Take care of your hands!

I have noticed a lack of tutorials about hand exercises for artists and writers, so i’ll teach you guys some exercises to keep your hands healthy, preventing repetitive stress injuries, tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Keep yourself relaxed when you stretch your hands (hold the stretches for 15 seconds).

Remember: Do the hand stretches every 25 minutes, and don’t overstretch/don’t force yourself, if it’s painful!


Rigatoni & Sunday Sauce 

On Monday, I had a little time to get a bit of cooking done, and I decided that I wanted it to be a labor of love. I’ve posted my Sunday Sauce recipe before, but I will post it once again. I served it over some rigatoni, and this made for a great dinner, and amazing leftovers. I do apologize for not posting as frequently, but I have been going through a bit of a rough patch, so please keep me in your good thoughts! I’ll be back posting soon. 

Ingredients for Sunday Sauce

2 ½ cans of whole, peeled San Marzano tomatoes

1 large yellow onion, diced

1 lb ground beef

½ lb ground turkey

½ lb ground sirloin

1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casing

4 cloves garlic, minced

¾ cup red wine

Freshly minced parsley and basil

Olive oil

Red pepper flakes

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions for Sunday Sauce

In a food processor, pulse the tomatoes until they are completely broken down, with few chunks

In a large pot, heat a few tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.

Add in the ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.

Once all of the ground meat has browned, remove from the pot and set aside.

Repeat the above steps with the Italian sausage and set aside.

Add in the onion and cook for a few minutes until it begins to develop color, about 5 minutes. If needed, add a tbsp of oil into the pot so that the onions do not scorch.

Add in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Before adding the meat, deglaze the pan with the red wine, being sure to scrape the fond (brown bits) from the bottom, if any.

Add in the meat and cook for 2 minutes.

Add in the tomatoes, season generously with salt and pepper and red pepper flakes.

Bring the sauce to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes.

Reduce the heat to a low simmer and partially cover with a lid and let simmer for 3.5 hours, stirring once every 25 minutes being sure to scrape the bottom.

When close to finished, season with salt and pepper if needed and add in fresh basil and parsley. Dried oregano would also be a nice touch here.


Low Carb Vegan Breakfast Muffins

You will need: 

3 Ripe Bananas – mix them up until smooth

1 cup chia seeds (not nessasary but add additional protein)

1 cup sliced almonds

dash of cinnamon (to speed up metabolism)

5 - 8 cups oats (I usually use a mix of rough cut and fine ones) – precise amount will vary depending on the size of the bananas – constancy is fine when the batter is more sticky than liquid

(frozen) berries to taste

Mix everything up in said order. Fill the batter in some cupcake liners (silicone works best – paper is also fine). Bake every for ca. 25-30 minutes until the tops turn slightly brown. Let them cool down before eating.

I usually take one to go for breakfast as you can prepare them for the whole week up front. Super easy and healthy breakfast! Enjoy!

Why snack?

We all know that, to keep our brains running smoothly, we need to fuel them appropriately with a balanced diet. This is specially important during exams or other stress periods, because mental work burns more calories than sometimes we realize.

One easy and effective way to get that extra energy our brains need are snacks. When used in conjunction with an already good diet, they can give a much needed boost to your memory, attention, comprehension…

When to snack?

I’ve found the best time to go for a little snack is during studying breaks. I use the pomodoro technique, so every 25 minutes I’ll have a little break, and that’s when I do my snacking. Not every break has to be a snack-break, of course!

If I am cramming, I find eating while studying also works, but it is messier and can interrupt your focus. So try your best to plan little breaks at set intervals!

How to snack?

Eat small things, both in portion and in size. Finger foods are much better than stuff you need utensils for. Bite sized foods work best and are generally less messy. Small portions mean you get energy as you need it, and that you won’t overeat or force your body to do a heavy digestion while studying (trust me, you don’t want that! You want all the energy going to your brain and not your guts!).

What to snack?

Here’s where many people get stuck, but truth is possibilities are endless. I advise against junk food, but even that is better (in moderation, of course!) than having nothing at all. It is a good idea to plan ahead what you will be eating and snacking that week: this way you can make sure you choose a variety of foods with good nutritional values, and your choices are wiser.

Some ideas:

  • Drinks
    • Fruit smoothies (a favorite here is frozen strawberries, banana & cinnamon)
    • Tea (any type, hot or iced)
    • A small cup of hot chocolate
    • Orange juice
  • Fruit and vegs
    • Grapes
    • Berries (I’m a fan of blueberries, but to each their own!)
    • Carrot, green pepper and/or celery sticks
    • Hummus (pair it up with the vegetable sticks and it’s yummy!)
    • Guacamole (it can work as a dip, too!)
    • Clementine wedges
    • An apple
    • A banana
    • Cherry tomatoes
    • Pickles
  • Carbs
    • Oat cookies
    • Bread sticks
    • A good old sandwich (this one is too much for me, but it’s good for longer breaks)
    • Hard pretzels or pretzel rods
    • Dark chocolate (but do not overdo this one!)
    • Popcorn (same here!)
    • M&Ms (or similar, but in moderation)
    • Granola bars
  • Fats and Proteins
    • Nuts (I’m specially a fan of walnuts, but any one goes!)
    • Olives (pitless)
    • Cheese (wedges, mini cheese balls, diced…)
    • Yogurt
    • A hard boiled egg
    • Cold meats (diced, rolled up slices…)

The list, honestly, is endless, as are the benefits of regular and healthy snacking for students like you and me.

Theresa May Wants To Bring Back Ivory Trade

In addition to wanting to lift the ban on fox hunting, she also has dropped the Tory pledge to end the UK ivory trade.

The ivory trade is the commercial, often illegal trade in the ivory tusks of the hippopotamus, walrus, narwhal, mammoth, and most commonly, African and Asian elephants.

Around 20,000 elephants are killed by poaching in Africa every year, which means an elephant is killed every 25 minutes.

David Cameron vowed to “press for a total ban on ivory sales” in his 2015 manifesto, echoing a previous promise made in 2010 to eradicate the bloodthirsty practice.

However 2017’s Tory manifesto, released ahead of 8 June’s general election, makes no mention of the pledge.

She said that “Any ban on antique ivory is cultural vandalism, virtually akin to placing a ban on old books because they may be made from paper that came originally from now-endangered trees or antique furniture made from mahogany.”

Meanwhile, the Labour Party introduced a pledge for a “total ban on ivory trading” in its 2017 manifesto.


Vote Labour if you give a single shit about animal rights.

to be honest my biggest struggle while studying have always been falling asleep. i know lots of people like to drink coffee to make them stay awake but sometimes I feel like I don’t need to stay up THAT late that I need coffee, plus too much coffee isn’t good for you also I don’t want to stay up too late because of the caffeine then end up waking up really tired. Of course if I want to stay up REALLY late I’ll drink coffee but this is just my routine and what I do for most of days. since this works for me and has helped me I want to share it!

take a nap

some people may not have time for nap and that’s okay but if you do have time, taking nap will save your energy for the night. 1-2 hours are enough or just do it on how much time you have

study on your desk

study in bed or wherever that make you too comfortable will make you sleepy, so sit up straight on your chair and study on your desk. clean up your desk before, no need to be perfectly clean but just enough so you have space for all your books and laptop and not many random stuffs in front of your face. clean workspace will clear your mind. lay down all the materials you need, throw away distractions and just start studying!


THIS. this is the main key or the savior of our method/tips here. and i think this really works for me. as you may know, water is really good for our body and has a huge role in our body. water is the healthiest way to go in terms of what to drink. staying hydrated while studying is really important, because 80% of our body consists of water and nearly 85% of water makes up our brain so basically every cells in our body and our brain need water to work. The levels of oxygen in the bloodstream are greater when the body is well hydrated and lack of oxygen is what makes us feel tired/sleepy. I always have my water bottle when I study and drink it every 10-15 minutes, even when I don’t feel thirsty. Drinking lots of water will make you need to go to toilet so you’re forced to walk to the toilet and this is what helps you to be awake too.

study snacks

your brain needs nutrients so it’s important to feed it with healthy snacks. fruits are the best choice for study snacks, berries, grapes, bananas and chopped apples are great and easy to eat or just eat your favorite fruit! I like grapes for my study snack but sometimes I just have cookies or chocolate biscuits 

take breaks

always, always, always take breaks while studying. your brain will most likely to lose its focus if you’re studying for a long time without taking breaks, so taking breaks will improve your focus and refresh your brain. I like to take 5-10 minutes breaks every 25-30 minutes, but sometimes for history I like to take breaks once I finish one page. taking breaks can be tricky, they can lead to procrastination if you don’t do it right. 

things you can do while taking breaks :

  • stretch
  • do a little walk, just around your house
  • play with your pets
  • reply some texts (but do not get carried away)
  • watch a 3-5 minutes youtube video
  • eat your study snacks

things you CAN NOT do while taking breaks :

  • go to or lay down on your bed. DO NOT do this. it’s a trap. seriously. once you’re there there’s no coming back. DON’T TOUCH YOUR BED

this is optional but

I personally don’t like studying without any sound, music also keeps me awake so I like to listen to instrumental musics. I prefer listening to instrumental musics than regular songs because the lyrics will distract me and I will end up singing along. If you’re easily distracted by regular songs like me instrumental music will be perfect. when I’m not really in the mood for music I just play ambiance sound, and when it’s raining outside I usually don’t listen to anything because the sound of rain is enough for me. I know some people like to listen to regular song so just do what works for you!

Things To Do During That 5 Minute Pomodoro Break

Today was my first experience with the Pomodoro method (which is studying for 25 minutes, taking a break for 5 minutes, then studying for another 25 minutes, etc.) and it went so freaking well! 25 minutes didn’t feel like a lot, and I managed to study for 4 hours, which was really good as I was reviewing math and I usually quit about 1 hour in with that subject. 😂 I like this method so much that I decided to make a post about it. Here’s some things to do during that 5 minute break!

Drink a glass of water - I’ve been trying to stay better hydrated, so drinking a glass of water almost every 25 minutes is probablyyyy going to help.

Eat a snack - They say chocolate helps stimulate your brain, and what kind of fool would I be to argue with someone who’s telling me to eat chocolate? ;)

Do jumping jacks - or some other easy exercise just to get your butt to stop feeling numb from sitting.

Answer your text messages - I was chatting with 6 different people while trying to study, so I answered them when I could. 😂

Go to the bathroom - After all, you’ve drank, like, a gallon of water by now, right? 😂

Post a picture of your study space - This could be dangerous, as your 5 minutes on Tumblr could easily turn into 5 hours, so exercise this with caution. Of course, you could always take a picture and then post it later.

Organize stuff - I’m that freak that loves organization (one reason why office jobs appeal to me), so actually it’s really calming for me to make my bed, pick up my room a bit, or even just arrange my desk in preparation for the next 25 minutes.

Check social media - Again, exercise with caution! One moment I’m going through my Instagram feed and the next I’m watching glow up videos. 😬

WeHeartIt - My all time favorite app is WeHeartIt. I am so addicted. I love scrolling through it and salivating over all the pictures of cute clothes and bedrooms. (I’m a simple girl.)

Write in your journal - If you keep one, that is. I think it’s relaxing to journal or doodle.

Dance - I had to add this. 😜

5 minutes isn’t a lot, but it’s enough to replenish your drive, so use it well! Do something that relaxes you or something that gets you off your feet – depending on your mood. Math stresses me out, so I opt for relaxing. History can be dull, so for that I would choose something more energetic. Just make sure that when those five minutes are over, you’re back at your table and ready to learn. ^_^

Also, a YouTuber named Thomas Frank made this great video where he studies for 25 minutes. Watching it is sort of like having a study buddy, and it helps you keep track of the 25 minutes!
How to be productive after school 📖

Hii guys I @studyruels here to share tips on how to be productive after school and manage to relax and get the work done as well . so let’s begin
1)Read some kind of books immediately after you come from school for 15 minutes and then change or do your routine
2) After you are done with your routine , you should go on social media or relax a bit for 15 to 20 minutes
3) now when you are well - rested or relaxed you should get started with your work
4) Write down the goals you should accomplish that day and how much time you need to spend on it and see how much time you are left with .
5) Do the non-digital and difficult/boring work first so that you are awake and energetic .
6)Stay hydrated and snack on some fresh fruits or potato chips lol
7) take breaks after every 25 to 30 minutes session. (I’ll make a post on effective study breaks soon)
8)When you’re bored read a book or take a break and start after sometime
9) Manage your time by using apps like tide,brainfocus,memorigi etc and be focused
10) do not rush to complete your work,do it slowly and in a good manner and make it a good experience.

What can you do if you start losing interest in your islamic studies?

Salam Alikum

The main reason for losing interest in studying Islam is a decrease in one’s level of Iman (Faith). An increase in the decrease in the level of Iman in one’s heart is pretty normal – it happens to everyone. Some days we feel very zealous about worship and other days, it’s difficult to even concentrate during Salah.

So I advice you to work on increasing the level of Iman in your heart and your interest in studying about the religion will inevitably grow as a result. You can try the following to help increase the level of faith in your heart.

1) Do dhikr. Select a time during the day when you will recite a certain supplication (such as Istighfar, sending Salawat upon the Prophet SAW, Subhan’Allah, Alhamdulillah, La illaha illa anta..) and do this every day. It will help keep your Iman stable.

2) Listen to reminders. Do it even if you don’t feel like it because once you listen to a reminder with sincere intention, it will improve your Iman and make you more conscious of Allah SWT. I would recommend you and all those reading to listen to this series called Quran for Young Adults by Nouman Ali Khan (available at www.bayyinah.tv

3) Listen to Tafsir (explanation) of the Quran. Again, if your intention is sincere, it will undoubtedly increase your Iman and you will discover the treasures that the Quran holds. To start with, I would recommend the Cover to Cover Tafsir series by Nouman Ali Khan (available at www.bayyinah.tv and http://podcast.bayyinah.com/category/juz_amma/)

4) Try to establish Salah with khushoo and do all the Sunnah and Nawafil Salah as well along with the obligatory rakahs. It will help you draw closer to Allah SWT

5) Ask Allah SWT to help you increase your Iman by making dua.

6) Establish Tahajjud salah. You will see that when you wake yourself up for the sake of Allah SWT alone in the middle of the night (or maybe 20-25 minutes before Fajr adhan), it will just be you and Allah SWT. There won’t be anyone around to disturb you – sometimes not even your own thoughts. It can be very comforting and once you establish tahajjud salah, you will have a sense of purpose throughout the rest of the day because you will have that mindset throughout the rest of the day of doing things to try to increase your Iman.

7) Keep a voluntary fast for the sake of Allah SWT. Fasting increases the believers in Iman

8) Make  a list of a ‘good day’ in which you do everything for the sake of Allah SWT and measure this against your actual day to see where you are lacking and what are the things stopping you from getting closer to Allah SWT.  Conversely, you can also make a list of all the things you do as a Muslim that you shouldn’t be doing. By doing one of these two things, you are planting a seed in your heart – if you water this seed continuously by doing good and stay away from evil/sin, there is no way that the level of Iman in your heart won’t increase.

9) Keep the company of good friends – stay away from bad company. Don’t put yourself in situations that can directly have an adverse effect on your Iman.

10) Help people. If someone asks you for a favour or for help, don’t ever return them empty handed – no matter how small the thing they are asking you for is – grant their request and be conscious of doing it for the sake of Allah SWT.

The above must be done on a regular basis to achieve results. Once you do the above, you will automatically want to know more about Allah SWT, the Prophets life and what the Quran says and hence, your interest in studies of Islam will grow

In particular, I suggest that you select a time during the day (for example after Isha or Fajr salah) which you dedicate to your Islamic studies. It can be as short as 20-30 minutes but make it a part of your routine. Once you commit let’s say 25 minutes every day at a certain time to Islamic studies, you would have spent approximately 3 hours each week learning about Islam. I feel like this is the best way to commit yourself to studying about the religion – make it a part of your daily routine by selecting a time of the day when you do it. In order to maintain interest in Islamic studies however, you are going to have to take a good look at your lifestyle and try to stop doing things that are a direct cause of a reduce in your Iman and by extension, a decreasing interest in studies of the religion.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never thought of something like this.  I remember a post I had reblogged a while back called “The Dungeon Clock.”  That one should have the answers you seek.  Basically, you have a 0-12 “timer” every so often you roll a d12 and if the result of the roll is less than the count on the “timer” you have a random encounter.  If the result is greater, tick the “timer” forward by one.  Rinse and repeat.  

Starting Your Studyblr Journey

Hello my friends,  today I will explain how to start your studyblr and make your studies an important part of your life.

Your Blog

Starting your blog is really simple: you need a blog title, a URL address and a theme. It is a good idea to make your blog title, URL address and theme related so that your blog is easy to recognize by your URL.

I recommend that you make a tagged page for each subject that you do as well as for your original posts. To get more followers: make as many original posts as possible, add lots of tags to your posts and use your queue so that your blog is always active.

100 Days of Productivity

A popular trend in the studyblr community is the 100 days of productivity. The 100 days of productivity is when you have to do something productive everyday for 100 days. You also have to take a photo and post it on Tumblr. The idea is that you create a new habit and have people that you are accountable to. 

Studying More

If you are in the habit of not studying often I recommend that you start small. When I started my studyblr journey I studied for only an hour a day but now I study a lot more. I think that if you start a big new routine you will become exhausted and won’t be successful in sticking to it.

It is a good idea to make a study timetable so that you have a routine. This is my weekly timetable which is also the background on my computer.

I use the app FocusNow to focus my attention on my homework and studies. It is a time which records how much time you spend studying. For every 25 minute session that you study for you receive a virtual plant for your virtual farm. There is also a function which means that if you leave the app the plant dies.

Study Strategies

There are a lot of study strategies which are suited to different subjects and different people. For every subject you will need to take notes. It is a good idea to rewrite your notes after school or university so that you have a better understanding of the theory.

After I have finished my notes I do as many practice questions as possible. This is very important because if you apply your knowledge you will remember it better.

There are other study strategies which are useful and popular in the studyblr community. These include making mind maps. I used to this method study for geography and I sometimes  use it for chemistry as well. It works well for subjects where there are lots of concepts that are related to each other. Another useful study method is the use of flashcards to test yourself. This is useful if you have information to memorize which is why I use it to memorize my French verbs.  For subjects that have lots of notes I read my notes out loud so that I can read them and hear them at the same time.

You lay quietly on the brown leather sofa, watching ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ it wasn’t your preferred TV show but at this hour you had nothing better to do than watch it as you scrolled through your Facebook newsfeed, completely bored and gradually becoming needy. Unfortunately your boyfriend, Namjoon formally known as Rap Monster, was still at the BTS dance practice which usually ran for around 5 hours, you counted the time that ticked on, approximately 4 hours and 34 minutes had passed since practice started, he got a 2 minute break every 25-30 minutes, in which he would text you. However this text sounded almost angry, like he was in a bad mood with you, it read ‘make your way to the big hit building, use the pass I got you and come to the practice room as soon as we’re finished.’ It was so formal, no love hearts, kisses or smiley faces, very unusual for your boyfriend anyway, you decided to reply, formally too. ‘Okay Sir, see you in 25 minutes.’ You changed from your PJ’s into a navy blue cropped hoody, some black leggings, and black nike trainers. You threw your messy hair into a pony tail as you put on some light make up. After grabbing your bag with the pass, your phone and your purse in it you finally escaped your house jumping in your silver BMW before heading off to ‘Big Hit Entertainment’ You presumed that practice would run on a little late so the traffic you had been stuck in for 27 minutes didn’t bother you too much. You played some mellow, chill out music to stop the road rage, just as you exited the large line of traffic you received a text, figuring it wasn’t important you decided to ignore it. You where 20 minutes late but that wasn’t a big deal. “Hey Kyan” You spoke to the front desk worker, you had known him since you began dating Namjoon, “Hey Y/N, Rap Mon’s looking for you in the practice room” He spoke, like he had been ordered to do so. “Okay cool, see you later” You spoke happily, not having to show your pass. 25 Things I Wish I Would've Known

No one can mentally prepare themselves enough for their first child. No matter what age you are you are never fully ready for what is about to come. Here is my list of 25 things I didn’t know, but wish I knew about a new baby and being a new mom.

1. Unconditional love has never looked so sweet.

2. You will never have the “perfect” sleep ever again. Or at least until your child has moved out. Say goodbye to those zzz’s!

3. Sometimes, you’ll need to leave baby in a safe place and take a step out of the room to gather your sanity. Unless you have the patience of a dead man, this one is inevitable.

4. Breast feeding is HARD! Don’t give up, you’ll regret it after awhile.

5. They say you shed weight from breast feeding? I doubt that. I think you shed weight from never being able to sit down and eat a decent meal.

6. Sometimes. Peeing while holding your baby just has to happen… You’re not the worst mother in the world, I promise.

7. Baby’s two month vaccinations are hard on mom too, it’s okay to cry.

8. Babies can NOT be spoiled at three months, that is a crock of poo and studies stand with me on that. Don’t listen to your grandmother.

9. Hemorrhoids can happen after birth too. They suck.

10. There’s nothing more mind settling knowing that your baby is asleep, and now you can rest too.

11. It’s okay to call over a family member or friend to watch baby so you can have a shower. It’s probably needed anyways.

12. You go ahead, and you look at that baby, and you cry! You made that! You’re a superhero!

13. Your poor, poor nipples… They won’t ever be the same.

14. You really don’t NEED that change table. It’ll probably just get used for clutter anyways.

15. Babies smell lovely. Soak that up.

16. You’re allowed to bed share, you’re allowed to co sleep, you’ll allowed to put them in the crib. Whatever works best for YOU momma!

17. You rock that 5 day old pony tail, don’t let anybody tell you different.

18. No matter what the nurses say you don’t HAVE to look down there two weeks postpartum.

19. Cradle cap sucks and I have yet to figure out how to get rid of it faster.

20. Newborns aren’t known for their flawless skin let me tell you that much.

21. They grow fast, don’t spend all your time wishing they could walk, or talk, or crawl. Live in the moment now.

22. Swaddle. That is my only true advice. Unless you want your babe to be woken up by his own arm smacking him in the face.

23. Welcome all advice, take in what works best for you.

24. Don’t cheap out on a decent stroller. You’ll be using it for the next two to three years.

25. Love every minute of this precious life you have in front of you. Time goes all too fast in this world.

Sunday Sauce, Two Ways 

Two ingredients in one because I am feeling oh, so generous on this beautiful Sunday. 
Sunday sauce is an Italian tradition, and now that there is a beautiful Italian woman blessing my life with her presence, I am picking up a few tricks of the trade, with the main one being how to make an incredible Sunday sauce. It goes perfect with everything, and in these two recipes, I’ve paired the sauce with some fresh basil linguine and some creamy parmesan polenta. Both are sure to satisfy and please. I promise. 

Ingredients for Sunday Sauce 

2 ½ cans of whole, peeled San Marzano tomatoes 

1 large yellow onion, diced 

1 lb ground beef

½ lb ground turkey 

½ lb ground sirloin 

1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casing 

4 cloves garlic, minced 

¾ cup red wine 

Freshly minced parsley and basil 

Olive oil 

Red pepper flakes

Salt and pepper to taste 

Directions for Sunday Sauce 

In a food processor, pulse the tomatoes until they are completely broken down, with few chunks 

In a large pot, heat a few tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. 

Add in the ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper. 

Once all of the ground meat has browned, remove from the pot and set aside.

Repeat the above steps with the Italian sausage and set aside. 

Add in the onion and cook for a few minutes until it begins to develop color, about 5 minutes. If needed, add a tbsp of oil into the pot so that the onions do not scorch. 

Add in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Before adding the meat, deglaze the pan with the red wine, being sure to scrape the fond (brown bits) from the bottom, if any. 

Add in the meat and cook for 2 minutes. 

Add in the tomatoes, season generously with salt and pepper and red pepper flakes. 

Bring the sauce to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes. 

Reduce the heat to a low simmer and partially cover with a lid and let simmer for 3.5 hours, stirring once every 25 minutes being sure to scrape the bottom.

When close to finished, season with salt and pepper if needed and add in fresh basil and parsley. Dried oregano would also be a nice touch here. 

Ingredients for Basil Linguine 

1 cup flour 

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp minced basil 

2 tbsp cold water 

Directions for Basil Linguine 

On a flat surface (or in a bowl), combine dry ingredients + basil. 

In the center of the flour, make a small pocket and add in the egg, only slightly beaten.

Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is not pliable, add in 1-2 tbsp of cold water.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes and form linguine using a pasta roller. 

Once the linguine has been cut, dust with a bit of semolina (or flour) and let dry for about 20 minutes. 

Once dried, boil a pot of water and generously salt it. 

Boil the noodles for no more than 4 minutes. 

Drain and top with Sunday sauce. 

Serve hot. 

Ingredients for Parmesan Polenta 

5 cups water 

1 cup polenta 

½ heavy whipping cream 

1 ½ tbsp butter 

1 tsp smoked paprika 

1 tsp hot paprika 

1 ½ tsp granulated onion 

1 ½ tsp granulated garlic

½ cup freshly grated Parmiagiano-Reggiano + more for garnish 

Fresh parsley, minced 

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 

Directions for Parmesan Polenta 

Bring the water and heavy cream to boil. 

Add in the polenta while whisking vigorously to minimize lumps. 

Continue stirring as the mixture thickens. 

Season generously, reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for at least 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Add water, if necessary while cooking. 

Taste and adjust seasoning.

Once polenta is near complete, add in the butter and cheese, stirring to melt and incorporate. 

Remove from the heat, taste and season accordingly. 

Top with Sunday sauce, garnish with more cheese and fresh parsley. 

Serve warm.
