Look at this. This episode, I’m serious, it showed some fucking amazing character development and communication. I mean, look how well they are use to each other’s fighting style, how they fight.
“Team RWBY is a tactical team. This time around, I have the challenge of showing Team RWBY as also a cohesive unit. They’ve been together this long of a time now, they should be able to read each other’s movements and move off cue.” - Monty Oum
Volume 2, the plot, the improvement, everything itself is like, completely amazing. You have no idea how happy this makes me all of the time. I mean, Volume 1 was amazing, it was the start. But in this volume, they improved, they got better. And damn, does it really show.
Voice actors, writers, producers, composers, artists, animators, modelers, crew members, & anyone who has worked on anything RWBY related. Thank you. Thank you so much. You’re doing such an amazing job. I honestly don’t know how you could even improve in Season 2.
Wishing a very happy birthday to grace personified, Kerry Washington.
I figured now was as good a time as any to pay a bit of appreciation to the amazing Kerry Washington. I included these specific gifs because they’re things that come to my mind when I first think of her, like Josie, but also because these are things that she’s either opened my perspective to or eloquently fought for my point of view in a way that I never could, like politics and race.
Putting this together made me a little teary eyed, to be honest. Kerry has such a fun, infectious personality and it’s amazing how her presence commands the attention of everyone in a room. I find a bit funny that just three years ago if anyone said her name I completely ignored it and now people can’t get it all the way out of their mouths before I nearly hyperventilate with excitement.
She’s an amazing mentor. She’s a phenomenal actress. She’s a fantastic political activist. She almost needs her own holiday. So, here’s to the woman that’s continuously proven herself to be more important than my schoolwork (since I can get KW stuff done and not homework). I hope that this turns out to be an incredible year for her.
Happy Birthday, Kerry!
