Agent: So, Katie, there’s a role you might be interested in….
Is she tragic? Is she suffering? Is she pining? Is she gay? Could she be gayer? Does she need a huge hug? Does she deserve the world but no one seems to be giving it to her? Is she a little shady? Does she have a dark side? Is she too fabulous despite all of that? Does she die? Bitch sign me up. When’s the audition? (x)
The whole “Lucius was abusive with Draco” thing has always been so funny to me. Really, I don’t get how people are able to believe something so silly.
Seriously, guys, wake the fuck up, if Lucius had been abusive with his son, he wouldn’t have been a part of the series. You know why? Because Narcissa “If you attack my son again I shall ensure that is the last thing you ever do” Malfoy would have killed him ten times in a row.
The Artemis Fowl books advocate for the environment, deal with misogyny in the workplace and the need for feminism, and has some of the best character development arcs like ever over the span of eight books. Also, there’s magic and fairies with guns and time travel and a whole lot of sarcasm and really no downside to reading them
Anyway, can we just appreciate how every character page in the volumes are all completely different
i think my favorites are the second one, where all Might, Izuku and Bakugou are doing some kinda weird dance thing (and idek what Aizawa is doing back there), and the third, where they’re all adorably bundled up for winter
a lil ghs sketch dump! which i actually started way earlier in the summer and just never got around to coloring, but i finally finished em up today so i can finally get em posted! even if it is way later then originally intended,,
// Captain Flint Recently finished Black Sails and WOW, it was excellent. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it. I don’t even know who to paint next, there are that many amazing characters. A huge thank you to @wecanseethemadness, for convincing me to watch it!
timber timbre: souvenirs || His face was pale, but his eyes were red, and his lips and chin were pink with washed away blood. His mouth was full of gauze, and he was looking at nothing.Until Flint walked in. Then he was looking at Flint.
zack hemsey: silver crimson black || He should have died a dozen times over with each raid, but somehow he always wound up alive, covered in blood, surrounded by more bodies than Flint himself, mouth opened in a black, soundless howl.
ludovico einaudi: twice || A couple months after Charles Town, Flint walks into his cabin to find Silver, staring out the window, with a gun pointed right at his heart.
alexandre desplat: Un Héros Très Discret: La Vérité Ou La Mort || With Flint’s attention finally on him, Silver takes the opportunity to mouth, loud and clear, “No.” And Flint hears him.
john murphy: in the house - in a heartbeat || Flint raises his hand, and Silver strikes. Flint speaks, and Silver is the echo, rumbling deep into the earth.
nicholas britell: the spot || Dobbs is the first to take the vow of silence, after Silver had publicly beat him within an inch of his life.
trent reznor and atticus ross: it catches up with you || His men are mine, and mine are his. They follow my orders, and his. They fight for him, and for me. Because I am his man, and he is mine.
zack hemsey: vengeance || Like walking beside a rabid, hungry wolf, and the only way she’d been safe was because he hadn’t seen her yet.
angelo badalamenti: fire to the stars || The sleeves of Flint’s shirt are rolled up, and Silver’s fingers linger there on the soft, freckled inner part of his arm. It takes her a minute to realize he is tracing letters into Flint’s skin.
hans zimmer: the tide || They’re the haunting that clings to every abandoned ship, sunken ship, and ghost ship – dragged out onto land by storm and tide.
john murphy: how to leave your body || But he also keeps watching, so he sees when Flint stands, hands dripping with blood. He walks to Silver, his Right Hand, dripping with blood.
It’s about time I got around to drawing this. I’ve been meaning to draw this picture for years now. Gravity Falls is my favorite cartoon of the modern age. The writing, the jokes, the visuals, the stories, the setting, it’s all something extremely special and top quality. I originally planned to throw Gideon in the back and possibly other main supporters like Soos, but ultimately decided to do strictly monsters aside from the main three protagonists. I not only love the monsters in this show and mostly wanted to represent them, but also I feel there’s a much greater shortage of fanart of the monsters. Everybody just draws the human characters.I just love how the show generally has that cute art style, but then something that looks like a Contra boss or a Freddy Krueger manifestation can pop out. It’s a shame I’ll never know the experience of watching this show through a child’s eyes, because I believe it would likely be rather terrifying at times for a kid. There’s a few monsters i didn’t have room for. Can you identify them all?
Had to draw my favorite character, Grunkle Stan, though. Practically every line that dude says has me laughing out loud. Great freaking character all around.
I never did it intentionally, but every year when i happened to get back into watching Gravity Falls again, it was always around September and October. That, mixed with its obvious horror connections, have always made this cartoon part of the Halloween season in the past 4 or so years, despite it taking place in summer.
