Official Tumblr App for Android Receives Major Overhaul!

The last time I used the official Tumblr app for Android was a few months ago, or longer, who knows. But point is is that my experience with the app was a pretty horrible one because simply put, the app itself was horrible. Posts took forever to load, and when the posts did load, they were blurry until they finally loaded. Everything about the app was slow as molasses. Gifs did not animate. Reblogging posts took an effort, a few tries. Constant crashes. Was so bad I decided just to use the mobile web version of Tumblr, which seemed to solve everything, but an official Tumblr app that actually worked would be so much better.

So with that said, the team at Tumblr finally took the time to majorly overhaul the official app, not just a few small stitches here and there, but a major one. The look and feel has seen a much needed change, now has multiple blog support, better post creating, can register a new account within the app, can view messages, new page for just ‘Likes’, etc, etc, etc.

Here’s an official list of some of the changes:

  • New interface: A total redesign centered around Android’s hardware and software.
  • Manage multiple blogs: It’s now a simple swipe to access your different blogs and manage your drafts, queue and followers on-the-go.
  • Create a post:  We’ve highlighted posting to Tumblr so you can share text, images, links, chats, quotes and videos whenever you want.
  • Messages: View and reply to messages for each of your blogs.
  • Address book: Find people to follow from your phone’s address book.
  • New users: Sign up right from the app.
  • Bonus: For quick sharing, you can post anything from your home screen via the Tumblr widget.

The Slender Games.

Such a cool fan-made animated parody. This is how The Hunger Games SHOULD have ended. Haha.

The Slender Man strikes again!

Three dogs strike up a conversation

Three dogs were sitting in the waiting room at the vet’s when they struck up a conversation. The Black Labrador turned to the yellow Labrador and said, “So why are you here?”

The yellow Lab replied, “I’m a pisser. I piss on everything….the sofa, the curtains, the cat, the kids. But the final straw was last night when I pissed in the middle of my owner’s bed.”

The black Lab said, “So what’s the vet going to do?”

“Gonna cut my nuts off” came the reply from the yellow Lab. “They reckon it’ll calm me down.”

The Yellow Lab then turned to the Black Lab and asked, “Why are you here?”

The Black Lab said, “I’m a digger. I dig under fences, dig up flowers and trees, I dig just for the hell of it. When I’m inside, I dig up the carpets. But I went over the line last night when I dug a great big hole in my owners’ couch.” “So what are they going to do to you?” the Yellow Lab inquired. “Looks like I’m losing my nuts too,” the dejected Black Lab said.

The Black Lab then turned to the Great Dane and asked, “Why are you here? "I’m a humper”, said the Great Dane. “I’ll hump anything. I’ll hump the cat, a pillow, the table, fence posts, whatever. I want to hump everything I see.” Yesterday my owner had just got out of the shower and was bending down to dry her toes, and I just couldn’t help myself. I hopped on her back and started hammering away.“ The Black and the Yellow Labs exchanged a sad glance and said, "So, it’s nuts off for you too, huh?”

The Great Dane said, “No, apparently I’m here to get my nails clipped.”

FOX News reported yesterday, June 27 on the Supreme Court decision in favor of video games. First Amendment FTW!

The PlayStation Network Will Hopefully Be 100% Operational By June 3rd!

Let’s all dance and celebrate!

Ha…I don’t dance…but I will celebrate…if…IF the PlayStation Network is back in full operational status by June 3rd…and wouldn’t that be a coincidence…the day that the demo for Duke Nukem Forever becomes available is the day that the PSN is back in full status mode. Nice!

Thinking of changing my Tumblr theme/layout soon...

I really like my current theme/layout..very simple, yet sorta flashy and to the point. But I’ve been thinking of setting up my Tumblr to look more video game like…and cooler.

Something that screams “I’m a video game tumblr blog..please follow!” or whatever.

Any thoughts/ideas? Or should I keep my blog the way it is…for now?
