McCree was…

He was…

Well, he was definitely not panicking, that was what he was not doing, because Jesse McCree was one cool customer that could take things as they came and laugh it off.  He’d survived the foster care system and his weird adopted father and his overly intense adopted sister.  He’d survived losing his damn arm, alright, and everything that went down that made it necessary to bundle a young Jesse up and whisk him away to the houses of strangers rather than leave him at home.  And by the end, he’d survived everyone that had thought they could make judgment calls about him without even trying to get to know him, every teacher that had shaken their head and decided some idiots couldn’t be helped, every classmate that had turned their nose up at his accent – a vestigial limb left over from a childhood in the south – or his manner of dress or his sense of humour.  After all, it hadn’t been as bad as all that.  He’d wound up with a great family (he’d die for Gabe and Sombra), and plenty of friends.  He’d learnt to let people go.  Some people just would never see past his shaggy hair or his loud mouth or the cowboy hat he refused to “grow out of”.  Fuck ‘em, that’s what Jesse had learnt.  Shrug your shoulders, turn your back, and go find people that matter.  There had been a time when he couldn’t do that.  There was a time when he’d been living back with his birth family that every disappointed look the teacher had sent him when he’d acted out in class had been like a slap and every report card returned home had been… well, not just like a slap.  There’d been a time when he’d hated everything about Gabriel Reyes, but mostly the fact that he was forcing him to confront a brand new school with people that stared and laughed and huddled among themselves in the cliques they’d formed years back, no space for a new, pushy, desperately loud kid.

Then things had changed.  Then he’d made friends, real friends, and found out what people could be like – what he could be like.  And suddenly the people turning their nose up didn’t matter any more.

R-ight.

And so that was why, as Jesse McCree sat in school library across from Hanzo Shimada, he definitely was not panicking at all.

Even if Hanzo Shimada was hot as sin, with long, dark hair cascading down his back, the most intense eyes Jesse has ever seen, and holy fuck those biceps.

The guy did archery apparently.  Archery. Who the fuck did archery unless they were preparing to run off in some goddamn fantasy movie?  Jesse had never even really given archery much thought as a thing people did – it only really existed in historical documentaries and the Olympics – but now when it was nearly thirty degrees outside and Hanzo Shimada was sitting two feet away from him in a tank top, Jesse was really, really thinking about archery.  And how it must take a lot of strength to constantly be drawing and holding a tense bowstring if you wanted to aim with any degree of accuracy.  And how that sort of strength made it look like your arms and shoulders had been carved from fucking marble.  Especially when one of said statuesque arms had a sleeve of vibrant, blue tattoos running all the way down it.  Jesse could get lost in a bicep like that, with or without blue dragons staring back at him, but the dragons definitely didn’t hurt.

The thing was though, it wasn’t just that.  Jesse had met hot kids before that were out of his league and it generally didn’t really trouble him.  Whatever, laugh it off, move on.  No, of course it had to be more complicated than that.  When Jesse had first entered this class he’d wound his way through the filling seats until he’d found himself sitting next to a boy whose name he would learn was Hanzo.  Jesse had then immediately had his smile met by a flat stare, and he’d figured, oh well, here was an uninteresting asshole.  A hot one, maybe, but an asshole all the same.  It hadn’t seemed important at the time because he’d already turned to the person on his other side – a girl named Angela who apparently wanted to be a doctor (or a researcher…? Something like that, which involved more of the human body than Jesse wanted to think aobut).  She was friendly and laughed easily.

Everything would have been so much easier if Hanzo had just stayed an asshole. The guy was quiet, sure, but Jesse sat elbow-to-elbow with him three times a week and he slowly began to realize that underneath the prickly, don’t-look-at-me-don’t-speak-to-me aura the guy projected, there was something far sweeter down there.  The guy chuckled at every single one of the prof’s bad jokes and Dr Winston had a lot of them, and they were always nonchalantly that most of the class didn’t realize they’d happened… heck, Jesse usually didn’t realize they’d happened until he heard a soft snort next to him.

(And yes, it was a snort. Absolutely and completely undignified and it made Jesse stare at Hanzo until he’d been glared back into submission by the man, who’d seemed flustered that someone had heard him.  How do you tell a guy that may or may not hate your guts just for existed that you thought his silly snort-laugh was cute?  The answer was you did not do that and focused back on your own notes if you value your life.)

As for Hanzo’s notes, well, they were painfully neat and precise.  But amid the sharp ballpoint and careful diagrams, Hanzo Shimada apparently had a habit of making snide details about the lessons in the margins (Jesse knew this because it was a two hour long lecture and sometimes watching your neighbour writes notes out of the corner of your eye was better than trying to listen to a prof drone on at the front of the class for another hour and a half).  It made Jesse start fantasizing about taking out his own pen and writing a little comment in the corner of Hanzo’s page.  Made him think about getting into some sort of stupid note-passing conversation with him like they were eight year olds rather than college kids.  Made him think about getting to have all those weird, witty little comments directed at him, and then seeing where the conversation took them.  (And, occasionally, it made him think about continuing that conversation out of class, possibly down towards a pub he knew for a chat and maybe, oh just maybe, a date.)

Jesse, however, did not dare try – to write the note, that is, entertaining anything else would have been madness.  Hanzo looked like the sort of person that might try to tear your head off if you messed up his notebooks.

Then, just to top it all off, during their lecture breaks, Hanzo often got calls from what Jesse could only assume was a brother.  And, against every expectation, Hanzo Shimada was sweet. Well, still a bit of a deadpan asshole, but no one who’s a hundred percent bad uses his ten minutes of free time to talk with his brother every single day.

“Don’t look at me, I am not playing wing-man for you in a class I need to ace if I wanna keep my GPA up,” Angela had said.  Jesse had pouted at that – he hadn’t even gotten a chance to ask her, had just glanced at her with maybe a slightly-too-hopeful gleam in his eye during one of the breaks Hanzo had left the room to talk with his brother.

And then the fateful day of the class project had arrived.  Winston had told them just to group up with someone sitting beside them rather than running piecemeal through the class.  Jesse had, of course, turned to Angela only to find she had turned around in her seat and was quickly making plans to team up with a girl sitting behind them named Mei.

Frantically Jesse had spun around, but everyone else was making groups with the people to their left or right who they had been getting to know since day one.  With Angela breaking the system, that meant he had only one person left sitting next to him.

Hanzo Shimada was watching him with an unimpressed face and an eye brow raised.

Traitor, he mouthed at Angela.

You’re welcome, mouthed Angela, the Stealth Wing-man.

And so here Jesse was, sitting in the library with someone who presumably hated his guts and thought he was – what, loud? Obnoxious? Lame? – but who Jesse still pathetically, wistfully wanted to impress.  Life, sometimes, was enormous unfair.  At this point Hanzo hadn’t even given Jesse the time of day, he’d been sitting at one of the study tables since before Jesse had arrived, nose an inch from his phone as he texted someone.  Presumably someone cooler than Jesse McCree.

Jesse wanted to groan.  Or shove his pencil in his eye just so he could get out of this project.  Instead he mechanically started pulling out his books and waited for Hanzo to be ready to start on the project with him.

-

Hanzo Shimada:

WELL??

Obnoxious Little Brother:
oy give me a sec some of us are still in class and don’t want our phone to be taken away
again
besides i’m trying to tell zen about how i, the lowly highschooler, am helping my university-bound brother pick up boys

Hanzo Shimada:
Don’t you DARE

Obnoxious Little Brother:
too late
he wishes you luck by the way and says he has complete faith in you
goes to show which one of us  knows you better eh? not him!

Hanzo scowled down at his phone before he gaze flickered briefly up to the person who had sat across from him.  He’d been painfully aware of Jesse McCree since McCree had arrived in the library and pulled back the chair with a scrape that had made the hairs on the back of Hanzo’s neck stand on end.  So far McCree had made no acknowledgment that there was another person at this table, another person he was going to be forced to work along side for the next two weeks.

Hanzo didn’t know whether Zenyatta had faith in him or if Genji had just been trying to wind him up, but Hanzo certainly did not have faith in himself, not about this.  He had never been good at… people. He made, in Genji’s words, “seriously just the worst first impressions.  Like wow.  So bad,” which just wasn’t fair because when it came to a professional setting, when it was about work or networking, he was fine.  He could move effortlessly through the crowds, introduce himself, chat, plan, negotiate.  He’d been dogging his father’s footsteps since it had been decided he would one day take over the family business and he was a devoted student.  But as soon as it was real people in real life Hanzo may as well be carved out of wood; somehow he always managed to put his foot in his mouth.  Which was why he had fallen so low as to turn to his baby brother for advice, because at least Genji, if nothing else could be said about him, was good with people.

Too good with people, if you asked their father.  Genji was a social butterfly who wasn’t so much a butterfly as a housefly, flitting about around everywhere and getting where at lot of people would probably wish he wasn’t and really not caring who he chatted with or what they thought about him.

Obnoxious Little Brother:
look, just don’t do the Hanzo Special and you should be fine

Hanzo Shimada:
Excuse me??

Obnoxious Little Brother:
u kno, your patented Grunt & Growl technique
don’t do that and assume other people can actually understand you bc they can’t

Hanzo wanted to snap back that he did not grunt or growl, thank you, he was a mature adult unlike Genji, but he found his fingers hesitating on the keys.  Frantically he scanned his memory to figure out if he had grunted or growled at Jesse McCree.

God help him he probably had.  He had almost certainly stared stupidly at him.

McCree… glowed, though, and Hanzo wasn’t sure what to do with that.  He spoke so easily.  All it had taken was one glance from McCree on the first day of class for him to apparently decide that Hanzo was a lost cause.  Before Hanzo had managed to scrounge up a single coherent, reasonable thing to say to the sunshine bright, smiling boy who’d sat down next to him, said boy had turned his attentions to the much more receptive form of Angela Ziegler, the girl sitting to his right.

McCree was loud and raucous and ridiculous and he wore the stupidest hat Hanzo had ever seen but god help him he wanted to see McCree smile at him, rather than catch glimpse of it from the corner of his eye while he laughed with someone else.  He wanted to have McCree attention at some point other than when he’d made a fool of himself with his ugly laugh or by seeing McCree stare judgmentally at his notes.

Obnoxious Little Brother:
at the risk of sounding too much like a disney movie have you tried just…. being yourself???
(this was zen’s suggestion btw i’m personally pretty sure being someone other than yourself would be a step in the right direction but you never know maybe disney knows whats up)

Hanzo thought about what McCree had looked like when they had been forced to choose partners.  He had wanted to be anywhere than with Hanzo. The look he had shot Ziegler when she had found a different partner… the helpless, defeated look when he had accepted that the only person nearby not taken was Hanzo.

No, being himself was definitely not going to help him here.

Hanzo Shimada:
Never mind I’ll figure it out

What he was going to do was pretend that Jesse McCree was just some other random student, keep his head down, get this project done with the least amount of fuss, and move on to his next set of class next semester and hopefully forget that McCree existed.

“Shall we get started?” he asked briskly, pocketing his phone and pulling out his own book.

McCree’s face was despondent and it sat like a stone in Hanzo’s gut.  He would rather be anywhere than here.

“Might as well,” said McCree.

I am livid.

I wasn’t going to speak about the whole PewDiePie issue, but now that it’s been confirmed that Scare PewDiePie Season 2 is canceled, something that literally HUNDREDS of people worked on, I have to say something. Not just because I’m sad about not getting to watch it, but the reasoning behind it.

I am so sick of the media targeting Felix because he’s a public figure. I believe partly that it’s because of jealousy. The media can’t stand that Felix is influencing the world, just because he’s a YouTuber, so they strive to find every single freaking detail they can to pinpoint anything that could be used against him (hey, he’s still getting watch time from them so congrats media, you played yourself).

Do you know just how much work goes into making a television show? They’re not kidding when they say it takes blood, sweat and tears. I went to a production camp one time, and it took two full days to get only a couple of scenes filmed, edited, and ready to release. Not to mention the mutitude of people that were a part of the whole show. But this isn’t about me. Felix, Jack, and the other YouTubers took time out of their lives to, as usual, make the viewers happy that they could be a part of an amazing project. And now that it’s gone, taken, stolen from everyone, both viewer and creator are left with nothing but the feeling that they wasted time and money just to be let down by the one site that actually gave them that entertainment.

And, finally, to Disney and YouTube, I will now and forever stand with PewDiePie. I believe that the world needs to wake up and stop being butthurt over every little thing that may inconvenience them. Yeah, the Fiverr incident was a little too far, We all are entitled to our own opinion, and therefore have the freedom to make whatever jokes we want. Did the joke really hurt anyone? Did it incite some terrorist act, or cause a mass suicide? NO. People were offended for maybe a minute over their time, and then clicked away from the video. Did Disney HAVE to cut ties with Felix, and YouTube cancel Scare PewDiePie? NO. I believe they did it to save face instead of thinking about the work that was put into the show.

Oh, by the way, Disney, did you forget about this?

YOU’RE NO BETTER.

fandoms-stoll-my-life  asked:

Can you do the RFA + V with an MC who CANNOT sleep in a house alone. Like she's paranoid about someone breaking in, watching her in her sleep, etc. So by the party she's sleep deprived and close to passing out.

Wow look at cat mom actually doing stuff!! Much productive such write!! Sorry for not being active lately due to some personal matters and overall crappy health, but I promise to try my best from now on.

Onto your request: Yikes I want to wrap this MC in a blanket and put her to sleep like omg who gives a damn about this party lol. Anyways, here you go, love! I ignored everything that happened in each party because that would’ve changed… well, your entire request, especially in certain routes. Just think of it as a neutral party? Taking Jaehee’s route as an example.

- Admin Cat Mom.

Yoosung

  • the moment is perfect and this baby boy is more than ready to become a Manly Man and give you that well-deserved kiss you both have been waiting for.
  • and he’s going for it, he wraps his arms around you and leans in for a kiss, but right before closing his eyes he notices how drained you look.
  • the bags under your eyes can be seen from space oh dear god.
  • of course the stupid kiss doesn’t matter anymore.
  • and he beats himself up for not noticing it before?
  • immediately starts interrogating you.
  • sweetie you’re not helping let poor MC at least process the questions.
  • instead of answering any of them, you mumble something unintelligible and hold tightly to his arms.
  • you got like two hours of sleep last night, your eyelids are heavy and your whole body feels like jelly so you’re thankful for the extra support.
  • but while your busy letting yourself go in his arms, he straight up freaks out because—are you passing out right now, MC?
  • oh god oH GOD PLEASE DON’T.
  • WHAT DOES A MAN HAVE TO DO HERE TO GET A CHAIR FOR HIS LADY
  • once he takes you somewhere quiet, gets you a chair, and makes certain you’re somewhat more stable, he squats down in front of you and holds your hand, stroking it softly as he listens to what’s been troubling you.
  • if only he would’ve known sooner…
  • “I’m so sorry you had to go through that by yourself, MC.”
  • you can see true anguish in every corner of his face.
  • after a brief discussion with the rest of RFA, he offers to take you home and promises to stay with you until you feel better.
  • and even though he doesn’t say this out loud, he would gladly, ahem, sleep right next to you if it’ll make you feel safe and sound.

Zen

  • this place is so crowded and noisy and holY SHIT you look like you’re dying, MC, what the hell happened?
  • he’s eavesdropping on you and it’s quite evident you’re trying your best to make conversation with guests but you’re so disconnected from everything, stuttering and fidgeting and spacing out.
  • so he approaches you and carefully places a hand on your shoulder to help you out a little and pull you back to earth.
  • and… you startle at his touch and screech, he screeches as well and backs up, everybody goes quiet, things get awkward, suddenly the concept of spontaneous combustion sounds nice and fitting.
  • in order to avoid making things worse, though, he smiles for the guests, suggests them to try the food and takes you somewhere less crowded.
  • it’s not really a pleasant talk because you feel so dizzy and you’re afraid he may start nagging you for not getting enough sleep.
  • yet not surprisingly enough, he gets mad at everyone but you.
  • he’s mad at seven and v for leaving you all alone in someone else’s apartment and refusing to reveal your location
  • what was the point of that anyway?
  • he’s also mad at himself for not being there for you.
  • and while he rattles on and on about RFA’s irresponsible and careless members, your legs start feeling heavy and your vision gets blurry.
  • whoops, there goes MC who is now all passed out on the floor.
  • OH SHIT.
  • nope nope nope he’s getting you out of there rIGHT NOW.
  • not a chance he’s letting you stay at the party, you need a good ol’ beauty sleep to recharge and get better.

Jaehee

  • she’s been in your position more times than she can count.
  • it’s pretty obvious she recognizes all the signs of a sleep deprived individual.
  • and she’s honestly the sweetest and most caring of them all?
  • like honey, you’ve done more than enough for this huge success of a party, you’re even trying to socialize and interact with guests while struggling to stand and walk.
  • everything’s been taken care of and the guys are handling the party just fine, you don’t need to worry and you’re going home right. now.
  • because having you wander around while close to passing out could do more harm than you leaving early.
  • when she mentions driving you somewhere nearby rika’s apartment so you can get some sleep, your face immediately drops.
  • oh…?
  • she’s quick to pick up your reaction and asks for an explanation.
  • after you provide her one, she deadpan nods and grabs you by the arm.
  • okay then it’s settled, she has no choice but to take you to her place.
  • when you both arrive, she puts you to bed and offers you a warm cup of tea to help you relax before heading out.
  • except she barely makes it two inches far from her bed because there’s something desperately pulling her sleeve.
  • she hesitates for a moment and urges you that you’re safe here, there are no bomb threats or possible intruders or hackers slash kidnappers waiting for the right time to take you away.
  • plus they’re expecting her at the party.
  • but… you’re persistent and you seem genuinely distressed thus she can’t just go on with her day knowing you’re feeling unsafe.
  • so she lies down next to you and lets you rest your head on her chest, and she promises to stay by your side until you wake up.
  • her heart is pounding like crazy and her cheeks are bright red, poor thing may explode at any given second but it’s okay it’s all good, it feels nice having you this close.
  • you soon fall asleep together and it’s the cutest thing.

Jumin

  • as soon as he arrives, he eagerly starts looking for you.
  • an alluring being among the crowd he simply cannot wait to meet, where can they be? you can tell how anxious he is just by looking at his left cuff.
  • he’s fidgeting with it nonstop.
  • he asks about your whereabouts to every RFA member and guest he encounters without any luck.
  • until he bumps into seven and pops out the same question yet again.
  • “there,” he answers while pointing at his back.
  • five seconds later you crash into him, both of you losing balance for a moment.
  • “are you drunk, MC?”
  • though harsh and quite direct, he tries to be discreet about it.
  • and in his defense, you do look a bit drunk and disoriented.
  • this isn’t how he imagined getting to meet you.
  • still, he’s a gentleman resolved to help you avoid embarrassment and discomfort, and instead of dwelling on the reasons behind your current state right there, he escorts you outside to have a talk.
  • what? what do you mean you’ve barely slept in the past two weeks?
  • he refrains from lecturing you because 1) you look like you could faint at any minute and 2) he doesn’t want to upset someone who’s already upset enough, it’d be no help.
  • “you should’ve called, why didn’t you? I would’ve kept you company.”
  • you know it’s serious when executive director jumin han is willing to sacrifice his sleep and tight schedule just to make sure you’re having a good night’s sleep.
  • but since “it’s no use crying over spilled milk” his words and he has zero fucks to give, he suggests fleeing from the party.
  • no worries he ends up calling jaehee to let her know you’re feeling unwell.
  • after getting into his car, you fall asleep on his shoulder.
  • he stays still and watches you sleep in silence, a cute, barely noticeable smile across his face.

Seven

  • oh noes.
  • he’s seen that “do i want death or am i already dead who the hell knows at this point” look you’re pulling off.
  • where, you may be wondering? oh, that’s right, in the fucking mirror every goddamn night for the past fifteen years of his life.
  • you look like a zombie wandering around the room, you’re bumping into people and making a mess your way.
  • you haven’t even realized there’s a wine stain on your pretty clothes.
  • YOU. NEED. HELP.
  • otherwise, he’s afraid you’ll pass out cold and the last thing you need right now is a concussion, so he comes up to you and greets you with one of his dumb jokes in order to lift your spirit.
  • it kinda works but you’re still looking… well, dead, and moody.
  • a moody zombie? yeah, that’s about it.
  • refusing to give up on you just yet, he grabs your hand and promises to stay by your side throughout the whole night so you can lean on him, literally, whenever you feel like you’re about to faint.
  • what was that? do you want to leave early instead? that’s cool too, jaehee will take care of everything don’t you worry, my brave soldier.
  • defender of justice seven zero seven’s got your back!!
  • you eventually leave the party together but you don’t go very far, instead, you lay down on a park nearby to contemplate the sky.
  • he’s telling you stories about the clouds idly passing by when he hears a sweet little snore.
  • it’s you!! you’ve fallen asleep on his chest, aw.
  • all the blood in his system gathers on his cheeks and he is now all red, you can’t tell his hair apart from his face.
  • and in order to keep you warm and well protected, he embraces you with both arms and kisses your head.
  • later on he falls asleep too because he’s just as sleep deprived as you.

V

  • surprise surprise! much to everyone’s expectations, lovely boy has decided to show up to the party!
  • and he’s so excited to meet you after hearing so many positive things about you and how you’ve put every ounce of energy into RFA’s party.
  • he needs to thank you properly!!
  • spotting you amidst the guests isn’t really hard as there’s a bunch of people gathered in the center of the room making commotion.
  • apparently, someone has fainted? he can hear yoosung screaming and asking people to make some room, zen is yelling something about CPR, and jaehee is rushing to the crowd while dialing what it seems to be 119.
  • what in the world…?
  • determined to do some damage control, he hurries to reach jaehee and tries to find out what the hell is going on.
  • “it appears MC has passed out and we don’t know the reason.”
  • no need to say more.
  • he kindly but firmly asks people to stay back so that you can get some air, and he also sends yoosung to get you a chair to sit on.
  • zen is in charge of bringing you a glass of water because boy needs to calm the eff down.
  • five minutes later he manages to sit you upright in a chair, away from the crowd and where you can get some fresh air.
  • six pairs of concerned eyes are piercing right through you while you try to regain consciousness, only one of them hidden behind sunglasses.
  • you may not see those eyes clearly, but they carry the most guilt out of all of them.
  • in his usual soft caring voice, he does an attempt to ask you what’s wrong, and as he gets the answer he was expecting, he frowns and strokes your hair.
  • “why didn’t you say anything? we could’ve helped you.”
  • were it not for the mess he’s sunken in thanks to rika, he would’ve gone to the apartment himself to make sure you were getting some sleep.

“This isn’t a fairy tale, Mr. Winchester,” Doctor Novak stated matter-of-factly. “Y/N suffered extensive internal damage. I can’t tell you long it will take because I don’t know how long it will take.”

Standing next to Dean’s hospital bed, John had his arms crossed and a scowl on his brow. “I don’t expect immediate results, doc. But there’s gotta be something that can be done.”

James Novak crossed the room and turned on the lights of the x-ray panels on the wall. He opened a large manilla folder and pressed the film up until it got stuck. He ran a finger along the outline of Y/N’s skull. “When Y/N got thrown from the bike, she hit her head. Now, the helmet saved her life, but it also did some damage,” he cleared his throat before continuing. “Along with a severe concussion, the impact resulted in a hematoma. In layman’s terms, clotting of blood outside the blood vessels.”

Mary, who was holding her son’s hand, asked, “Is it serious?”

Doctor Novak nodded. “It can be very serious if a hematoma occurs inside the brain. Unfortunately, that is what occurred. The clotting can cause pressure to build inside the skull, which is a factor into why she lost consciousness. Hopefully that won’t last too long. We went in and drained what we could.”

“What else?” Dean rasped, his throat raw from having a breathing tube removed earlier that morning.

Another piece of film was slapped up. “There was a lot of scar tissue from what had been repaired 3 years ago. This time, she was stabbed more than once. Add in the internal damage from the accident and the loss of blood, Y/N is looking at a rough recovery.”

There was a collective heavy sigh between the Winchesters as Dean pushed his head into the mountain of thin pillows.

“Thank you,” John murmured and held out his hand for the doctor.

James’ lips pressed into a thin line as he shook John’s hand. “Y/N was on a lot of my cases over the past year; she’s an amazing person. I promise that I’ll do everything in my power not to lose her.”

He went to leave the room, but stopped suddenly and rummaged in a pocket of his crisp, tan jacket. “I almost forgot,” he whispered.

Mary held out her hand when James approached and extended a fist. The ring she had given Y/N the other day fell softly into her palm. She choked on a sob and almost crumbled under the weight of John’s hand on her shoulder.

“You’ll get that back to her, Mare,” John promised, his own voice tremulous with emotion.

okay so i have a request, but i was hoping you could get creative with it... so i wanted a fic where the reader and josh gradually start to get distant because of tour life and everything, and it just shows overtime them getting further and further apart, but then end up happy in the end?? hope this makes sense :)

JOSH DUN FIC

There’s something comforting about an unmade bed. An unorganized pile of crumbled covers and dipped pillows, pulled together so the sleepers’ faces can be very close to each other. Your favorites are all the beds you and Josh slept in.  It always took you days to make the sheets up after Josh had left; in some way, seeing the remains of what he had slept in, made it almost feel like he was still there. Maybe just taking a shower, having just gotten up. You inhale his scent from his pillow and runs your hand softly down the blanket. It’s not warm anymore, no one’s slept in it for days now.

The dial tone seems to go on forever until the call is finally picked up.

“Hi babe,” Josh sounds cheerful, and a little louder than normal. “What’s up?”

You can hear loud voices and glasses clinking on the background, mixed with vague hints of a booming bass. “Nothing, just wanted to hear your voice,” you clear your throat. “What are you up to?”

“Going wild on a Friday,” Josh chuckles, “hanging with the guys, we’ll probably head out in a bit. Mark’s running late, just waiting on him.”

You’re looking at your shared closet in the Columbus house, sitting on the floor in the middle of piles of clothes you just don’t seem to be able to take care of.  You stare at the clock, trying to calculate what time it was in Amsterdam.

You smile a little, picking at the strings of your hoodie. “Glad you’re having a good time.”

“Would be better if you were here. I think you owe me an explicit run-through of what you’re wearing right now, babe.” The smirk in Josh’s voice is audible.

You chuckle. “The hoodie you got me from the ice cream shop.”

“The one with the cow on the front?  Sexy,” Josh mocks. “Isn’t it too warm for that?”

“No, it’s… I’m just sitting on the closet floor and I found this and it smelled like you, so I thought I’d just wear it for a bit.”

“Ugh,” Josh groans, “I wore it like ages ago. It’s probably smells awful, you should just wash it.”

You feel a twinge of embarrassment, “I, I don’t want to wash you off though.”

The background noise quiets down on the other end of the line, and you can hear the sound of a door opening and closing. “Babe, are you ok?”

“Yeah,” you sigh, “just, I don’t know.”

Josh hums comfortingly. “Are you doing anything fun today?”

“Probably just trying to get some homework done, don’t really want to leave the house.”

“Love, do you want me to come home?”

“You can’t really just up and fly across the world,” you say.

“You know I would if I could. I’m sure I can take up flying and ace it in like, max twenty minutes.”

“I’m sure you could,” you smile. You don’t think there’s anything Josh couldn’t do.

You stay silent for a while, listening to each other breathing. It makes you feel better, Josh knows. You guess it’s the same for Josh, too.

“Ok,” you say after a while. “Got my fix. Feeling better. Go and have fun.”

“And what are you going to do?” his voice is very soft.

“I’ll figure something out, maybe I’ll call my mom.”

“That’s more like it.”

“I’ll see you next week.”

“Love you.”

“Love you, Josh.”

“Do you ever wonder what it’s like for other people?” Josh muses as he’s flicking through the channels, sitting on the floor between your legs.  The two of you are savoring the final hours Josh had at home.  He headed out in the morning.

“Wonder what what’s like?” you continue to rub Josh’s neck.

“Like, relationships. Being normal. Me not traveling around all the time.”

You move your hand down a bit, starting to work on the knots on Josh’s shoulder. “Do you?” you ask, avoiding the question.

“I don’t know… Just, don’t you think it’s a bit sad?”

“What?”

“That only being together once in a while is normal for us.”

“I like the way we are,” you try to smile. “I think we’re good. And the traveling and stuff is just out of our control, I think as a couple we’re pretty normal, probably like better than most, just our situation is a bit…” you can’t figure out a good word.

“Abnormal,” Josh nods. “Yeah, you’re right. Just would be nice sometimes to not be quite so, far I guess.”

“Ooh,” you coo, “you want to hold my hand more, don’t you?”

“Shut up,” Josh laughs as he leans his head back in your lap. “That may be a little true.”

You smile as you cup his face in your hands and bend over to plant a kiss on his lips, “Me too.”

Josh beams. “You want to show me off,” he pokes your thigh, “I’m like a classy trophy wife.”

“Hardly, “ you say laughing, “though you do brush up well when you’re not embarrassing.”

Josh’s wide grin turns into a fake frown impressively quickly. “You think I’m embarrassing?”

“Of course you are, but I gotta hand it to you, even when you’re falling all over the place, no one does it quite as impressively as you do.”

“Compliment accepted,” Josh smiles as he pulls you into another kiss.

Josh sits down slowly, and starts to go through the pictures on your camera. One catches his attention and he shows it to you. “This would be nice to hang on the wall.”

It’s a picture of you two, from last Spring, when you’d gone hiking on a hot day and there was so much pollen in the air.  You remember your eyes had been streaming non-stop. You’re pictured from the side, faces turned to each other, you were laughing – your dimple is visible – at something Josh had said.  You both look happy and carefree.

You agree. A week later, when Josh is in Los Angeles, you put the wall art on the bedroom wall, opposite your bed.

“Can you put your phone away, please?” you ask irritated when you come to bed. “The light keeps me awake.”

Josh doesn’t say anything, but turns his phone off and puts it on the nightstand.

“You know I don’t like having phones in bed,” you sigh, trying to find a relaxing position.

“I know, sorry.” Josh is sincerely sorry. This isn’t the first time his inability to put his phone down is causing words.

“What were you even doing?”

“Just, looking at things,” Josh turns to his side, his back to you.

“What things?” you ask after a while.

“Just things. It doesn’t matter.”

You scoot closer, caressing your fingers along his lower back. “Hey.”

Josh turns to look over his shoulder, and even in the dark of their bedroom, he can make out your kind eyes looking at him. “Hey,” he whispers back and turns around to face you.

“Don’t look at that stuff, love. You know people are idiots. They don’t know anything.”

“I guess…,”he mumbles.

“No, babe, you know it’s not true. People say awful things and it says more about them than it does about you, or me, us, anything”

“I just-“ Josh sighs and bites his lip. “It’s like everyone is just expecting me to fail. Like they can’t wait for me to fuck up, so they can laugh at me. Like I’m a joke.”

“Babe,” you pull him closer, “they’re idiots. And you’re not a joke. And you won’t fail. You’re brilliant.”

“But what if I’m not,” Josh lets out a shaky breath.

“You’re amazing, Josh, I’ve seen you. You worked fucking hard for the things you’ve done and you wouldn’t have done the things you have if anyone important thought you were shit. Which you absolutely are not.”

Josh smiles and he reaches out to brush some longer strands behind your ear. “I have all the faith in you, too.” He snuggles in closer until he’s pressed against your skin, placing a small kiss on your collar bone. “I love how your skin is always warm.”

The party was a drag. Not only did Josh have to practically drag you the entire way there, but once you arrived, it took all of three minutes for him to wander off.  He was off mingling, leaving you in the corner of an unfamiliar house with unfamiliar people scattered all around.  You caught sight of him once or twice, each time he was getting his ear talked off to by some uppity executive or manager.

You were fuming by the time he finally was ready to leave.

“I don’t get why you’re so upset,” Josh says on your drive back home.

“Just forget it,” you say through gritted teeth, you were not in the mood to discuss.

“I can’t apologize if I don’t know what I even did wrong.”

You continue to stare out the window as the night passed by.

When you were finally curled up in bed, Josh snuggled close, his forehead pressed up against yours.

“I’m sorry I got taken away tonight, I missed you.”

You’ve gotten a chance to cool off and he just seems so sincere, so you nod, indicating your approval.

“Can I kiss you now?”

You lean in and kiss him discreetly, trying to ignore the way he even had to ask.

You have sex that night to try to make up for it all.

But it turns out to be awful.

You’re taking a shower after and you’ve never felt further away from Josh, who’s waiting in bed. You scrub yourself, still prickling uncomfortably from this strange, unfamiliar touch of Josh’s skin. You wrap yourself in your bathrobe before going to the bedroom.

You don’t want to be naked in front of Josh right now.

“I feel like you’re erasing me from your life.”

“Excuse me?”

“I just feel like, I’m not a part of your plans anymore.”

“When have I ever not included you in my plans? When have I ever done anything without checking with you first?”

“But, you keep…”

“No. I’m not pushing you away, it’s you who keeps falling away from me.”

“Doesn’t feel like I have any space by your side anymore.”

“And at this point, it’s like you don’t even want me to try to reach out, you’ve decided that I’m erasing you from my life and that’s it, done and dusted, fucking sorted.”

“It’s not fucking sorted, stop putting words in my mouth.”

“Stop blaming me for things I’m not doing!”

A door bangs shut.

You’re staring at the name on your contact list and realize you actually feel nervous. You haven’t felt nervous about calling Josh since probably the very first call you ever made.

“It’s your Josh,” you mutter to yourself and press the green button.

“Hello,” he picks up, sounding croaky.

“Hi,” you’re happy to find the nervousness leaves your mind at the sound of his voice. “What are you doing on your day off?”

“Still in bed,” he yawns.

You frown and look at the clock, making quick calculations. “Josh, it’s like six at night.”

“I suppose so,” Josh says apathetically. “Oh well.”

You can feel the nerves starting to creep back. “You must be hungry.”

“Not really.”

“When was the last time you ate? How long have you been sleeping?”

Josh ponders. “I had something yesterday. I think I had some cereal.”

“But what about a proper dinner?”

“Jesus, what is this? You’re not a nurse doing a check-up.”

You try not to get offended. “I just want to make sure you’ve slept and eaten.”

“I have eaten, and I have slept, like, for almost 20 hours, thanks mom,” his voice is snappy. “Was there anything else? Does your form have any more questions that needs answers?”

“Josh.” your voice is quiet, soft, a gentle tug.

Josh sniffs and coughs. “Fine. Sure. I’m great.  Everything’s great.”

“Okay.”

You exit out of the airline tab on your computer, forgetting all about the overpriced flight you were planning on taking to surprise Josh.

You both still have fun, on some days, of course you do. On days where it’s just you, with nothing to do but spend time together, being carefree, on days when, over a lazy breakfast, Josh asks you if you want to go on an adventure. And you go, drive around aimlessly to a random direction based on chance. You find a hidden little pond in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by thick trees and you go skinny dipping, and then find a sketchy looking café and have take out.

“We should go on a vacation,” you suggest, sitting on the hood of the car.

Josh looks up at you, in a way you can’t quite read. “Vacation?”

“Yeah, like today. Just leave everything for a while.”

“Y/N,” Josh starts slowly and looks down, “that’s not a good idea.”

“What?”

His eyes meet yours. “Like, going away doesn’t solve anything.”

Your mouth flinches. “Did you not have fun today?”

“I did, of course I did,” Josh chooses his words wisely. “I just don’t think it’d be a good idea. To like, go away and then come back while everything here, in real life, remains the same. I don’t think we should go before it ends.”

“Before what ends?” you can feel your chest tightening, you’re not sure you want to hear the answer.

“This… thing, between us. It’s obvious we have issues.”

You nod, biting your lip. “But, like, we’ll fix it, won’t we? We’ll fix us.”

Josh nudges your shoulder with his. “We will. We’ll fix us so well and then, as a reward, we’ll go for the best holiday ever.  To Jamaica or something.” He squeezes your hand.

You squeeze back. “I can work with that.”

“We’ll figure this out, I know we will, we always do.”

The drive back home is quiet, both of you deep in your thoughts, but this time, the silence doesn’t feel so loud.

“What is all of this?” Josh asks as he sees the table set with candles and china.

“Just a surprise,” you smile as you lead him to the kitchen and put a plate of steaming food in front of him.

You feel a little nervous. “Taste it.”

Josh inhales the divine smell of something hearty and rustic, reminding him of something he can’t quite pinpoint.

“This is my grandmother’s recipe,” he says quietly.

“I know.”

“She didn’t… She said it was a secret and no one else had it.”

“I know.”

Their eyes meet and Josh smiles, letting out a wet chuckle. “You did good, love.”

“Hey.”

“Hi.”

“I think… I think we should really talk now.”

“Look, I’m so sorry about the stuff I said, it was so uncalled for, I was being an asshole.”

You shake your head. “No, me too, I think we both were being… not good.”

“Apologies?”

“Apologies,” you nod.

“Come sit with me.” Josh says.

You both sit down on the sofa, leaving some space between them but not as much as they could’ve.

“Sometimes… I feel like your tour life is taking more time and energy than it should. And it’s time and energy away from me.”

Josh looks surprised. “Seriously? Really, Y/N?”

You shrug. “It’s… Like it’s just a lot.”

“I know it’s a lot, I’m living it.”

“But I’m living it too, that’s just it.”

“You said you were fine with everything, don’t try to claim I didn’t check every tour, every interview, everything with you. You were totally on board when it all started.”

“I’m allowed to change my mind. I changed my mind. It’s fucking awful and I hate it.”

“How do you want me to fix it then?”

You say nothing.

“You know this isn’t something I can fix. I can’t just stop this all from happening now.”

“I know,” you say.

“Like, I’m on tour now. You changed your mind but it doesn’t have an effect, like sorry you feel like shit but there is literally nothing I can do about it.”

“I said I know! I’m not expecting you to change anything.”

“Well great, that’s helpful,” Josh mutters.

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me,” Josh looks like a pouting child. “You always have things to complain about but no solutions.  What do you want me to do?  Quit the band?  Quit my job?”

“I didn’t say that.”

You stare at each other, neither willing to step back. The air is filled with electricity, almost, and as much as you absolutely hate confrontation, you know this all has to be said.  Speaking your mind finally feels like it’s fixing this weird rut you’d fallen into.

“So to recap,” you finally say. “I’m pissed off at you for things I initially agreed to but now don’t like, but things you can’t change, and not because you don’t want to.”

“Seems so,” Josh grits his teeth. “And I’m pissed off at you for changing your mind and offering no helpful solutions.”

“Great,” you nod.

“What a team we make,” he says.

You sigh heavily. “You can say that again.”

“What a team we make.”

“Shut up,” you smirk. “Ok. I hate your stupid fucking tour and some of the people around you are absolute dicks.”

“I hate that you won’t quit school to come on tour with me.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

“So basically we’re angry for each other and not at each other.”

“Seems so.”

“Does it help if I say, I love you and I want the best for you? I’m sorry.”

Josh nods solemnly, “I’m sorry, too.”

“Maybe we should just have weekly, scheduled fights, where it’s acceptable to call each other twats and judge our life choices and just get it all out in the open.”

“And talk shit about everyone else.”

“Especially that.”

Josh opens his arms, gesturing for you to come cuddle.

“You’re my life, Y/N. You know I’ll always have your back.”

“You’re my life,” you smile. “I’ll always be here for you, too.”

“I don’t want you to think that, I’m like, not so fucking proud of everything you do. With school and your degree.”

“I know you are.”

“And like, I know you’re proud of the things I do.”

“I am, babe, so proud.”

“I’m your biggest fan. And you’re mine, I know. And I think I probably forget that for a little bit in the middle of everything.”

Josh is picking on the sleeve of your sweater. “I think… We both forgot, for a bit. And, like, stopped talking. I don’t want to ever, ever, feel that disconnection again.”

“Me neither,” Josh kisses the top of your head. “Come on, let’s go connect.”

You feel a bit like crying, maybe. They’d been wrapped around each other for what feels like hours now. It’s deep, it’s slow, it feels like reconnecting from head to toe and mind to heart. The release you finally feel leaves you shivering after.

Later, laying with your foreheads pressed together, eyes locked, Josh is petting your hair, occasionally closing his eyes from the tickling pleasure of your finger tracing his cheekbones, his eyebrows, down his nose, his lips, up his jaw line and down again.

“Thank you for coming back to me,” you whisper. “I don’t want to be so far from you anymore.”

Josh smiles softly.

You set the date for June 3rd, an exact year after Josh gets down on one knee.  You chose a lovely place, by a lake – rustic but not too over the top romantic.

It had been a wonderfully, sunny, Tuesday afternoon, such an inconvenient day of the week, but your families were there. Josh had taken your hand before they walked down to the minister, and he hadn’t let go until you were outside, birds chirping in the surrounding trees, doing rounds of hugging their parents and siblings, tissues passed around with delighted laughter and words of happiness.

Instead of a huge reception, you decided on a small get together at home, with plenty of delicious home-made food and never-ending drinks, with everyone staying for the night and no obligations for the following day. There were Chinese lanterns and fairy lights hanging down everywhere.

“This is so perfect.” your eyes met Josh’s.  “This is my favorite day, ever, and you’re my favorite person, ever,” you whispered to your husband.

Later in the evening, the sky had suddenly turned menacingly grey and opened with huge, heavy raindrops. Josh’s sisters had been screaming, trying to cover their hairdos and delicate dresses, everyone going for whatever they needed to save quickly and get inside, people bumping into each other and getting drenched.

But you and Josh stayed behind, kissing in the rain, getting soaked together.

HOW TO RP A CHARACTER WITH BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER

NCT-127 Reacts to you calling them appa instead of oppa

Thank you for the request!! I hope this is okay, and have a great weekend! 😊 Requests are open for NCT-U and NCT-127

 Taeil:

Taeil would be tacken aback, taking a few seconds to say something, and then jokingly asking “am I that old?” and laughing about it. He’d probably brush over it quite quickly, not wanting you to be too embarresed about the mistake but also laugh about it a bit once you were corrected, comforting you that everyone makes mistakes and he wasn’t actually mad.

 Johnny:

Oh boy, Johnny would smirk and tease you, joking that he didn’t know you were into that - or that he was so attractive you couldn’t help but mess up your Korean in front of him. He’d joke about it constantly with a suggestive smirk and never let you live it down, messing around in both English and Korean and referrring to himself as daddy/appa around you but stopping before he took it to far if it made you uncomfortable.

 Taeyong:

He may be shocked at first, and be a bit awkward with the mix up. Soon enough he’d laugh about it with you and tell you how cute it was you messed up, wanting to help you with your Korean and taking time to help you improve your speaking and prononciation - looking out for you and being proud as you improved, showing off how you were making less mistakes.

 Yuta:

He’d pick up on the mistake immediently, being quick to point it out and correct your pronunciation in an over the top way. His grin would be plastered on his face as he reaffirmed he was ‘oppa’, feeling proud he could be the one correcting your Korean, instead of having his picked up on. Although he understood the difficulties of learning a new language, it might get to his head a bit and he’d tease you non stop for a short while, until he found something else to be savage about.

 Doyoung:

Similar to Yuta, Doyoung would pick up on the mistake immediently and let you know you’d made a mistake, joking that you needed to practice you’re pronunciation more, or that you should take a lesson from Winwin. After the initial teasing he wouldn’t bring it up much, unlike others, not really seeing much past the similar sounds, but might joke you should listen to him because he was your ‘appa’ if he was playfully trying to argue.

 Jaehyun:

Jeffery here would be cofused at first, then find your little slip up adorable. He’d tease you for little mistakes with that adorable smile of his and jokingly make you repeat words to hear your cute accent if you messed up another word slightly.

 Winwin:

Poor Winwin would be so cofused, taken aback by the slip up, especially as his Korean isn’t perfect, and try to make sense of what you’d just said. He might not even notice at first, focusing more on understanding the general gist of what you were saying than the specifics of it, and once it settled on him he’d ask what you meant, then laugh with you at the mistake as you also realised what you’d said, maybe joking about it and saying he thought his Korean was bad.

 Mark:

He’d laugh at your mistake, a bit flustered, and quickly correct you, knowing how easy it is to get confused with languages and pronunciation. He would try and gently tell you your mistake and reassure you it was fine, but also make sure you didn’t make any similar mistake with anyone else which could be embarrasing, especially if they weren’t as close to you, or as understanding, as he was.

 Haechan:

He’d probably give you hell for the mistake, teasing you to no end for the pronunciation slip up. He’d walk up to you whenever you were speaking Korean and trying to 'help’ you with it, like jokingly repeating what you said and saying he was translating, or if you made another small mistake making a big deal over teaching you the correction - all while acting as if he wasn’t innocently trying to ‘help’ you. He probably wouldn’t care much what you’d actually said, but more the fact he had something he could tease you about.

Starlight [Jason Scott x Reader] [Power Rangers x Reader]

Author’s Note: Wow, that’s a new thing in the title–multiple pairings! There are hints of Jason ScottxReader in this, but it’s also a general Power RangersxReader sort of deal too, just a team bonding moment. I like writing snippets like this to help establish your relationship as a team, so there’s already some background when I write some more plot-heavy stuff. So this is just a random little thing, and I hope y’all enjoy.

(Also little side note that may or may not matter to you idk: I pictured the reader to be the purple Ranger, and in the Dino Charge season of PR, the purple Ranger has a plesiosaur Zord. So… that’s why you have the Zord that you do here haha)

anonymous asked:

You'll talk someday about how the Port Mafia is portrayed? ( not the bightest bulbs in the chandelier huh. Not the most subtle either) im not trying to rush you, it bothers me too and im just curious. I like your analysis. Have a nice day

Haha all kidding aside, I’ve been meaning to talk about them for quite a while now. It’s just that I want the stuff I write to make sense, because usually they’re self-indulgent rambles. And this one won’t be an exception, especially since I have so many feelings about Port Mafia.

Usually it’s the protagonists who are outmatched, outgunned, outnumbered, or just generally outclassed. Through sheer force of will and nakama power perfect teamwork do they come out on top. Even then sacrifices have to be made. At the start, the Armed Detective Agency seemed like it will follow this mold, but soon we are introduced to their abilities.

On paper and in practice, the abilities of the members of ADA greatly complement each other. This means that even with few active operatives who can work on the field, they got all bases covered. If this were an MMO they’d have Atsushi and Kenji as tanks, Atsushi again and then Kunikida for DPS, Tanizaki going for Assistance/Crowd Control, Fukuzawa as Buffer, Dazai as Debuffer and of course, Yosano as their Healer. Not to mention Ranpo, the formidable brains behind their operations (with Dazai as backup, or even vice versa).

Now let’s take a look at the mafia. Not counting Odasaku, in their group who doesn’t have an offensive ability? Ace? Sure, but his ability only applies to his subordinates, and anyway he’s also dead. See the problem? Chuuya probably has the most versatile ability in the mafia right now, but it’s either he takes great pride in his prowess as a martial artist or he just can’t think of creative ways to take advantage of the fact that he can, well, manipulate gravity. There’s also Elise, who seems to be “programmed” to be able to do feats no ordinary human can, but we don’t know much about her. Outside of these two, the one who impresses is Kajii. His ability sounded like a joke sure, but he knows how to make use of it and in the right circumstances, can be that one member to watch out for. There’s also talks about another executive member or two. Whether one exists we don’t know, but I can only hope they’ll possess an ability that is a supportive one, or something gamechanging like mind reading or memory wipe.

Don’t get me wrong! It is rather refreshing to see a team full of competent people, especially in their line of work where they’ll find themselves smack dab in the middle of dirty matters the police and the military would rather not handle. That they are well-rounded means it’s easy to imagine why the government would want their help, why they get the requests they do, and why they are favored to take on cases that will pit them against criminals/evildoers who have their own deadly abilities.

Brother

READ ON FF.NET HERE (THE ENDING IS DIFFERENT)

Fred feels the pull for the first time some thirty years after his death. Not unlike a portkey, it scares the hell out of him. Uncle Gideon says it’s a summons. That scares Fred even more, because as much as he misses his family, he really does not want to see them. At all. It isn’t like he has much of a choice, however, so he allows the feeling to guide him to his charge.

He arrives in a forest, one that he doesn’t recognize at all. The wind is cold, and Fred hasn’t been cold for thirty years so it bites him all the more. Taking in the unfamiliar trees, it hits him like a punch when he realizes who it must be.

“Charlie?” Fred calls warily, hoping that he’s wrong.

He’s not.

“George?” comes the confused reply from somewhere to his left. Fred almost wants to chuckle as he heads in the direction of the voice.

“Still can’t tell us apart, eh?” he replies. “Mum always did say those dragons would be the death of you. I assume that’s what happened, at least.”

No reply. Fred shoves his hands in his pockets in a futile attempt to block out the cold. He continues on.

“I must say, I had hoped I wouldn’t see any of you for a while. But here we are.”

Silence.

“Charlie?” he calls again. “I haven’t been cold for thirty years, let’s get on with it.”

Footsteps from his right. Fred stops and turns to face the brother he hasn’t seen up close for so long. Charlie appears as he did right after the war, and he looks extremely confused. Fred, who had never been an ace in sublety, decides to remedy that.

“You’re dead, mate,” he informs Charlie. “As am I.”

“Oh,” Charlie says blankly. Then he breaks out in a grin. “Well, nice to see you. It’s been a while,” he adds, as if they were old friends meeting in a checkout line.

“And you,” Fred says with a bow, in the same tone. “So, d’you want to be a ghost? I think I’m supposed to ask that.”

Charlie smiles. “No, we have catching up to do.” Fred claps his hands together.

“Well, cheers. Let’s go then. I’m frozen.”

“This is like, May weather,” Charlie says dryly. Fred shakes his head bemusedly, then holds out a hand for Charlie, just like Uncle Fabian did so many years ago for Fred. Charlie takes it, and together, they go.

Holding tight.

4x12 AU with everything we won’t get in the episode. Which means bellarke angst and hurt bellamy.

S/o to @endlesslyfangirl-ing for beta’ing this one too <3

Clarke has spent a couple of hours alone in an empty room, fighting with her inner demons and fears. Tears have been rolling down her cheek freely the whole time she has been alone, no one has come to see her. The image of her holding a gun, of pointing it at Bellamy, it can’t leave her mind.

Without any warning the door behind her cracks open causing Clarke to quickly wipe her tears away with the back of her hand before turning around to see who it is.

“Clarke.” Jaha says in a quiet voice, making his way to her slowly. “I’ve been looking for you for hours.” He takes a seat on the bed, next to her.

“I needed some time alone.” She whispers, turning her head to face the other way. “What do you want?”

Jaha stays silent for a few moments, staring at the side of Clarke’s head before speaking, “Kane is up there, telling the truth to our people.” He pauses, “Telling them that they need to die.”

Another tear escapes Clarke’s eyes but before it can roll down her cheeks she quickly wipes it away like the others. “Not everyone. A hundred of them will live here with the rest of the clans.” She points out which earns her a humorless laugh from Jaha.

“Yeah, tell that to the people who have settled down and will be kicked out soon.”

“What do you want me to do Thelonious?” She snaps, turning to glare at him, “I did everything I could. Same as you.”

The man next to her shakes his head, “Not everything, Clarke. We still have a chance to save all our people.”

Clarke stares at him confused. She doesn’t like what Jaha is implying. “What do you mean, Jaha? The decision has been made. We only have-”

“I will organize a riot.” He cuts her off. “People won’t be happy with how things turned out.”

Clarke shakes her head, “No. No, you can’t do that. People will get hurt and die and nothing will change.” She argues.

“Nothing will change if we don’t do anything about it, Clarke.” Jaha replies calmly, “We found this bunker. We deserve to have it as much as we deserve a leader like you. A leader that is willing to do anything for their people.”

Wedding Day

Summary: The day of Ian and Mickey’s wedding.

Word Count: 2159

Notes: Loved this request!

It was the morning of the wedding, and Ian and Mickey were happier than ever. They had just had the best morning sex ever so they were both practically glowing as they walked down the steps of the Gallagher house. Fiona insisted that they slept there for the night because she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for the wedding. She could not have the two of them mess something up.

When the couple got into the kitchen, Debbie started to fake gag. “How many times do you guys fuck throughout the night? I can fucking smell it,” she rolled her eyes as Mickey gave her the middle finger.

Fiona stood up abruptly with a big smile on her face. “You’re getting married!” She ran over and hugged them– Ian hugged back, Mickey just sort of stood there. Hugging anyone other than Ian (and his sister) felt so strange to him– luckily the Gallagher family had never gotten offended by his lack of showing affection. Once the eldest Gallagher sibling had let go of the embrace, she watched as their enthusiastic and nervous eyes went from her to each other.

“We’re getting fucking married today,” Ian giggled in disbelief as he pulled Mickey in for a chaste kiss. After all these years, they were finally promising to spend their lives together.

Taking everyone’s attention from the two of them, the backdoor opened to Mandy. She looked different and beautiful as could be– her hair was lighter than ever, and she calmed down on wearing such heavy eye makeup. “Hi, assholes,” she smiled before dropping her suitcase and running to greet her brother and best friend. She hugged each of them tightly and placed a quick kiss on Ian’s lips.

“What the fuck, bitch?” Mickey scowled at his sister for kissing his soon-to-be husband.

Ian shook his head and wiped the girls lipstick off his lips. “What? I felt like kissing my boyfriend one last time,” she jokes. Ian ruffled her hair and pulled her in for another hug.

“I missed you, Mands,” he said in a warm tone. “Everything been okay?”

She nods. “Everything’s been great,” the Milkovich girl responds. “Enough of me, you guys are getting fucking hitched today!” She beams as the two standing in front of her smile. It’s nice seeing Mickey genuinely fucking happy for once. When she hears an excited shriek come from behind her, she turns around to hug Fiona, Debbie, Carl, and Liam. “Can you guys fuckin’ believe these two?”

“It’s fucking awesome,” Carl smirks. He’s proud of his brother for being able to keep such a strong hold on a Milkovich because no one’s ever done that before.

Suddenly Lip walks down the stairs. It looks like he’s still half asleep but once he’s eyes set on Mandy, he gasps and freezes in his spot. When his ex girlfriend gives his a soft grin, he relaxes and walks farther down the stairs and into the kitchen. He walks over to his redhead brother and squeezes his shoulder. “You excited, man?”

Ian vigorously nods. “Fuck yes. We’ve went through enough shit to finally get here. We’re so close to the finish line now.” He kisses Mickey’s head.

Fiona smiles at her brother and then turns her head to the side to see the time. “Oh, shit! We gotta get ready!” Everyone then proceeds to finish their breakfast before rushing to get dressed and prepared.

* * *

Surprisingly, in their previous search to find someone to marry Ian and Mickey, the Gallaghers found out that many of the regulars at the Alibi were ordained, but they chose Kermit to do the job. He seemed to be the least likely to ruin the whole thing.

As Kermit was waiting at the front of the VFW for his two grooms, he heard the wedding bells chime. Everyone excitedly shifted in their seats. Because no one really knew how this wedding would work, Ian and Mickey decided to walk out at the same time and meet in front of Kermit.

When the men locked eyes, the happy sounds of the attendees were suddenly drowned out, and it was only them. This is happening. This is real. Ian’s heart was pounding so hard that he could hear it, and Mickey’s hands were profusely sweating.

Once close enough, the redhead reached out and grabbed Mickey’s clammy hands. He felt as if he couldn’t wipe the grin of his face so he didn’t even try to. The affection and joy in Mickey’s eyes were making Ian’s heart melt.

Kermit then began, and after saying “I do” a few times, it was time for their vows. “I, Ian Clayton Gallagher, take you Mikhailo Aleksander Milkovich, to be my lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times, and in joy as well as sorrow.” Ian chuckled as he started his vows in a traditional form. “I promise to love you through the crazy shit we have yet to face. I promise to never leave you again. I promise to be my best for you. I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, fight with you, love you, and cherish you until death do us part,” he says and holds back the tears that are welling in his eyes.

Mickey smiled and cleared his throat before speaking. It was hard to him to describe his feelings in front of this many people, so he steadied his gaze on Ian and kept his focus there. “I, Mikhailo Aleksander Milkovich, take you Ian Gallagher to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health,” he smirks and he thinks of all the times he’s taken care of Ian whenever he’d been hit with a bipolar episode. He started again, “in good times and in bad times. I promise to never let you go. I promise to never give up no matter what shit is thrown at us next– we’ve made it this far.  I promise to always take care of you, protect you, fight for you, hold you, love you, and cherish you.” He speaks in the most sincere tone anyone has ever heard. “And I fucking mean that,” he adds with a smirk.

They exchange rings then and Kermit grins at them both before saying his final words. “By the power vested in me by the state of Chicago, I now present you husband and husband! You may kiss your groom,” he starts to clap before their lips even connect. While they are in the middle of their kiss, Kermit raises his arms triumphantly. “I present to you the newly married couple, Ian Gallagher-Milkovich and Mickey Gallagher-Milkovich!” Everyone erupts into a loud cheer.

Ian laughs into Mickey’s mouth, but then proceeds to kiss him harder. They’ve never kissed with so much love in front of an audience like this, but they were thrilled about it. When they separated, they rested their foreheads against the each other. “We fucking did it,” Ian giggled.

Mickey nodded proudly. It was hard to believe that they’ve came this far. “I love you.”

“I love you too, husband,” Ian smiled and pecked Mickey on the lips.

Grabbing each other’s hands, they then proceed to walk down the aisle while everyone shouted and clapped for them, but obviously those plans we changed. Fiona and Debbie launched themselves out of their seats to gather their brother and his new husband in a hug. When the girls let go, the newlyweds were suddenly embraced by Mickey’s Iggy and Mandy, which was a huge fucking surprise because it was rare for the Milkovich family to show such affection. Once everyone backed off, it was time for the reception.

As everyone crowded into the Alibi the music begins to blare. Everyone gets their drinks and starts dancing, but Ian and Mickey hold back. Ever since Ian’s been on his meds, Mickey’s cut back on the alcohol because he doesn’t want Ian to go through it alone.

When everyone was congratulating them, Mickey started to notice that Ian seemed to be growing impatient. Once everyone cleared out from around them, Mickey cocked an eyebrow at his husband and Ian instantly grabbed his shirt and pulled him forward. “Need to taste you,” Ian whispered in Mickey’s ear and started dragging him towards the bathroom.

Mickey’s dick hardened the second those words came out of his husbands month. He’s been wanting for Ian to jump on him since they were getting ready for the wedding.

Ian smirked when he saw Mickey’s needy expression on his face. He locked the doors and sunk down to his knees. He couldn’t deny that the sight of his husband made his own dick twitch, but right now he needed to take care of Mickey.

As he unzipped Mickey’s pants, he grinned at the boner he had exposed. “So fuckin’ hot,” Ian said as he stroked his cock.

Ian had barely even begun and Mickey was already trembling in the knees. He knew for a fact that he wasn’t going to last long, but that was probably for the better. He tried to keep his eyes focus on his husband.

“What do you want me to do, Mick?” Ian teased.

Mickey let out a lustful sound. “Fuckin’ suck me off!”

With that Ian wrapped his mouth around Mickey’s dick and began bobbing his head up and down. His hand wrapped around the part of Mickey’s cock that Ian couldn’t fit into his mouth. He was doing all the right things with his tongue, causing Mickey to let out sexiest moans that Ian has ever heard. He was pretty sure these sounds alone were enough to make him jizz in his pants.

Ian seductively looked up through his eyelashes. He could see that Mickey was about to cum just from the look on his face– which was fucking hot. “Gonna cum,” Mickey panted. The redhead nodded and prepared himself to swallow. A few moments later, Mickey’s cum shot down Ian’s throat. When he finished, he licked up and down his husbands dick one last time, making sure he didn’t miss anything.

Once completely done, he pulled Mickey’s pants up for him and zipped him up. “Better repay me later,” he joked and kissed him.

“You know I will,” Mickey reassured him. His placed one last kiss on Ian’s lips before the walked back out into the crowd.

As they unlocked the door and made their way out of the restroom, Iggy yelled, “Hey! They’re back!” Ian laughed and Mickey blushed.

“Horny fuckers,” Fiona said to them with a laugh. “Time to make a speech.”

Mickey’s eyebrows shot up. “I have to make a fucking speech?” Publicly speaking was never his strong suit, and the only time it was was when he was making a scene to get his point across.

“Yes, Mickey, we’re making a speech,” Ian tells him happily. Ian grabbed Iggy’s beer and tapped the glass with a fork to get everyone’s attention. He smiled, grabbed Mickey’s hand, and began. “When I was fifteen I made the crazy decision to go after Mickey Milkovich, and instead of him beating the shit out of me, we fucked. Ever since that day I have been so hooked on this asshole. We’ve been through so much– way too much, but we’re still here and stronger than ever. Eleven years ago I wouldn’t never believe that this is where we’d end up, but I’m so fuck happy that we’ve gotten here. I love you, Mick.” He kisses Mickey’s head as everyone clapped.

Mickey took a deep breath and got ready to talk. When Ian saw Mickey’s leg tapping, he grabbed his cheek. “Hey, talk to me.” Mickey nods.

“I tried so fucking hard to hate you when he first started hooking up, but you were like a drug or some shit– I never wanted to want you, but I kept coming back for more. When you left that first time is when I accepted how much I loved you– that’s when I stopped fighting it. After all the shit– Terry, Frank, Svetlana,” he pauses and looks at her apologetically and she smiles at him, then begins again, “juvie, fucking Boystown, the Army, your bipolar disorder, that bitch Sammi, the list goes on forever– I’ll always be here for you. I fucking love you,” he said sincerely. Ian smiles so wide that his mouth hurt.

Everyone erupted in a big cheer. Fiona had tears welling in her eyes while Lip went to go hug his brother. The Gallaghers told the newly weds how proud they were of them while the Milkovich cousins and siblings shook their hands and offered them a two month supply of weed– Ian accepted it because he knew that was their way of showing their love. Ian and Mickey along with their families have finally crossed the finish line, they’ve overcome so much and nothing could stop them now.
