Nicole’s Backstory?

Before season 2 of Wynonna Earp premiered we were told that our favourite heart-eyes, dimpled sheriff, Nicole Haught was going to be given a backstory and we’re nearing the end of the season and I feel as though this has yet to be delivered. I did read somewhere that episode 10 is going to be the episode that unravels her past but while we wait why don’t I provide my own ideas of what I think her past might be.

First - absent family

So we’ve seen a lot of Nicole (particularly in season 2) and she’s yet to provide a personal anecdote about a family member (in many shows we are often presented with characters who will occassionally mention an off-screen person with a short story about them - for instance in iCarly the character Spencer is always speaking about his friend Socko (can’t remember the spelling, sorry) and so we know that his friend is a bit of an eccentric bloke, which matches Spencer very well and furthers his oddness that we loved about him. Often, anecdotes about friends and family are often an insight into the character narrating the story, and so I find it interesting that Nicole has yet to mention a friend, aunt, cousin, mother, etc in the whole time that we’ve had scenes with her. Maybe she just doesn’t find in herself in conversations that remind her of those people but again I do find it interesting how her past life has not yet been made into the present.

So this brings me onto the idea that maybe Nicole’s family is absent from her life somehow. This makes me wonder if perhaps she had grown up in the foster care system and had no real parental figure in her life before. Another theory (that me and my friend have deeply discussed with our evidence) is that maybe Nicole’s family did not accept her as a lesbian woman. My main reason for considering this (and for reasons beyond that being our biggest fears as LGBT+ people) but mostly for one particular scene involving Nedley.

During episode 12 of season 1, Champ outs WayHaught to Nedley and Nicole’s immediate reaction is to look up at Nedley and this is her reaction….

To me I read this facial expression as tense and terrified. She’s in a small town and I think we know that it’s universally acknowledged that small towns tend to have small minds when it comes to such things. So perhaps she’s just worried about her job but there’s also that possibility that she’s fearing that her past will repeat with perhaps how her family reacted when they learnt of her sexuality. Either way we can’t ignore how she’s never mentioned her family, how we’ve never seen photographs (although I did once come across a post that indicates perhaps she has one on her desk but it’s not the best quality and have not been able to find that post since) and so I feel like they are connected to each other. Beyond that I am uncertain on anything else because again we only seem to get Nicole in snippets, such as Nedley telling her how she had been top of the class, how she had forgotten to put her name on her helmet and that she was involved in a flooding incident (pretty sure that’s what drunk Nicole was talking about. If I’m wrong do correct me). Any further ideas on her past?

Arrow/Flash/Legends/Supergirl Master List for Binging

Want to get into the flarrowverse? Don’t know where to start? Fret no more, my friend. I’ve formulated this DCTV master-list of which episodes to start with, and where to go when more shows get involved. It’s up to date as of 2/16/17. I highly recommend watching them in the order that they came out, as that way you can experience little tidbits and crossovers for the way they were intended to be consumed. Happy Binging!

when people ask you if you are okay after episode 12

“I made this selfish decision by myself. I’m retiring.”

“Do you realize it now, Viktor?”

“I want to be in figure skating with you forever. But your staying on as my coach means slowly killing you as a competitive skater.”

“No tale is more compelling than one that never ends.”

Just a rant

SAM WINCHESTER IS HUMAN! SAM WINCHESTER HAS MADE SACRIFICES! SAM WINCHESTER HAS BEEN HURT! SAM WINCHESTER HAS BEEN LIED TO SAM WINCHESTER HAS BOTH BEEN LIED TO AND BETRAYED BY THE PEOPLE HE LOVED! SAM WINCHESTER LOVES HIS BROTHER, AND HAS PROVED MANY TIMES THAT THERE IS NOTHING HE WOULDN’T DO FOR HIM! Stop belittling everything Sam has gone through and making it about Dean, Sam has lost his mother, his girlfriend, his father, his life, his brother, his humanity, his friends, his life { again} , his soul and his sanity. Dean is not the only one in the show who has been hurt or that has lied and betrayed the people they love, { Cas season 6,7} Dean { 8,10,11} Dean with the Mark is basically Sam with demon blood, power hungry and outta control. Dean’s love for Sam isn’t greater than Sam’s love for Dean. Sam Winchester is a human who loves with all his heart, stop trying to make him seem smaller than he actually is, stop trying to outshine the things he has done! STOP TRYING TO MAKE HIM A CHEERLEADER FOR A SHIP THAT’LL NEVER HAPPEN!! { Destiel}. Dean has done just as much to hurt Sam as Sam has done to hurt him, both intentionally and unintentionally { Example , It should be you ~ Dean Winchester, “Has been a greater brother than you have ever been ~ Dean Winchester, “If I didn’t know you I’d want to hunt you~ Dean Winchester, ” It makes you a monster~ Dean Winchester, “Too little too late~ Dean Winchester, ” Selfish~ Dean Winchester, “ He’s noty brother I’m not sure he’s ever been~ Dean Winchester, And basically the whole episode of Sacrifice ( Season 8×23). Dean only seems to give a damn about Sam when it’s too late or when it will work in his favor { Example, The whole of season 4, until the very end with Lilth, The whole of season 5 , except the very end when Sam makes the decision to throw himself in hell to save the world, most of season 6, most of season 7 until Sam’s put in a hospital and said to die, season 8 until the very end, season 9, until Sam rejects Gadreel, season 10, the whole season, season 11, like three episodes, season 12, like 1 episode. There is no lack of love between the brothers nor is there a lack of greater love between them "Sam and Dean love each other as much a human possibly can ~ Jared Padalecki. So thank you Sam Winchester for all you have done in the show, and thank you Jared for bringing to life such an amazing character with such humanity and depth.

cc spoilers and shit i had to write out

i watched camp camp s2e12 and im feeling the exact same thing i felt when i watched s1e12

the lyrics of the song at the end are doing something to me, i know that feeling of not being a bad kid yet being treated like if you were (have to say my gf knows it better..)
and seeing max cry wasnt good to me

i swear david and gwen will end up taking care of max no matter which kind of relationship they end up having (i mean no matter if theyre a couple or not they will be like parents to him)
seriously this episode fucked me up but thats what i was expecting

apart of that i loved seeing all the other familiars
my faves were nerris’ parents, neil’s dad and nurf’s mom
i love how nerris’ dad is just like her and though her mom is not, she tries to join their fun, same with neil’s dad
and i like how nurf tries to forgive his mom for all the things she has done and the things that got her to jail and is trying to help her everytime he can see her

also i didnt fuckin expect that to happen to cameron, guess it was time
i wanna see him again tbh he probably will appear again

bro my chest hurts, this show has become very important to me

when is that song gonna be out

jesus this is the same feeling i had with keeper of the flame why u do this to me

It’s so fucking hot…

anonymous asked:

Hey, I remember you used to do fake pages from Steve(?)'s diary, the ones where you would write out passages or smth in a sketchbook, and add drawings of them etc, and I kind of want to do a couple of things similar to that for another show, so that I'm not always drawing the same thing, but I can't think of how to do it or where to start. Do you have any tips, or anything you found out when you were doing them?

Hi anon ^^

Hey, I remember you used to do fake pages from Steve(?)’s diary, the ones where you would write out passages or smth in a sketchbook,

Yup, you remember well anon! I used to post pages from my sketchbooks and some of them could have been Steve’s sketchbooks (well, that’s what people told me ^^)

Do you have any tips, or anything you found out when you were doing them?

1) Ok, first, you have to decide what medium you want to use, traditional art or CG art.

CG art: you can use brushes that look like a pencil (see HERE and HERE) and a sketchbook texture (see HERE). The asset is that it’s easier to do, you have a better control on the final result, you can arrange the sketches on the page as you wish and add writing with a font that emulates hand writing (or just write whatever you want yourself using the brushes I linked you above). The rendering can be really cool!

Traditional art: That’s what I used above. The problem is that you have to scan and retouch everything with Photoshop. As you can see, sometimes, the pages don’t even have the same color even if they come from the same sketchbook, I never understood the reason why xD You can have a look HERE at my drawing supplies. I scanned my sketchbooks in 300dpi with a Canon scan. It’s fun but I think that if I had to do a “Steve Rogers’ sketchbook” project, I would go digital but it’s just me.

2) Now you have to decide what you want to draw in the sketchbook. Will it be random sketches or do you want to tell a story? I think it’s great to tell a story, respect a chronology and draw for instance moments that were in the show/movie you want to draw for, missing scenes and scenes from your imagination.

Let’s take an example. Supernatural, Episode 12, Season 1, Faith. Sam and Dean Winchester are ghosts/demons hunters and during a hunt, Dean is severely wounded. While Sam is at the motel trying to find a way to save his brother (because the doctors told him that there was no more hope), he hears a knock at the door and guess what, it’s Dean who escaped from the hospital, in a rather piss poor state. Stuff happens and Dean is finally saved. Happy end! (Yes, I know, TONS of other things happen in this episode, but let’s stick to this part of the story for the sake of simplification). Now, imagine that you are drawing a sketchbook from the point of view of Dean:

- moments that were in the show/movie you want to draw for: the hunt that caused Dean to go to the hospital (ex: the monster, the house where the hunt happened, etc…), Dean at the hospital.

- missing scenes: Dean escaping from the hospital and riding the bus to join Sam at the motel. It’s never shown but we guessed that’s how he showed up at the motel.

- scenes from your imagination: Sam happy to have saved his brother and the boys at a bar/a strip club/a concert celebrating because “fuck death”. Pure headcanon.

You see what I mean? Your sketches can be a mix of familiar canon and various headcanons but what is important is always to tell a story.

Also, don’t forget to add details that will tell people what kind of character draws the sketches: fake coffee stains, doodles here and there on the page, ink stains, grocery list at the top of  a picture etc…

Voilà! I hope it helped! Good luck to you ♥

Faith - Part 3

Request: Hi I was wondering if maybe you could do a rewrite of the episode faith were instead of dean getting Tased the reader does? If not that’s totally fine also.

Pairings: Dean x sister!reader, Sam x sister!reader

Word Count: 1,820

Dean’s Age: 26

Sam’s Age: 22

Reader Age: ~16

(A/N): This is a rewrite of episode 12 of season 1, “Faith”.

Part 1

Part 2

“You really think it’s the Grim Reaper? Like, angel of death, collect your soul, the whole deal?” Sam asked, glancing over his computer between you and Dean.

“No no no, not the reaper, a reaper. There’s reaper lore in pretty much every culture on Earth. They go by a hundred different names, it’s possible that there’s more than one of ‘em,” Dean responded, looking up from a stack of papers.

“But Y/N said she saw a dude in a suit,” Sam said, making you roll your eyes.

“What, you think he should’ve been working the whole black robe thing? Look, you said it yourself that the clock stopped, right?” you asked, receiving a nod from Sam. You grabbed the top paper from Dean’s pile and held it up. “Reapers stop time.”

“And, you can only see ‘em when they’re coming at you, which is why Y/N could see it and we couldn’t,” Dean continued, taking the paper back and putting it down rather rough.

“Maybe,” Sam stated skeptically, again making you roll your eyes.

“There’s nothing else it could be, Sam. The question is, how is Roy controlling the damn thing?” you trailed off, scanning through Dean’s papers another time.

“The cross,” Sam said, sitting up slightly. You looked at Dean, confused.

I feel like this scene often gets overlooked among the many other “moments where Leo Fitz is so clearly in love with Jemma Simmons that it offends me.” In his mind for these few seconds, Fitz has failed to protect Jemma - whatever the mystery grenade was went off, and for all he knows he’s just watched her die in front of him without being able to stop it. Skye sees this and automatically runs over to assess Jemma’s health, but Fitz’s reaction is very different and interesting. In the previous 12 episodes of season 1 he’s been shown to be fairly proactive in catastrophic situations, including in FZZT when he watches her jump out of the plane. In that situation, he sees what might be to others an insurmountable problem (her falling out of a plane 30,000 feet in the air) and goes straight for the parachute - there’s no way he’s letting her go that easily.

In TRACKS, however, he freezes - the probably deadly weapon has already gone off and he doesn’t think he has any recourse to fix it (without her medical assistance & biochemical expertise). Rather than behave as he normally might (by working to find a solution), Fitz can barely move. It’s as if all his muscles have spontaneously atrophied, as if the slower he moves the longer he has before he learns that Jemma really is dead. It isn’t just his legs either - even his arms move jerkily. Thanks to Skye keeping her head about her, it isn’t more than a few seconds before Fitz learns that Jemma’s just unconscious and not dead. But his complete and utter paralysis in the face of having possibly watched Jemma die is I think very indicative of how his feelings for her have progressed since the last time he saw her in immediate danger. This time, he stops functioning almost instantly, and you can practically hear him thinking “no, no, no, no” as he stares at Jemma’s body. He almost collapses when he learns that she’s alive and he bends in half, leaning on a box and needing support as he forces himself to let go of that complete and utter horror.

Later in the episode, we see Fitz comforting Jemma after she fights so desperately to save Skye’s life, but I think to some degree in that scene he’s comforting himself as well. He thought he watched her try to sacrifice herself for a second time earlier that day, and that particular fear isn’t something that’s easy for him to forget.

Shadowhunters 2B Theory

so after harry’s takeover i realized something, ya’ll know the park that harry and i guess matt were shooting at, doesn’t it look really familiar?

in episode 12 of season 1, clary, jace and magnus were going to ragnors in england and they had to go through a big field and all that.

so this is just a theory, i forgot who said it but in 2b we are supposed to see magnus opening up to alec about his past, so maybe magnus is going take alec to ragnor’s place and tell him more about him and how much he meant to magnus

now I know that harry said he was having a scene with dom and the others but they always film things weirdly and all that, so probably alec and magnus went to rangor’s place first and then jace got in trouble or something and had to go back
