19.3.16// yeah my desk is a mess.  Going through a lot of stuff and doing a mind map on Canetti’s main Topics. And I’m realizing that, after all, I like this fellow.

Commission wip of Unknown and Seven as race car drivers~

with every step and jump, with every twist and dip, and with every sway and swirl, you’ve expressed yourself without uttering even a single word and to be honest, i don’t think words are enough for you to let everyone know how much you want it, how no one wants it more than you do and that’s what makes your dance the most beautiful of them all. you’ve waltzed into everyone’s hearts with your powerful moves and graceful twirls but you’ve snugged yourself in when you showed how genuine you are. your laughs that are distinctively louder than everyone else, your smiles that are brighter than the sun, even your tears that tug at every heartstrings and then you turn and spin everyone on their axis by curving your lips into a sinful smirk, moving your body in an almost illegal way, and looking like you know something that nobody else does. but that’s what makes you so endearing and special. you’re always so grateful to every one but the only one you should be the most grateful to is yourself.

never stop standing on stage like you were meant to be there and continue the dream you have been longing for since the start. it’s only right for you to claim everything you deserve because you’ve earned it and there’s only more for you in this world and nothing less. I love you so much, my two left feet could almost dance. happy birthday to the one and only dancing machine, our precious Kim Jongin. #HappyJonginDay #종인아생일축하해

3.2.17// long and quite productive day. I had an intense seminar in the morning and I´m quite satisfied with my speaking. Then I had a long study session in the library (from 2 pm to 7 pm), I´m so deep into my readings, I´m working on Röggla´s Essenpoetik Essays and it´s just the beginning. Next week I want to collect all my readings so that I can start building a bibliography and writing my paper. I also found an awesome Spotify playlist, so calming, inspiring, so good for focusing!

3/100 days of productivity

Today I was at a conference about Aristophanes during lunch break, and it was pretty cool.
Now I’m watching a movie called Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu, so that I can write a text about it for my French class! ✍🏼💕

These are the worksheets we were given in class today 😊

Anon: can you do an analysis on 2013-2014 ji/kook please? thank you!

Anon: Do you think there’s a relation between Jungkook’s change of behavior towards Jimin from when he was underage to when he finally turned 20??? I feel like after finally not being underage anymore, that’s when he really changed and got bolder, shy-less and stuff.. He wasn’t like this, and now he’s.. Well, basically killing us with everything he does.

Anon: Do you think that Jimin’s fainting incident was a turning point for kook/min? I always thought that JK seemed to be a lot sweeter and softer with Jimin after that, but i could just be imagining things so I wanted a second opinion :) love you!!

Anon: you are my favourite kook/min blog!! kekekeke i was wondering what you think of tsundere!kook thinking that taking off his jacket for yoonji is cool when he did the same thing for jimin during their WoH shoot :)))

That’s right: I’m going to answer all these questions and comments in one long essay. I’m not kidding. This is like.. really long. It’s Jungkook-centric and head canon-heavy. Bring your tinfoil hats.

ok, so this might be a kinda weird question but why do you think that Oikawa treats Yahaba differently than the way he treated Kageyama? since it seems like Yahaba has quite a bit of respect for him meaning that Oikawa probably treats him decently at the very least and yet he /is/ a rival setter. so like, did Oikawa treat Kageyama the way he did bc of his overwhelming abilities, or does he treat Yahaba differently bc he might feel guilty about how he treated Kageyama? thoughts?

I think Oikawa treats Yahaba differently because he’s not afraid of him.

Their relationship is really fascinating to me, because both Yahaba and Kageyama have the same admiration for Oikawa, but two opposite relationships with him. I don’t think Oikawa ever felt or will feel guilty for the way he treated Kageyama, because when it comes to him Oikawa goes completely irrational, all his emotions take over his heart and brain, blinding him. Oikawa knows his days as the best setter are numbered and that Kageyama will surpass him in the long run, but he isn’t able to accept this faith, while recognizing how inevitable it is. He just tried to slow down the process in every way he could.

On the other hand, Yahaba will be a good setter and a respected captain, but not as good and as respected as Oikawa is/was. Oikawa choose him as his heir and he does treat him significantly different from the others (he’s one of the few people he doesn’t use a nickname with, he’s just “Yahaba”). I’d love to see more of their interactions but I’m sure that Oikawa never held back with him, teaching him everything he knew because he wanted to leave Seijoh in good hands, of course, but mostly because no matter how much Yahaba is exposed to him, he’ll never, ever, surpass him.

If you think about it, we have Haikyuu as we know it only because Oikawa treated Kageyama the way he did. If Oikawa treated Kageyama the same way he did with Yahaba, the scarred and emotionally bruised Kageyama that we know never would’ve existed, he’d be already Oikawa’s perfect successor and Seijoh’s new captain. Oikawa was the one triggering all the chain of events that led Kageyama to join Karasuno, to meet Hinata and well…we know the rest.

So yeah, thank you Oikawa, I guess.
