On Saturday we went to the weird and wonderful Foreigner’ street in Chongqing. It’s a free “theme park” which was originally built to be a European style pedestrian street with foreign bars and restaurants. Surprisingly enough that didn’t work out, mainly because it’s miles from the city centre and business districts.
The park is full of street food, random replicas of landmarks (including a replica great wall) and some mediocre rides, such as hilarious ghost rides, dodgy log flumes and train rides to nowhere. But the water park there looks awesome.
It’s worth a visit if you’re in Chongqing just for the oddness.
