even though the case deals with a girl this applies to everyone

Homestuck Pool Party Headcanons

John: Canonballs in IMMEDIATELY, he is yelling and he is fucking excited move out of the way this boy is coming through!! Also, because he has a breath aspect I am 413% certain that he can stay underwater for indefinite amounts of time and you can bet your ass he’s going around grabbing people’s feet to freak them out. He and Terezi have a contest to see who can make the most people jump, I will not say who wins I will only say that it is unfortunate for everyone involved. He and Dave are an unstoppable chicken team, they have never lost and will do Whatever It Takes to make sure that remains true.

Dave: Is just chillin, he cares more about keeping his shades dry than swimming around. He will go hard as hell in Marco Polo tho, if you thought he was too cool to jump at the nearest person faster than the speed of light you were wrong buddy he will do what it takes to WIN. Also, when he is the Marco he will (unfairly) target Karkat. This is frustrating. “I’m not even being that loud” Karkat protests for the umpteenth time Dave tags him. “Bullshit” everyone else says, but there’s still a rule that Dave can’t tag Karkat more than five times in a row because really Dave we know you love hearing him yell but Enough Please.

Karkat: Is Bad At Marco Polo. He is so loud. My son. Please. Is very hesitant to get into the water at first bc he’s sensitive to the cold and would rather angrily sweat than deal with the initial shock of getting in. Dave will patiently chill nearby until Karkat is ready, or Dave decides that Karkat is ready in which he will absolutely drag him in. Karkat does not know how to swim so he won’t go past the shallow end, and considering how short he is, uh, that’s not very much of the pool. Dave has to carry him sometimes which he complains about A Lot but secretly kind of likes it whoops. Karkat and Sollux are the shittiest chicken team, Karkat is too afraid of falling in to have any sort of effective strategy and Sollux is like “Karkat just push him” and sort of plows into the other team which just leads to Karkat screeching and nothing gets done.

Roxy: LOVES SWIMMING WITH HER FRIENDS!!! Real people?? That she’s hanging out with?? And you KNOW she’s excited to wear that cute as fuck bikini she alchemized months ago ‘just in case’ ;) ;) ;). After years of knowing Jane and her silly prankster shenanigans, John will absolutely not get the drop on her no sir, he tries to grab her foot she will raise that leg and pull the boy out of the water and give him the Mom Look™. This is war. John will not win. She loves being with Jane and Roxy and her boys!! She is just full of so much love it’s incredible. She deserves this so much.

Calliope: Doesn’t know much about swimming or why humans (and trolls ish) find it so enjoyable, but Roxy is excited so she is too! Interestingly enough, cherubs Do Not Float. Roxy is waving a nervous Callie into the pool and she’s coming down the ladder and once it gets to her chin everyone expects her to do something but no, she makes it to the bottom of the pool and just walks like normal over to where Roxy is. The water level comes up to just below her nose and she has to tilt her head back to speak. “Like this?” She asks excitedly, ‘uh,,, yeah,,,like that’ everyone responds nervously, giving big smiles and thumbs up because they don’t want to disappoint her.

Jade: A master swimmer, she and Jake grew up on an island in the middle of the goddamn pacific my girl knows how to GO. No one realized how fucking ripped Jade was. Jade is ripped as heck. She’s got back and shoulder muscles like an absolute goddess and everyone is like holy shit? Jade? Have you been benching pumpkins all these years? She likes chilling with Jane and Roxy and Calliope because she has been longing for some gals to hang with forever. Not that she doesn’t love Rose, she does, it’s just, they have such differing personalities and anyways it’s kind of hard being around her and Kanaya bc they’re so cute it makes your teeth hurt.

Rose: She and Kanaya have matching floppy sun hats, they love laying out in the sun because Kanaya is a little nervous around water thanks to a certain sea-dweller *cough* eridan *cough*. Rose doesn’t mind, her swimsuits are more for show than swim anyways. She’s got some really cool and intricate goth-y ones and some nice lighthearted pastel ones, an orange and yellow fancy one-piece and a frilly lavender one. Rose has a new appreciation for sunlight but still religiously applies sunscreen because a home girl may be immortal, but fuck if she is gonna deal with any nasty sunburns after defeating the fucking embodiment of evil.

Kanaya: As previously stated, very nervous around water, but so so happy to be in the sun?? It’s not as bright as the one on Alternia which is fine because that means her troll friends can enjoy it too, but she’s literally just so happy to be around people that enjoy the sun the way she does because she’s felt wrong and different about it for years and she finally found someone that understands her ahhshshsjs. She designs all of Rose’s swimsuits and loves seeing her wear them. When it gets dark out, she likes to turn on the glow a little and all these cute little furry wingbeasts will flock to her?? “Those are moths” Rose tells her. “These are my children now” Kanaya pats Rose’s arm, they’re her children too because that’s how human marriage works she’s pretty sure

Dirk: Is so awkward oh my godddd, a little uncomfortable in his body actually? This boy might have muscle but he is all arms and legs and doesn’t know what to do with them because he’s never fuckifnfnfn been around people before. Doesn’t say “Marco” during Marco Polo, he just listens. Breath too loud? You’re tagged. Splash a little? Tagged. Move? Tagged. He’s never Marco for more than two minutes because he’s so in tune with his reflexes that no one even stands a chance. With Jake on his shoulders, they make a decent chicken team, but they’re too worried about each other to be effective. “You okay up there?” He wants to make sure. Someone is tipping Jake over oh no get him off my shoulders is he okay, oh he’s fine, yes I know how the game works Roxy, no Rose why don’t you get in the pool and do a better job before you come for me like that. Rose and Kanaya, in an extremely rare occurrence, do get in for a round of chicken. They beat Dirk and Jake almost immediately. They return to the deck. This never happened and we don’t speak of it.

Jake: Is bad at Marco Polo, he’s an amazing swimmer but he’s not…quiet. After growing up on that island, fighting and swimming, Jake is also Ripped as Heck. Dirk blushes his fucking ass off the first time he sees Jake shirtless. Jake acts all clueless like oh? What’s wrong Dirk? Is something the matter? But he knows exactly what he’s doing and if he’s subtly flexing in front of him, well. That can’t be helped. He may suck during chicken with Dirk, but with Jade on his shoulders? Hoo boy, they give Dave and John a run for their money. He is also John’s favorite to grab the feet of because his reactions are always so over the top with his phrasing. “Horsefeathers!” He grabs at his foot in panic because his first thought is it was one of the monsters from his island, then he sees it was just John who is laughing his ass off because, horse feathers? Really? “I say,” Jake huffs indignantly even though he’s smiling now. “Warn a fellow!”

Jane: Looks rockin’ in her swimsuits because she’s wearing the whole high waisted pinup style ones and?? She’s super gorgeous? Roxy makes sure to tell her that every five seconds just in case she forgets. She and Roxy make a decent chicken team, usually they’re laughing so hard by the end of it that whoever was on top can’t do anything and they fall off because they don’t care about winning they’re just having such a good time. She and Roxy take turns carrying Callie around when the water gets too deep, not that Callie needs to be above the water per se as she seems to have no trouble breathing, but it just makes everyone a little more comfortable and anyways Callie loves it.

Terezi: Killer at Marco Polo for obvious reasons, sometimes she gets tagged on purpose just to show off how quickly she can find people. The only person she’s never been able to get is John, he uses his windy powers to obscure his scent so she can’t “see” him. He is her Marco Polo white whale. One day, John, one day. She and Vriska are terrifying during chicken, Vriska will plow full speed towards the opposing team and Terezi is ready to Throw Hands. The most intense games are between them and John and Dave, both John and Terezi are on top and they fuckin battle it out so hard that Dave and even Vriska start to get nervous on the bottom.

Sollux: Says the water feels slimy. “No shit,” Karkat tells him. “It’s water you fucking shitstain.” Sollux cheats during chicken by using his psiionics to keep Karkat on his shoulders which only makes Karkat mad because he’s terrified of falling in and holy shit Sollux I don’t care what you think your powers are doing I’m gonna fall in fuck fuck fuck. “No I got you” Sollux assures him. He does not. Karkat is not got. Oh well. Sollux mostly likes chilling on inner tubes, plural. He has a blue one and a red one because he’s too tall to fit in just one. “Get a bigger inner tube” Karkat complains. “Perhaps get one of those long, recliner like ones?” Kanaya suggests. No. Sollux will use two inner tubes. He will make the sacrifice of comfort for his aesthetic.

Jungkook’s tone is excitingly stern, but not rude, “Yeah, I’ll show more respect when you show more respect to Y/N.”

You laugh, “Don’t worry about me, Jungkook. I don’t think I can take Jin very seriously, not when I highly doubt he’d even know how to make me or any other girl cum.”

The Aeta (Ayta, pronounced eye-tə), or Agta, are an indigenous people who live in scattered, isolated mountainous parts of the island of Luzon, the Philippines.

These peoples are considered to be Negritos, whose skin ranges from dark to very dark brown, and possessing features such as a small stature and frame; hair of a curly to kinky texture and a higher frequency of naturally lighter colour (blondism) relative to the general population; small nose; and dark brown eyes. They are thought to be among the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines, preceding the Austronesian migrations. The earliest inhabitants of the Philippines lived some 40,000 years ago.

The Aeta were included in the group of people termed “Negrito” during Spanish Era. Various Aeta groups in northern Luzon are known as Pugut or Pugot, an Ilocano term that also means “goblin” or “forest spirit”, and is the colloquial term for people with darker complexions. These names are mostly considered inappropriate or derogatory by fellow Negritos of northern Luzon.

The Aeta are the indigenous people of the Philippines. The pale skin Eurasians you see there today are Mongoloid – not Negrito. The Mongoloids are invaders to the islands. Those they could not kill they have tried to breed out. The Aeta have been dealing with genocide longer than the Australian aborigine, and long before any Europeans set foot on the island. Most people suffer some sort of cognitive dissonance around this issue. It is inconceivable that Asians are killing black people and Asians have been killing black people and stealing their land for ‘thousands’ of years. There is no stigma like that of the European slave trade. The Arabs and the Mongols have essentially gotten away with the mass murder of hundreds of millions of black lives. Most see the people of India as a race and not genocide. To be clear – Indian is a nationality not a race. People are not aware of truly how much suffering black people on this earth have had to endure. 800 years before the transatlantic slave trade there was the Arab slave trade. The Arab slave trade was still going on when the European slave trade began and has never quite ended. It is said that the Arab slave trade was equal to the European slave trade if not worse. Before the Arab slave trade the Mongols killed upwards of 40 million people (some estimates are as high as 80 million). At this early time in human history that is almost half of what would have been the worlds known population. The Mongol Empire eventually stretched from Central Europe to the Sea of Japan. The black people in China and Japan were genocided out of history (some say they still remain in pockets). The black people of Thailand(the Mani), Cambodia (the Khmer) and Vietnam (the Champa) are all still there despite the genocide. In India the black people there have been under attack for 3500 years. Today black people in India are extremely confused about their identity. Most people alive today still dont know how it is that black people came to have straight hair even though the science is there. This may come as a surprise but black people were even the first Hawaiians and Hebrews. Racism did not start in Europe. Racism started in the East and spread towards Europe, which explains why they were the last ones to take part in the enslavement of indigenous black people. What the Mongols couldn’t finish the Arabs took up and what the Arabs couldn’t finish the Europeans took up. WE HAVE HAD NO FRIENDS YET NO RACE COULD HAVE ENDURED WHAT THE BLACK RACE HAS ENDURED AND STILL BE ALIVE TO TELL ABOUT IT. WE ARE THE TRUE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF ALL TROPICAL LAND ON THIS EARTH AND WE ARE STILL HERE…

[Message for the racists that commented on this post]

I know exactly what I’m talking about.

None of our scholars used the word “colorism” because none of them saw the need to. It has only been popular for a couple years now and already I have seen this word used to cover up anti-black racism a thousand times over. Even when a situation is clearly anti-black racism rearing its ugly head people will say “colorism exists everywhere”… Even when all points are indicating that it’s black genocide and erasure, people are saying “colorism exists everywhere”…
All you hair revolutionaries and social services revolutionaries need to take a seat, and/or read a book.

“Shadeism” was a popular term long before colorism, and still is. Do your research. Pigmentocracry is also another term you should all get familiar with.
Those terms do not apply to this image, and neither does colorism.

Just in case you missed it: Those terms do not apply to this image, and neither does colorism.

It’s messed up that only one non-black person accurately saw this image for what it is. She wrote “98% sure that last girl is actually African and her white counterpart is….welll. not filipino”. The way the word colorism is being used is not serving our best interests. It should find its place among ethnic white people – where it belongs.

Black people fought to no longer be called “coloured”. As soon as we rid ourselves of that term – here comes “colorism”… I found that very coincidental, and suspect.

The word “colorism” may have some place (most likely among ethnic white groups) but as it stands it only serves to confuse the narrative. How many times did you hear Master Teacher MLK or Malcolm X use the word “colorism”? How many times did Master Teacher Dr. John Henrik Clarke or Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan use the word? Were you ever once confused by the words our black scholars used? What about the rest of our African historians? Did they too lack the intelligence? Do you think they lacked the proper vocabulary to express themselves? Could you dare think such a thing?

The struggle for black people is real. The Black Holocaust is real. Black Genocide is real. Anti-Black Racism is real. Black Erasure is real. Fix your lips and call this what it is. “Colorism” is a nice soft word like “colonialism” that white people use to make themselves feel better about what is happening and what has happened. They are two very watered-down definitions that mask the brutality and continual injustice and unjust circumstance black people are now dealing with.

Can white people say BLACK LOVE MATTERS?

Hi there, I was wondering; in a fantasy setting, should "ranged fighters," AKA archers or mages (especially mages), wear any kind of armor? One of my friends (who is a little too glued to the idea of using gaming terms for his fight scenes) doesn't give his ranged fighters much protection because "they have tank who will aggro," despite me telling him that in IRL situations enemies won't always work like that, and ranged fighters are deadly and would easily become top priority during battle.

Which works right until the tank can’t maintain aggro, then the DPS scatter, because of course they do, and everyone wipes because, turns out, it’s nearly impossible to hit two idiots on opposite sides of the arena at the same time with the same AoE.

…or the tank never slotted a taunt, and the healer ends up running from and DPSing Bloodspawn, while the DPS stand in stupid trying to revive each other. No, I’m not thinking of a specific event, why do you ask?

Games are, by nature, an incredibly abstract approach to combat. Even inside of an MMO, the sharp difference between how PvE and PvP plays out should be a pretty solid indicator of how fragile the entire concept of aggro is.

An AI driven NPC needs to know who to attack. In most cases they’ll prioritize incoming damage, and target whatever’s dealing the most. The entire idea of a tank is to fake out that number, boost it further, or in some cases, completely override aggro generation, and take the brunt of the enemy’s attacks. Which is downright hilarious, when you step back and think about it. You’re talking about sending a party of adventurers up against an ancient demon who’s been sealed outside of the universe for millennia, but he will ignore the people actively trying to kill him, because that idiot who’s doing almost nothing to him said some mean things about his mother.

As I understand it, and I could be wrong here, Tanking is something that has come, almost exclusively, from metagaming. The idea that, “well, players are going to take damage, so let’s concentrate it on a single player to make the healer’s job easier,” doesn’t have a place in the real world. I’m not sure if the strategy dates back to tabletop, or came from the early MMOs like Ultima Online or Everquest. As I said, it doesn’t have any basis in reality.

The closest you can get is the role of infantry and skirmishers in mass combat. But, at that point, sticking infantry between your enemy and your archers wasn’t about protecting the archers, so much as, that the infantry were your primary combat force.

Step into PvP, and the value of a tank diminishes sharply. Most human players understand that, so long as the healer is up, nobody’s going anywhere, so they become public enemy number one.  Hell, most of the times, when you give players an AI controlled encounter with a healer, your priority is clear. No, it’s not the big tanky guy/girl/sentient iguana with death rays mounted on its armor.

That said, I’ve seen a lot of games try to make the tank more valuable in PvP. Reducing enemy mobility, debuffing them, applying selective buff manipulation that makes a taunted target deal far less damage to other targets. All of it is a band aid on a system, trying to make the role function in an environment where the tank’s foes are smart enough to say, “nah, he’s not a problem, I’m going to wax the healer first.” Though, bonus points awarded to the games that just go, “screw it, the tank is the healer.”

Mages wearing robes is a setting or character decision. If armor somehow impairs a mage’s ability to cast magic, then that’s something they’ll want to avoid. If a mage isn’t, primarily, a combatant, and dislikes, or can’t afford, armor, they may avoid it for those reasons. That said, if armor doesn’t interfere with your mage’s ability to cast magic, they understand how to use it, and can afford it, not wearing armor is just being stupid (even if it is that character’s preference).

The whole concept of tiering armor based on the combat role is another gameplay abstraction, without a lot of basis in history. Armor was expensive. To the point that most rulers couldn’t afford to outfit large standing forces in heavy armor.  You got the best armor you could afford. If you were supplied out of an armory, you wore what you were handed, which might just be a padded gambeson.

Thing is, I rather like armor tiering. At least from a gameplay perspective. It informs the player what the armor they’ve found is useful for, and is very useful for deciding if the gear you just found is going to be helpful for your playstyle. In MMOs it can help break up players, so that you have an easier time identifying their roles. But, it is an abstract, game system, with no relation to reality. Trying to take these things out, and evaluate them outside of their native environment can be tricky. This is how you end up with characters who can instantly cram three hundred cheese wedges down their gullet to fully recover from being set on fire and flung off a cliff into the sea, hundreds of feet below.

Character Development Breakdown: Kagome Higurashi

Kagome’s development really has an impact on pretty much everyone she meets, herself, and the story itself. She starts out as a kind girl, that’s a bit spunky, but… falls victim to a lot of the things that teenagers her age do. Her idea of ‘love’ is only what one would know from books or TV shows, her ideal guy is the “prince” that every girl wants, until they realize that even the prince has his flaws, as does Kagome. That’s only naming a few.

Kagome’s development comes down to, maturity, her powers, her marksmanship, her view on love, and her emotions, and yes, even her school. While the basis of her character is always a nice and kind girl, her niceness develops, along with her maturity and understanding. Her view on things improves and becomes more powerful and more focused, and due to her growth in maturity, it changes. Her niceness can often be her biggest flaw, due to her insecurity and her lack of confidence, and often being too nice, causes these two to make an appearance, even if there isn’t a hint of doubt in what she wants to do, those negative emotions come through and she has to find herself dealing with them.

The Breakdown

Maturity: Now while it might seem at the beginning of the series, Kagome is very mature, she does have her immaturity that comes with her age, ignoring her grandpa’s stories and the gift that she received from her grandfather being pieces of this, her stubbornness plays a role in this, though it might be because of Inuyasha, though she does try to play the peacemaker between the two.

Her adjustment to the era could also play a role in this, since that does take a while, and that’s a factor of the environment. Which, is key, because her time in the past has an effect on her in her own time, as we see, she picks up aspects of that time, which add to her character, and the more and more we come across her friends, the more we start to realize that Kagome… doesn’t quite fit into the group anymore, she’s changing so much because of her time in the past, all that experience, that her friends can’t keep up with her.

This, as stated above, also applies to the positives of her character, she’s a very nice character, that is also a victim of her own niceness, she’ll help those out even if it puts herself in danger or it hurts her emotionally, that changes as her confident and security with herself grows, but for much of the series, that actually effects her negatively, due to insecurity and a lack of confidence, these aspects are targeted in numerous arcs, with her often having to come to grips with them, when it does. To give something of an idea of this, think of the Kaou arc… “I’m not strong, I’m being kind!”, so often her niceness is one of her biggest attributes, it does wonder for those around her, but it effects her in numerous ways at the same time, it’s something that she has to find a proper balance, but first she has to obtain the confidence in order to do so, it’s when she does, she not only becomes more mature, but emotionally stronger.

Powers: Her powers are an odd one, because she doesn’t have any control of them, and they come out in bursts, Kagome’s powers were the key to Naraku’s defeat, that’d been brought up on numerous occasions due to her powers often being the thing that Naraku wanted nothing to do with, or when he did he had to find a means to get around them. Kagome’s powers go through an odd development, because she does learn how to use them, but it isn’t until later in the series that we learn that she’s being held back by the jewel itself, and Hitomiko’s training also plays a key piece in developing Kagome as a marksman.

Marksmanship: Speaking of marksman, let’s tackle that. This one I always hear about people wanting to see her practice with a bow, and get better, we never actually see her doing this. This never really bothered me, mostly because she has plenty of targets possibly on a daily basis and often when their in a real battle, so one assumes that to be the case, but that also has me asking “What about Inuyasha?” he rarely if ever trains with his own sword, he’s not the training type at all really (sure the anime often liked to throw in a lot of aspects about this), but he does very little training. Needless to say, her shot improves through the series, and as it should be, it’s a slow process, she grows better and better, but doesn’t become an expert overnight.

Love: As mentioned about, Kagome falls victim to all the things teenage girls do, her idea of love is basically what you would expect from a prince in a fairy-tale, or a character from a drama, he’s perfect, often too perfect. Yet, she ends up falling for a guy that has quite a few of his own flaws, and even more-so, she actually learns what love is, not that shallow approach that TV gives us, but the real deal. This one I don’t think gets a lot of love (pun may-or-may-not be intended, depending on your sense of humor). When talking about love, it’s always about her relationship with Inuyasha, but let’s move away a little bit from that, and focus on a few things, namely, her interaction with Inuyasha is her first actual romantic involvement with a boy.

And we get to see every bit of it, we get to see her reacting with his attempt to kiss her, that flusters her, we see her reaction to him when he comments on her scent and talks with her, we see her thought process when he hugs her and her conflicting feelings. We see everything, all Kagome’s thoughts from a person that “think” she knows about love, to someone that actually knows what it is because she’s experiencing it, and we see every bit of it happens, we get her thoughts on things, we hear Kagome’s monologues in the series more than just about anybody else, and with this subject, she’s often the one that’s setting the tone, in fact, it’s often because of her confusion, that both Inuyasha’s and Kikyo’s relationship (or lack-there-of) are presented.

Emotional: This one really branches into different areas, love, maturity and her confidence, but also her ability to understand people better, she becomes able to read people. I feel the thing that best exemplifies this, is her words to Naraku about his actions, she gets a read on him that nobody ever thought about, nobody really understood, even Kikyo, who was supposed to know Onigumo, and who thought she knew Naraku better than anyone, couldn’t actually get an idea of what Naraku and Onigumo truly wanted.

And this ability isn’t something that she naturally has, her ability to understand people comes from learning about them, through thoughts, actions and words, and that’s more because she actually cares about people, or doesn’t get cocky and actually learns from each of her experiences. The latter is important, because Kagome has to constantly develop, she has to constantly learn from her experiences, because if there was one time, even one time during the series that Kagome didn’t, Naraku would have won, the jewel would have won. But because she learns not only about others emotions, but her own, she’s able to beat Naraku time after time after time. It’s this part of her development that strengthens everything about her, whether it be love, her powers, and most definitely her maturity.

Education: This is a funny one, because really the only thing you have to do is consistently hear about her school (which we occasionally do), and graduate. This one is of course more of a slow burn, but we do consistently hear about her work, especially early on, because the idea is in place, and then it’s referenced when she either talks about it, or has to go to her time to study for a test or make up some work (though there was never a schedule set, I’m sure there was at least a day or week (normally, sans when something involving Naraku happens and has to be taken care of). Anyway, of course, she does pass, and she does graduate.

Impact & Influence

I’ll say this right now, nobody in the series has a bigger impact than Kagome does, her development not only develops her character, she develops those around her due to her actions and words. To really put things in perspective, I have to do a character breakdown, because it’s much easier to sort.

Inuyasha: Perhaps nobody is a better example of this than Inuyasha, most of Inuyasha’s core development is due to Kagome, whether it be trying to become stronger, trying to control his demon side, coming to terms with who he is as a person, without Kagome’s own development, and without who she is as a character, we really wouldn’t know the kind of Inuyasha that we do. With that in mind, some of Inuyasha’s development also leads to development for Kagome in the process as well as their relationship.

Kikyo: Kikyo isn’t so much impacted (though Kagome’s powers and emotional strength play a part in her staying alive longer), so much as it’s Kagome that really puts everything into perspective when it comes to Kikyo’s relationship with Inuyasha. It’s due to her impact on Inuyasha, that Inuyasha is much more open, and Kikyo is able to see a realer Inuyasha, not quite the real deal, but a lot more than she saw during her time with him. It’s often due to her misreading things, that a lot of pseudo-development (development only through Kagome’s misinterpretation) is made for the relationship, not everything she thinks is true, but it sets there relationship into perspective, only to course, really put the entire relationship into perspective at Mt. Azusa.

Sango: This one has more to do with Kagome’s experience with her own brother, so they relate to one another easily, and Kagome plays the role of the emotional support until Miroku steps in to fill that role. And of course, Kagome plays a large role in getting Sango to join the group.

Miroku: This one is difficult, she doesn’t really have a whole lot of interaction with Miroku, a lot of their interaction seems to be more based around respect, she played a role in him joining the group, but at the moment, I can’t think of a whole lot for him.

Shippo: Kagome takes on the role of the mother to Shippo, and naturally when you’re in that role, the child not only grows, but the parent grows as well, Kagome finds herself in a role for a very mature person, and those earlier on she might not be best suited for that role, through time and development, she fits quite well into the role.

Naraku: I’d say, Kagome had as much of a impact on Naraku as she did on Inuyasha, but not in the same way. It’s due to Kagome’s development, both emotionally and power wise, that Naraku has to constantly adapt, and find ways to defeat her, much like Kagome has to adapt, develop and learn, Naraku has to do the same. Both have to try to be one step in front of the other, and this is a constant thing, from the moment Kagome’s destroys his body, he has to do everything he can to avoid her, or a find a way to protect himself from her. Of course, when you have an enemy like this, you development from one another, a hero is nothing without a good villain, and a villain is nothing without a good hero, and that’s what Kagome and Naraku are, their enemies, that have to always be ready for when they encounter one another, if not ready, prepared or willing to adapt, you lose. Is it any wonder why Naraku constantly comes out the loser, regardless of how much he tries?

Sesshomaru: Now argument could be made that she didn’t, but personally, I think that she did have some influence on him. Not many people can claim they not only talked back to Sesshomaru, but not many people, not named Inuyasha, have been able to hit him and live to tell about it, and that is especially true for humans. Now of course, Rin played the biggest role in what Sesshomaru became, but before Rin, Kagome had something of an impact on him, she showed that not all humans were cowardly and weak, and much of that leads to, their somewhat awkward interaction with one another. I’d argue that it was Kagome that caused Sesshomaru to respect her, ever as a human, while Rin was the one that showed him to care about humans, or people in general.

Kagome, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha all share one thing in common (and a bunch of subsets of that thing of course), at the beginning of the series, they all have immature elements to their characters, at the end of the series, their all adults, having learned and developed along the story. InuYasha itself is a coming-of-age story. Kagome as the main character, starts out as a teenager, and ends up as an adult, ready to take on the world. Kagome develops faster than most teenagers her age, but that’s due to the massive amount of responsibility that she has to take on, and all the experiences that she goes through over the course of the series.

Everything from learning about herself, growing in confidence, finding love, taking on the role of a parent, finishing school, at the age of 18, she’s pretty much way ahead of where she should be in her life, and it took a lot of work for her to get there, and we literally got to see it all, she grew up over the course of the story, right in front of us.

Enjoy - R.xx

Every month got better. Every month I fell more and more in love with this insane man… this insane, kind, generous, altruistic man. We fit so perfectly together it was almost scary; how well we knew each other’s minds and emotions. I could detect a stressed out Steve Rogers from twenty miles away. Steve could feel my anger pulsate through my blood vessels whilst being twenty feet below me.

I would walk in the door, there he would be with dinner all set. Steve would stomp his way to the gym down in the basement area of Stark towers, and I would be there in a flash, sitting against the thick, cotton-padded walls, talking to him while he struck the bag as if it was all of Hydra’s men in one three hundred pound cylinder. We’d talk, he’d loosen his tension that laid within the muscles in his shoulders. Soon he would join me on the cold marble floor. There we’d talk for ages, letting all the stress of evil lurking around every corner of our lives all go free in the vast gym Stark had designed for all Avengers to train in. We made each other whole, we made each other happier than the other could ever believe.

We really were the perfect pair.

On nights like this, we would feel the summer wind dance in our bedroom, swirls of cool breezes and gusts of warm wind somehow danced together, waltzing together to produce a perfect temperature for these summer nights.

Nights when we would talk for hours in bed, just holding cuddling our exposed bodies together under the white silky covers.Listening to Steve’s record player. That shabby, old record player would spin Charlie Chaplin’s The Flower Girl all day long, leaving the tune to remain in my dreams as I drifted off to sleep in Steve’s arms.

It was never hard to talk to him about issues I had. I had never struggled to tell him I was anxious about a mission, or I had uneasy feelings about the building we may be inside. Scoping out any vital intel or sick human beings who we’re terrorizing a city, country, or nation. Avengers did not stop at intelligence missions. We went on manhunts, and manhunts always left us bruised and battered, physically and emotionally. Normally we’d get a couple days to go into our hiding places and recharge for a new task from the hands of Nick Fury.

Today, however, we hadn’t even put our heads to the pillows before FRIDAY’s voice was echoing off our bedroom walls.

“Why is he calling us in, I haven’t even showered yet…” I muttered to Steve. He perched on his knees as I sat on our downy comforter. He was trying to wash the stained blood off of my face with a warm washcloth, soothing me so greatly; until we got the call.

Pulling back, Steve looked at me and smiled to see my face hadn’t gotten a scratch on it, just someone else’s blood that he could remove. I had my eyes closed with a scowl now sketched on my face. Chuckling at my obvious annoyance, he leaned up and softly kissed my lips, surprising me with my eyes still closed. I could feel his large calloused hands go up and hold my aching head as he deepened our kiss.

Once he finally had the strength to pull his lips away from mine, Steve opened his eyes to see mine slowly opening up to meet his strong, loving look. “I wish I could let you just sleep but seeing as I’m captain, we should probably-”

“We gotta get the show on the road, I know, blah blah, I know Captain Perfectionist.” Getting up slowly, I felt a weird head rush but ignored the heat that suddenly flew into my head, temporarily blinding me for a moment. I stumbled a bit but luckily Steve was already changing into his suit again, unable to witness my unusual imbalance.

I didn’t have one signature suit, so I got to dress in whatever combat clothes I preferred. The heat today led me to a black quarter length top and slightly loosened black skinny jeans. I needed my legs to breath in case I had to go on a chase and I couldn’t be stopping to unzip my pants to let my thighs breath. Slipping my hair into a messy ponytail, I saw in the mirror that it was still tangled with crusted blood in it.

Steve picked me up and trotted over to the door before putting me down, “Let’s go lazy bug.” I slumped down and walked out the door, my arms were hunched over with a gray hoodie I was able to snatch before leaving our room. I used the hood to cover my fucked up hair. I glared up at my boyfriend who tugged me into the elevator, getting his professionalism on.

Slowly, though, a small smirk was forming on my lips, “Really? Lazy bug?”

Smiling down at me, Steve gave me a small shrug and kissed my shoulder while sneaking his arms down and around my waist. The elevator doors closed and we shot down to the Floor 11.

“I call you ladybug and your lazy today, I think it fits perfectly for you.” I didn’t argue from my excessive exhaustion and just held onto his arms tighter, feeling Steve’s soothing kisses on my head, protected by the hoodie. “You are a real nerd, Rogers, anyone ever tells you that?”

“Yeah, actually. Not so long ago, when I met this breathtaking woman, she smiled at me with these pearly white teeth and rosy red cheeks with speckles of freckles. I remember she said I was a giant nerd after I tried to explain to her that the laws of physics do not apply to vibranium because of it’s unnatural chemical makeup.” Okay, I had to smile at that one. The memories of our first time hearing each other’s voices speak, of our hands grasping each other’s, feeling that electricity between us. I saw it all like it was yesterday. A yesterday I wished to go back too.

The team filed in, all looking like they went to a rave that turned into a murder mystery party. Natasha had two cups of Starbucks, one for herself and one for me. Vision had just learned to make tea, and so Wanda quietly sipped on her Oolong Black Tea while I took a seat next to her, folding my legs underneath me, not caring about professionalism when half of us looked like hell. The only ones in track? Natasha, Steve, Vision, and Bucky. The rest of our sorry asses had to deal with ‘walk of shame/morning after’ look.

“Look, I know you’re all pissed we’re in here right now, I am too-”

An irritated Tony interrupted Fury, “Then why have you summoned us here?” he scratched the raven hair that was splayed all over his head.

“Believe me Stark, I wouldn’t be here unless it was for an urgent matter.” A stack of a case brief packets smacked down on the conference table. Taking a small peak over the title, I suddenly felt sick to my stomach and frozen all over.

I took peeks at everyone in the room and saw different yet, appropriate reactions to what they must’ve been seeing or reading about the case that I knew all too well about.

“We’ve received new information on case 27. Agent 11, this the first case you ever had. Even though.. we cut it off, because of unfortunate circumstances,” My pulse raced as all eyes shifted to my shrunken body in my chair, I was hiding in my sweater, trying to become a sort of chameleon and blend into the room. I was having no such luck.

“What… was the unfortunate circumstance?” Natasha, who was the only one with the balls in this room to ask the question that was lingering on everyone’s lips.

Everyone except; Tony, Steve, Fury, and I. We knew about the deadly case at hand far ago, and I had a feeling three out of the four were okay with finished the unsolved mission at hand.

Tony stepped up, helping me out by telling the team the deal with Case 27, so I didn’t have to. The words he spoke made everyone’s hair stand up, gathering goose bumps down their arms and legs.

“So we found a very important target that would nail this case right on the bullseye. You’ll all be sent out to Italy, where the group will be residing. This man,” Fury pointed to the projector, and a nasty man I knew as Fredrik Vulrochiv, was shown. “We need to take out- but interrogate the bastard first.” Nick’s eye landed on Natasha, who rolled her eyes and eventually nodded in agreement of not shooting the guy the moment she would meet him face to face.

“Listen, this isn’t going to be easy. These are manipulators, they twist your words as hard as they will twist your bones, breaking them one by one.”

“Man, I am really loving this the more I hear it…” Sam grumbled, tossing his packet on the table, he sighed and rubbed his eyes. All I could do was just stare at my unopened packet. Blankets of fear for the journey down horror lane that I was going to go on covered my body, suffocating me.

“We all have assignments and different area to cover. I say we get ourselves familiarized with the area before we land in four hour-”

“No. I won’t allow it.” Everyone’s head slowly turned towards at a very tense, Steve. Along with him was a slightly irritated Bucky, sitting below Steve, at his side.

Tony’s eyes ignited in a slightly flaming annoyance at the ‘perfect’ soldier, Tony always carried a love of antagonizing Steve at any expense. “What’s got your knickers in a twist this time, Rogers?”

“I don’t want to start with you, today. Stark, I’m sorry, and Nick I’m sorry as well, but this case was closed for a reason. Besides we’d all need to know how to handle that kind of nuclear weaponry lying there, as well as the bodies ready to murder us the second they get a whiff of our scent.”

“That’s what an intelligence briefing is for Captain. Sorry to be the one that shits on your parade, but this is happening. I want this case down and finally burnt in hell, where it belongs…”  I could feel Nick’s stare at me but I refused to look anywhere but my shoelace that was untied, waiting to be redone by my quivering hands.

The room was silent for a few moments, Steve was aggravated and I was destroyed, but what broke my statue state was Wanda’s sniffles. She had tears running down her blotchy cheeks, ones that she tried to wipe away, “I’m sorry, sorry-”

She apologized to the group as she patted her cheeks with a tissue. I finally let my head rise and found her brown, glowing eyes, glittering with tears as she stared into my soul, seeing the horror that was The 27.

“How much is the risk?” She asked me. No one understood except me because I knew she was reading my thoughts as well, and I was weighing the risks and the more this case became real to me, the more the scale tipped in the Devil’s favor.

So I just shrugged my shoulders, picking at my dirty, caked nails. I softly muttered to her, though, wanting to let the room leave me be in my little humble chair in the back of the room. “Around seventy.” Wanda let out a sob, shaking her head as she stood up, knocking her tea all over the table, “Please, YN! No!”

“No!” Steve suddenly roared. Stalking over to me, he leaned down to meet my scared, doe in headlights, eyes.

“You can’t sacrifice yourself, doll. I know that’s… this is y-your… your mission. I… I-I need you to stick around here for a long time, though, and so does everyone else,” The group nodded, even Fury who had a glint of guilt in his eye that watched me.

“Steve, this is my life and these are my decisions. I went in on Case 27. It’s my Hydra if that makes you understand any better. Just look,” Standing up, I gathered some courage from god knows where, and walked to the front where the pictures of Case 27’s last mission we’re shown. I clicked the right arrow and the team gasped when they finally were projected onto the screen.

The photos that appeared we’re of the gruesome aftermath. Men, all around… the good people and the terrible people, it didn’t matter because they all were just bodies now. No longer souls. In the middle of this mass murder mess, was a small woman, caked in dirt, blood, and scars that still littered her arms today, that woman was me.

After the secret war of 1999, I had gone on my first ever Captain-mission. The task was to end these warp-minding men who used the power of trickery into gaining more and more of an army. They wanted full control, of not just a country, or even a continent. No, they wanted the world to bow down at their feet. They use to be quite prominent in the papers, but the new died down of them when the group seemed to have ‘gone under’. I knew better than that. They’re probably lurking somewhere, in the shadows maybe. Or in plain sight, all I know is that they never left me.

Their words, knives, bullets, laughs… all haunted my dreams, my happy moments, my memories…I almost had those bastards,  I should’ve seen the mistake I had made instantly. I didn’t though because life isn’t happy endings. That moment in my life, that mistake I made, cost twenty members of SHIELD, their lives. I had just miscounted the men, I misjudged their defense force. I missed two vital things a Captain needs to be on top of.

I had been attending to a wounded fellow member when a bullet ripped right through my left lung, lodging itself in there quite painfully. The teammate I was trying to save just smiled at me, squeezing our bloody hands together, he laid his head back on the ground as I screamed in pain and sorrow for the fallen member. I took out my assailant and left the mission unfinished.

I knew that the enemies had called for backup and I was expecting them to arrive at any minute. So I saved myself that night, only myself. Leaving, I had twenty intelligent, determined SHIELD members at my side. I arrived back at SHIELD with carrying only one remaining body back into Headquarters; my own.

It was abnormal to hear Bucky’s voice boom during conference room meetings but I guess he found some spirit inside to rise on his feet and stomp on the ground like a fussy child, “Please, I’m begging no, Nick. She has a vendetta against that group! She’ll only go in as a suicide fighter and you know that!”

Walking over to Fury casually with no threat in his movements, Bucky still managed to make Tony tense. Which I had caught in the corner of my eye. “Barnes-” “No. I went up again those band of…assholes, in 1990, Paris. Even they outsmarted me, that was before they even gained their mass weaponry that they possess now. I was with five other winter soldiers, trainee’s of mine, we all made it back. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing I don’t know!”

He glanced at Tony who had a snarl on his face from the mentioning of the extra Super Soldiers that were obviously now dead. “Yeah… I killed a few dozen of the dicks, but the rest… they are not human. They have no soul, no brain to logically think about anything but killing whoever gets in their way! We, do not have the power to get through this mission-”

“You’ll get this mission done. You’ll get it done with a smile on your face too, Barnes. All of you, I don’t care about vendettas. Frankly, we could use one at the sound of your weak asses.” Bucky squinted at Fury’s backhand words towards him.

“Listen, we gotta get them this time, guys. We don’t have that much time left.”

“Before?” Tony questioned.

“Before they…create something that would change the world for the worst. This needs to be carried out today, no exceptions. I’m sorry, Agent 11. I’m sorry, Steve, but this is final.”

Looking around the room, not one face was readable. I had no idea what they were thinking as they read over their briefings. Some gasped, some held their head in their hands.

I did, however, immediately detect anger in Steve’s eyes. I had to look away from him before I felt guilt build in my chest. Looking towards my best friend, I could see a small amount of pain peaking out of Bucky’s eyes.

As much as I’d like to say that I was brave and felt confident when I carried out those orders, I can not. Because, truthfully, I was shaken to my core the moment we had gotten ambushed. I was blinded by fear and past memories invading my mind I didn’t even realize that the conference room had emptied, leaving me and my brief packet… and a furious steve.

He kept his jaw locked as he saw down next to me. Normally, Steve would know what to do with missions where he felt my life was in peril. He’d come to my side and ask what to do, and that’s when we would go to the beach and sit on our blanket Wanda had knit for us for Christmas.

That was our moment to think, get away from the walls of Stark towers and let our minds drift away by the sea’s breeze.

This time though…he had no words, nothing to tell me it would be okay, or that I needed to stay behind for my own safety. We knew everything about this mission. The good, the bad, and the evil that laid ahead.

The only response I got was a warm hand wrapping over my icy, pale, bluish hand. I smiled at his large hand dominating mine, it gave me somewhat of a feeling of protection. Maybe not tomorrow, or even in 12 hours. But in this moment I felt his protection covering me like a forcefield.

“We’ll be okay, alright…we’ll make this out alive, YN, because we’ve got the whole team on our side. Okay?”

I left a small smile on my face when looking up at Steve’s panicked eyes, scanning mine for any trace of fear. He couldn’t find any, though because I didn’t have any. I knew what was to come, and he knew too. That was the most frightening thing of all, no fear meant no worries. No worries meant that being killed wasn’t one her mind anymore, it was fading in the background. She no longer was herself. YN was a soldier, ready a mission with no strings attached to her life anymore.

“Listen, YN. Please, do not do this, and leave me here. I let love slip away once, and I can not have that happen again, not when I’m so in love with you, I’m fucking terrified…”

A small gap was on YN’s face when he spoke, he never even said shit, and he jumped all the way to number two on the scale of swears! Looking at Steve, YN could help herself, she couldn’t let the tugging of his heart grasping hers, go. She loved it, honestly, YN loved the feeling of his love. He made sure to show it, whenever he could. If this mission went south, and YN was going to spend the rest of the summer in the hospital, she knew that it would kill her to have Steve in pain that whole time.

As much as it was easier going her way, she swerved towards Steve’s heart, letting it take her own heart, prisoner.

Grasping his shoulders, she hugged him to her body. Steve wrapped his arms around YN, letting her cry on his suited shoulder. He couldn’t tell whether these sobs were of pain or relief. He couldn’t tell whether YN was crying from relief or from the pain of having to stay alive. Her nails dug into Steve’s suit, but it was no matter. He knew that YN wasn’t leaving this base as a woman with a death warrant. She was leaving with a reason to live.

“I’ll make this out alive, Steve. I promise. I’m not going to leave the man I’m madly in love with alone. If I did, I’d be hurting us both because leaving you, is like having to rip out part of my soul and leave it with you until I return. I want my soul, Steve. You are my heart and soul, don’t forget that. Ever.”

A tear strayed from his eyes that looked like a cloudless sky, glossed over with water that he wanted to be kept inside, but couldn’t seem to control. Steve kissed my wet, salty lips that smiled against his. A feeling of relief washed over me once I realized I wasn’t going to be gone within hours, I was going to be here, fighting with my wonderful, courageous man that would stop at nothing to end all evil, but more importantly, would not sleep, eat, or think, until he had his heart and soul back in his arms again.

“Why do you have to be so damn perfect, Steve Rogers?”

the other one | alfie solomons

anon requested tommy’s twin as a nurse and alfie and this is what i made

Being bundled out of the house in the early hours of the morning by your brother’s lackeys to an undisclosed location was becoming a surprisingly common occurrence.

“Can you at least give me a general overview of the incident?”

“Right, pull over”

You opened the car door while it was still moving and the men in the car cried out, throwing their arms out. The guy driving slammed on the breaks and you pulled the door closed slowly, your point made.

“I need to know what I’m walking in to. I need to know what kind of injuries I’m going to be seeing to know what resources I’ll need. I only keep the basics in my home kit, if this is something else I’m going to need to drop by the practice. Everyone keeping schtum nearly made the last guy lose his arm because I walked in unprepared. Now give me the rundown or I’m getting out this car and walking home”

“Isn’t that again your ethics?”

“You work for a gangster and you’re talking to me about ethics? Honestly?”

Hogwarts Houses (Chocobros)

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, even though it’s a pretty stock post to make as a headcanon blog. I was also initially going to do the ones for the Girls first but I found it easier to get the bros done before them. Also please feel free to chat with me about any of these.

Sidenote: I’m taking the other media (in this case Brotherhood) into account as well.

Gryffindor. A common sorting for him, I’ve seen it often. The biggest reason I say so is how much he matures by the end of the game and how he’s prepared to carry out what his destiny requires of him. Nothing braver than that. Before that though, we can see it even in Brotherhood where he has an almost brash way of looking at life. The way he lashed out at Ignis in the anime comes off very much like an immature Gryffindor to me. There’s also how he used to sneak away from the castle when he was younger, which indicates he has an adventurous side to him too. And I think it’d be fair game to say that putting up with everyone reminding him how his father will die someday (as in having to be King someday) by those around him can be considered another sign of bravery.  His character also seems to dislike the restrictions that come with being a Prince and Gryffindors are typically free birds. A favourite of mine is how he was willing to cover for Iris when he knew Gladio would be absolutely livid over her running away. Standing up for others is very Gryffindor.

Gryffindor. I don’t think this one is too surprising, since I’ve seen others sort him into Gryffindor too. To elaborate on my reasons though, he’s a lot like a Neville!Gryffindor than a typical Gryffindor. He has this hidden inner strength that shows in times of duress, for those who’ve finished the game you can understand why I say that. He’s also pretty courageous, when looking at how he found a way to keep going even when he was miserable as a child. And looking at his childhood further, he seems to have a proactive and determined attitude. And I say this in terms of how he focused on losing weight, and  becoming more sociable so he could befriend Noctis. Or, in terms of how he was prepared to stick by Noctis’ side no matter how tough it got. Showing that he’s also very loyal. And while that’s a very Hufflepuff trait as well, his other qualities tell me Gryffindor is where he belongs. Most importantly though, Gryffindors like to stand up in the face of what’s wrong and I think that’s one reason for why Prompto continues to stay by the other bros’ side. Because he wants some kind of justice for what happened to Insomnia.

Hufflepuff. I was going back and forth on whether he was a Slytherin or Ravenclaw but I settled on Hufflepuff. It seems odd, I’m sure since the common consensus is Ravenclaw for Ignis. but let’s look into it. Hufflepuffs are generally loyal and hardworking. These two qualities initially had me peg Gladio for a ‘Puff but the more I thought about it the more it applies to Ignis. Staying by Noctis’ side and making the effort to get him to take life more seriously is a big deal. He’s dedicated his life to Noctis and grooming him, with the latter task being pretty demanding. Hufflepuffs are big on common sense and words over actions in times of conflict, and even though Ignis fights in the game, you can probably see in his characterisation that if he has the chance to, he’d rather not fight. He’s also pretty selfless and cares about the well being of the team. The way he cooks for everyone and even in gameplay I’d say his Regroup ability is reflective of this. The dedication and group-centric focus he shows tells me he’s a Hufflepuff.

Slytherin. I haven’t see this sorting often, so to some it may seem odd. But Slytherin is a good fit for Gladio. One Slytherin trait that sticks out to me as pointedly Gladio is a deep rooted respect for tradition. Being an Amicitia is very important in the Lucian Royal Court and we see that Gladio has fully embraced the role this involves. Never once does he shirk his duty as the King’s Shield. His loyalty can be considered a trait that puts him in either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, but in his case the loyalty is a result of the importance he gives the Amicitia’s duty. Not to say that he doesn’t care beyond that, to me personally it just looks like that’s where his sense of loyalty stems from. He seems to also have great social skills (as noted by Prompto) and the fact that he doesn’t seem to resort to violence immediately (as shown by him taking a hit for Noctis and getting that scar), while still being prepared to raise his sword if need be, also owe to why I sort him this way. Slytherins also tend to be resourceful, and I’d be willing to say that can be tied into his Survival skill. All in all I think the strongest aspect to this sorting is how he values tradition. Take that away and his sorting would be different.

Carisi-centric thoughts on Ep 18x19

For once, lol.

Needless to say, LONG POST.

Overall Thoughts

I liked it? What?

It felt like an episode from a previous season. I checked, and it appears two of the “old” writers wrote it. One of whom also wrote Know It All and Great Expectations, namely some of the best least terrible (and more true to character) episodes of the season. I don’t think that’s a coincidence. When a writer knows the characters well, it shows.

Let me get one negative thought out of the way: just when I was enjoying the episode, what do you know, the rapist turned out to be sympathetic again! Good ol’ Season 18. I have to say, though, that in this particular instance, in this specific episode, this was probably done for the sake of the totally predictable twist. The message wasn’t “oh but he’s a nice guy,” it was “he’s a victim too,” and that’s a pretty classic SVU trope.

Still, I didn’t appreciate how the episode tried to equate the experience of the victim and the rapist, nor the fact the actual rape was practically glossed over (via that favorable-ish plea deal) in order to target the “real” bad guy. Again, SVU has done that before, many times, and the reverend sure was a bad guy, but I did not like that ending. The rapist was almost excused for his actions, and the reverend willingly sacrificed himself to keep all that money and continue to help the needy. Like, they are the criminals in this story. No need to make them so noble. At least they could have had the reverend weeping for his cash.

I did, however, like that the girl seemed okay in the end, she had accepted both what happened to her and who she was, and she seemed more free. Also, she didn’t totally renounce her faith, which I think was a nice touch.

Barba Thoughts

For once, the show managed to find the most interesting (legally) speaking aspect of a case, and stick with it. It was smart to use the first amendment to defend rape as an expression of religious beliefs. It was an (extreme but) interesting legal argument, even if the writing was a little bit murky on that. As mentioned, rape condoned by a religion is still rape by secular laws, but the real issue is consent. If the victim, even in retrospect (due to manipulation, in this case) were to say, “I consented,” that would be the end of this case. Fortunately, Liv was there to convince the victim to testify, as is her wont :D

But back to the law, and back to Barba. Barba cited actual cases! Multiple times! My word! And there was an entire scene of him and the defense attorney in the judge’s chambers, presenting intricate legal arguments! Like, there was an actual discussion of the law! What? I was pinching myself the entire time.

Okay I’m sorry for all the capslocking but Barba was actualLY DOING HIS JOB?????!!!!!1

Speaking of spectacular, let’s get to Sonny :D

Sonny and Continuity

The show remembered Sonny is Catholic, and wanted to become a priest, and grew up in the Church. I appreciated that reference to his teen years, when he seemingly idolized the priests in his life. That’s consistent with what we learned in Unholiest Alliance (which, according to imdb, was written by the same writer who wrote this episode, so that would explain it).

But it’s also consistent with Sonny’s (prior) characterization. It’s one thing to say “my priest saved my life” (as Sonny said in the somewhat similar Duggars episode, last season), but to say “if a priest told me to jump, I’d only ask ‘how high?’” is very different.

We know Sonny has a tendency to get attached to the authority figures in his life (Liv, Barba), and we know he has a desire to impress them, to earn their approval. If you take that quality of an adult Sonny, and try to apply it to a teenage Sonny, with the added element of faith and God? Yeah, I can imagine how badly a younger Sonny would want to get God’s approval. That was an almost throwaway reference, but it really told us a lot about Sonny.

As did that final interrogation, with the reverend. Sonny knows how to hit them where it hurts, and he really handled that masterfully. But one detail I’d like to focus on was the way he casually accepted the fact that guy’s church had done some “good things.” It reminded me of his treatment of Rudnik. Sonny is able to perceive and acknowledge goodness, if and when it exists, even in the darkest of people. That’s classic Sonny.

Sonny and Religion

I also appreciated the confirmation that, while Sonny is faithful, he is not blind to the faults of the Church. Or to the misinterpretations of God’s will. Regrettably, there was a deleted scene which went into Sonny’s beliefs in depth (here), but we didn’t get to see it. Still, the script alone is enough to confirm everything I’ve always suspected about him and his faith.

“I don’t pretend to understand what God wants for me. But my take has always been, “Do unto others.” And I wouldn’t want anybody telling me who I could or couldn’t love.”

That’s the perfect encapsulation of Sonny’s attitude. No judgment, no presumptions, but also a healthy reverence for God’s will and the mystery it truly is, for those who are faithful. ‘Do unto others’ is truly Sonny Carisi in a nutshell. It’s both empathetic (because Sonny can easily put himself in someone else’s place) and open-minded (because Sonny believes everyone should get to choose for themselves).

And the reference to love, that’s important as well. A lot of people who grew up in a more strict religious setting can’t help internalizing some of the more conservative teachings. Even if they disagree as they get older, it can be hard to shake the beliefs they grew up with. Sonny seems to have succeeded in doing that. His take is defiant, and confident, and meaningful.

“Don’t tell me who I can love.” End of story. I truly wish we had gotten to see Sonny saying that, because I think it’s important to see a young macho (as of late) white guy expressing such kind-hearted and progressive views, but at least we did see him saying this:

They’re kids. With normal sexual desires. But you made them feel they had the devil inside them.”

That needed to be said, and I’m happy Sonny was the one to say it.

The Barisi Corner

The Barisi Corner, Part 1

(yes there are 2 parts, one for each scene. don’t judge me, this was a long time coming)

I loved the first moment, at the precinct. The entire squad, plus Barba, were discussing the absurdity of using the first amendment as a justification for rape. Sonny had some thoughts on the subject, almost as a devil’s advocate (no pun intended), and he tried to express them, but of course Barba cut him off, because that entire theory is crazy. There’s no such thing as blanket consent. Even if the girl agreed in abstract that rape can be a “cure,” she would need to consent in the moment, and that consent could be withdrawn at all times, as Barba pointed out.

Sonny kept on. Respectfully. Without yelling or getting mad. Sonny agreed with Barba, of course, but that wasn’t the point he was trying to make. That’s why he didn’t let Barba’s interruption stop him. He was, again, respectful, all “of course, but I’m just saying, hear me out,” etc., but he stuck to his guns. He showed the appropriate degree of deference to an experienced ADA like Barba, but he kept talking.

And Barba kept listening.

Sonny’s point was that the case was tricky, and the victim was confused and easily manipulated, so a good defense attorney (btw I love this defense attorney, I had missed him!) would “lather that up” into consent. What a great phrase, and what a Sonny Carisi phrase, frankly. Punctuated by the classic Sonny Carisi gesturing :D

Barba’s reaction to Sonny’s totally accurate (and prophetic) remark?

“…I agree.”

Simple as that. No snark, no sass. Barba was smizing the entire time, of course, but this was about work.

I mean, the fact they even spoke to each other was progress, but the fact they had a cordial conversation about the legal aspects of the case, and they came to an agreement? WE ARE BLESSED :’)

I always love it when the show remembers Sonny is a lawyer, and he can actually argue the specifics of a case (here, the strategy of the defense) with Barba, in a way the other cops can’t. That hadn’t happened in a long time. When Liv suggests something (like playing that tape, last week), it’s more intuitive and less strategic. More “this is the right thing to do,” and less “this is the smartest move for us right now.” Sonny thinks like a lawyer. Like Barba. And Barba knows and appreciates that.

This season has done away with any and all personal plots and characterization and interpersonal dynamics, but this one scene allowed me to fanwank it as progress. To pretend we didn’t just watch a boring scene about the law. Instead, we witnessed Sonny and Barba being totally professional, and in sync, and working together as equals. Analyzing a case, listening to each other’s points, and coming to an easy agreement. We basically witnessed an ideal working relationship :’)

The Barisi Corner, Part 2

I also loved how Sonny sat in on that meeting with Barba and Liv, when they spoke to the rapist and his attorney. There was no reason for Sonny (or Liv, lol) to even be there, technically, but that was less of a meeting and more of an interrogation, so Barba relied on his two most trusted police officers :D

I think Sonny was there because he could relate to the guy, having been raised in the faith. Barba (again in Unholiest Alliance, by the same writer) was clearly aware Sonny is a “good Catholic,” so I think he may have suggested it. Or Liv could have. Cozying up to a perp is the old Sonny’s go-to move, and this case demonstrated that perfectly. Sonny was the only SVU cop able to display a genuine understanding of the boy’s faith, but also his blind adherence to the reverend’s commands. That’s why Sonny mentioned his own relationship with the priests in his youth.

Sonny was in that room for that explicit purpose. That’s why he was sitting there, all sprawled out and sexy, ready to get up and pounce. He practically took over the interrogation, with Liv and Barba chiming in here and there. I think all three of them (BARSONISI ALERT) agreed that would be their best play, and they possibly even practiced it. The best way to get the kid to crack. To understand that, just like Sonny said, it’s not right to quote the Bible to justify a crime. I loved Sonny’s confidence, in that scene.

Speaking of confidence and Barisi, I LOVED it when Sonny got all sassy, saying, “let’s hit this guy where it hurts the most,” and Barba was smiling like “that’s mah boyfriend, I’ve taught him well!” I just loved that. We hadn’t gotten a real, solid friendly look between them in so long. I’m glad Sonny got to deliver the cocky line, for once, and I’m even more glad we got to see Barba’s amused-slash-approving reaction. Sonny has gotten significantly more confident through the seasons, and it’s always great to see Barba acknowledging that with delight.

Stray Thoughts

lol at Barba being all “omg we blew it, we lost the jurors, we’re done,” even though their case was still pretty solid.

Double lol because last week Barba was all “d’oh, it’s hypnotism! Which is totally real! What a slam dunk! I’m totally winning this case!” :D

I see Fin is still a detective, glad we cleared that up. You know, because Liv introduced him as such. Even if he’s “practicing his Sergeant skills,” which, how rude were Sonny and Amanda, by the way? Crack a smile, you guys, Fin was making a joke! to remind us he is kind of a Sergeant but not really! I wish Peter and Kelli had given legit deadpan looks, though, to make it even funnier. As it was, the scene was kind of awkward. Except Ice, who was hilarious.

Also, hey, remember how Fin’s son is gay? lol me neither also, hey, remember fin is a grandfather? lol no one does

When the friend said, “YOU WERE RAPED,” Liv’s face was like, “excuse you, honey, I’m the only one who’s allowed to scream that in a victim’s face.”

The actor playing the rapist was very good! So creepy. Almost robotic, until he cracked in the end. Very nice performance, he really made the episode. All the actors were great, in fact.

Liv’s colorblock jacket? Flawless.

I’m going to need all the gifs of Sonny sitting behind Barba, all sprawled out, please and thank you :’)

Off Limits (Skam - Chris x OC) Epilogue

Pairing: Chris x OC

Synopsis: Mara Magnusson has always had everything she ever wanted in her life, except for one thing. The boyish charm of her brother’s childhood friend had wrecked her poor heart and ruined her for any other guy – you can trust her, she has tried. She could see the way he looked at her, though she knew there were rules about not hitting on your best friend’s little sister. Luckily for her, there were no restrictions when it was the other way around.

Word count: 4.9k

A/N: THERE IT IS i’m sorry it took so long, I never thought it’d turn out this long. This ‘short’ epilogue somehow became the longest part of the story and I genuinely can’t say what happened. It could be a oneshot on its own - it’s detailed like that. There’s a big time jump at the beginning but I made sure to fill in what you missed ;)

Warning: all the otherfucking fluff; I hope you have a sweet tooth or else this is gonna give you some raging toothache.

Part 21 <<<

A few years later…

Mara continuously tried to grab the salt from Chris’ hand while he kept adding some to the vegetables but he raised the hand holding the salt jar too high for her to reach it. He laughed when he heard her use her threatening voice and call his name as she gave him the look.

“Stop adding salt!” She pestered him but it served only to make him smile wider as he watched her struggle to try and grab the salt – and fail.

“I’m the cook and I say it needs more salt,” he replied, stepping closer to her only to look at her from under his nose as if he were a great chef whose authority no one could contest.

Hiding Out

This is inspired by a prompt from @dailyau :) I’m still new to writing oneshots so let me know what I can work on! ^^

Rated T just in case.

Summary: What starts as a normal day at work turns into an unforgettable day as Natsu is asked to hide a beautiful blonde behind his counter.

His day had begun just as most others. He woke up past his alarm clock, rushed to his Chemistry class to be scolded by his professor, returned home to spar with his best friend, played with his cat, and got ready for work. That was routine for Natsu Dragneel.

Natsu was a junior at Magnolia University, majoring in pyrotechnics. Despite what many thought of him, the boy was far from dumb. Sure, he could be dense about some things, but he aced every Chemistry class he had enrolled in, so clearly, he was above par. Still, his grades weren’t enough to earn him a full-ride scholarship, so working was necessary.

Natsu worked at Mavis Market, a grocery store about a twenty-minute walk away from the university. Sure, working on top of school kept him busy, but it wasn’t too bad. The work was easy and he had friends that worked with him.

The only downside to working at the grocery store were the judgmental customers that came to his register. There wasn’t a day that passed by in which someone didn’t comment on his hair. Not that Natsu could really blame them, however. Pink hair- or salmon, as he liked to call it- was rather unusual for a boy.

Natsu had applied for multiple part-time jobs, but they had all ordered him to dye his hair to either brown or black, to which he refused. While most believed that he had dyed his hair pink- salmon- that was truly not the case. Why would he set himself up for the endless snide remarks from judgmental assholes? His hair was natural and he wasn’t going to change himself for anyone.

Which was why landing a job at Mavis Market was like a gift sent from the heavens. It gave him enough money to pay for rent and the supplies he needed for school. Not to mention his boss was kind and flexible with his schedule.

Natsu walked alongside Gray and Erza, his childhood friends. Gray was the one who had put in a good word to their boss, which ultimately landed him the job. Though he would never say it aloud- simply because he treated Gray more like a rival than a best friend- Natsu was grateful for that.

The three of them were headed for their closing shift. The store closed at ten, which meant that they had to work seven hours, which wasn’t too bad.

“When do you start training for the manager position?” Gray asked Erza.

It was no wonder that Erza was promoted to manager despite only working at the store for only a few months. She was strict, followed the rules, and kept everyone in check all the while being the best at dealing with customers.

“Next week,” the red-headed girl answered. “Mavis is going to have Mira train me.”

Natsu crossed his arms behind his head. “What are you even in charge of? Shifts?” His eyes lit up with mischief as he continued, “Think you can get me Saturdays off?”

“What, so that you can waste the day away playing video games? No. Besides, I’m not in charge of shifts, Mira is. I am only in charge of you idiots.”

When they finally reached the grocery store, the three headed towards the breakroom and stored their things away in their respective lockers. With that, they clocked in for their shifts.

Omg I'm in love with your blog 💘 the latest ep 19 of snb had me shook!!😵 hope they make up and MAPPA gives them the happy ending they DESERVE! Do you by any chance know and recommend me some charinina fan fiction? Haven't found many 😢... Also what's ur prediction on so ep20😱 I've seen pic of nina in her doctor suite it appears .....what if nina got hurt battling that psycho!! What if they told charioce they killed and he believes it!!!!! *sorry if I asked too much*

Omg this is so cute and nice thank you so much. Don’t apologize you didn’t ask to much and your ask made my really happy.

I’m sorry it took me so long to respond but adult live and all the responsibilities that come with it sucks. I couldn’t finish writing this until now.  Please pardon my english since is not my native language and sorry because this is kind of messy.

Now let’s go in order here. Are nina and charioce gonna make up?? I think they would. I mean they give us this moment?

We’ll probably get a “putting the glass shoes on cinderella” kind of scene. They ending hints that after all.

That is unless mappa decides that the shoes should suffer the same destiny as other significant objects in the story such as charioce’ ring or the chili pepper that had potencial be used more but were lost forever and never brought up again. But i have trust in Mappa so i think they’re gonna have more beautiful scenes and an good ending that fits their love history.

About the fanfiction disgracefully I haven’t been reading to much of it lately. I just have been busy and in the actual free time I hace i’m either doing more fanarts for my portfolio or discussing the chapters or simply speaking with other in discord. On top of it just as you said there’s really little amount of charinina fanficts so apart from this one here I can’t really give you more recommendations i’m sorry. Please take into account that this fanfict is:

  1. In completely in spanish so if you don’t know the language you won’t be able to understand it
  2. If you can actually read it I have to warn you that is little angsty. The story is about charioce pov in all his encounters with nina, what he think of her and all his feelings until episode 13 more or less. Is beautifully written and the angst is nothing heartbreaking more is really tasteful but taking into account how angsty ep 19 was maybe you wouldn’t like to read it

Now if you ask me about my predictions I have to say that I don’t really have one. I have many xD i’ll put a tl;dr here with what I actually think is what gonna happen in episode 20:

Basically what I expect to happen the next episode is: Nina fights the hunter and transform into a dragon to do so. The explosion free kaisar and favaro and then they help her. Nina manage to defeat the hunter but gets badly hurt in the progress. Her transformation attracts the other knights that were searching for them. Just when the three of then are about to get killed. Azazel and co. appears after speaking a bit with Jeanne and Sofiel as they also saw the light of nina transformation and went to save them. They manage to escape and then rita has to health nina. Episode end with charioce eating the next day only to be informed falsely that the red dragon was killed.

Apart from all that we also may see more of Gabriel and her possible transformation(?) in a fallen angel?? I mean she isn’t glowing anymore and dark feathers are around her.

Or maybe Lucifer will finally finish his book and do wharever he was planing??

I also have some analysis of a theory i heard and other options I thought about that scene with rita in her doctor clothes but that would go under a read more because this have become way to long xD.

Expensive Girl (Part 1)

This took me forever and a half to write. And it’s a freaking novel. Almost 8,000 words. That’s 15 pages single spaced. If you make it through all of it, I applaud you. There are smutty scenes sprinkled throughout so beware.

Part 2: http://kpopnlockit.tumblr.com/post/110216476507/expensive-girl-part-2 Part 3: http://kpopnlockit.tumblr.com/post/110217648067/expensive-girl-part-3

Your feet were aching. Your back muscles were tense. Your eyelids were heavy. Work had been killer today. You had seen nineteen clients today and had worked five nine hours shifts this week. The constant standing had made your soles sore and put an incredible amount of pressure on your lower back. You had to wake up ridiculously early to begin the long journey to work as to not be late, so you weren’t getting adequate sleep either. You were sure that you were going to get sick from the way life was running you down.

You sighed as you clocked out. You were finally free to enjoy your weekend, which in your case, meant sleep. As you made for the subway station, your phone buzzed in your back pocket. You stopped mid-stride to pull it out and check who had a death wish. You heart skipped a beat as the screen read “Namjoon” in bright white lettering. You gave a weary smile before sliding your finger across the answer mechanism.

“Hello?” You could even hear the tiredness in your voice. “______!” Namjoon cheerfully greeted you. You deeply inhaled, trying to slow your heart rate back to normal before asking what was up. “Wanna go out tonight?” He asked. “Not really.” You responded honestly. “Don’t be a loser.” You could hear him frowning. He hadn’t expected this reaction.

As much as you were crushing on Namjoon, you were exhausted. It also wasn’t a good idea for you to go partying with him. You needed to distance yourself from him a bit, as he only thought of you as a good friend. Falling any deeper would just hurt you more in the end.

“I’m tired,” you replied, “It was a long week.” “Come on! Tonight is the party for Zico-hyung’s single release. I can’t go alone.” You flushed at the thought of him wanting to take you as his date. You shook the idea from your head, knowing that he just didn’t want to walk in with a bunch of guys. “You can go with Supreme Boi.” You brushed him off. “It’s just going to be guys then!” He retorted. You knew it.

“Hit on some girls then.” You crankily said with a hint of attitude. There was a pause. You didn’t mean to be that harsh. You quickly apologized, not wanting to anger him over something so insignificant. “I’m sorry, I’m just really tired.”
“I’ll forgive you on one condition.” He said with a hint of mischief. You knew there was no getting out of it at this point.

The doorbell rang as you finished running your straightener through the ends of your hair in your bedroom. You quickly put the hot tool down on your dresser and dashed to the door. Not bothering to check who it was, you pulled the door open. A Namjoon clad in tight dark washed jeans and a leather jacket greeted you with a dimpled smile.

You stepped back, letting him come in, and shut the door behind him. He looked so good. His bleach-blonde hair was styled up, off of his forehead. His pants hugged him nicely, and the leather jacket made him look like a bad boy. “You look good.” You complemented him as he unlaced his black wing tip shoes. He glanced up at you and replied, “You’re looking good yourself.”
You felt heat rise from your neck and envelope your face. You wore a short strapless black and silver dress that fit you like a second skin, clinging tight to your curves. You added sparkly dangling earrings and bracelets to glam up the look. You had also straightened your hair, which gave you a chic vibe. You had decided to go all out with the makeup and emphasized your eyes with a dark smoky eye and nude lips. A hint of bronzer and blush slimmed your face for a defined effect.

You slid past Namjoon, welcoming him into your apartment though he was thoroughly familiar with it. He had even helped you move in. After all, you had been friends from the moment you had stepped foot in South Korea three years ago. Initially you had been friends and was treated like one of the guys, but it was the small details that Namjoon paid attention to that made you begin seeing him as more than just a friend. The way he always walked on the outside of the sidewalk, the way he held your hand as you walked down stairs in heels, they way he would bring you coffee whenever he came over, all had your heart pounding a little harder when he was around.

“I’m almost done, do whatever for a bit.” You said and slipped back into your bedroom. He knew where the snacks and remote control were, so you didn’t even bother making sure he got comfortable. You knew he would anyway.
However, it kind of threw you off when he entered your room as you were bent over your dresser, applying eyeliner to your bottom lid using the larger mirror resting on top of the dresser. He had taken off his jacket, probably leaving it on the back of the couch, allowing you to appreciate the way his gray shirt had the top three buttons undone. You had to tear your eyes from his chiseled collarbones and turn your attention back to your face. He knew you were finishing up getting ready, yet still wandered into your bedroom. Though you were close, there were some unspoken boundaries that you didn’t cross.

He made himself comfortable on the edge of your bed, facing you. You glanced at his reflection in the mirror. He was clearly watching you. The corners of his lips were upturned but his eyes were seriously examining you. Suddenly you were very conscious of the way your dress hiked up dangerously high as you leaned closer to the mirror.

Trying to shake the butterflies that he had summoned in your stomach, you asked as nonchalantly as you could, “It’s going to be at Silver?” His eyes never left your form as he leaned back on his palms. “It’s his favorite place. Anyways, the party is private. They booked the entire club.” He answered. “Oh? Then it should be fun.” You quipped as you swiped an extra coat of black mascara over your lashes.

“Want a sip?” You pointed to the Red Bull you had been drinking as you got ready on the dresser next to the now cool straightener. “Sure.” Namjoon stood up and made his way over to you. He stood so close to you, you could feel his body heat. As he reached for the can, his watch brushed against your skin, the cool metal making you shiver as you applied some lip gloss. He chuckled at your reaction and immediately placed his hand on your arm, trying to warm you up.

You didn’t bother looking in his direction, trying to pretend that the touch didn’t faze you. But you were sure that your face gave you away as he looked at your reflection in the mirror. You accidentally made eye contact with his reflection and he chose not to break it as he took a swig of the energy drink.
He handed you the can, and you turned to face him, finishing the drink. He looked down at you. “Finished?” He inquired. “Finished.” You answered and began pushing him out of the room. You flicked off the light after exiting, and took a deep breath to steady your nerves. What was with Namjoon invading your space today? It was like he was trying to get under your skin.
You handed him your phone, some cash, and your I.D. as he went to put on his jacket. Without a word, he stuffed them into his pants pocket. “Is it cold out?” You asked eyeing his jacket, wondering if the temperature had dropped significantly since you had gotten out of work. “Nah, but it’s just in case.” He responded.

You nodded and made your way to the shoe rack next to the entrance. You mulled over your choices before Namjoon came up behind you and grabbed a pair of black patent strappy heels. He handed them to you and said, “These.” You broke into a smile and rolled your eyes.

You dropped to the floor next to Namjoon as he tied the laces on his shoes. You slipped your heels on and awkwardly tried to hook the straps on the sides of your ankles without flashing your underwear. Seeing you struggle, Namjoon reached over and clumsily helped you. It was a great effort on his part, as he fumbled with the tiny straps and hook in his large hands.
“How do girls deal with this?!” He exclaimed when he finally finished securing both your shoes. “Beauty is pain.” You replied. “You don’t need all that to be beautiful.” He stated with an edge of frustration. You froze for a second. He didn’t mean anything by that, you convince yourself. He was just talking about girls in general. Not just you. Don’t get any ideas. “You chose these shoes, idiot.” You muttered.

He stood up and held a hand out for you. You took it and he helped you to your feet. Once standing, you were considerably taller. Instead of barely coming up to his shoulder, you were eye level with his nose now. He patted your head as he noticed your change in height. “You finally grew!” You slapped his hand away in mock irritation and switched on the foyer light and switched off the main light. Namjoon pulled open the door and usher you out. Once the door clicked lock behind the two off you, you were off.

Silver was a trendy little club decked out with black marble floors and walls, glass tables, white stools, and chrome accents. The bar was completely made of glass and so were the shelves behind the counter that housed the liquor. The place was a decent size and right now it was packed. The place had amped up security to make sure no paparazzi could sneak shots of all the celebrities drinking and grinding. The DJ was good. He was playing a mix of hip hop and dance music, which suited the crowd. It was clear that this was a gathering for a rapper. Everyone was dressed well but had a street edge. The men flaunted their thick chains and the women wore tastefully revealing clothes. However, there was a disproportionate amount of men. Maybe bringing you wasn’t such an outrageous idea.

Since the lights had already been dimmed, you relied on the disco ball as your eyes adjusted to the darkness. There was a bouncer at the foot of the stairs, making sure that the guests of honor weren’t disturbed. You made your way to him and Namjoon gave him his name. Immediately, you were allowed entrance.

Namjoon quickly grabbed your hand and helped you up the stairs. Once you made it to the top, he released you. You tried not to let the disappointment show on your face. It was always like that. He was just being polite.
You followed close behind him as he navigated the white leather couches, greeting familiar faces along the way. He stopped when he got to a huge semicircle of couches that were partially blocked off by black colored glass. There was a massive glass table in the center of the semicircle covered in bottle of top shelf alcohol and empty shot glasses. There was a round of loud greetings exchanged as Namjoon fist bumped and half-hugged people. You were nervous. There were a lot of faces you didn’t recognize. You could tell that most of Block B was there and so was some of AOMG, but there wasn’t another female in sight. You stood stiffly at Namjoon’s coattails.

Realizing your intimidation, Namjoon boisterously announced your presence by saying, “This is my friend _____. Treat her nicely.” Most of the guys shouted friendly welcomes over the blaring music in response, but you could tell that there were a few sizing you up. Not willing to be taken for anything less than you were, you rolled your shoulders back and stood straighter. Your gaze was unwavering as yelled, “Congratulations on your single!” at Zico. He had been one of the few evaluating you and was taken aback by your sudden show of confidence.

He smiled and shouted “Thank you!” back at you. Some guys you didn’t know made room for you and Namjoon and you sat. After exchanging introductions with them, Namjoon leaned down, his nose nuzzling your hair. You automatically froze, your breath catching in your throat. “What do you want to drink?” He whispered into your ear.

He pulled back as you remembered how to function. You exhaled slowly. You turned towards him and said “Vodka.” He couldn’t hear you over the music so he leaned back down, lending you his ear. “Vodka.” You said into his ear. He nodded and got up, shedding his leather jacket. He handed it to you and you placed it over your exposed lap as he went to get you your drink. To your surprise, he didn’t reach for the liquor covered table but instead went downstairs. You followed him with your eyes until he disappeared.

You instantly felt awkward again. You didn’t really know anyone there. Thankfully no one was paying any attention to you. Everyone was busy discussing music using terminology that you didn’t bother trying to understand. You glanced around, spotting a few faces that you knew from watching TV. Abruptly, the sofa dipped with the weight of someone sitting next to you in Namjoon’s spot.

‘Avengers : Age of Ultron’ Audio Commentary By Joss Whedon

It is for the record and all about RDJ/Tony Stark thing or related.

That little “Yay,” by the way, for which both Robert and I have been given credit, was actually Jeremy Latcham, again, saying, “He needs to make a noise there,” um, in post-production. And I was like, “Oh, no, he doesn’t. We could do it, but no one’s gonna hear it.” So, he gets all the credit for that.

In a way that one-and-a-half people would recognise. I think I said, “Five people in the audience will cheer at this.” And Kevin Feige said, “Yes, but I will be one of them.” It was a big decision whether to go off on her smile or this grab. Ultimately, the grab very specifically said, “We have a problem, and the problem is Tony.” And, um, one of the things that also sort of hit me late in the game is that you can really look at this film and just straight-up say, “Tony Stark is the villain.” It’s not just the beard. He’s a good man who is corrupted by his own anxiety, by this vision of a disaster, and makes what is obviously a really bad decision. And I spent so much time in the writing process and during filming trying to protect Tony Stark. Trying to make sure that he was still a heroic figure. And at one point I watched the movie, and I went, “You can just go ahead and lean into this, that he’s now evolved into a villain.” Obviously, he’s not just that. He’s redeemed, and he is a hero in so many ways. But it was very freeing to be able… And I think it’s not something you get to do a lot in something like this, narratively. To just go ahead and say, “Your guy just might not be okay.” And again, that’s something that, thematically, the entire movie is about. It’s been commented on, and it’s not by accident that the word “monster” is used by most of the team about either themselves or each other.

so clearly we’re already leaning into the Jesus thing. And that’s, um, again, not by accident. We’re not saying anything specific about religion, but we are playing on Christian iconography a great deal, partially because both Tony Stark and Ultron have god complexes, and partially because the Vision himself does represent an ideal.

This little bit’s a bit of embellishment that Robert and I came up with on the day. It’s always nice to be able to have people who know their character so well that they can give you what you’ve asked for, but then make it feel lived in.

I really wasn’t sure where to put people and how to get them where they needed to go emotionally. Especially because Robert has a really difficult job in this scene of cracking up in the middle of the worst thing he’s ever done. And to me, it was really important, and Robert, too. The moment I pitched it to him, he latched on to it. He’s like, “l do that whenever I’m busted. I can’t help it. It’s so bad. I get nervous, I giggle.” But I also think there’s something… I feel like Tony’s… There’s a little bit of the Asperger’s, being on the spectrum with him, where he’s just, um… He’s not quite… He’s just not good at people.

And ultimately, my whole “Tony is the villain” thesis nicely plays into it as well. And again, “villain” doesn’t necessarily mean ”mwah-ha evil,“ because here you see his pain and the sort of epic nature of his heroism. Which is contrasted, as usual, with the very simple nature of Steve’s. And Tony is a guy who likes to do the math. And Steve is a guy who understands the situation he’s in, and is looking out for the people around him.

The Avengers have so much power at the beginning of this, and one of the things that I knew, and I had this problem in the first one, is nobody roots for the overdog. And so it was very important to me that they be brought down a peg, but not just by circumstance, but because they have… In Tony’s case, dramatically, but in every case to an extent, lost some aspect of the mission. Lost some aspect of their humanity, because that’s the thing about being a superhero, it’s the thing about having power. When your decisions affect more than the people around you, inevitably, you are going to destroy something. You’re going to harm someone in a way that removes you from humanity. The more power you have, inevitably, the less a part of the human community you are. And so Ultron himself says that, although he doesn’t always realise how much it applies to him.

We’re coming to something that never fails to get a laugh, which for a long time was a real problem for me because I didn’t mean it as a joke. I thought it would be cool and obviously comic book-y, but I didn’t think of it as a laugh moment.

He originally had a line, "Where are you taking us?” “A place I hoped I’d never take you.” But, on the day, all l could think was, Tony would be like, “Uh, I’m definitely driving. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds ominous.” And it either sounded ominous or heroical.

I’m embarrassed to say that “Hello, Deere” was Robert’s. That’s one of those moments where I just kick myself, I‘m like, “How did I miss that?”

The idea of playing Tony’s confessional. Because there was a long period where it was like, “Well, does he tell everyone he had a vision?” And we had lines in it for quite a while that indicated he had said something, or said something off-screen, but you don’t bring Nick Fury in without a reason. And although it was important to say that they were flying on their own, we knew we wanted to see Nick, and to have him be the first person that Tony can actually talk to, and for that to become, in a way, the sea change for Tony, even though he’s about to do something even more absurd than what he’s already done, is important for the whole group.

The idea, though, that Tony is searching his world, the world of science, and Thor is searching the world of magic.

and then it brings us back to the idea that Tony is the villain. One of the true villainous moments he has is telling Hawkeye, “Why don’t you disappear?” and I’m gonna make an evil eyebrow face, because I’m about to do something crazy. And the idea that he’s gonna lean into the very thing that is wrong with him is interesting to me, because the idea that the worst thing about us is useful gives this thing texture.

The voice in Tony’s head was originally a different actress, but, again, the “girl Friday” thing was something that I liked very much, but… And Friday was one of his HUD personalities from the comics, but when she came on as American, the only way to establish who she was as a sort of different person was to have banter between them, which literally meant establishing an entirely new character after the Vision. So to give her the accent, it sort of made a little piece of shorthand.

We did this in re-shoots, and I had said we really need somebody that expresses the gravitas of what they’ve been through, and Kevin said, “Or they could make that joke about the hammer that you almost put in.” I’m like, “Okay, yeah, let’s do that instead.”

l felt that we could very clearly explain the problem that Ultron was having and create a scene that really made you feel for Jarvis. Kevin and Jeremy, who really fought for Jarvis’ presence to be increased throughout the movie. I had always intended to make him the Vision. They kept insisting, “We want more. We want a visual. We want everyone to mourn him. We want him to be treated like a guy.” And I didn’t really understand the need for that the way they did. And then putting it together, it was clear, “Oh, yeah, wait a minute, this guy, he was there at the beginning. "He was there in the first few minutes of the first Iron Man.” And people have a bond with him that is palpable and very human.

HANNIGRAM (and Spacedogs!) FIC RECS: Part 2 : I have had the last ten days off due to this ridiculously high fever, and have been kept alive by the most beautiful fics and ficlets. These are some of my favorites in no particular order! (And I swear when I am no longer dying, I will get back to writing Transcendent Suffering, everyone. I am so SO sorry! D : )

Bloodied, Torn, and Somewhat Hopeful x TheyArePackHunters: Excellent Post S3 Fall
“Will bit back a curse at the pain that shot through his back as he did as he was told. He waited throughout Hannibal’s tsking inspection for arguments to bubble forth, but it was almost as though there were simply too many to start. They were all jostling for position at the back of his throat, and no single one could get through. So he was silent as Hannibal removed his bandages and redid a few sets of stitches before smearing on a local anesthetic and rebandaging him. Will noted he didn’t apply the anesthetic until the last moment, when he no longer had any excuse to be touching Will.“

Somewhere Between x damnslippyplanet: Part One-Five of Hannibal *finally* figuring out he has feelings for Will
“Something’s been spilled and destroyed in this hallway in the last five minutes and he’s not at all sure it’s the flowers. He’s just figured out that he’s human after all, apparently. Suddenly, achingly, human. What an odd way to realize it.How Bedelia would laugh. He wonders if Will knows, or if he’ll be the very last to find out Hannibal’s got a human heart after all.  He wonders how long he can keep the secret, or if he even wants to try.“

Collateral Damage x quenchycactus: Hannibal x Will locked up on opposite sides of BSHCI, all hell ensues and it is glorious.
“Hannibal drives the key into the temple of a still-twitching body, shoulders heaving with heavy breath and a feral look in his eye.  He’d missed the feeling of hot blood on him, the rapturous power ending a life instills him with.  He faces the several guards running down the hallway, and makes no move to kill them. He’s finished, for now. He’s made his point.  They taze him unconscious, and as he blacks out Hannibal finally registers the meaning behind the twin alarms, and warmth blossoms in his chest. Will is painting a picture of his own.“

look at my king, all dressed in red x sidnihoudini: Lovely Post S3
““Sometimes you have to remind me,” He admits, finally.  There are so few lights above them that the stars twinkle brightly.  Despite the beauty of the universe around them, Will can still feel Hannibal watching him intently, his attention nowhere else.  Will considers what he wants to say next, and then quietly settles on, “I get lost.”Hannibal reaches out and wraps one arm around Will’s shoulders to tug their bodies close.  They stand together silently, much like they did on the cliff, with Will’s cheek pressed against Hannibal’s chest, and his eyes quiet and tired.  Hannibal looks up at the stars, finally, and rests his chin on the crown of Will’s head.“We will always find each other in the dark,” Hannibal promises, sounding sure.“

Tea for Two x nightliferogue: the fluffiest fluff ever about Will x Hanni single dads
“Hannibal nodded, pouring them each a glass of wine, “I attempted to recreate a decaffeinated tea fit for children that I researched on the internet.” Will smiled, sitting down in the chair he assumed was for him and picked up the wine for a sip. “Mmm,” he sighed, “This is good.”Hannibal was staring at him oddly, swallowing before he said, “It was my mother’s favorite, I…”“HANNI WE NEED CAKES!”Hannibal smiled, shaking his head, “Duty calls,” he said, standing and heading for the girls who giggled excitedly. Will stared at the way he doted on them both, smiling at Abigail who hugged him around the middle and then Mischa who said, “Abby’s Daddy, isn’t Hanni the best?”Will swallowed, his eyes meeting Hannibal’s. “Yes. Yes, he is.”“

Extra Cheesy x mokuyoubi: Nigel knocks over a store and meets Adam, it’s adorable
“That’s right,” Nigel tells him cheerfully, letting his cigarette hang from the corner of his mouth and patting the guy on the cheek. “Because if you don’t, what’s the fuckin’ point? You do your job half-assed, you’re just gonna ruin everyone else’s goddamn day. Might as well just sit around like a sack of shit at home. Might as well just fuck off and die and stop wasting everyone else’s time, right, Nestor?”Nestor swallows hard, eyes darting over Nigel’s face in something like recognition. Maybe Nigel underestimated him. Maybe he’s got a clue, after all. “Right,” he says, voice nothing more than a whisper.“So what are we going to do about your attitude?” Nigel asks. He slides back to his feet, lets the gun tap rhythmically against his thigh and pretends to consider it.“

Camp Awkward x Hannigrammatic: where Nigel is a cute grumbly bear and a really bad fucking camper
“Loud cursing interrupts Adam’s calm like a record coming to an abrupt, screeching halt. He opens his eyes and tilts his head in the direction the angry voice is coming from. The trees are many and thick at the tops, but through the trunks and the underbrush, he can vaguely see the campsite next to him. There’s a man flailing his hands in the air, and it’s him that the loudness is coming from. Without thinking, Adam lumbers into the trees and heads toward the stranger, noting very quickly that he’s having trouble setting up his tent.
He pushes through a bush with his mouth opened, intending to greet the man and offer his assistance, but instead he finds himself looking down the barrel of a shiny silver revolver.“Uhm,” he manages, mouth opening and closing.“Who the fuck are you?”“I’m Adam,” the young man offers his name, filled with confusion.“

Daybreakers x drinkbloodlikewine, whiskeyandspite: Bodyguard Nigel x Hacker Adam
“He’s worked for people like this before, rich bored kids who want someone stalked or scared or fucked for an infidelity case. He doesn’t really give a fuck - they pay up well enough - stupid, but never stupid enough to deny Nigel his paycheck once he’s finished what they fucking want him to do.But he doesn’t have the brain capacity to deal with some snot-nosed asshole with daddy’s black card telling him he wants to be treated like a proper paying client.Fuck it.He goes in anyway. At worst he’ll punch a door. At best he’ll get paid to punch something else.“

Midnighters x drinkbloodlikewine, whiskeyandspite: Sassy Hacker Adam joins Nigel for heists
“Or honor, whatever. Nigel doubts either really exists. He watches Adam. Adam does not watch him back, though occasionally his eyes skim over the man in quick motions before moving away. He still cannot seem to look at him, perhaps he doesn’t want to. Perhaps he genuinely can’t. Nigel supposes there’s little else for him to do but either send the kid away or use him. And if he’s as good as he sounds, he wants to fucking use him.“So you can do it?”“You ask pedantic questions for someone who wishes to lead a team into something like this, are you sure you’re capable?” Adam asks him, brows up again before he shifts in his seat and brings the book to his lap, hands still clasping it as though it’s keeping him grounded. “I am good with computers, I have worked on security systems before, and you need me. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”“

Mac & Cheese x elena0206: Spacedogs appreciate week, guys! So good!
“Cereal and mac & cheese boxes are not Schrödinger’s cat. They don’t exist in a state of quantum superposition, simultaneously being there and not being there. Adam consumed all of them and they simply are not there anymore – or at least not in the same state of matter. And that’s a fact.”

Been thinking about sterek with stilinski twins where you dream about your mate. Derek sees Stuart and think it's him but Stuart has already a mate Heather. So derek is bitching about it to laura. And the whole family is worried. Just fluff and laura

Derek only started getting the dreams a few years ago, and he knows what it means, his soulmate is younger than him. Laura teases him incessantly about it, but Derek doesn’t pay her any mind. The dreams are fuzzy at best, he only has a fleeting glimpse of plaid shirts and laughter and a pink mouth.

Laura and he start on their roadtrip back to California from New York, the dreams start to get clearer. Every state they cross, Derek can see the outline of his soulmate get more defined, knows that he has brown eyes, a gorgeous smile and fluffy hair that looks soft to touch.

“He must live on the West Coast,” Laura muses when Derek tells her about it over a hasty lunch when they stop for gas in Texas.

They’re in Arizona crashing in a motel on the last leg of their journey when Derek hears his soulmate’s voice for the first time. It’s a clear timbre, ringing like a bright bell in Derek’s mind, and it fills Derek with ache and longing. He wonders if his soulmate dreams of him too, can feel him getting closer and closer to wherever he is.

Naruto has ended (this is gonna be a long one)...

**DISLCAIMER** So I’m a dork and when I wrote this, I made a ton of spelling/grammar errors..Therefore I’ve edited through and fixed them. xD

I’m just preparing my followers (and anyone reading this) that this will be (AGAIN) a geeky post and it’ll be a long and DEEP post. You’ve been forewarned.

Also! Heads up! I will be discussing (in detail) about pairings that I like and pairings that I dislike. My opinions are in no way meant to be an attack on or insult other pairings. I’m a very neutral person and I don’t like to nor  do I want to offend anyone. I hate it when people fight over shippings/pairings. Please keep this in mind. I may joke sarcastically but I’m not attacking other fans for their favourite pairings. It really doesn’t matter to me what pairings are legit and what aren’t. It doesn’t matter what pairings people like and what they don’t. If you like SasukexSakura-Good for you. :) If you like NarutoxSasuke…YAY!
