Day 19: Something You Wish Had Gone Differently - The Casualties of Bastogne.
“Guarnere was badly wounded and Hoobler died accidentally. Joe Toye had lost his leg. Among the dead were Harron, Mellett, Sawosko, Kenneth Webb, Harold Webb, Alex Penkala and Skip Muck. Our month in Belgium had cost us one good officer, Buck Compton, and one bad one, Norman Dike.”
At first the Germans didn’t shoot at him. I think they couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing. But that wasn’t the really astounding thing. The astounding thing was that after he hooked up with I Company, he came back.
I finally got five seconds to draw something for myself! I’m a masochist, I like angsty rps. So I throughly enjoyed the Breaking point thread. If you like post BD game angst, give it a read. Yay for more Alternis with longer hair~
“I’ve been told there’s always been one man they could count on. Led them into the Bois Jacques, held them together when they had the crap shelled out of them in the woods. Every day, he kept their spirits up, kept the men focused, gave ‘em direction… all the things a good combat leader does.”
