shoutout to george, fred, and especially ron weasley for realizing that harry was stuck in abusive and unhealthy household and, in spite of the massive trouble they knew they could get in, taking immediate steps to personally see him removed from that environment, something no adult in harry’s life did.
991. After the war, Harry and Ron ask the Hogwarts school board to forbid students from bringing in their own brooms for Quidditch matches (to keep the richer families from buying an advantage with more powerful brooms) unless they have valid excuses like medical reasons. In exchange for giving all the Hogwarts Quidditch teams high quality brooms to use for matches and practice, Harry and Ron offer to help advertise the broom companies by being seasonal spokesmen for their ads.
you know, i don’t love most of the changes the harry potter movies made from the books, especially considering the ron/hermione relationship and ron’s character, but i can DEFINITELY appreciate the massive “fuck you” to voldemort that is a “mudblood” and a “filthy blood traitor” making out in the chamber of secrets
Author: xxxkia Summary: Draco’s intention was to tell Hermione his feeling by Valentine’s Day. He had a speech and all; it was a cheesy, funny, heartfelt and disgustingly romantic but it was the perfect speech and he had been rehearsing it for months now. But what came out in the end was “I’m in love with you, you stupid bint!” and well, there went that planned speech… written for a 2017 Valentine’s Fest Genre: Romance/Friendship Words: 5k+ Rated: T Status: Complete Review: A wonderful one-shot right on time for Valentine’s day. I liked the author’s obsessive, stupid-in-love Draco and oblivious Hermione, but I loved Harry and especially Ron. They were supportive, caring, funny and *gasp* wise.
We all know McGonagall was a stern, motherly figure, and she loved her kids to death, especially Harry, Ron, and Hermione. We also know she was an animagus who transformed into a cat.
SHE IS THE MOTHER CAT
HER PATRONUS IS HER “KITTENS,” HER “CHILDREN”
HER PATRONUS IS HARRY, RON, AND HERMIONE
Because McGonagall is that badass motherly professor that loves her kids to death so much that taking care of them and watching them grow is the one thing that makes her absolutely happiest in the entire wizarding world.
Request: Could you do an imagine one shot thingie where the reader is professor Snape’s god daughter from America and Draco develops a HUGE crush on her because she’s not like other Slytherins. She’s friends with everyone especially the golden trio. When Draco finally admits how he feels about her he is super duper awkward, but cute awkward, and she kisses him to make him stop babbling and shows that she returns his feelings. Snape approves of them. Sorry this was long, I really like super fluffy stuff.
When you first came to Hogwarts from America, you expected everyone to hate you. When you got sorted into Slytherin, you really expected everyone to hate you. Turns out you were wrong. You were friends with pretty much everyone, especially Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Some Slytherins didn’t like this, they called you a blood traitor, but you didn’t really mind.
What was odd, though, was that one certain Slytherin boy who cares an awful lot about blood status and who purebloods associate with, talked to you more than anyone else. Draco Malfoy tried talking to you any chance he got, and you didn’t mind at all. He was definitely the best looking boy in your grade.
“Y/L/N!” You heard someone call.
“Oh, hey Draco!” You greeted him and let out a small laugh as he ran to catch up to you.
You laughed again and blushed a little. “Well aren’t you just the sweetest.”
He glared at you. “Draco Malfoy is not sweet, Y/N.”
“Sure you’re not.” You smirked at him.
“Oh whatever. I’m only sweet for you.” He winked.
“Well I’m just honored!”
He laughed and put an arm over your shoulders.
“So I decided that I have to tell you something,” he said, sounding a little nervous.
You looked at him questionably. “And what would that be?”
Draco turned and looked at you.
“W-well um…you see it’s kind of um odd…no not odd. Just um well maybe unexpected?” Draco ran his hand through his hair and looked flustered. You looked at him with amusement. “I don’t really know. Um I guess I just kind of wanted to tell you that I really really like you and think you’re gorgeous and I mean it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way like totally fine, but I would still like to be friends. But I’d rather be your boyfriend but like, don’t feel obligated to-”
You cut him off with a kiss. “Shut up, Draco,” you said as you pulled away. “I would love to be your girlfriend.”
“Really?!” Draco looked as excited as a little kid on Christmas. He was absolutely adorable.
“Yes Draco, really. Well, that is if my god father approves,” you told him with a sly smile.
“Oh no, Y/N! What if he doesn’t!”
“Draco you’re his favorite student.”
You cut him off with another kiss.
“You talk to much.”
He blushed but smiled.
The two of you had dinner with your god father, Severus, that night.
Everything was going extremely well but Draco still looked tense.
When you all finished eating, Severus looked at Draco and then at you.
“Well, Y/N, I definitely approve,” he said with a small smile.
“Oh thank you so much!” You ran to give him a hug.
Draco shook his hand and thanked him.
“Just make sure you treat her right,” he said.
“Oh don’t worry, professor, I will. I never want to lose her.” He grinned at you with love filled eyes and you reciprocated the expression.
I don’t normally do this, and by this I mean just randomly write on my tumblr. BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID, PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS.
I’ve been, like my whole generation, incredibly influenced by Harry Potter and JK Rowling’s writing. I have read the books and seen the movies. The series have shaped every single aspect of my life for more than 10 years. Harry, Ron and especially Hermione have helped me discover things about myself. They got me through heavy stuff. But, more importantly, the whole series made me fall in love with reading. Thanks to Harry Potter, I discovered the possibilities of new worlds and realities.
Anyway, and don’t get me wrong, every time I reread the books I always felt like there was something missing, and I never, NEVER, could put my finger on it, so I just admitted I was going crazy and let it go. The whole “Harry Potter phase” (my parent’s words, not mine, and it’s a way of life, not a phase thankyouverymuch) was suppose to end in 2011.
I wasn’t ready. Hell, I wasn’t ready when the last book was released. So I’ve been trying to turn the page for five years. FIVE YEARS PEOPLE.
Until one day, one of my best friends ever @ledarob introduced me, PAINFULLY may I add, to HP Fanfiction. Let me just say I have been living in awful canon FOR FIVE YEARS, accepting the fatality and finality of it. Letu not only made me read Harry Potter again, which I will never stop thanking her because it is oh God so amazing, she made me read SHAYA’S STORIES. and by Shaya i mean @shayalonnie ‘s stories.
I started with Presque Toujours Pur, which SWEET BABY JESUS AND ALL THE ANGELS ABOVE, it was so good that I couldn’t get enough.
I NEEDED MORE.
Sorry if this is a spoiler, but in canon i ALWAYS wanted to know more about Regulus Black, and thought there was much more to him. Presque gave me the answers I was looking for. It swiftly became canon to me.
I carried on with Safe Word is Devil’s Snare and Tying the Nott, and OH MY GOD YES. YES. YES. Badass Kinky Neville and THEO. THEO IS IMPORTANT.
I am currently reading, in an awful slow pace let me admit, The Debt of Time. Man all the feels. It just makes me feel so much! And I promise I will let you know when I finish it. Let me just say I ALWAYS craved for a Marauders’ story, I FINALLY GOT ONE AND HOLY GOD. Don’t even get me started to RoBM with feminine badassery.
Shaya’s describing is so accurate you end up believing every single word. You can actually see, smell and FEEL everything. Her stories are so good that I have no words for them. Not only they’re original, they’re so well thought. There is character growth with its nuances. Not only she can portray a character’s strength, she captures their flaws as well; which I consider brilliant. It’s like she’s answering so many questions Canon left unanswered (for me at least) and that, Shaya darling, has no price.
Shaya, if you’re reading this, let me tell you that your stories have filled my heart with so much joy and happiness. It’s like they’ve given me back something I long lost. I can’t put it into words truly. I am amazed in every single chapter. Every single story, as different as they all are, make sense, and THAT by itself is outstanding. It’s poetic and artistic. It gets to my very soul.
Your writing makes me break certain concepts I had about the HP World (like HHr, which, to this day, I am unable to conceive, but I don’t mind the pairings now, because i KNOW your writing will make your choices justice) and realizing that was AMAZING.
@shayalonnie is why fan fiction should NEVER be taken for granted.
I just wanted to say how exquisite your work is. Please keep doing whatever it is that you’re doing, because you’ve reached into my soul like Hermione yelling “Bombarda!” in Prisoner of Azkaban when releasing Sirius. I can’t wait for what’s to come.
Thank you for allowing me to go back to Hogwarts and the magical world.
Thank you for helping me reclaim a piece of myself back.
alright, so i read cursed child. here’s what i thought (spoiler-free)
the good: the
thing i love most about the book was the filler moments—the little snippets of
dialogue we get between harry and his friends where they’re talking about
sweets or jokes or paperwork. there are a lot of funny, silly little moments
worked into the plot, and they helped the script feel warm and comfortable to
read. we get a lot of cute relationship moments between harry/ginny and
ron/hermione—ginny especially is perfect in this. also, scorpius is such a
wonderful and lovable character: nerdy and awkward but also so overwhelmingly
kind. friendship takes an important role in the story, and al and scorpius’s
friendship feels perfect and not forced at all.
the bad: its like??? really weird??? the plot
was better-done than i expected, but still ridiculous at times. reading it as a
script was especially difficult, because we can see whatthe characters are doing but don’t know what they’re thinking. there were a few places where
the script format made potentially good jokes fall flat. some parts of it felt
a little repetitive, and there were times when i was irritated with albus
the ugly: i felt
that harry was really rather out of character as a dad—there were 2-3 scenes
where i absolutely could never see
harry behaving like that towards his children, and it kind of ruined the
harry/albus storyline for me. snape and dumbledore are both heavily
romanticized and i hate it.
overall: plot is wacky but better
than i expected, lots of really enjoyable stuff on the surface level, but on a
deeper level has a lot of concepts that im not sure about. i’d recommend it for
the little details but not much else.
