’m honestly surprised he was willing to go back to her office at Duke and dig through her old stuff, talk about painful memories.
Curently we were in the middle of nowhere on a freeway between miles of crops. We made lots of small talk, avoiding talking about elephant in the room: Isobel. I wasn’t sure if he would be comfortable talking about her to me or if he doesn’t want to discuss it at all. I decided to press in a little bit.
“So how are you feeling about this whole Katherine/Isobel thing?” I said trying a little too hard to sound casual. “Do you think they’re in contact?”
He sighed. “I wouldn’t doubt it. Isobel has had her eyes on Katherine for a while and it was only a matter of time before Katherine found use in her in return.”
I nodded even though he wasn’t looking at me. “Are you doing alright?”
“You can be honest with me, Alaric. There’s not a whole lot of people we can be completely honest with so take advantage of this moment. Tell me what’s on your mind.”
He looked over at me, our eyes meeting for a moment before his attention was back on the road.
“It’s tough. I really did love Isobel more than anyone or anything in the world and now I absolutely hate her. She’s a completely different person.”
“She died. The Isobel you married and loved died literally, not metaphorically. She isnt even a person she’s a vampire now.”
“But she could have still been with me. She still had a choice. Stefan is still like a human. Why couldn’t Isobel do the same as him?”
I looked over at his profile. His eyes shown hurt and pain, his expression distressed and exhausted. He deserves someone so much better than Isobel. How could she have done this to him?
“I’m really sorry about her.” I said focusing my eyes on the rode in front of us. The car was completely silent for the next few minutes, the air heavy with intensity.
Alaric was the one to finally break the silence. “Why did you want to come with me, Y/N?”
“I knew this trip would be hard on you and…” My voice trailed off. He looked at me with raised eyebrows waiting for me to continue. “And, I like you.”
“I like you too” He said it so casually that I almost thought I heard him wrong.
“What? Why did you never tell me?” I didn’t know how to feel.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He shot back with a smug look on his face. Suddenly he pulled the car of to the side of the rode.
“What are you doing?” I asked as he put the car in park. He unbuckled his seat and reached over the middle console to roughly kiss me. I instantly kissed back and fumbled with the seat buckle to get it undone. Once I was released from the restraint I pushed him back to his seat and moved to straddle him, lifting my skirt up to my waist, our tongues still dancing in each others mouths. I was moaning uncontrolably and could feel Alaric harden while I grinded down on him.
When he couldn’t take me grinding on him anymore he hurriedly unzipped his jeans and shoved them down his legs as far as he could manage in our current position. In too much of a rush to actually pull my panties off he just pushed them off to the side. I lower myself down on him, throwing my head back in pleasure as Ric’s hands fall to my waist helping to guide me down on him hard and fast.
My moans are engulfed in Ric’s mouth when he pecks my lips with his and trails a path down my neck to my shoulder. I dig my fingernails deep into his shoulders and we both know neither of us will last much longer. His hips are thrusting up to meet my movements and my clit brushing against his torso as he quickens the pace, working to get me off.
His grunts are more audible and his head lolls back on the seat. My head rolls forward to the crook of his neck as he pushes me over the edge, my walls clenching around him sending him into his own release. I pull off him, panting heavily and fall back to my own seat. He turns the car back on only to turn the air conditioner up so to blow cold air on our sweaty bodies.
“I always thought you liked Jenna?” I said more as a statment than a question, and more to myself than to him.
“Well of course I like Jenna but she’s no you.” He said grinning cheekily at me. I smiled in return.
“We better keep going or Damon’s going to come after us for taking so long.” I note lightly.
Alaric nodded and rebuckled himself, taking the car out of park and pulling back onto the empty road. “I should probably ask you out on a date now, huh?” he spoke with casuality again.
“That would be nice.” I smirked to myself.
“Alright then, what do you say Y/N? Will you go on a no-vampires-allowed dinner date with me tonight?”
I laughed. “I thought you’d never ask.”
