Neon Indian released another new song from his upcoming sophomore album Era Extraña today via NPR’s All Songs Considered, called ‘Polish Girl.’ It’s a very electronic, very 8-bit track that bleeps and bloops all over the place.
It definitely seems to indicate a new direction for Neon Indian’s sound, as it comes across as much less psychedelic and lysergic and more electro-pop than most of the songs on Psychic Chasms. However, it still benefits from having Alan Palomo’s quirky, retro-obsessed fingerprints all over it, making it a fun 8-bit electro jam.
'Polish Girl’ will be available for download from iTunes on August 4th. Era Extrañais out September 13 via Static Tongues / Mom + Pop Records.
Stereogum posted up this new track from Neon Indian, off his upcoming sophomore album Era Extraña, yesterday. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it. Something about it is sort of turning me off, but it might just be a grower. I’ve otherwise enjoyed the songs we’ve heard off the record. I guess I’ll just leave this hear for you to listen to and make up your own mind.
