I am lucky to take notes on sound, to be a bell-seeker, to ring my heart in the open air, to find a mirror in the music, to catch the woman I love in this lifetime not another, to be held captive by a breeze unmasking the trees, to untangle the rain from the afternoon, to wrap my shoulders in mud, to surround the trash with my voice, to milk thin strings from the widow’s gut with these two cold eyes, to wield eyes, to see my face in a spider’s sorrow, to hold a good love’s gaze, to be held in the slap of seawater, to take her hand through the tinsel shop, to happily drown in this air.

Delicate Electronic Operations - Cleaning the MS2000

Eric got his Korg MS2000 in the year 2000 and paid $1000 for it. Thirteen years later he’s still raging on it, hard. The time has come for us to show the machine some love, coax the four keys that decided to stop working to come out of retirement, and so Eric called his buddy Max to help clean the baby out.

Check out this huge lint ball was inside of the synthesizer! This is what over 14 years of dust, hair, crumbs, and pot particles look like. Should we save it and try to clone the machine in the future?

BY THE WAY…!

Our Valentine’s Day record release show fucking ruled. It looked, felt, and sounded great. We sold the room out within half an hour, sold a pile of In Real Life vinyl and CDs, and had a blast playing with and for so many beautiful people. Thanks to everyone who helped make the album, those who came out to celebrate (and those who tried!), to Rabbit Rabbit for playing a killer set, Justin Fallon and Noam Schatz for rocking out with us, the Elevens for being so cool, our buddies who helped blow up a hundred balloons, Sophie Wood and Jenessa Citron for making us look good, and, of course, many heartfelt thanks to Ted Lee and Feeding Tube Records!
