Throwing a sweater over your pajama, you walked down the stairs and opened the heavy door of your apartment entrance, the freezing cold weather making you shiver immediately.
Walking up to Jungkook, you crossed your arms while you stood in front of him. “You’re really crazy! What are you doing here at this-”
Before you could end your sentence, Jungkook started dragging you towards his parked car, the look on his face telling you that he was really angry. “Jungkook, what are you doing?! Can you please stop dragging me to places! I’m not your toy or something! Are you even listening to me?! Yah, I’m taking to you-”
Ignoring your protests, he opened the door to his car, shoved you in and buckled your seatbelt. Right before he closed your door, he leaned his face to yours and looked into your eyes.
“I will prove to you how I feel about you, Y/N.”
The car ride was silent. Every now and then, you glanced at Jungkook from the corner of your eyes, his strong grip on the steering wheel and his clenched jaw telling you that he was still angry because of you.
Were you really overthinking everything? He told you multiple times that he likes you. Then why was it so hard for you to believe him? Was it because of the necklace? He told you that it didn’t mean anything for him, the reason why he was carrying it with himself being that he wanted to give it back to his ex girlfriend because he didn’t want it anymore. You assumed that she still had his necklace too. Then why were you making everything hard for the both of you?
You snapped out of your thoughts when Jungkook opened your door. Looking around, you tried to understand where he brought you in the middle of the night. The moment your eyes landed on her house, the anger started to engulf your whole body.
Unbuckling your seatbelt, you stepped out of the car and started pushing Jungkook away in between your shouts. “Are you kidding me?! How can you bring me to your ex girlfriend’s house?!”
“Just wait, Y/N.”
“I don’t want to see her, Jungkook! I’m going!”
Just before your could turn around and walk away, Jungkook grabbed your arm and hissed. “I said wait.”
“Why should I wait?! Jungkook I really don’t-”
“Jungkook? What are you doing here?”
When you heard her voice, your body stiffened. Taking a deep breath, you hissed to Jungkook. “I don’t care what you’re problem with her is and I don’t want to witness it either. Let go of my arm or I’m-”
Not listening to your words, Jungkook intertwined his hand with yours and tucked you near his body. “Eunji, we came here to tell you something.”
Trying to get your hand out of his grip, you scoffed. “No, we didn’t!”
Tugging your hand angrily for the last time, Jungkook connected his eyes with yours and said surely. “Y/N is my girlfriend.”
Suddenly, you heard Eunji giggling. “Jungkook, I know that she’s pretending to be your girlfriend so that you can make me jealous. But there is no need for that. I’m more than willing to accept you back as my boyfrien-”
“I’m in love with her, Eunji.”
You watched how Eunji’s smile slowly vanished from her face. “I want my necklace back, Jungkook.”
“I don’t have it anymore, Eunji. I told you, you don’t mean anything to me anymore.”
Not saying anything, Eunji turned away and walked back into her house. You, on the other hand, were watching how the whole situation was happening in front of your eyes.
The second she slammed the door, Jungkook turned his body to you and asked. “Do you believe me now?”
Removing your hand from his grip harshly, you answered his question without looking him in the eyes. “No, I don’t. There was no need to bring me here in the middle of the night just to pretend in front of your girlfriend.”
“What? Do your really think I’m pretending, Y/N?”
Turning around, you started walking towards the bus stop. “Y/N, did you even hear what I said?!”
Without stopping, you continued to walk and answered his question angrily. “I heard everything! You told her that we came here because we had something to tell her. You told her that I’m your girlfriend and that you’re in love with me.”
The minute you realized what came out of your mouth, you halted immediately and realized one thing. He said that he’s in love with you.
You felt how Jungkook placed his hands on your arms, the smirk on his face showing that he was proud of himself. “So, what did I say, Y/N?”
Eyes wide open, you looked at his face. “Y-You said that you’re in love with me f-for the first time.”
A soft smile replaced the smirk on Jungkook’s lips and he leaned forward to place a little kiss on your forehead.
Still shocked about the whole situation, you asked again. “D-Do you mean it, Jungkook?”
Wrapping his hands around your body, he pressed his body against yours and leaned down, your faces inches apart form each other. Placing a little kiss on the corner of your lips, he whispered with his lien voice. “I do.”
Without waiting any second longer, he connected his soft lips with yours, kissing you deeply as if you’d vanish away from his arms the minute he leaned back.
Being the first one to lean back from the kiss, you leaned your forehead against his chest and smiled softly.
Jungkook, on the other hand, wrapped his arms even more tightly around your body and whispered in your ear. “I love you, Y/N-ah..”
Smiling again, you whispered back.
“I love you too, Jungkook..”
Author’s Note: Aaand, the long awaited sequel is here! Let me know what you think about it guys! I hope this sequel made everything clear for all those who were confused. And again, thank you for all the love you all have shown for this series! I really appreciate it! ❤
It had been two months since you and your boyfriend had decided to part ways. Since then you realized that you missed the company of having another person with you when ever you needed them to be. Sure you had those friends that would always be there for you, but it wasn’t the same as the comfort of a significant other.
Ever since you had ended your relationship with him, you couldn’t find the motivation to try and interact with any of your friends. You had started to feel exhausted with the friendships and relationships you had with everyone, and it made you think if you had really ever known anything about them.
A bunch of your friends had decided to go out that night, and had tried to drag you along. You had just finished shewing the rest of them out of your apartment, and were glad to have another night to yourself. It pained you to reject their offers, but with all of the strange feelings you had been experiencing since the break up you decided it would be best to sort yourself out first. This had been the pattern for the last couple of weeks ever since you realized that something about you was off. You were relieved that your friends understood that you needed some space and had stopped trying to push you so much, but at the same time it felt as if the void between all of you was getting bigger.
You almost jumped as the sound of your doorbell rang. You thought that your friends had finally given up for the night when you forced them out of your apartment. So you ignored them. You knew that if they continued to do this you would break down and end up going and doing something stupid.
Yet as the minutes passed you counted the number of chimes you heard. They didn’t stop even after an hour.
You pushed yourself off the couch and slumped over to the door, and without realizing it you pulled open the door with a lot more force than you intended. The person on the other side of the door came tumbling down over you.
“Hello..” He said as he pushed himself up off you. “I’m Hakyeon. You must be Eunji?”
“I think you have the wrong house, sir.” You said as you dusted off your pajama bottoms. You looked up again and looked at the guy in front of you. He was tall, had a slight tan, and dark hair. When I say tall I mean really tall.
“What do you mean? This was the address I was sent to?”
“Look, Hakyeon… I think you should leave. Who ever this Eunji person is, she isn’t here.” You said and began to push him out the front door.
“I don’t have anywhere else to go.. Eunji is my creator. I don’t have a purpose without her…”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at the sappiness that was flowing from this guys mouth. Creator? What did that even mean? You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. You closed the door behind both you and Hakyeon before leading him into your apartment.
“Stay here. I’ll be back in a few minutes.” You told him and rushed into your bed room. You grabbed your phone off of the nightstand and dialed the first number you saw in your contacts.
“Hey can you come and help? There’s this really strange guy who keeps looking for a girl name Eunji. He’s saying something about her being his creator..”
“Woah… Calm down. You said he’s looking for a creator?” You friend asked.
“He’s probably one of those build-a-boyfriends. Their really popular right now. I would just accept him. I mean build-a-boyfriends are very expensive at the moment.”
“What no way! Can’t you just come pick him up or something? I don’t want him staying at my house!” You frantically said as the thought of keeping him there came to your mind. You hadn’t even know the guy a day and your friend was already telling you to let him live with you?!
“Hey look, I gotta go, but if you change your mind I’ll come get him tomorrow.” That was all your friend said before hanging up.
You sighed again and placed your phone down again. What was the point of even calling if they weren’t going to help. With nothing else to do you decided to go and check on the strange guy in your living room, but when you got there he wasn’t there. You scrunched your face in confusion and walked towards the kitchen.
There you found him hunched over your counter with a mixing bowl and a few items from your refrigerator scattered around him. He looked very focused on what ever he was making, and for the time being you thought you’d just let him do what ever he was doing that way he’d leave you alone.
You walked back to the living room and sat on the couch again, your head resting against the back of it. Why did you end up with this weird guy in your house? Was is karma for ignoring your friends? From shutting yourself out from the rest of the world?
“Here try this.” You opened your eyes to see Hakyeon holding out a cookie of some sort.
You reached out and took the cookie in your hands. It was still warm even though it didn’t seem to have just come out of the oven. Slowly you took a bite from the cookie. It was delicious, and you couldn’t help the small smile that started to form on your face as you remember making cookies with your ex. He was always good at baking you things.
Suddenly you felt something against your face and you pushed it away.
“I’m fine.” You said realizing Hakyeon had wiped your face with a tissue. You rubbed your hands across your face getting the rest of the tears off.
“Why are you crying?”
“You remind me of someone important.”
“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
“I’m not entirely sure.” You said and smiled at him.
“Than does that mean I can stay?” He asked as he sat down next to you. He placed his hands in his lap and played with his thumbs as he waited for your answer.
Did you want him to stay? Maybe. For now it seemed like a good thing that Hakyeon had ended up at your house. Whether he was a build-a-boyfriend or now was something you didn’t care about, but the fact that he was there comforting you… Made it seem like maybe you would be okay again soon.
“I guess it does.” You said softly and smiled at the ground.
