So apparently the people that worked on Bangtan’s upcoming comeback song are highly anticipating it. According to them, it’s not just going to capture the fans’ attention but the attention of the general public as well.
So, I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I’ve come to the conclusion that she is not. And it’s not just wishful thinking and/or because I can’t stand him. There are actual clues in canon that show that Kara is not in love with her boyfriend. Here’s why:
The way Kara acts around her love interests. She gets flustered, blushes a lot, acts awkward around them.
around Mon-El: error 404 example not found. I can’t recall a single Karamel scene where Kara acts like this.
Bonus: around Lena:
The trope that a love interest watches and looks at their crush dreamily as they leave.
I know that Mon-El looked at Kara like this at least once too, but I’m really not in the mood to gif him so I’m gonna skip that since that’s not the point of this post. The point is to show that Kara is not in love with Mon-El, not vice versa.
But another person also looked at her like this, and even received this look from Kara herself in the latest Supergirl episode…
These are actual quotes that Kara said about/to Mon-El:
“You are so selfish!”
“You are still the same macho egotistical Daxamite!”
“It’s not just the jealousy. It’s the patronizing ego thing.”
“Well, the first bit about your infuriating male ego, that part I meant.”
“More like you’re an arrogant dude-bro.”
“I can handle Mxyzptlk, but it’s Mon-El who’s infuriating.”
She’s never said things like these to James, and definitely not as excessively as she’s complaining about Mon-El. On the contrary, she said “You make me better.”
Another bonus; things she said about/to Lena:
“Kara Danvers believes in you.”
“I believe in her.”
“You are too good and too smart to follow in her path.”
“Now you have someone that will stand up for you, always.”
This is Kara’s reaction when Mon-El first tells her about his feelings for her:
This is Kara’s reaction when Mon-El says “I love you” for the first time:
In conclusion: I honestly don’t believe for a second that Kara has feelings for Mon-El. The most logical explanation is that she felt obligated to give Mon-El a chance because that’s what everyone told her to do or that she felt lonely and Mon-El knew what it’s like to lose a planet. We know how Kara behaves around the person she’s crushing on. There are patterns. And we can’t see any of these patterns when Kara is around Mon-El. Besides the occasional kiss and “I’m happy” she doesn’t show any signs of having feelings for him. They haven’t even gone on any dates, not counting the one she took him on to “save” Lena.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the improvements of the BNHA characters quirks. For example
We know that, before, Kirishima quirk made his skin only a tiny bit harder. When you look at him now, capable of hardening himself to the point where he become unbreakable, you can easily see the improvement made. Same for Izuku.
When he got One For All, he couldn’t use it without broking his bones. But after his training, he found a way to use it properly without having to constantly hurt his body.
But what am I trying to say here exactly?
We know Shinsou’s quirk is Brainwashing, but it only works if his opponent respond to him verbally.
So……. Could it be possible for Shinsou to improve his quirk, to the point where he doesn’t have to verbally exchange with someone to use it? I’m not saying that he could brainwash whoever he wants just like that, because then, his quirk would be too powerful for the sake of the story. But maybe find another alternative that isn’t as hard as getting his opponent to talk.
I believe it’s possible. And I have one idea in head.
The first time I saw this panel, I didn’t think much of it. But I know I was a bit startled of how… Detailed it was. ( And because… geez Shinsou, you look like you’re about to murder someone.. ) I did some comics and doujinshis, so I know basic story boarding. And I know that this kind of panel is here to show something important. The close-up on his eyes must mean something. ( Or I’m looking too much into it.. )
Shinsou needs a verbal contact to use his quirk, so why not improve it to the point where he only needs eyes contact to do so?
If he only needed eyes contact to brainwash someone, wouldn’t that be so much more easier for him?
This is only theoretical. I have absolutly no proof that this could happen. But I just think that, even though his Quirk can be very powerful and useful to avoid fights, it has one very big flaw. I know he’ll become one amazing hero in the end, whether his quirk improve or not. I just had that idea and thought I’d share it..
What if everything in Voltron was the same except for Lance. Like everything is the same, but Keith found Red first causing the others to find their Lions. Every thing is normal but…they don’t have a Blue Paladin. Of course they have Blue on the ship, but she doesn’t have a pilot. But she knows who she wants. She sends Allura and the team to a planet that seems abandoned. The planet appears to be a giant island of some sort. There is a small space of land and then the rest is all water. They wander around the planet thinking that Blue has lost her mind. They’re about to turn back when Keith notices a figure by the shore line. They are hunched over, drawing in the sand. They appear to look human. He has dark mocha skin, brown hair, and longs legs. Keith calls out to them, which ends up startling the figure. They look up and freeze in fear. They then jump in to the water with a splash. The team runs over to the water calling for them to return, that they’re friendly. With no success, the team tries to figure out another plan. Meanwhile, Blue (who followed them to the planet) slips into the water to find her desired Paladin. The team waits patiently. A while later Blue’s head breaks the waters surface, and the mysterious figure is lounging on the lion, chatting excitedly while lacing strange seashells on a string of seaweed. The team goes to greet the alien when they stop in their tracks. In place of the figure’s long legs…was a tail. The scales glistened and shined in the light. It was a deep blue color, speckles of gold scales scattered throughout. Allura was the first to recover and asked the strange alien their name. With a sharp toothed grin, he replied while finger gunned with webbed fingers, “They call me Lance…but you can call me tonight.” Long story short, Lance is the last of his kind because the Galra invaded his planet and destroyed his species while he was on a solo mission (that’s how he knows how to pilot). His situation is similar to Allura’s and Coran’s. **I may continue this AU? Short little One-shots/Headcannons/Prompts. Thought? Comments?***
