every landscape

My mood right now as far as the political landscape every year…

I like the ingenuity that comes from shooting a scifi series with a shoestring budget.

“We need a spaceship. Let’s glue two hairdryers together and paint them!”

“What looks weird and bubbly? Bubblewrap looks weird and bubbly! We’ve got fifty yards of bubblewrap and a can of green spray paint, let’s make some aliens!”

“What time period should our time travellers visit? What time period did someone doing a historical drama just finish using the costumes for?”

“I’ve got some leftover tinsel rope from Christmas, but it kept falling off the door lintel and hanging over the opening. Which give me an idea.”

“We can’t afford to make a miniature shuttle land the miniature shuttle on a miniature landscape every week. Let’s give them… teleporters! We can shake some glitter in a jar of water and play that over the characters appearing wherever we like!”

I want something more...

I want the wallpaper of my life to be waterfalls and daffodils, not papers stacked high around me.

I want to stretch my legs across every continent, not spend my days sitting in a spinning chair.

I want to learn about cultures by meeting their people, hearing their music, and tasting their foods, not by Google searching places I’d rather be.

I want to see how dawn and dusk grace every landscape, not be trapped in bumper to bumper stressing about being a few minutes late.

I want to live an extraordinary life filled with adventures and experiences, not waste my life in this awful rat race.

Yosemite National Park

This weekend my best friend and I went on our last trip of the year. This has been such a great year for me, I’ve traveled through 8 countries, a bunch of states, I’ve hiked/camped in many national parks, and I adopted my doggo Kaneki. I’m excited for 2017 and every country I will be traveling through/every landscape I’ll be photographing. Happy New Year!

A hike through Iceland. Black sand beaches, waterfalls, cliffs, craters, and every type of landscape your mind can imagine.

The Pokémon sent to the PC perceive it as an entire world filled with only Pokémon and no humans, and because so many of them are on the brink of fainting before they get there they don’t remember getting caught, and if you never take them out of the PC they’ll just continue their lives believing they’re still in the wild.

Inside they develop a civilization, have their own economy, develop tools and food not present in the human world, and when they explore the world they find out it never stays the same because the PC loads different floors… I mean, landscapes, every time they visit the same place.

It was one of those sumptuous days when the world is full of autumn muskiness and tangy, crisp perfection: vivid blue sky, deep green fields, leaves in a thousand luminous hues. It is a truly astounding sight when every tree in a landscape becomes individual, when each winding back highway and plump hillside is suddenly and infinitely splashed with every sharp shade that nature can bestow - flaming scarlet, lustrous gold, throbbing vermilion, fiery orange.
