ep: 14

Emo Bands as Told by a 14 Yr Old Girl

Fall Out Boy: If raised with them since a toddler, they’re amazing, but if you weren’t raised with them you probably only like Save Rock and Roll and I’m going to make you listen to Folie a Deux because I care

My Chemical Romance: My whole generation missed it but the older kids have explained the magic to me and I listen to Welcome to the Black Parade on repeat and feel sad. 2017 can’t come fast enough

Green Day: They were hella awesome when I was six and they still are

Blink 182: What

Paramore: LOOK IT’S A FEMALE

Ghost Town: LOOK THEY’RE NEW

Panic! At The Disco: Please never leave me you’re all I have left that’s still relevant plEASE

Sleeping With Sirens: I was disappointed that he wasn’t also 14 and I don’t know if that’s normal

Simple Plan: I’m angry so I’m going to blare this through my speakers for thirteen minutes

Imagine Dragons: They weren’t emo but they’re slowly changing and we’re all chanting “One of us”

Favorite Steroline Moment - #14

Favorite Steroline Moment - #14

I ship Steroline since S2, but S4 has some very important moments for me, because that’s when it went from ship to OTP for me. I already said that this was the moment I realized it was worth waiting for them and this was the moment I decided I couldn’t accept them not being together one day.

That being said, my Favorite Moment #14 is when I saw, for the first time, that Stefan was starting to get tired of the roller coaster named Elena and was starting to just live his life. And, of course, Caroline is very responsible for it! That doesn’t mean he was giving up on Elena or was not in love with her anymore, but he was starting to let go.

In this scene we have a humanity-less Elena partying at the Salvatore house, a bored Stefan and an incredulous Caroline. The point here is that Stefan is not exactly worried about any of this, but he called Caroline anyway. Of course she thought Elena was causing trouble or he was needing her help, so she went there as soon as she could, but like I said, Stefan wasn’t concerned or needing help

“Yeah, it won’t last. They’ll either drink all the booze and get bored or Damon will come home and kill everyone”

So why did he call her? For me, is as simple as that: he wanted her company.

They start talking about Elena and Caroline says that seeing her having fun makes she wants to let go, but Stefan says that if he allows himself to enjoy the party, he’s gonna end up killing people. But, Caroline encourages him

“Your sober coach is giving you the green light”

Stefan rolls his eyes, and she adds

“C’mon, you’re at a kegger, full of hot girls, and you’re single, and you’re, well.. you’re you

This is the second time she says this to him in a short periodo of time. It’s like she thinks he’s so extraordinarily amazing and it’s so obvious that saying he is he who he is, it’s the best way to define how awesome Stefan is. What happens next is one of the best things in this season (which I particularly really don’t like, except for the Steroline moments). Stefan asks

“So, what am I supposed to do? Grab some girl, throw her over my shoulder, take her out onto the dance floor?”

And Caroline replies

“Just take your own advice, have fun”

He just says “ok” and grabs her, throws her over his shoulder and takes her out onto the dance floor!!!!! How amazing is this?? I mean, she says he deserves a little bit of fun, because he’s at a party and he’s single and out of all the girls in the room, he chooses her

Steroline chosing each other. Over and over again. I love this.
