Ten years after the end of the Second World War, Renton and Eureka have finally made a new life for themselves, with a home and a family to call their own. One day, Eureka's brother Holland, his wife Talho, and their son come by for a ritual family dinner.

This is it, lads.

It’s finally here. The last chapter of the Historical Eureka 7 series. Frankly, I’m still flabbergasted that this is even happening.

It’s been a long, winding and difficult road. I first wrote this series just as I was finishing high school ten years ago, and started rewriting it when Eureka 7: AO began airing five years ago. From that time on, I’ve met so many great people on here and so much in my life has changed.

I’ve gone through multiple jobs, starting and finishing graduate school, my father’s untimely death, and travels abroad to Germany, Russia, and Switzerland to hone my craft and tell this story better. It’s almost unreal to think it is all over now.

I can’t take all of the credit for finishing this. I owe a great deal to Bluholic711/Shron, who I met as a member of the Astral Army, and helped me formulate the plot, edited my work, and even co-authored several chapters. Shron, I am in debt to you and I can’t hope to repay it.

Besides Shron, I’ve also met several great artists who were kind and generous enough to draw fanart for me to help inspire and better visualize key scenes and characters. Big thanks especially go to @hobobbie, @colormymemory, @ticcytx, laloacs/ale-halexxx and @biobanana for their great work. You are all talented people, and I can’t thank you enough.

While the series is now officially over, historical fanart is not stopping just yet. I am working with @colormymemory and @hobobbie and some others for a special project to celebrate the end of this series (and to celebrate the upcoming movie trilogy), so definitely expect to see one last flurry of hist!E7 art.

I will make a separate post detailing what will be happening now that this is all over, and I’m sure many people have questions. I wrote at the end of this chapter some idea of what I plan to do, but I will go into more detail later.

Read on, and thank you all so very much.

God bless you.

Studio BONES announced that it will produce a new film trilogy for the Eureka Seven anime franchise titled Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution (Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution). The first film will open in Japan this year, and the next two films will open in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

The films will follow The First Summer of Love phenomenon that occurred a decade before the first Eureka Seven series. The films will then have the same basic story as the first Eureka Seven series, but will have an original ending.

We’ll be featuring the Eureka Seven movie as this month’s FUNimation at the Movies screening!

Fall in love alongside Renton and Eureka all over again with this feature film set in an alternate timeline within the Eureka Seven universe!

In the year 2054, humanity is on the brink of destruction thanks to a half-century war with the strange beings known as the EIZO. In the middle of an important mission, mecha pilot Renton is reunited with his childhood friend Eureka who was kidnapped by government forces years before. But their heartfelt reunion might not last for long: Eureka’s life will soon come to an end, and the crew that Renton serves alongside on the GEKKO have their own ideas about what to do with the blue-haired girl. As mankind prepares to fire a doomsday weapon that will end the war once and for all, the fate of the world rests in the hearts of two young lovers.
