I’ve been asking myself that same question all this time. The only thing that felt weird during graduation and high school was that he suddenly became distant. I just… I don’t know what went wrong, especially after that summer break we spent together after junior year. 

I thought that maybe, like me, he too felt— 

I just… I thought we got better, but I guess it was dumb of me to assume such because when school hit, he made me feel like I never existed… again. 

But enough of that, this stream is becoming sort of a therapy session, don’t you guys think? Haha, sorry! Um, are there any other questions-???

Hello !

School has maybe already started for you, or maybe not. If not, here is some tips to put you into a school routine before going back to school :


Sleeping.

As you already know, sleeping is really important ! And during holidays, you don’t really respect your sleeping schedule. You go to sleep when you should wake-up, and you wake up when you should sleep.

So one week or just a few days before school starts, try to get into a good sleep schedule. Do it progressively : you’ll not be able to go to sleep at 9 p.m if you were going at 2 a.m the rest of the holidays. do the transition in maybe 2 or 3 days, or more if you have the time. Try to wake up early too : 8 a.m or 7.30 a.m.

Studying.

It is also a good thing to start studying a little bit before school starts, especially after the summer break. Don’t stress yourself and don’t study all day ! Take just a little moment in your day to take a look at what you’ve done last year. Focus more on the languages and on the subjects where you have some difficulties. You can take some notes, or make some flashcards about the most important concepts of a subject. If you really don’t know what to expect for the next year, or you have really big difficulties in a special subject, look at the school program on the internet or in the school book ! You will be more prepared.

Supplies.

Make a list of supplies you may need. Plan it in alignment with your budget and what you want : you really don’t necessarily need 1000 color pens, 154 highlighters and 247 pen brushes to be good at school and to get motivated. Buy things you like,find useful and that will not end in your drawer for a year.

Buying some supplies can put you into a work mood, and you won’t miss anything when going back to school !

Tidy.

Before school starts, and your schedule is full, clean your work station, your room and your closet. I know, it doesn’t sound exciting and super fun, but after you’ve done that, you’ll feel really good, and let,s be honest, during the school year, you will always have an excuse to not do it.
Make a list of what you have to do, sort your clothes, books, and supplies. Having a clean work station is really pleasurable and you will maybe have more motivation !

Get ready.

You are maybe really stressed by going back to school, so prepare your bag and you outfit the day before. You wont forget anything at home !

Before going back to school, enjoy the last days of summer ! Think about something yiu want to do before school starts, and do it, (if it’s possible : going on the moon is maybe a little bit complicated to schedule.) even if it’s just going to the cafe with a friend and drink a chai tea latte (i hate cinnamon. really. i hate chai tea latte too. ew. so don’t do that. like take a tea or a coffee. but not a chai tea latte. please.).

Chapter One | They Don’t Know About Us

Here it is! The first chapter of an ongoing Marcel fic. I changed my mind several times over the week as to which perspective I should write this in before finally deciding third person would be best hence why the prologue got killed. I hope you enjoy it. I have the whole thing planned in my head and know where I’m taking it overall but if you have any ideas of flashbacks etc, then I’d welcome your thoughts x

“Knock knock,” Marcel knocked on the door of his twin brother’s bedroom, “are you ready? We’ll be late.”

“Alright, alright, I’m ready.” Harry, dressed in his trademark black skinny jeans and black t-shirt, and beanie, pulled open the door, almost causing his brother to fall in. He stood in stark contrast to his younger twin who had chosen smart black trousers, a white shirt, finished with a beige sweater vest; Harry would say Marcel looked like he’d dressed himself in the dark while Marcel would say that Harry needed to smarten himself up for the new term.

Picking his bag from the floor, Harry gently turned his brother around by the shoulders to walk away from his bedroom and down the stairs, following slowly behind, more intrigued by whoever he was texting on his phone instead. Harry was very much a ladies’ man and had dated numerous girls in the year; he was one of those boys who everybody, even half the lads in the school, wanted to be with. There was no question that Harry was experienced with girls, especially as Marcel remembered when Harry came back from a party, barged in to his room and began explaining how he’d just had sex for the first time.

Marc, you have got to get yourself a girl. It was like, way better than a hand. Her mouth, she just..wow. And to like, be inside a girl…

A Spell for Peace in My Child’s Heart

I would like to share with fellow mother witches a spell I created for one of my little ones last weekend which thus far seems to have been a booming success. First, some minor back story:


My stepson (Q) is eight years old. He spends his weekends with us and (for now) his weekdays at his alcoholic mother’s house. My fiance and I are recovered alcoholics ourselves, I have 14 months and 12 days of sobriety and he has 15 months and 22 days. Tomorrow we will have been together for 26 months.


With our alcoholism, and the early stages of our recovery, our children all suffered, but our 8yo seems to have suffered the most. And with his mother’s continued debauchery his emotional state has declined rapidly, especially during his summer break where he had to spend entire Mondays-Fridays in her home.


Last weekend was his last weekend before school started and he was an emotional wreck. By Sunday we were all emotionally exhausted. So Sunday morning I decided I had to do something magickal for him.


I gathered whatever materials I had around (I am a young witch, so supplies are few and far between, but I made do).


For the God and Goddess I set out my moon and nebula jars (A fun witchy craft I had thrown together for representation). I had a stout red candle for the element of fire, a small dish of water, a small dish of salt (earth), and for air I was using my small bundle of sage but decided to burn some frankincense incense instead.


Preparing for my spell I rubbed frankincense and lemon oils from top to center and then bottom to center, then inscribed “Q’s Joy and Relief” (and a symbol for peace) from top to center and then from bottom to center of a white pillar candle (purification and cleansing of his energy).


After setting everything out, I touched my hand to the water (no athame, wand, or the like, yet) and said, “I ask that this water be cleansed that it may be fit to dwell within this sacred space.” I repeated the same for the salt.


Next I invoked the elements. I started with fire and said something along the lines of, “I invite the element of fire into this sacred space that you may bless my spell with your power.” I repeated for air, earth, and water.


Finally I invoked the deities, “I ask the beautiful and fertile Goddess to enter this sacred space that she may bless my magick with her power. I ask the fierce and bountiful God to enter this sacred space that he may bless my magick with his power.”


As an afterthought I wound up encircling my sacred space with the elements.


I lit the white candle and set it in the center of the salt. I sat quietly reflecting on my desired outcome: Q’s freedom from the bondage of his thoughts; peace in his heart.


I sat pretzel-legged with my palms toward the ceiling, resting them on my knees. I directed them toward the candle with the intention of channeling this desire into the candle.


The flame burned tall and steady which made me optimistic that it would work.


I had to snuff the candle with my fingers about halfway through it’s burning because we had to leave the house.


Next time I would prefer to use a shorter pillar candle so that it can have enough time to burn all the way down. Otherwise, though, I think this spell was quite successful! Q is much more content this weekend than last, and he is not so quick to sink within himself. He was more present throughout the weekend than he has been previously and I am delighted to see him where he is.

How To Study - Lesson 1

HTS: Lesson 1. How to start?         

It is always hard to start, especially after summer breaks/gap year or whatever it was. So, here will be a small advice from my side how to get back on the track.

  • Get excited! It is easy to do so, if you start university/college or high school for the first time, but it gets harder when you already know what is in front of you. Two last years for me in high school were really hard, not because they were less fun, but because I already knew what to wait. So, how to get yourself excited?
  1. First, if you start something new, try to keep your excitement and focus it not only on packing stuff, but on learning.
  2. Every time, when you need to get back on track, start with organising your supplies. Make a list – what you have, another one – what you need urgent, and third one with things, which you would like to buy, but which are not urgent. You can find some really good looking printable shopping lists online (I will post some links soon). And then – go shopping! New supplies inspire to work forward (works every time. every time!)
  3. Print out some calendars and take your planner. Plan your year as far as possible.
  4. Work on colour coding for your agenda. Memorize it, but still make some copies. One in your planner, one on your desk or nearby wall calendar.
  5. Wall calendar is a must have. You can see everything in front of your eyes even on days, when you do not want to open your planner.
  • Read! Yes, you need to read. Either reread last year’s notes/outlines, either read new study material or make some background search about subject.
  • Try to organize information what you have in your head. All new information gathered in free time should be put down on paper. It will help you to jump back in learning process, and organize your adventures and knowledge. I keep my summer binder and summer notebook, for instance. Summer binder collects information and knowledge, booklets and stuff, notebook is my diary, both written and visual. Organizing every detail of my summer helps to get back on track. When you start running, you continue.  
  • Print out some motivative quotes. (Soon I will make inspiring set which should be out on July/August, before new season). Put those quotes on the wall, in your planner, on your laptop etc.
  • MAKE a goal list. List down all your goals – academic and non-academic. Make several copies. Keep it in front of your eyes and look at it every time when you feel that you cannot start. After a year you will be thankful that you started early.
  • Set your mind on studying. Remember all the times when you were late with your homework, when you lost sleep because of school. Realise, that starting early will help you.
  • Eat healthy, live healthy. Healthy mind can only live in healthy body.
  • WHEN YOU START, never stop. Starting is hard, and you do not want to do it again.
