Artist: Tablo (타블로) Song: Bad (나쁘다) (Feat. Jinshil/진실 of Mad Soul Child) Album: Fever’s End (열꽃), Pt. 1 EP
Tablo is known for his deep and sometimes dark lyrics. In this song, he talks about how evil love is and how it damaged him to the point of becoming a totally different person. Jinshil has a beautiful, unique voice which is always pleasant to hear even when she’s singing sad lyrics.
I actually struggled with rather or not I’ll accept this one, since I haven’t written Tablo before. He’s not even on my list. But it struck a chord with me. Those of you that’s been following me for a long time know that I also lost my father just two years ago. And I couldn’t help but wonder if someone needed this for closure…
It took about one week for the phone calls to stop.
I’m sorry for your loss
You’re in my thoughts
You’re so strong.
You’re lucky you had him for as long as you did.
Like any of those words were meant to give you some form of comfort.
At first, you found them a bit of a burden. You were all by yourself, and the last thing you wanted to do was to deal with phone calls. But it was like for the entirety of that week you were constantly on the phone. Funeral arrangements, wills, lawyers, insurance, changing bill information. Everything hit you at once. And honestly, you would have completely and totally shut down.
You wanted to run away from it. Just pack up in your car and leave. There was nothing in Seoul for you now. Your family, your strength, your entire being was gone in an instant. It was like one moment you were completely content, you had a family, and in the next it was like you were an orphan.
But the only thing that kept you anchored here was Daniel.
