I’ve done many “big” shows in terms of people. I have shot a 12,000+ seat arena with Imagine Dragons. Shows with literally the word “Big” in them like The Big Ass Show. Also shows like Warped Tour with a couple thousand people in attendance with bands playing that are known across the globe. However, tomorrow is different.
30 Seconds To Mars
I get to shoot 30 Seconds To Mars. A band that has played in almost every country on the planet. A band that is known for it’s beautiful music and amazing messages. A band that is fronted by a man who is one of the most iconic people and sex symbols on the planet. A band that sells out 80,000+ seat festivals. Tomorrow will be my biggest show of my career. Not by numbers but by how many people this band has touched.
On August 24th, the X96 Big Ass Show will be taking place at Gallivan Plaza. This show will mark my 100th show as a photographer. August 19th will mark 2 years as a concert photographer. 2 years since Jordan Clements gave me a chance to do something I had never even dreamed about.
To all the bands, all the venues, all the promoters, all the fans, all the security who doesn’t kill us when we get in their way while trying to catch crowd surfers. To my amazing photographer friends who I have met over the last 2 years. To my friends and family who have encouraged me and stuck by me, even when I wanted to stop. Thank you to my inspirations such as Todd Owyoung, Adam Elmakias, and Brendan Donahue. I strive to be as awesome as you guys, one show at a time.
Thank you. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It may not seem like a lot but I am somewhere that I never thought I would be and I have a feeling it is only going to get better. Thank you to everyone who has made this dream a reality.
