essie shades

How I do roses. It looks like there are two pictures of plain orange blobs, but the second one actually has a touch of a darker orange in the upper middle area. I find a little shading/color variation makes them look nicer. Colors used: OPI My Vampire Wears Buff (background cream), Zoya Arizona (orange), Zoya Thandie (darker orange; you could easily just mix a slightly darker shade yourself), Essie Navigate Her (green), and plain black acrylic paint for the lines.

This one ended up as a candy-colored, 70s pattern, but you can see some different ways I’ve used this kind of rose here and here.

This week we’re giving a chic little zip pouch a pretty-in-pink punch thanks to essie’s shade of the month for March, “madison ave-hue”. Bring out your inner Blair Waldorf and perfectly punctuate any ensemble with a quiet luxe Upper East Side vibe…cha-ching! To create: Apply hot glue across the bottom half of a zipper, then press the edge of a piece of 10" x 16" gold leather fabric against the hot glue. Run your finger across the leather to ensure it firmly sticks to the zipper. Once secure, fold the leather and repeat to the other side. Seal the sides of the pouch with hot glue. Use painter’s tape to mark a stripe across the center of the pouch and tape down two letter stencils to the center. Fill in stripe and letters with a coat of essie’s “madison ave-hue” polish and let dry, then apply a second coat.P.S.- join essie’s newsletter to be the first to hear about the color of the month, every month.

Here is day 5 of 31DC2015, blue obviously!

Well Hello you pretty polish!

Once again a gorgeous shade from Essie, let me show you Truth or Flare. It is gorgeous on its own of course but I’ve just add a tiny bit of golden dust on the free edge of my nails, you can see the dust behind my hand (from Melkior).

Love it! :)

Here we go again with a gradient and white patterns nail art! Why changing habits when they are good ? For this nail art, I used two Essie shades from their summer 2014 collection. I know, for the last mani I used cool colors which reminded us of winter and for this mani I used summer colors, the change is kinda sudden but hey climate change is a real thing and we can see it on my nails lol.

These two colors are looking very great together. Somebody at my school said that these two colors together reminded her of christmas… Well, this wasn’t what I wanted lol.

Polishes I used :

Essie : Roarrrrange

Essie : Haute in the Heat

White Polish
